The Daily GOP Ignominious: Jindal Declares "Tanned" And Exhorts "Take Our Country Back" Back From What?

Bobby Jindal declares he is tanned and exhorts to "Take our country back."

Limited Edition: Tanned, Rested, Ready T-Shirt
Is this what GOP politics has come to.  A non-white American fiends slight of tongue "tanned" to assuage the psyches of this 92% white party.

past tense: tanned; past participle: tanned
  1. (of a pale-skinned person or their skin) become brown or browner after exposure to the sun.
"you'll tan very quickly in the pure air"

No, the Governor of Louisiana is not tanned; he is  a person of color and that does not bode well in the GOP.  Jindal can rest assured his party will make the real determination that you are not white when ties comes to make a choice.

AddictingInfo published a worthy screed regarding Jindal's efforts to close the likes of Clarence Thomas and Kevin Jackson.
Addicting Info excerpt...
Born to Indian-American parents, Piyush Jindal changed his name to “Bobby'”at an early age. While Sharma says in her video that Jindal changed his name because of “Bobby from the Brady Bunch,” it’s likely that early experiences with racism played a major role in that decision.

Jindal’s own words, from a 2013 op-ed published by Politico, tell us that he believes that racism is the fault of minorities. If only they’d conform to the racists’ demands, there wouldn’t be a problem.

“We still place far too much emphasis on our ‘separateness,’ our heritage, ethnic background, skin color, etc. We live in the age of hyphenated Americans: Asian-Americans, Italian-Americans, African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Cuban-Americans, Indian-Americans, and Native Americans, to name just a few. Here’s an idea: How about just ‘Americans?’ That has a nice ring to it, if you ask me. Placing undue emphasis on our ‘separateness’ is a step backward.”

Jindal’s sad attempts to deny his Indian culture and Indian heritage didn’t stop with changing his name. The Washington Post reports that Indian-Americans who supported Jindal in his run for governor quickly realized that Jindal was embarrassed to be associated with anything traditionally Indian:

A longtime family friend named Sumir Chehl recalls how, before attending Jindal’s primary-night victory party in 2003, she received a phone call from Jindal’s father asking her to wear Western dress for the event. “He said that’s what his political advisers were saying,” said Chehl, who nonetheless wore a flowing top and pants common in Punjab. “It gave me the feeling that he was trying to disassociate from his heritage.” She said Indian dress was also discouraged for his 2008 inauguration.
And then there was the February 2014 unveiling of Piyush Bobby Jindal’s portrait, which bizarrely portrayed him as a white-skinned man.

White like me…?
The following is a two minute dead-on responses to Jindal's charade.

OK ethnic and racial issues aside. Jindal's minstrel strategy to appeal to white voters, is deeply offensive to people of color and indicative of Jindal's deep personal inner core values.

Jindal differentiates with proclamation of "We need to take our country back."  The mantra works for conservatives, but sits are baseless and groundless when one actually looks at what Jindal (and others) want to seek in their "take back."

Lets leave the real prospect that Jindal will never win the GOP nomination (and fie that reality right along with Ben Carson).  How about the business of take our country back? Unless, and of course, you view that mantra as resultant from the election of an African-American President data exists that shed negative light on GOP "governance" of the nation. Let's assume you do not perceive take our country back as the bias railings of US conservatives, and take a peep at their to desire to return life under the GOP.

GDP Growth (A real measure of the total value of goods and services produce in the United States)

Voxeu 2014

Income Growth 1948 - 2005 (with exception for the nation's Top 5% (ers)...The GOP's prime constituency)

Jobs over time

Millions of Private Sector Jobs Created Per Year

Auto Industry

Of course, we know the GOP bailed on the US auto industry and Mitt Romney (in 2012) actually spoke of forcing the industry to bankruptcy. Thus, casting the US auto industry out for the highest foreign bidder.

Related Oil Industry Production GOP Vs Obama

Under Obama the US became the worlds leading oil producers. Of course, much of the success is due to Hydraulic Fracking (a deep undesirable reality), but facts are facts and we report facts.

Deficit Spending

Now for quick look at deficit spending during Obama's first term with 2014 and 2015 estimates.

I will avoid deep review of GOP social issues (minority, LGBT, single women of childbearing age, food for children, privatize Social Security and the Post Office, pay inequity,  unfair taxation, and repeal the ACA) and leave the piece here.

If you are of sound mind and not a denizen of America's top 10% income earners all that preceded should concern you. The common GOP Mantra of "Take Our Country Back,"  should e taken in true perspective.

The GOP mantra relates directly to an African-American as the nation's 44th President and the mantra is pure fodder a the party fulfills its strategy of political manipulation comparable to an out of control Johnny Appleseed.
