"Democrats Are Racists"?

As previously posted a segment of MSNBC's The Beat went off track yesterday. The derailment should have been as predictable as awakening each day to a new rash of Trump lies. The third-ranking cable news network pulled the pin on a hand grenade and waited far too long to dispense of the ordinance. It exploded.

When networks allow conservative talking machines on their air, the network executives and producers desire criticism. We posted the (full) aforementioned segment in an earlier post. the following excerpt has been embedded to make a point.

Before the 46-seconds from the Twitter post, be reminded of this.

Conservative talking head, Candace Owens, arrived at the MSNBC camera setting equipped with Gish Gallop deflection and Goebbels -like strategy.

(Click red link)
How about that?

Would someone please corner these people and ask them to clearly delineate and itemize the dogma they spew? The following simple set of questions, if posed directly with little patience for deflection, will prove the Gish Galloping Owens a mere conservative mouth-piece.

If the Democrats are the true racists...
Why is there zero examples of overtly racist politicians claiming party membership?
Why is there no Steve King (R-IA) in the Democrat Party?
Why isn't Pat Buchanan a Democrat?
How about explaining why the nation's Nazis and white supremacists affiliate with the GOP?
Why not ask Owens such questions?

As Trump's World Turns: Racial Animus, Bias And A Lack Of Leadership

Let's take a quick review of a president who is obviously biased against African-Americans and a president who knows how to use the inner core of his followers for political advantage.

CNN's Jeffrey Tobin caught offset and asked a direct question about his perception of Trump's views on race.

The reason we opened this piece as we chose to open will become clear in a moment follow.

Yesterday MSNBC producers and show programmers suffered either a case of very poor judgment (while ignoring the prospect of "I told you so" reactions) or staged an ugly interaction which was as forecastable as the 24/7 clock. Ari Melber's The Beat was the forum for an interaction with a common example of Fox News like conservative guest dogma or CNN-like Jerry Springer staged verbal violence.

What follows is a segment in which the show host Melber via his producers lead with examples of how Trumps existential reality echoes that of the white supremacist Pat Buchanan.  Apparently, the Trump camp conservative and noted Fox News talking head Candace Owens wasn't pleased. Owens was clearly equipped for a mission which resembled a common debate (Gish Gallop) weapon/technique in an effort to burn a majority of speaking time in a segment which ran with tight time restraints.  I have long suggested or posited conservatives use the tactic whenever possible while speaking on non-Fox News TV.

What follows is ugly but not uncommon when certain conservatives paid pundits are booked on MSNBC and CNN.

The Beat/Ari Melber: linked.

Clearly, Owens was about deflection, distraction, and combat after watching comparisons of Pat Buchanan and Donald Trump.  Owens delivered an obvious performance goal without regard for the ugliness and unprofessionalism imparted by the Galloper. But then, do conservative talking heads really care about pride and professionalism.

Herewith is another example of outright and unabashed lying and ridiculousness from another of Trump's black rationalizersL Darrell Scott. Notice the over the top praise of a person who actually fits the Pat Buchanan comparison like no other US President. Linked here.

If Trump isn't as a minimum sympathetic to the depiction which follows, he certainly does a great, wonderful and bigly (Trump-like hyperbolic adjective praise), job of disguising his inner core. A core which would lead any US president to speak out against growing cases of overt racism and white nationalist protests.

Fox News: Reprehensible

As we move towards Trump's meeting with the dictator of North Korea Americans who are free of chronic Trumpism should reveal how Fox News earn billions disparaging former President Obama's willingness to meet with any international leaders. While watching the following video recognize this.

WIKI Leaks And Totalitarianism

Image result for hitler the lie
Image result for hitler the lieMike Pence (and his "I am astonished you would think that look", ) has worn out as Trump campaign interaction with WIKI LEAKS has come to light.  It has become obvious and validated. Trump's team must have gone into the campaign with a litmus test which included an ability to offer extreme lies in a manner which would please even Santa Clause.

Is this where it all leads? Trump as dictator of the US. If you haven't noticed Trumpian authoritarianism since this past January you have to be a Trump supporter.   Last night, Ari Melber interviewed a guest who offered a compelling case Trump would serve as a dictator if not placed in check. Earlier in the day Brian Klaas’s released his new book "The Despot's Apprentice: Donald Trump's Attack on Democracy.

