The Daily GOP Ignominious: Sarah Palin

We don't often start our screeds with video. We must reconfigure our model to accommodate the latest episode of Sarah Palin hawking books and leveraging the political season for speaking engagements.

The Palin interview.

Sarah Palin has come out of the cold North to hawk a book and grab speaking engagement bucks.

Tis the season!

We are not speaking of "hunting season" nor the holiday season. Palin has come to life for money grabs that she and her marketing handlers run concurrent and aligned with political seasons. As with hunting seasons, conservatives need their "red meat." Despite the horrific flaws in her overall being (mental and psychical) who better to add a female perspective to conservative dogma than Palin.  It does not matter that she so obviously is not one who speaks the truth in most cases, it only matters that she speaks. It makes no difference if what she says is more often than not illogical, irrational, factually incorrect, insensitive and outright ridiculous, what matters is she speaks.  Allow a quick metaphorical analogy.

During times of decaying Rome, it did not matter the weekend killing at the Colosseum grew to animals killing humans, what mattered was death in the most hideous way possible. Gladiators gave way to starved lions feasting on helpless Christians. Death became the thrill and it was important to have it in the most grotesque manner possible. I find decaying Rome the perfect metaphor of low information people who relish every word from the mouth of Sarah Palin. It does not matter Palin is void of intellect and seriously lacking in good judgement.  What matter is she speaks.

We post the following as the perfect example. Palin sat for the interview with Jake Tapper, CNN. She agreed to a friendly media interview and without the shield and moat of high powered GOP operatives. She predictably delivered as Palin often does: rambling gibberish, replete with incoherence and a staccato speaking manner that denotes high level of loblolly.

Huffington Post.....

"It was not my intention to be critical of Pope Francis," Palin wrote Thursday on her Facebook page. "I was reminding viewers that we need to do our own homework on news subjects, and I hadn't done mine yet on the Pope's recent comments as reported by the media."

She continued, "I apologize for not being clearer in my response, thus opening the door to critical media that does what it does best in ginning up controversy."
We feel that Sarah Palin is incapable of being clearer in any response. She mentions "ginning-up people". Here we go again!  Palin's remarks led to backlash. Palin agreed to the interview in which the remarks came forth. Palin's brain developed the comment and it emanated from her mouth. What did the media do to "gin-up" people?  Once the comment came from Palin the "gin was moving up!" Gin-up did not need additional inertia; the comment was stupid.

Will Palin ever accept any degree of responsibility for her inane drivel?

The CNN interview may have led to the following strategy from the Palin traveling road show.

Huffington Post
A reporter covering Sarah Palin at a book signing on Thursday said that she and other members of the press were kept in a guarded room and prevented from talking to Palin and customers in the store.

Here in here media Walmart holding room. At least there's snacks...
All media will be escorted off the property after we get five minutes seeing Palin, we are told.

It seems my comments about Palin not being sheltered, shielded and moated was a bit premature.
....AND THE BAND PLAYS ON.....
