Monsanto Bill Signed A Midst Government Funding Bill

Repost source linked below.

If you want to see the classic example of the American Legislative Exchange at work, look in Missouri. Roy Blount (R) and supporter of Todd "Legitimate Rape Akin", succeeded in slipping the Monsanto Bill into the federal government greater funding bill.

Inactivity and passivity fuels people who may not share the best interest of the  majority.  ~The Pardu

This is now the law of the land...........another win for Monsanto.

The provision's language was apparently written in collusion with Monsanto. Lawmakers and companies working together to craft legislation is by no means a rare occurrence in this day and age. But the fact that Sen. Roy Blunt, Republican of Missouri, actually worked with Monsanto on a provision that in effect allows them to keep selling seeds, which can then go on to be planted, even if it is found to be harmful to consumers, is stunning. It's just another example of corporations bending Congress to their will, and it's one that could have dire risks for public health in America.

Inside The 'Monsanto Protection Act'
The "Monsanto protection Act" was slipped in as a rider on the bill to stop Government shut down. Very few even knew it was in there. It is temporary so the bigger stink we make of it the better chance that it will not be extended past the 6 months it is in effect. This is a great time to put pressure on Obama to issue an EO to demand they label GMO foods now. Let's use this as an opportunity to inform people and get them to petition the White House for labeling and to never extend this travesty. When people are outraged they TAKE ACTION! www.whitehouse.gov/contact