Bill Moyers: Trump Credibility (The Lack Thereof)

It is Friday, it is early and you may be a work. You may not have time to read a fairly lengthy piece from Bill Moyers, but you may have a few minutes throughout the day to check out Moyers on Trump's integrity.

First, an intriguing analogy from MSNBC's Ari Melber.
Bill Moyers (Bill Moyers & Company) Lest We Forget The Birther Lie

Trump is giving the nation what we expected. His supporters love his lack of honesty and shadiness, they love his reality TV aura and demeanor, and they love his obviously flawed character. On the other end of the spectrum, many of us do not find him imbued with any level of character and we abhor his lack of honesty and cronyism.

Love Trump or despise Trump, there is no credible counter-argument he is a danger to the nation from many perspectives.  The problem with Trump is the nation can not just Trump the channel away from a bad reality show.

MSNBC Caught "Playing" To Conservative Viewers

How can the exhibition of the horrid side of Americana lead to the following from the Morning Joe (and minions) Show? You will notice Morning Joe Show producers booked one of America's most regressive conservatives to partake in what can only be described as "deflection." Why not book a more middle-of-the-road conservative for an important and sorely needed critique of an exhibition of Americana the from nation's most privileged and elitist example of white privilege.  Better yet, why not produce a show that simply laid bare the horrid racism and insensitivity to people who may have lost a loved one to lynching?

The words from Kristol:
“Popular culture becomes a cesspool, a lot corporations profit off of it, and then people are surprised that some drunk 19-year-old kids repeat what they’ve been hearing,” said Bill Kristol. He added that Tipper Gore “tried to raise this issue, and was widely ridiculed,” referring to the parental advisory labels the future V-FLOTUS enacted after her daughter purchased Purple Rain thirty years ago.

“The kids that are buying hip hop or gangster rap, it’s a white audience, and they hear this over and over again,” Joe Scarborough said. “So do they hear this at home? Well, chances are good, no, they heard a lot of this from guys like this who are now acting shocked.”
The video....

According to Mediaite.... "UPDATE — 4:15 p.m. ET: Mika Brzezinski addressed her comments, with Al Sharpton beside her, on MSNBC’s The Cycle Wednesday afternoon. " Read more and watch the video clip here.
Crooks and Liars also ran the clip from the Cycle. My thoughts? The clip is nothing more than MSNBC working to cleanup a mess from Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. Frankly, Al Sharpton was noticeable cautious regarding his employers "Stack-ed deck" interview with Ari Melber. Melber did not in any pursue an interview; he merely fulfilled a role from his employer to facilitate Mika's rambling almost Sarah Palin like comments.

Crooks and Liars...

Mika-brzezinski-does-damage-control

At the end of it all, the only relevant point is why did Joe Scarborough and his co-host even go to HiP Hop/Rap music when the focus should have been on a bus of America's young practicing racism witnessed since the fall of Jim Crow?

The answer is in accordance with Phil Griffin's, NBC President's, edict to un-liberalize the network.

Thugs, White Privilege, And Storm-troopers

When you hear the word "thug" what image conjures in your mind?

Did you go here?

Or, are you old enough to recall these guys as "thugs?" The original Black Panther Party (for Self defense): Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton.

I have little doubt you have forgotten this episode after the an NFL playoff game who years ago.

How many times did you hear or read Richard Sherman's exuberant post game rant against his game opponent? Now, think of the number of times you heard the word "thug" as integral to criticism of the defensive back?

Sherman's comments on his exuberant rant, reaction to his exuberance and the label given to him via right-wing racist, bigots and indignant fools. The latter characterization (indignant fools) should have worked to capture anyone who thought of Sherman via thoughts of "thuggery."

Yet, not one person in America referred to these video pugilist as exhibiting "thuggery:"  NASCAR fight. Is it necessary to comment on why no label regarding the NASCAR fight and over-the-top repeated labeling of Sherman's exuberance? The last question was rhetorical.

If you are a high information person, you might know the origin of the "thug" vernacular. An origin far removed from American society and very much antithetical to commonly accepted paradigms.

thug[thuhg]

1.    a cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer.
2. (sometimes initial capital letter) one of a former group of professional robbers and murderers in India who strangled their victims.
Origin

1800-10; < Hindi thag literally, rogue, chea

How often have you hear the word thug used in association with white me acting badly? After the killing of Michael Brown (Ferguson Missouri protesters, hooligan (opportunist) and locals were referred to as "thugs' far more than happenstance.

