“kill y’all ni**ers”.
In July, racists harassed the party of an African-American child in Douglasville, Georgia. The party was held on family property with the full expectation of a fun open-air event on behalf of the young child. While most US media (who bother to report the harassment) and social media website developers labelled the 15 harasses as bigots, make no mistake they were all out US racists. They brandished the all too frequently displayed Confederate flag, right along side the US Flag, under the guise of a confederate flag "respect the flag day."
The Confederate flag is considered a racist symbol by many in the United States. During the 1861-65 Civil War it was the flag of the Confederacy, a group of slave-owning states that seceded from the Union. After the Confederacy was defeated the flag was adopted by many southern groups, including white supremacists. Some people, however, consider the flag a symbol of their southern heritage and reject the idea that it is racist.
Notice the last sentence from the excerpt above. A common retort when anyone criticizes display of the flag as that of a seditious moniker of US terror. How can media continue to incompletely report on the meaning of the flag when our history is full of references to the developer of the flag, William T. Thompson, who spoke accordingly?
......As a people we are fighting maintain the Heaven-ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause. —William T. Thompson (April 23, 1863), Daily Morning News
......As a national emblem, it is significant of our higher cause, the cause of a superior race, and a higher civilization contending against ignorance, infidelity, and barbarism. Another merit in the new flag is, that it bears no resemblance to the now infamous banner of the Yankee vandals. —William T. Thompson (May 4, 1863), Daily Morning News
Point made regarding the true meaning of the flag and its continued brandishing by American racists let take a look at what took place last July.
The following is a video segment of the incident taken by party attendees.

On the day of the incident, and days after, the manner in which the incident unfolded was disputed by the party revelers and the Georgia racists. Apparently law enforcement and the local prosecutors do not support the assertion of the racists that they were targeted by the party attendees.Fifteen members of the "respect the flag" group were indicted for violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act as a gang and their use of terrorist threats. Two closing thoughts. The Justice Department has warned of US terrorism as the nation's greatest internal threat. In 2012, The Daily Kos reported on threats to President Obama.
Racism and its oppressive swaths are the ugliest and most deleterious aspects of everyday life in an Un-exceptional nation.
