As Trump's World Turns: Kavanaugh Remarks, Beer And Questions OF Judicial Fitness

Trump Praised A Farcical Senate Appearance

Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him. His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting. Democrats’ search and destroy strategy is disgraceful and this process has been a total sham and effort to delay, obstruct, and resist. The Senate must vote!
Yes, and therein lies the problem. A White House official issued a comment before Kavanaugh's opening statement and referred to it as "game-changing." While we do not recommend viewing the full 44:00 minutes of Kavanaugh's Opening remarks, we have linked it here for your perusal: linked.

A key moment in the remarks was as such:
"calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election, fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record, revenge on behalf of the Clintons, and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups."
Problem. Didn't Kavanaugh clearly declare himself a judicial activist via those few words? He issued words which do not seem to have been written by a competent and "in control of his faculties" Federal Judge. He offered a Trump-like declaration. He offered an anti-Democrats declaration. and he issues words which came across as child-like and without deep contemplation: "...the Clintons".

For the Opening remarks to an indication of what was to come.  Kavanaugh responded to Senior Committee Member Feinstein (D-CA).

A rant perspective from Michael Beschloss, NBC News US historian:

Kavanaugh rant raises questions about his political impartiality

A minute related to conservative dogma against Justice temperament. Seems the GOP's world started last week. The confirmation of Sotomayor.

While responding to a question from another Democrat Senator, Kavanaugh again showed a lack of preparation, a lack of judgment (from a Judge) and a moment of telling defensiveness.

Brett Kavanaugh likes beer, but not questions about his drinking habits

Beer... (one minute)

Bill Maher in closing ( a bit long but good)

Why is all that is Trump come across as well below the level of acceptable behavior for high office?