The Missouri National Guard was deployed to Ferguson and it looked much like a scene from Omaha Beach in France of world War II.........

No let's take a look a phenomenon that can be called nothing shy of white privilege. Whites behaving badly and no concern with being labelled a "thug."

Vancouver

Penn State riot..No tears gas, no militarized cadres, no plastic handcuffs, no CNN and  no Fox News.

Location unidentified, but these two clearly not leaving the WalMart Store. Ever recall a looter with a Nine-Iron? I have seen black looters with flat screen television and newly acquired tennis shoes, but never a Nine-Iron.

We move from opportunist with a flair for the links to a more dire exhibit of white people behaving badly (replete with racism chants and disrespect for the nation).

Right-Wing Watch
Overheard At Anti-Obama Rally: 'Hang Him! We've Got Rope'  SUBMITTED BY Brian Tashman on Thursday, 12/11/2014 1:30 pm
Yesterday, a small group of right-wing demonstrators gathered in front of the White House at a rally scheduled to coincide with the visit of a number of sheriffs who were in Washington, D.C., to protest President Obama’s executive action on immigration.
One activist who was filming the rally spoke to several attendees who said they wanted to lynch Obama.
Among the remarks picked up by the cameraman:
 “Hang the traitor!”
 “Hang the lying Kenyan traitor!”
 “We’ve got rope.”
“Plenty of trees in the front yard, wouldn’t be the first one hung on one of them trees.”
“Whatever happened to those good ol’ days?” “Don’t snap his neck, you watch  him choke to death.”
“He’s just biding his time until Satan takes him home to where he belongs.”

Not once did you nor I read any reference to "thug" to label whites acting badly. I posit the diminution of a people (even hooligans) facilitates the prospect of catastrophic acts against a minority from the majority population.

While it is not my express intent to predict evil acts comparable to genocide (against a people), I am certainly positing on growing evidence of deleterious acts against segments of the American population. Overt militia and so-called Oat-Keepers activity, growing hatred manifest in racist acts, homophobic name calling and increased autocratic edicts against child-bearing aged women from conservative politicians. And, how do authoritarian regimes and majority oppressors enforce their will on the oppressed?

Last night Ari Melber, All In, delivered two stellar segments that exemplify, my point. Watch as militarized cops perform "their Jobs" via death in case when just a bit of communication and competent policing could have avoided. How easy is it to kill?

Segment 1Notice the Cleveland Police Union Chief's concern for the death of the 12 year kid Tamir Rice.  Rice was summarily shot after a call to 9/11 in which the caller stated the victim looked like a kid and they caller suspected the gun was not a real handgun. Of particular note is the union chiefs closing remarks.  "......do as you are told, do as we say...and if we are wrong the courts will rule?  Really, the courts do not rule the courts work to justify and exonerate the work of veritable storm-troopers.

Let's take another look and listen to what can only be described as blue badge authoritarian and language I am certain many Jews heard as they were herded from their homes to train cattle  cars.  The last 40 seconds of the segment.

Do as we say....and let the courts settle it out if we kill inappropriately. Really?

South Carolina State Trooper shots innocent man while the man was "doing as he was told.

New Jersy cop attempts to claiming "he is grabbing my gun."

allowscriptaccess="always" allownetworking="all" allowfullscreen="true" src="http://cdn.abclocal.go.com/static/flash/embeddedPlayer/swf/otvEmLoader.swf?version=fw1000&station=wabc&section=&mediaId=9440993&cdnRoot=http://cdn.abclocal.go.com&webRoot=http://abclocal.go.com&configPath=/util/&site=">

Didn't Michael Brown's killer Darren Wilson claim Brown grabbed his gun?

Segment 2: Questioning the innocent after the Walmart killing of John Crawford. Notice the person who called the cops recanted his comments that Crawford was pointing the pellet rifle at people.

Simply stated, behavior for some Americans (black people) does not garner the same level of response as similar behavior from others (white people), and the dynamic is particularly pathetic when we are seeing bold overt evidence of cops as enforcers of socially disparate treatment.Imagine our world with a republican in the White House with two Houses of Congress led by Republicans and the Robert's court.

