GOP Hypocrisy Is Shameful




As  Republican politicians labor to politically leverage an ill-advised remark for a newly elected Democrat, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN), let's again approach the Republican scorn from a position of askance or "frowning" inquiry.

The Minnesota Congresswoman posted a Twitter comment this past Sunday: (paraphrased) "...that American political leaders’ support for Israel is “all about the Benjamins...” The Benjamins? One hundred dollar bills, for those who may not have caught the colloquialism. The implications of political support for Israel based in dollars. Anti-Semitic? Well......  Let's state inappropriate and consumed by Democrat Party leadership. The remarks were followed with an "unequivocal" apology from Omar.

The Democrat Party react to Omar as expected and in a totally appropriate manner. What about Republicans?  Well, now we place a large spread of hypocrisy on the Republican political sandwich. 

In December of 2015, Donald Trump delivered a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition.  The speech included the following three possible Anti-Semitic remarks:
  • "Stupidly, you want to give money. ...You're not going to support me because I don't want your money."
  • "I'm a negotiator, like you folks."
  • "Is there anyone in this room who doesn't negotiate deals? Probably more than any room I've ever spoken."
If the words don't drive home a point about hypocrisy, how about an MSNBC Morning Joe video segment from earlier today? The salient part of the 11-minute video is at the 1:50 mark and ends around the 4:00-minute mark. The remainder of the video is everyday chatter and probably not worth the time sent in finishing the full video.



While House leadership stripped a committee seat from the GOP's to the racist representative from Iowa, it is worthwhile to not Donald Trump never spoke on word about Steve King's over-the-top racist remarks. As for the stopping of his committee seat, King has a long history of racist remarks which surely has solidified his pale in US white supremacy.

These kids will have the right to live and work here, receive social services and when they turn 21, they will have the right to sponsor their parents for an American Green Card.

As we look across the ethnic and cultural spectrum, we wonder if Trump and his party will start to pay attention to a growing reality. The reality of well-off Russian women coding to the US to deliver babies.  



Intriguing and disappointing at the same time. Intriguing regarding the prospect some of the babies might one day follow Russian operatives in service to Moscow in undercover roles. Disappointing the GOP, conservative America, and Trump finding apparent issues with Russian women delivering babies in the US.

What differentiates South of our border people from Russians? Oh, the answer is so very simple. you answered the questions in your mind. If you didn't discern the difference you are not being honest even with yourself.

OK, so what happens when we awaken on July 6th and no Civil War has commenced.  The answer is: "Nothing".  Jones will concoct another set of lies to feed to his viewers and all will be happy with sugar plum anticipation of his next YouTube cast.

If there is one thing we have learned since the summer of 2015, it is the lack of interest in honesty from people who comprise Trump's base.

As Trump's World Turns: Fox News As A National Communications Beacon

I suspect you are a person who has little to no affinity for American conservatism. After all, you are visiting the site of a liberal opinion writer; a writer who only rarely reaches to Fox News for video and a writer who has followed the utter propagandizing of Fox News's Sean Hannity for many years. 

Hannity has admitted to more doctored video and misrepresented video on his show than anyone in the current event, business or the who serves as a top-level propagandist. Yes, he is the propagandist in chief on FOXPEN (Fox Propaganda And Entertainment Network) and he is a daily adviser to Trump.  An adviser who offers advice to a president who is without question on the wrong side of the history of humankind.  A president who is as humane as any hardcore conservative and a president who is utterly gullible regarding matters of international affairs.  While Trump is busying himself loving-up to the likes of Kim Jong Un and Putin, take a look at how Hannity is attacking the young woman in New York who defeated a ten-term Democrat party leader.  

I do not recommend viewing the full four-minute video as it could tend to leave traces of utter right-wing propaganda in your gray matter. The video is embedded for a reason. My major interest in posting the video is the background graphic Hannity used to attack Ms. Cortez.  His attacks will grow much viler as we approach the fall midterm elections, but for now, take-in the list of attack items.  You have two options. Either watch the video to the 40-second mark or skip through the clip tot he 40-second mark.  I was forced to view the first 40 seconds as a preview and frankly, I must consider a (morning) nap to cleanse my brain of 40 seconds of Hannity's propaganda.

The real contempt related to the likes of Trump and Hannity lies in the fact so many Americans actually hold them incredible adoration.  It is no surprise the two men stand as Statues of Disgust and Beacons of Regression for the GOP; they offer what any business of service-oriented organization hold most dear.
Give the customer (viewer/supporter) what they want.
Conservatives and Fox News viewers thrive on the daily social regression of Trump and his communication talking heads.

While on the topic of Fox News as a conduit for Trumpism, consider this:

Trump has announced his choice for a Communications Director to replace his former model protege` who left her post after sitting for an interview with Bob Mueller's investigators. Trump will have a former top executive at Fox News in charge of White House communications. If you think Spicer and Sarah Huckabee Sanders has offered lies and misrepresentations in support of Trump, give it awhile and watch Shine ....shine. Link...The New York Times.

