The Daily GOP Ignominious: Trump, Surrogates, Fox News Polls Memo, Trump Debate Lies

Trump's daughter has a way of showing her reaction to the Trump Monday Night fizzle-down.

_________________________

Time is short today so we offer a quick run through a few issues left lingering from the Monday night fizzle-down of Donald Trump.

We will start with a reminder of Trump's philosophy of taxes and advancing himself via the money of others.

"Other people's money"

Let's undertake a completely biased view of the first presidential debate Our admitted bias is important due to the reality of a post in which we report on the sadness and ridiculousness of one Donald J. Trump and his highly compensate surrogates.

We commence with Trump's over-the-top chauvinist act of interrupting his opponent (a woman of high stature who deserves campaign respect) over 50 times during the 90 minute debate. Watch the following Ezra Klein Vox video .

How about a couple of You Tube posts?

https://youtu.be/WDKBBA_nwqc

Published on Sep 26, 2016CBS News political contributor Bob Schieffer grilled Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, a Donald Trump surrogate, on her use of anecdotal evidence as proof of Americans' opinions. Rutledge joined CBSN's political panel ahead of the first presidential debate in Hempstead, N.Y.

Published on Sep 26, 2016

Donald Trump campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson joins the CBSN debate set to break down the Republican presidential nominee's performance. Pierson takes questions on Trump's comments on race during the debate.
Sean Hannity offers Pied Piper support for Trump.

Sean Hannity is hardly the beacon of cable news integrity.  If I recall Hannity has issues more I was caught posting fake and edited video on his show than all other Fox News shows combined.  If I recall, Hannity for weeks prior to the 2012 election posted a survey on his web page with exhortation to vote for the type of revolution to come if Obama won again. One possible response was armed revolution. After a tsunami of complaints and progressive news probing Hannity quietly removed the survey. Sean Hannity isn't the name a competent candidate for president should want near his campaign.

Take a moment and contemplate the following from a noted republican who proved years go he is totally unhinged.

You may have heard Trump and his close cabal yelp about Trump winning the Monday night debate based on a set of polls. We ask that you pay attention to the fact the set of polls quoted by the Trump circus are for the most part online polls. What is the relevance of such polls? In some cases it is easy to take the poll with multiple visits. It is possible to sit and repeatedly hit favorable keys, refresh the page and hit the keys again.  There is no way of ensuring poll credibility related to its "so-called" respondents.

Apparently, the person running Fox News (after the departure of Roger Ailes) has a much different paradigm relative to veracity in reporting. It seems someone in network manager has memo'd their show producers and hosts with caution about spewing results from online polls.
Media Matters

As I started this post, I recall stating the piece would be developed with total liberal bias. Herewith is an example of the veracity of my statement embodied in a piece regarding Trumps numerous lies during Monday night's debate, Of course, we know Clinton also lied.

Snopes recently evaluated a claim of Trump lying about his (in the face of 80 million viewers) that he did not say he was "smart" for not paying taxes. We know the truth, but since I mentioned Snopes, here you go: linked here.

Allen West Typical GOP

Fundraiser/Political Strategy
As the US House prepares for John Boehner's "tea party" fundraiser (Select) Benghazi Committee, the committee members have been announced.

Boehner's "fundraisers"

Pelosi's "Guardian Monitors"

And the circus begins. The NRCC has already commenced raising money form the hearings, despite actual hearings as weeks and maybe months away. Remember, Boehners "rangers" are in no rush as fundraising and political leverage for 2014 mid-terms and 2016 general elections are the ultimate mission.

While NRCC fundraising off the deaths of heroic Americans is as despicable as it gets. Yet, another noted Tea Party demagogue has attacked a member of the Democrat committee members.

As a matter of introduction, let's meet the combatants attacked and the attacker.
American War HeroLadda Tammy Duckworth
Tammy Duckworth
Tammy Duckworth, official portrait, 113th Congress.jpg
Member of the U.S. House of Representatives
from Illinois's 8th district
Incumbent
Assumed office
January 3, 2013
An Iraq War veteran, Duckworth served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and suffered severe combat wounds, losing both of her legs and damaging her right arm. She was the first female double amputee from the war.[1] Having received a medical waiver, she continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard along with her husband, Major Bryan W. Bowlsbey, a signal officer and fellow Iraq War veteran.