Complete oligarchy with enforcers paid via our tax dollars and now attorney General to seek proper policing and civil redress.

Rand Paul: Chameleon With Trojan Horse In Tow

African American voters watch out for the Trojan Horse.
Rand Paul is after your Achilles Heel.

The partnership between Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Rand Paul (R-KY) is bothersome. Of course, there is heartfelt and touching good associated with renewing voting rights and freeing certain felons of the anvil against fair employment to some who may have been convicted of felonies that were non-violent crimes is an issue. And, yes, young black males receive disproportionately unbalanced sentences for crimes their white counterparts (for various reasons) may never see a day in court. We even have recent revelations of convictions and prison sentences of judges who took money to railroad youth to private prisons. So, the Paul/Booker 'Buddyship' is for germane and relevant to fairness in the US

The Daily Review February 2011
Mark A. Ciavarella Jr/ Michael T. Conahan
A jury in U.S. District Court found Ciavarella guilty of racketeering and conspiracy for accepting $997,600 from wealthy developer Robert K. Mericle. Mericle testified he won a contract to build a for-profit juvenile detention center after a referral from Ciavarella.
The judges, and I am sure there are more, sentenced youth to prison across the racial spectrum. They are identified here as examples to delineate the good in the Booker/Paul initiative (bill). That said, I find it intriguing Paul chooses voting rights and employment rights for certain felons over other issues that would serve for a better life for Americans in aggregate (e.g., the ACA, Unemployment payments, minimum wage hike). Intriguing, but not surprising as we watch Paul's efforts to "woo" the black vote. He knows as do you and me black youth reap the worse of the US Justice system. He also knows he cannot win the US Presidency absent some degree of "smiles" from the black community.

Rand Paul has a recent history of revelations regarding 'serial plagiarism' and videoed public comment to an audience of medical students about his recognition of the need for misinformation. "Misinformation" is a euphemism for "lies." Some might say Paul's comments in this clip were meant to be flip. Au contraire! His comments appear serious. Moreover, his comments to the young medical students were deeply revealing regarding Paul's inner core and honesty deficiency.

Paul and Booker have embarked on a visuals tour to sell their initiative. Paul is obviously using the camera opportunity to enhance his standing with black voters (and yes non-violent felons comprehensively). Booker's motive? Well, no comment in this screed. Their trod-ding around led to an afternoon exclusive interview with a co-host of the MSNBC's , The Cycle.   I have embed the interview below. It is a 12 plus minute exhibition, but (allow me to influence) worth every second. While Ari Melber listened as Paul and Booker spoke about the necessity of their bill (unarguable good), you had to know Melber would perform a professional level of journalism and question Paul about past comments regarding the Civil Rights Act of 1965.  He went on record with Rachel Maddow with issues regarding the legislation. Today he repeats his denial to another MSNBC reporter (earlier in the week). He denied he ever said he was against the Civil Rights Act.

The misinformation specialist and subterfuge guru is applying basic legalese and deploying a twisted form of sophism. He will say grab the tape, "I never said I was against the Act." Melber gave Paul at least two opportunities to say he had evolved from his comments with Maddow. Paul went Machiavellian and took the offensive with his own from of Gish Gallop via repeatedly stating he was not against the Civil Rights Act (along with showing of "The Hand" for effect). He went offensive (more than twice) while reminding Melber "his network" (MSNBC hosts) was lying about his comments six hosts mind you.   The advantage in going Gish Gallop is supported by the fact the perpetrator knows the host has limited air-time in which to conduct the interview. When Mitt Romney used the debate technique on President Obama in the first Presidential Debate. We regularly see it used in time framed on-air appearances when the speaker does not want a fully comprehensive or probing interview.

As you view the interview, watch the dynamics. Not only does Paul deploy "The Hand" he looked to Booker for humor and validation when first questioned about "stirring-up controversy." Booker was coy enough to give "his buddy" a perfunctory one third smile. He certainly was foolish enough to offer his buddy a full set of 32 gleaming white teeth.  The sincere person who maybe felt Paul was guilty of flip flopping for effect would have given no nonverbal response.

http://on.msnbc.com/1tuuudC

Maddow, of course would respond and I am most pleased she did who within hours.  I must also state, I am growing increasing weary and leery of Chris Matthews seeming to warm-up to Paul when he knows Paul has major credibility flaws.
