Yet, another Right-wing attack based in race! and the New York Post publishes!

Shawn Corey Carter (AKA Jay-Z)
I am not a listener of Hip-Hop. I do not listen to Rap Music regardless of who is reciting the verse.  The reason: simply not my preference and I am old school with preference for a singing voice.  Of course, I would be a liar if I did not admit to extreme aversion to the misogynist and vulgar 'tunes and rhythms" of some Hip- Hop and Rap performers. However, one cannot ignore the successes of some Hip Hop and Rap performers. While there are many successful performers, only a couple equal or surpass the success of Shawn Corey Carter (AKA Jay-Z).

Jay Z via Wiki....

Why does success for some seem to bother people who maybe by coincidence work for certain entities? The latest case is no different than the exponentially greater number and scope of such attacks since November 4, 2008.  There is a difference this time. The latest attack from a writer. A writer of  a despicable set of words towards Mr. Shawn C. Carter and his management team decisions regarding their NBA Basketball Team.  The NBA team owner, shared ownership,  in cohort with the Brooklyn Nets Basketball management team moved to change the team logo, uniform and associated brand wear/items. An ownership team prerogative and right, as the team is not owned via public shares of stock such as the Green Bat Packers.

New team logo.

Jay-z is reported to have been involved in team logo design. He is a team owner!  What is it about that dynamic riles the New York Post writer,  Phil Mushnick, and by fact of publishing Mushnick's piece. the newspaper itself.

In brief:.....
As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots -- what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new "urban" home -- why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?
Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York N------s? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn B----hes or Hoes. Team logo? A 9 mm with hollow-tip shell casings strewn beneath. Wanna be Jay-Z hip? Then go all the way!

More detail....
Renowned newspaper the New York Post is currently catching fire over a Friday (May 4) column which racially goes after rap mogul Jay-Z and his Brooklyn Nets. In his "Equal Time" column, New York Post writer Phil Mushnick attacks Young Hov and his influence on the team's new "urban" attire. "As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots -- what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new "urban" home -- why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment? Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York Ns? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn Bhes or Hoes. [1] A "race hustler" here, a "welfare queen" there. Hey, times change, we evolve, and the Post is evolving, too: Now it's just straight-out using racial slurs. Here's part of today's sports column from Phil Mushnick : As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots -- what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new "urban" home -- why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment? Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York Ns? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn Bhes or Hoes. [2] Phil Mushnick is a New York Post columnist with the column "Equal Time". Today, Mushnick turned heads not just with his original remarks but also his follow-up comments. In it, Phil Mushnick writes "As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new "urban" home why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?" He adds "Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York ? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn or. [3]
Phil Mushnick, a New York Post columnist, wrote Friday that the Brooklyn Nets should be called "New York Ns" if Jay-Z is "calling their marketing shots" in a racist rant that has shocked the sports world with its insensitivity. In his sports column for the day he first he drops his ridiculous opinion that he's not surprised the team has chosen black and white as its team colors, as he believes it makes sense due to their "urban" location. [4] Critics are calling New York Post's sports columnist Phil Mushnick a racist for his column taking issue with Jay Z's re-branding of the Brooklyn Nets' basketball team. Jay Z, a minority owner of the NBA team, said he "pushed for the new black and white color scheme." In his column, published online today (May 4, 2012) Mushnick questions the Nets' decision to "allow" Jay Z to "call their marketing shots." [5]
As is always the case "the Perp" has a follow-up to their heartfelt and most honest comment: the first comment (is always from one's deep inner self).

UPDATE: Mushnick responded to the furore surrounding his column later on Friday. Writing to sports site Bob's Blitz, he said that there had been "obvious, wishful and ignorant mischaracterizations" of his words.
"Jay-Z profits from the worst and most sustaining self-enslaving stereotypes of black-American culture and I'M the racist?" he continued. "Some truths, I guess, are just hard to read, let alone think about."

Will it take a lost of an election or completion of a Barack Obama second term for such trashy and guttural actions to subsidy?  It seems many need a pacifier, but I am afraid the pacifier will have to be void of any color.

Ahhhh, Americana....
