As Trump's World Turns; "Zero" Increase For Federal Employees; Trump's Disapproval At 60%

"I have determined that for 2019, both across the board pay increases and locality pay increases will be set at zero."
Imagine an almost billionaire along with a Congress of predominant millionaires with the prospect of an anvil of a pay increase for federal workers at their whim. Now consider that same set of US politicians not long ago passed and signed a major tax cut for the nations most wealthy taxpayers while using the same legislation to sneak middle class and lower income tax hits on other Americans.

MarketWatch

Millionaires on average will get an extra $69,660 boost. Those with less than $10,000 will get an extra $10 to play with.
The percentage change also skews upward, with the best benefits accruing to the $500,000 to $1 million bracket. The $50,000-to-$75,000 bracket sees a 1.6% benefit.
Things change however once 2025 rolls around. If no change is made, what were tax cuts will become tax hikes, even relative to current law.

While the charts and the reality of Trump's "zero," remark are now folded into US History, the sad reality isn't mitigated in any manner.

And last night Trump laid another lie-egg on his audience.

I distinctly recall reading Paul Ryan's comments regarding "entitlement" programs as he defended the Trump/Ryan tax cuts.

"Zero!" for federal employees, unless the GOP Congress passes legislation to offset Trump's elitist disregard form middle America.

How did Senator Ben Cardin respond  when asked about Trump's  budget letter including the word "Zero?"

CNN
"Zero. This seems to be how much respect President Trump has for federal workers," wrote Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Maryland, in a statement. "It is outrageous and hypocritical that after spending billions of taxpayer dollars on unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations -- and as the President boasts about the 'great' state of the American economy, that suddenly the White House finds that there is zero money left to pay a minimal cost-of-living adjustment to the patriotic, dedicated public servants."
Is there any wonder a recent ABC/ Washington Post Poll shows Trump's approval rating is slipping into the darkness. Of course, Republicans nationwide support Trump at the 90% level, rational Americans continue to find the nation's 45th president a manner close to abhorrent.

Poll linked.
