Enjoy while the caffeine kicks-in!!!!

Scarborough invokes Reagan!

Don't you tire of hearing and seeing Republicans throw Ronald Reagan in your face.

There isn't a day of news without mention of the nations 40th president. A president who not only handed all Americans since the mid 1980s Trickle-down or Supply side economics, he administered over the most corrupt Administration in US history. Yahoo Answers dot com linked here or Liberals Like Christ dot org, here.

Reagan was also not only the Father of Modern Conservatism, he is the historic patriarch of much of the nation's divisiveness regarding race. His political ambition opened the door for slimy political operative like Lee Atwater (and his shepherding of GOP Southern Strategy).  Of course, some will say, "how dare you!"  I retort declaring his candidacy for the Oval Office in Philadelphia Mississippi, promulgating "welfare queen" ideology and associated mantra and avid support for segregationist Bob Jones University, without doubt handed a platform to America racist underbelly. Also, his party continues to promulgate as much today.

Republicans also failed to remember Reagan was the first US president to actively negotiate with "terrorist" and he via Oliver North actively traded arms to Iran for hostages.  He sold arms to foreign nations to fund military hit squads in Central America. I have also read he provided Saddam Hussein his first "batch" of chemical weapons or chemical weapon technology.

As a matter of lingering damage to the nation, we must recall he nominated Antonin Scalia to the US Supreme Court. Reagan's Scalia was followed by his predecessors nominated of Clarence Thomas and Anthony Kennedy.

In case you missed the earlier point about Trickle-down economic policy from Reagan and the GOP we offer this: Income inequality rooted in economic policy. Look closely at the graphics staring in 1980 and 1981.

We have taken a rather long look at Reagan for the aforementioned reasons. We so tire of hearing republicans speak of the man as if he was a US messiah.

Earlier today Joe Scarborough fired-off the most recent example of GOP drivel regarding Reagan. During a segment on The Morning Joe Show, for some reason the on-air dialogue moved to vacationing presidents and crisis during their times away for office. Scarborough performed admirably for his ideology and party by throwing Reagan response to the shooting down of a US airliner over or near North Korea.

If Scarborough was a credible journalist Vs. an earlier morning entertainer, could not help but suffer a credibility hit. Any competent journalist would have felt like a person who let loose a major and horrific blast of flatulence in an elevator occupied by two people.

Since Scarborough is a highly compensated conservative pundit (reported to have a contract worth $100,000 per week), we should not expect more. Moreover, he simply walks away like other TV talking heads after such gross misstatements and rejoins his seat in the sun. (The host is apparently competing with John Boehner and Abby Huntsman, MSNBC,The Cycle, for deep shades of orange skin).

In fact, while Nixon indeed met with Zhou, he also met with Mao on February 21, 1972:
Nixon In China

Another noted conservative TV talking head on Obama's meeting in/south American and interaction with Venezuela's Chavez.

Scarborough via Twitter admitted his mistake within minutes of leaving the Morning Joe set.

@morningmika was right and I was wrong. Thanks for keeping me honest Mika. Great job!!!
