The University of Amnesia (U OF A) (update)

Don't attempt to shake or disrupt my paradigm!

November 28, 2014

As Department Head in Political Science at The University of Amnesia. I recommend to all of you my class in "Politics: Don't Confuse Me with Facts: My Mind is Already Made Up". Entertaining and enlightening AND in two weeks you will have forgotten all about it. Sign up now.

The first six investigations into Benghazi did little to cool the hotheads who suspect the Obama administration of recklessly endangering American lives and then covering it up. That fact should temper hopes that a...

Reflection is work, that we often avoid.

As we often forget rioting and violence related civil disobedience has no monopoly by any race, ethnicity or social grouping.  All too often I hear and read that I am reading these days:
"He (Mike Brown) was no angel."
"He stole a pock of cigarillos and did not obey a cop."
"They are burning their own neighborhoods."
"They do not have the intelligence to know better."
"Get a job."
While perusing around Facebook, I ran across an interesting and intriguing take on people who pass judgment without any consideration of looking in their backyards.

A character out on Facebook has established a University of Amnesia and invited the creative mind to join via enrollment. Low and behold early curriculum and associated lesson plans include an reflective look at how some via paradigm seek to cast stones in the ponds of others while cherishing their ripple free and placid ponds.

Expected Outcome: Paradigm Shift

Par·a·digm shift
  1. a fundamental change in approach or underlying assumptions.

The shattered paradigm hurts.
"Ohhhh. Don't make me do this. Ohhhh. This is too hard,"

Today's class in "Remembering Last Week" here at Amnesia U featured the always gregarious Chris Rock with a timely, if brief, lecture.
One of the students remarked "Who IS this" and after I reminded him, he was still puzzled. 'Who's that Rodney King person to whom he referred?' Mr. Rock then proceeded to 'beat his ass'. Good times a The University of Amnesia, where student ASSistance is always available.
