Santorum Fields Question About Obama Nuke Conspiracy: "I'm Not A Sitting Senator So I'm Not Taking Blame For Any Of That Stuff"

The following is the transcript of a recent anti-Obama rant with Rick Santorum as host.
QUESTION FROM VIRGINA, RETIRED SCHOOLTEACHER: Why is the Congress rolling over and letting this Communist dictator destroy my country? Y'all know what he is and I know what he is. I want him out of the White House; he's not a citizen; he could have been removed a long time ago...

Everything he does is illegal, he's trying to destroy the United States. The Congress knows this. What kind of games is the U.S. Congress playing with the citizens? Y'all need to work for us, not the lobbyists that pay your salaries.

RICK SANTORUM: Amen.

VIRGINIA: Well, get on board, let's stop this and save America. What's going on Sen. Santorum? Where do we go from here?

Ted [Cruz] told me I've got to wait for the next election.

I don't think the country will be around for the next election. Obama tried to blow up a nuke in Charleston a few months ago! And the three admirals, and generals. He has totally destroyed our military. He's fired all the generals and all the admirals that said they wouldn't fire on the American people if you asked them to do so -- if he wanted to take the guns away from them. This man is a communist dictator, we need him outta that White House now. And the Congress of the U.S. is the only-- We've lost our Congress. We've lost our executive.

[At this point, event organizers ask her to stop]

RICK SANTORUM: I got your question. Okay, well. First off... I'm not a sitting member of the Senate, so I'm not taking blame for any of that stuff, right ...

[applause]

But I will tell you this, you've hit on one point that I absolutely agree with. This is a complete lack of leadership. The bottom line is -- I can tell you when President Obama issued the executive order -- I don't care what the executive order was about-- When he issued an executive order for executive action that said he is not only not going to enforce the law, but he is going to actively change that law and make new law and force the agencies to act pursuant to that law.

He did something that -- as you mentioned-- the word tyrant comes up. The president has done a lot of dangerous things. This is the most dangerous thing he has done. He set a precedent for how the executive can act unilaterally. We're already dealing with the problem of judicial supremacy, where the courts think they can act and call the shots for everything on every issue...

But the bigger more serious legal issue in this country is a president who has established a precedent that he can decide what the law is and change it irrespective of what Congress does...

This is the unraveling, in, as bold a place as you can do it, of the Constitution of this country.

Santorum's initial response: "I got your question. Okay, well. First off... I'm not a sitting member of the Senate, so I'm not taking blame for any of that stuff."

If you want to view the full rant and Santorum's politically expedient response, it is linked here.

Of course, you nor I would expect much different from Santorum. He like most conservatives use anti-Obama derangement as fodder for ravishing voters who long to hate the nation's 44th President.
The follow portion of the Tin head meeting attendees comments attractive my interest.  The comment actually left me with a tsunami, :WHAT?"

I am a major news and current events swot (geek).  My knowledge of such an incident is nil, and I question how I could have missed such a dangerous event with such public firings of military generals and admirals.

Snopes apparently investigate the claim well prior to the Santorum meeting; here is the story.....  You and I both knew the story was FALSE, but it is great to be able to seek out the veracity of right wing dogma with the touch of a keyboard.

Derangement is one thing; a wanna be presidential candidate should exercise a degree of civility and as a minimum provide a basis for investigation of false idiotic claims. Comment as simple as, "President Obama is not a communist by any standard available to us via national reporting."

Quite probably we are asking far too much from an ideology that has leveraged an environment conducive to derangement at the level in the Santorum meeting.

....AND THE BAND PLAYS ON....