Trump's affinity for guidance form Fox News is well documented.  And here is a clear example of what we elected in 2016 and how the election is ...say Making American Great Again?

Hannity Exposed?







A few years ago, Ted Koppel and Fox News' Sean Hannity sat for an interview. The interview was conducted on CBS Sunday Morning and was developed for discussion of Hannity's "brand".



While the full interview as a post would be a major waste of your viewing time, I do feel it necessary to post a version of the interview which runs slightly over two minutes. Linked here.

"....do you think I am bad for America?"

During a hearing regarding the seizure of items from Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, the world received a revelation which really shouldn't have surprised anyone. Cohen petitioned the New State Court to force an opportunity to review items taken from Cohen during the search and seizure of his home apartment and cell phone and he requested the review prior to FBI review of the items. Cohen and his personal lawyer filed the court case; it ended without complete and final resolution of the matter, but Cohen did not receive the requested full review. The Cohen legal team and the trump "fixer" did not win the right to take the items for review prior to federal scrutiny and review.

Alas, the legal setback for Cohen and team wasn't the most headline garnering item from the court appearance. While I am certain you already know when asked by the judge about his law practice, Cohen fest-up to a three client portfolio which includes Fox News number one Democrat (and liberal) hating demagogue: Sean Hannity, it is absolutely critical we understand the full measure of the revelation and how it came about.

Last night's The Rachel Maddow Show "A" Block segment was a long view, but as is frequently the case the runtime includes details critical for broadcast delivery of the segment. I often recommend skipping through long segments while extracting or viewing that which the reader finds most interesting. I strongly recommend a full viewing of the Maddow "A" Block.
    


Hannity long ago assumed the role of protector and rationalizer of all things conservative. His year of anti-Obama rhetoric along with Bill O'Reilly helped to move Fox News to the Number One cable news (and I used that word very lightly) network in America. Hannity's numerous on camera correction of misleading information (in some cases misleading edited video) proved to be nothing more than far-right misinformation and lies, never once registered with Hannity's, and Fox News viewers. After all his viewers recognize Hannity as an undereducated non-news far-right entertainer as stated in the Koppel interview.

Hannity is far more than a far-right demagogue; he is a key member of the Trump and GOP propaganda pool. Not only has Hannity joined Trump at the Mar-A-Lago resort, Trump has a history of carnival barking on behalf of the Fox News host. 



It seems Hannity is much intimate in the  Trump reality than it appears via Fox News.  Yesterday's revelation pales the Fox News host as integral to Trump communications machine than anyone Trump employs in the White House. Hannity has a business relationship with Trump's "fixer."  Is there any wonder Hannity since the Cohen seizure has spoken so directly and frequently about the raid?



While Fox News and its owner have a role in GOP politics, it isn't a far stretched to think in term of why Fox is allowed to broadcast under the umbrella of FCC guidelines regarding News coverage?

Actually shouldn't Fox terminate its relationship with Hannity?  Hannity is in fact, bad for America.

Four Star Kelly Responds With Thoughts Of A Civil War Compromise

Regardless of your social or political ilk, you have to recognize protest about remaining statues of Civil War Era Confederate Generals is all about taking down the US the major shame of vestiges of a US past which seems to be resurfacing.

The ongoing fervor (take the statues down or leave them stand), has come to the forefront of a national racial and social divide. Over the past few years the divide has become something of a social tsunami as whit supremacist have taken-up the brandishing the flag as a symbol of defiance to a racially divers nation.  On the other side of the fervor are African-Americana entities and protester who recognize symbols of the US confederacy for what it was: a movement to preserve and defend white supremacy.  You need go no farther than the Confederate battle field flag which became the post Civil War shield of defiance and racial purity.

The "Confederate Flag" as it is colloquially referred to, was the flag used in battle by the Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War. ... The flag's look changed over time, as did its meaning.
If we take the WIKI definition to its next logical point, the genesis of the flag, we find reason for movements to take down the statues and removal of the flag.

Some Americans simply do not find the proliferation of white supremacy, its adopting Confederate statues and the Confederate Flag as acceptable. Especially, with consideration of total evil which is associated with the flag and statues; of which we are seeing brandishing of the Nazi Third Reich flag by some white supremacists.

I ask, why would Trump's Chief of Staff facilitate Fox News's continued support from the US Confederacy? Is it possible millions of Americans Fox News also support white supremacy and Nazism for a perspective of "all good?"

The Statues




As we lived through a day when the largest presidential scandal in US history continues to unfold it is noteworthy to find Trump's dispatched stooge (Four-star Kelly) sitting on Fox News answering questions produced to deflect from The Day of The Indictments.  

Apparently, Kelly was asked about the Civil war via a questions about removal of Confederate statues.  He immediately opened with a diatribe about the virtues of Robert E. Lee (a distinguished Southerner prior to the Civil War.   



