Nugent, Opportunist Hangers-on And FoxPEN

A Viet Nam Era draft dodger who evaded a draft classification via feigning insanity (Unbathed for weeks and vomit and feces in clothing) leverages Obama Derangement Syndrome with vile racism while drawing crowds and "hangers-on Flies."

palling around with Ted Nugent

Texas Republicans seem to have a great deal of affinity for the uncloaked racist.  He was invited to and attended the 2014 State of the Union Address by Representative Stockman (R) TX. Rick Perry is reported to have  figuratively embraced the Jurassic Era rocker withing the past three years.  Last week a Greg Abbott, candidate for the Texas gubernatorial seat being vacated by Rick Perry, invited Nugent to a campaign event and shared the stage while Nugent reminded the world of the segregated south in the early 1960s.

The news of yet another Texas Republican leveraging a leading racist for political gain is nothing new.  What is intriguing is how another conservative opportunist joined Abbott in using Nugent to advance their opportunity for celebrity, winning votes, selling books and maintaining a marketable presence as their value to the GOP dwindles.

Sarah Palin has endorsed Abbott as a candidate for governor while embracing and wrapping her support around the seething racist rocker.

Various media are reporting Palin posted the following post on a Facebook page this past Wednesday.
“If he is good enough for Ted Nugent, he is good enough for me!”
Apparently, Palin's drivel continued.

(Abbott is) “....a believer in the power of liberty and the need to defend our freedoms from the overreach of an out-of-control federal government.”
What a "hanger-on." It seems wherever the opportunistic one-half term former Governor Alaska can augment her notoriety she will hoover and land like an opportunist Fly.

In January, Palin sought attention via the following Facebook post. Notice Palin uses the cover of her latest book as her Facebook badge. It is all about marketing to people who are gullible enough to buy into the Palin "game."

Sarah Palin Happy MLK, Jr. Day!
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card.
".... all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card."

Do you see the fallacy in Palin's opportunistic appearances?

Is there any doubt the veracity of her utterances when within mere weeks she overtly connects with a very proud, public and Jurassic racist?

We cannot move away from the issue, despite Nugent's masked non-apology, without quick exploration of how certain media handled Nugent's Texas visit and Palin's use of the event publicity.

CNN Crossfire co-host Van Jones addressed Palin's guttural opportunism and Fox News's non-coverage.

Jones's response to Palin was succinct, apropos and duly noted via archiving on CNN.

Fox News, on the other hand, expended no broadcast development or air-tome on the Nugent event support for Abbott and his question to replace Rick Perry as the Texas State Governor.

We appreciate the fact MSNBC operates at the opposite end of the political spectrum from Fox News (with exception for Joe Scarborough, Chuck Todd and on a topical basis Andrea Mitchell). Despite obvious pockets of day-time programming with speckles of conservative commentary and its countering "lean-Left" business model, MSNBC at least offered its viewers opportunity for awareness. Informed people make good decisions and generally "do-the-right-thing." Fox again provides validation of Right-wing filtering of information and current events for sake of political position and with considerations of its viewers. We have no problem accurately depicting Fox News as the Fox Propaganda and Entertainment Network (FOXPEN).

Nugent and Palin are a surprise to no one. Both are fleeting celebrities who are one-step away from obscurity. They are clinging  to shticks that continue to provide income while actually hurting the conservative brand.

Where is Mr. Reince Priebus on Nugent and Abbott's hugfest?

UPDATE: Nugent's 1981 "Jailbait"

This is how Nugent crawled to fame among some in the population. Song and lyrics. (Thanks to Forward Progressive Dot Com )

For the uninformed, know that at age 33 production of the song denoted a clearly unstable mind. If you have doubts about Nugent's past and his psyche here is the link to the song and a live performance.
