Are these two police officers now martyrs, or will their deaths push the nation to counter growing proliferation of firearms, open-carry laws and the NRA?

As time progresses and we see more and more frequent examples of complete nut case insanity, what should everyday Americans think or do?

People who have major mental issues are acquiring weapons and acting out their fantasies or their hatred. And, yes some are acting out a deeply latent desire to die and they do not opt to simply take-out themselves. As Americans with first thoughts of "freedom do do as I want" they have every right to make terminal decision. Actually, we cannot find a rational reason for contesting taking themselves out. As you know we question why the deep desire to kill others. Why turn one's own self-destruction into an operational plan that includes killing innocent people?

Of course, there are far too many who chose solitary self-extinguishing themselves; a fact we cannot stop. Unfortunately, far too many follow another route to end-of-life: spree killing.

There is yet another category of the suicidal: the so-called neo-revolutionary. People who appear to have internalized psychological abnormality towards self-destruction and pureed the mix into a form of rationalization for armed revolution. Early reports from Las Vegas indicate two people who indicated a desire to "start the revolution" via the suicidal martyr route.

As I think back to the first mention of the "armed revolution," I recall Fox News (Sean Hannity) webpage. The graphic survey was posted within one month of President Obama's January 20, 2009. (The Daily Kos reported in February 2009, the survey may have been user generated. Intriguing).

What kind of revolution appeals most to you?
-- Military Coup
-- Armed Rebellion
-- War for Secession
Of course, the television host did not personally place the site survey, but it is important to recognize he had the power to have it immediately removed. Removal took quite some time.

In the 2009 piece, The Daily Kos offered a definition of treason:
Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, orseriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour.
"Armed revolution" as a concept of social behavior has evolved from 2009 through today. A May 2013 barometer reading via Fairleigh Dickinson University's Public Mind.fdu.edu. offers a quick perspective. The FDU survey was administered in the backdrop of the Sandy Hook shootings and in the context of gun control.
Partisan divisions on gun control go deeper than the legislation being fought over in Congress. Supporters and opponents of gun control have very different fundamental beliefs about the role of guns in American society. Overall, the poll finds that 29 percent of Americans think that an armed revolution in order to protect liberties might be necessary in the next few years, with another five percent unsure. However, these beliefs are conditional on party. Just 18 percent of Democrats think an armed revolution may be necessary, as opposed to 44 percent of Republicans and 27 percent of independents.
Only 38 percent of Americans who believe a revolution might be necessary support additional gun control legislation, compared with 62 percent of those who don’t think an armed revolt will be needed. “The differences in views of gun legislation are really a function of differences in what people believe guns are for,” said Cassino. “If you truly believe an armed revolution is possible in the near future, you need weapons and you’re going to be wary about government efforts to take them away.”
There is an apparent market for the revolution. A market for shills who pocket millions by merely interlacing the word in propaganda for the political right and to the political right. A market the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) closely monitors.

Towards mid-week, a self-proclaimed "sovereign citizen" literally attacked a Georgia courthouse in a one man Bonsai charge.  Isn't it horrific to experience incidents of unproved and wanton violence in terms of "mid-week,"  instead of "remember when."

After The Raw Story link, I posted a link to the SPLC and is take on the Courthouse "self-terminator."
