Letterman Refers to O'Reilly As A "Goon?" And Jon Stewart Does FOXPEN (Fox Propaganda And Entertainment Network)

Bill O'Reilly is hawking a book. He is also under formidable scrutiny for lying and is-representing stories regarding reporting news. From lies about coverage of the Falklands War through JFK's assassination, O'Reilly is mired in revelation and potentially exposed as a fraud. You and I know he is a fraud and a Fox News demagogue. He is also an intelligent human being who serves as a right-wing "Carnival-Barker."

As a Fox News carnival barker he serves well. His show is the most watched news related show on cable television ad the most watched show on Fox News. The latter for the sane among us is not an item that garners praise. Loyal Fox News viewers obviously consider O'Reilly is an ideology king comparable to Rush Limbaugh.

While I avoid late night talk shows with zest equal to my avoidance of American award shows (e.g., The Academy Awards, The Grammys, et al) the following caught my attention.  O'Reilly sat with David Letterman last night.  The ten minutes segment didn't seem to go well for the Fox News mouthpiece.

Lettermen may have quipped about O'Reilly as a goon, but the characterization is most fitting and totally apropos.

As is always the case at the TPI, I will confess to an affinity for the AVN Awards show.

While on the topic of Fox News, Jon Stewart continued his point-on mocking of the FOXPEN (Fox Propaganda and Entertainment Network) and the WWE of cable news networks.

“Plenty more where that came from,” he said. “We only have a 22-minute show.”
When the late night comedians are knee deep in your business model, you really do have a problem.