It doesn't take much to know Fox News. The network fulfills its role in support all things GOP in a most effective manner. Thus, the network also performs its share of anti-tolerance of anything nonwhite.  We also know Kelly didn't simply sit and allow even a softball Fox News interview fire question at him without a pre-screened questions (and probably approval to ask certain questions).   He and his boss knew the questions regarding Robert E. Lee was coming. Kelly's choice of answered while accurate as to Lee's reputation as an army officer, we also lead with support for white supremacy.  If that reads in a harsh manner, you only have to considered the flag posted above.

Kelly also touched to that well-known conservative social Nirvana of "states rights."  A sure indication of support for the most regressive of conservative political policy and practice.  

The coup de grace was Kelly's idiotic comments regarding compromise.  Compromise?  How could anyone in the Abraham Lincoln Administration find compromise with regard to human ownership and its associated human bondage (human beings as chattel)? What we the North and South discussed sanctioning  specific number of slaves via owner choice of some weird human bondage lottery?  


Fox News's newest show host, Laura Ingraham, started her time at Fox News  (The Ingraham Angle show,) promulgating propaganda. Kelly was a conduit to an end, appease white nationalist and white supremacist while deflecting for the days events.  If you missed it above, know Ingraham bundled her racist quest with a question which included George Washington and a church in Virginia.

There is simply something very wrong with Fox News's use of slavery as a tool to advance their brand of conservative propaganda.  Above and beyond common Fox News's business model, high ranking White House staff are well beyond decency and normalcy to expose any end to slavery in any manner shy of forced cessation.

Trump's War Against Real News (VIDEO)



When the popular vote means nothing in the General election, we finish the voting process with a White House littered with nation killing rubbish.




And that rubbish includes attacks against US media and US press; a dangerous and ugly reminder of times which span modern international history.


Cable news has a place in society.

It informs, it an enlightens and it an and does offer enough psyche draining coverage (on camera coverage) to serve as a psychic drain on us all.  The news providers certainly fall well shy of far-Right AM radio, the less flaming far-right FM radio and cable news falls well shy of comparison to the likes of YouTube demagogue Alex Jones's Info Wars. even the GOP's cable news giant (dwindling giant) Fox News offers scant pockets of non-far right broadcast generally staffed by actual TV journalist Vs information purveyors focused on right-wing propaganda (e.g, Hannity, Fox & Friends, Tucker Carlson). 

Despite the role of working to offer credible news, we all too often find ourselves viewing networks like CNN which offers so very much viewing segments. One such segment ran a couple of days ago on CNN. New Day host Chris Cuomo sat for an on-camera interview with Trump's number two"presstitute" standing with the White House as a backdrop. Kelly Anne Conway is well known by all informed Americans as the first spoke purveyor of the nascent phrase: "Alternative Facts."  Of course, we know the highly compensated talking head coined the phrase (or possibly delivered the coined phrase) to cover her bosses and the 45th US President's pathological lying.

"Alternative facts" is a phrase used by U.S. Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway during a Meet the Press interview on January 22, 2017, in which she defended White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's false statement about the attendance numbers of Donald Trump's inauguration as President of the United States. When pressed during the interview with Chuck Todd to explain why Spicer "utter[ed] a provable falsehood", Conway stated that Spicer was giving "alternative facts". Todd responded, "Look, alternative facts are not facts. They're falsehoods."[1]


Within days Trump's Conway appeared on NBC News and introduced the phrase to cover the inauguration day lies sent to the White House Press Room podium via the ill-fated and now unemployed Sean Spicer.
Yet, CNN continues to offer air-time to Conway despite full-knowledge she willing lies with each appearance on the news shows. Her job is to spew such lies and she executes her job with a degree of mastery unfounded in most White House spokespersons. Why should expose the nation to Trump's "lie specialists?"
 

Cuomo and other CNN host and producers should actually avoid booking Conway on their shows. CNN accomplished nothing via this interview. Conway Gish Gallloped the CNN Host; and did so effectively. She did so without making a point. She did so via running the segment out of satellite minutes. A common GOP talking head strategy



Conway is the perfect "presstitute" for a US President who's first cognitive response to response stimuli is to tell a lie.

A recent social media report also reports on one case of a Fox New show guest flat out stropping and correcting lies from an aforementioned network propagandist. Watch as Nevada's Attorney General corrects and redirects Carlson mission-driven right-wing apologist hosting.




Attorney General Laxalt probably induced major tsunami butt-puckers from Carlson and his production team.

Yet, I digress. Let's get back to the mind-shaping acts from the White House and its obviously misplaced chief resident. 

As Trump's nascent number; one presstitute, Sara Huckabee Sanders, went about spewing the latest version of daily lies from Trump and his communications team, one journalist challenged her bosses use of "fake news."




Trump and his communications team are the true purveyors of "fake news". Of course, Fox News is a willing and competence challenger for the "fake news' distinction.

We assert Trump not only repeatedly shows he doesn't have what it takes to serve as an effective US President, you should also recognize he has tendencies which rival the anti-press mindset of the common dictator regarding the free and open press and media.
