Trump Repealed Gun Legislation:GOP Accommodating, NRA Happy, Many More Dead

Vox and other Internet sites are reminding us that almost one year ago Trump and his Congress enacted a law which repealed President Obama's one major piece of gun legislation.

It did not attract a ton of attention at the time (nothing does these days) but about a year ago on February 28, 2017, Congress passed and Donald Trump signed a law revoking an Obama-era regulatory initiative that made it harder for people with mental illness to buy a gun.
As highlighted in the Vox piece, check this.
So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!
Trump's efforts to shift all blame for the killing of 17 in Parkland Florida is literally obscene and pathetic. Of course, the FBI call-center failed and deserves every iota of criticism and hopefully severe discipline up to and including discharge.  Any effort to shift all blame to law enforcement is as phony as Trump convincing the nation he would build a wall, back out of the Iran deal, label China a currency manipulator and all other manifestation of campaign lies.

The Florida killer purchased 10 rifles in a span of a year.  Is it possible his purchases were facilitated by Trump, Ryan and McConnell's NRA and gun industry appealing legislation?

In any case, Trump's carnival act is wearing thin and we are seeing signs of catastrophe, in part, result from his and GOP administration of federal governance.

Here is the classic case of, don't think about how I handed the gun industry a vote, watch my lips.

NPR published a piece with three charts which show the utter hypocrisy and weapons manufacturers coziness with the gun industry.
