Oscar Best Picture Mistake Due To Focusing on Trump?

If you watched the Oscars last night, you may have watched until the end of the show and witnessed an Academy Award first.

The closing presenters, Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty joked through their presentation stint, and read the wrong Best Picture winner from their presentation envelope. Actually, the movie industry icons were the victims of a Price Waterhouse blunder which surpassed Steve Harvey's misread of the winner from the last Miss Universe competition. The dynamic duo announced La La Land as the winner of the 2016 Best Picture and dozens of La La Land stakeholders flooded the stage in total revelry. Within seconds stage administrators, including Jimmy Kimmel,  Master of Ceremony, appeared agitated but professionally composed in their need to correct the grievous error. The movie Moonlighting won Best Picture and the embarrassment for all but the Moonlighting stakeholders.

So much for our crumbling state of "celebrity worship." We can not seem to even elevate a four-hour celebrity and entertainment spectacle beyond that of reality TV. While on the topic of reality TV, any rational person had to know as they retired for the night the nation's 45rh President would again show his level of utter narcissism and personal disgust.

Apparently, Trump spoke with a reporter from Steve Bannon's Breitbart News while following his common practice of effusing pure low intellect garbage.

“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end,” Trump told Breitbart. “It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening. I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”

We do not feel additional comments are necessary.
