Winter Olympics: “Faster, Higher, Stronger.” To “Darker, Gayer, Different.” (The Mind Of The Fox News Racist)

As we move into the Winter Olympics the reality of US diversity is showing like a newly minted gold medal. Do you recall the reality of a Summer Olympics Team with a noticeable exclusion of minorities with an exception for Swimming and Diving? Actually, the past US Baseball Teams (not currently an Olympic event) was pretty much minus minority players. Historically, the Winter Olympics Team was very differently populated with maybe one or two African-American athletes providing passenger weight in the Bobsledding ( or the Luge).

It seems some in the US allowed their innate biases and bigotry to guide their thoughts about a Winter Olympics Team with no minorities as a good thing.  One current Fox News programming executive published an editorial with his thoughts on the current US Team to escape into that growing cloud of racist flatulence and white nationalism.  We shouldn't be surprised. after all the racist works for Murdoch's Fox News and he holds a senior level position. I ask, is there any wonderment why Fox News is so popular among the nation's conservatives, racist and social degenerates.

Before we move to the executives written treatise, let's briefly review the racial composition of the US Team via The Washington Post.

Team USA numbers 243 athletes, which is the largest team any nation has sent to a Winter Olympics. Of that group, 10 are African American — 4 percent — and another 10 are Asian American. The rest, by and large, are white. 5

Not exactly a racial composition which would remind nor rile a racist regarding the higher percentage of black athletes on the Summer Olympics. Nonetheless, a racist needs little to draw their racist ire.
FOX News Executive Editor and VP John Moody
Unless it’s changed overnight, the motto of the Olympics, since 1894, has been “Faster, Higher, Stronger.” It appears the U.S. Olympic Committee would like to change that to “Darker, Gayer, Different.” If your goal is to win medals, that won’t work.
A USOC official was quoted this week expressing pride (what else?) about taking the most diverse U.S. squad ever to the Winter Olympics. That was followed by a, frankly, embarrassing laundry list of how many African-Americans, Asians and openly gay athletes are on this year’s U.S. team. No sport that we are aware of awards points – or medals – for skin color or sexual orientation.
For the current USOC, a dream team should look more like the general population. So, while uncomfortable, the question probably needs to be asked: were our Olympians selected because they’re the best at what they do, or because they’re the best publicity for our current obsession with having one each from Column A, B and C?

The network quickly removed the editorial but is often the case with Fox News Moody had fed his hordes of racist and bigots. Existentially the removal was akin to the Judge telling the Jury they didn't hear the prosecutors "Sustained" objection.

Oh, the social regression of Paleozoic America and Fox News state TV.
