Journailst Confronts His Gunman

Friend of the TPI Al Anderson

Maybe something of value has come from the coverage of this season's police killings of Black men and boys in America. This video posted by a White Journalist, demonstrates that there ARE White people in this society which ARE capable of reflection and insight on the matters of the INSTITUTIONAL causes of violence being the only recourse which much of urban America believes in.

I have been saddened by the numerous posts I've seen here on Facebook and other online forums. They often come from people who have NEVER had ANY experience with "life on the other side of the line." They feel in a morally superior position and therefore capable and entitled to judge those whose circumstances are rooted in the inequalities of our society which simultaneously they gain great benefit from.

Please take the few moments required to view his presentation. BUT..... Please DON'T respond immediately. Please take some additional time and consider his premises. Actually try to look at them with new eyes, rather than simply through the lens of any confirmation bias.

If you can do that, I'd appreciate hearing your reactions.
