The Talk (VIDEO)

A US corporation offers a two minute shot of humanity. (VIDEO)

I grew through my teens in the inner city of St. Louis, Missouri. after living until age 11 in the most southern town in southern Arkansas. Thus, I grew up 100% around African-Americans, (kids and adults). White Americans lived in other areas and none the thought of missing. Of course, all that has (to a degree changed).

The following video was produced by Procter and Gamble. Once the largest retailer consumer products corporation in the world.

The video is a mild reminder of bigotry and racism I missed as a kid based on segregated and socially safe proximity. First, exposure to white people was upon enlisting the US Air Force in the late 1960s. Good times and change...until while in the world largest military training base, our squadron Lt. called a meeting among all the black airmen; about ten young guys. Oh, let me state I was in Biloxi, Miss. We were told we could not attend the command Christmas party...allegedly because the off- base facility would not allow black people on the site. (How about that Rand Paul?). Actually, I suspect it was a lie. I believe higher ups in my chain of command sought and enacted segregation. Christmas Day is my birthday. The first birthday as a 17-year-old away from home...... and yes this video has merit. It is also well crafted as life in the past. Yeah right!

Buzz has it the video is not going over well among conservatives. it is being called racist. And, some wonder why I detest conservatives.
Kudos P & G.

The conversations we have but don't want to...that's 'The Talk.' Scenes of black parents openly sharing truths about bias their children
