How does a Manhatten billionaire with a penchant for lying deal with requests (from opponents) to release his tax returns? Doesn't the Manhatten billionaire and leading GOP presidential candidate realize Mitt Romney was tarnished for withholding his tax returns? Basically, what we have is Trump' claim he is a billionaire ten times over. I suspect the financial worth numbers are over-the-top exaggerated and the lie is being used to cover up the facts until the very last minute.
Alas, the life of the carnival barker Pied-Piper.
Current developments are casting doubt on Trumps spoken reason for release reticence and the flat-out insane lie as to why he is being audited. Let's start with the carnival barker.
Ok, well, why would the IRS enact tax audits on returns from as far back as twelve years with particular in interest in the last five years? Trump has an answer that I am sure his followers sop up like gravy with a biscuit.
It appears a person who has intimate knowledge of IRS 3Ps (Policy, Procedure, and Practice) doesn't agree with Trumps false narrative.
IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen, spoke onTrumps reticence in releasing his tax returns:
An audit in no way precludes full disclosure
Any rational person should wonder why Trump spends so much time lambasting his opponents for lying when it seems almost all Trump rhetoric is based in the "lie."
