The Daily GOP Ignominious: The Frankenstein Monster Beckoned !

An LA Times Op-Ed headline.

She's hot, she's blue collar, she's electable."

As we watched the degeneration of the GOP, conservative pundits seem to be working evening harder to screw the party into the muck of complete mediocrity.

MSNNow reports with link to the LA Times Insane OP-ED.

Conservative pundit endorses Sarah Palin for 2016 nomination

If you were waiting with bated breath for the "Draft Palin" movement, it's your lucky day! Conservative columnist Charlotte Allen has endorsed Sarah for the 2016 GOP nomination in today’s Los Angeles Times. Allen argues, apparently with a straight face, that "large segments of the electorate neither know nor care much about serious economic and political issues," and that Palin is the ideal Republican vehicle for "appealing to voters' emotions." Continuing her penetrating political insights, Allen adds that the former governor’s good looks are key to Republican success, since "men love Sarah Palin, and she loves men." We'll just let that sink in. [Source]

I realize OP-Ed writers have contractual responsibilities. It is a real shame some are not guided to their keyboards with intelligent purpose.  The United States of America has problems granted, The nation surely does not need a female version of Jed Clampett at the helm of the Executive Branch of Government.  One would think the GOP has had enough of "she is hot" Palin. First, she may be hot to the 92% of white America who continues to subscribe to the lowest level of GOPism in US History.  I suggest she is not "hot" in the eyes and hearts of the majority of intelligent Americans.  Second, we can only hope the party pulls itself back into the critical thinking and cognitive processes important for governance in a rapidly changing world (e.g., demographically, climatically, and internationally). Talk of Sarah Palin does not lend to the thought the party may have learned serious lessons from the election of two weeks ago.    On a tertiary basis, let's hope that Allen simply ran up against an OP-Ed deadline and opted to throw-out a frighteningly  entertaining, conservative tickling screed to meet contractual responsibilities.

......AND THE BAND PLAYS ON.......
