Trump Invites Putin

An eloquent president stumbles through an incoherent set of comments before the White House Easter Egg Roll. Yet, he didn't seem to stumble related to Russia media reports he invited Putin to the White House.

Watch a portion of his balcony address.
While Trump seems to have a problem with a reference to the White House he apparently he did a great job on his phone call to his de facto leader: "V Putin." After congratulating Putin on his electoral win (in a sham election), Trump invited the dictator to Washington DC and the White House.

Why?  My thoughts?

Trump is a money grabber with no secondary emotions. He admires one thing on Earth and that one thing is power backed by money.  Putin is reported to be worth 270 plus billion dollars. Trump is reported to be worth 10 billion (maybe). Putin will serve as President of Russia until Russian oligarchs find him of little to no utility. Conversely, Trump will serve as US President until the nation awakens to his false reality and the dangers he poses to American Democracy.  Basically, Trump will one day (hopefully sooner than later) be out of the Oval Office with unfettered opportunity to advance his quest for money and Putin is a prime conduit for Trump's greed.

In 2008, The New York Times reported Trump Jr commented about a family business treasure trove in Russia.
"In terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets," Donald Trump Jr. said at a New York real-estate conference that year. "Say, in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo, and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia."
My thought? Trump sees his future as a Putin snuggle boy.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews has an opinion on "why".