American anti-hero: Allen West resigned military commission to avoid court martial and possible imprisonment: torture of an Iraq war detainee.

The Nation
West resigned from the military in 2004, following an incident involving his unit’s treatment of an Iraqi man. West himself was charged with two violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including one against assault, and agreed to retire after an Article 15 hearing in order to avoid a court martial.
Read more after break below
According to a 2004 account in The New York Times, West let the soldiers under his command beat the Iraqi man, whom West believed was involved in an attempt on his life. (No evidence was ever found implicating the man). Then, he staged a mock execution:
Soon, the soldiers began striking and shoving Mr. Hamoodi. They were not instructed to do so by Colonel West but they were not stopped, either, they said. ‘I didn’t know it was wrong to hit a detainee,” a 20-year-old soldier from Daytona Beach said at the hearing. Colonel West testified that he would have stopped the beating ”had it become too excessive.”
Eventually, the colonel and his soldiers moved Mr. Hamoodi outside, and threatened him with death. Colonel West said he fired a warning shot in the air and began counting down from five. He asked his soldiers to put Mr. Hamoodi’s head in a sand-filled barrel usually used for clearing weapons. At the end of his count, Colonel West fired a shot into the barrel, angling his gun away from the Iraqi’s head, he testified.

A bit more ......Rep. Allen West says 'about 78 to 81' House Democrats in Communist Party

I know of Allen West, you know of Allen West, the GOP knows of Allen West, and those who made the big mistake of electing West to the US Congress in 2010 felt they had grown to know West.

Allen West is nothing shy of a gutter dwelling mouthpiece who will say anything for attention. In fact, I suspect West has ambitions to re-enter US politics via convincing the majority of voters in some district someplace to elect him. It should be noted he won his 2010 seat via an election that turned the US House over to tea party politicians who cling to the Koch bothers like scrap metal against a giant magnet. They infested and sat through a congress that led to the lowest congressional approval ratings in US history and a number of the more whacked-out representatives (West and Joe Walsh) lost their seats via awaken and back-tracking constituents.

West has commented in a most disrespectful manner. The Tea party mouth-piece attacked War Hero Tammy Duckworth.  If you prefer a short version of West's comments:

Right Wing Watch
“Tammy Duckworth, you know I just don’t know where her loyalties lie, for her to have been a veteran and a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing and hopefully she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat [sic] party,” Allen West.

The following Crooks & Liars piece places West in perspective and reminds of a mind gone bad.

Allen West Doubts 'Legless' Tammy Duckworth's 'Loyalty' To America (via http://crooksandliars.com)
By John Amato May 22, 2014 11:33 am - Comments This isn't the first time she's been attacked for her military service by Tea Party Republicans. We all remember what Republicans and Saxby Chambliss did to former Senator Max Cleland, a disabled war hero…

Rasmussen Surfaces Again With Equally Unreliable Survey Reports

Rasmussen Reports Alumni!

More Americans View Blacks As Racist Than Whites, Hispanics

Quite a headline isn't it?  Before we go farther allow me to reveal the source: Rasmussen Reports. Alas, the polling equivalent to Fox News.

Just after the 2012 General Elections the very credible Fordham University Center for Electoral Politics and Democracy, published results of an analysis of the best and worst political polling authorities.  View the list here.  If you chose not to visit the linked page, know that Rasmussen came-in among the bottom quarter of the 28 polling authorities.

It is important to note, Rasmussen polled Mitt Romney winning the 2012 General Election from  campaign start to November 6, 2012.  We know the outcome of that polling.

After establishing Rasmussen as a non-credible and a virtual tool of conservative propaganda, it might be worthwhile to take a peep at the July 1 - 2 "Racism" survey call document.

Questions - Racism - July 1-2, 2013

National Survey of 1,000 Adults
Conducted July 1-2, 2013
By Rasmussen Reports

1* Are most white Americans racist?
2* Are most black Americans racist?
3* Are most Hispanic Americans racist?
4* Have you ever been accused of being a racist?
5* Does the term racism refer to any discrimination by people of one race against another or does racism refer only to discrimination by white people against minorities?
6* How would you rate race relations in America today - excellent, good, fair or poor?
7* Are race relations in America today getting better or worse?
8* Is it possible for people of different races in America to have an open and honest discussion about racial issues?
9* In political terms, do you consider yourself very conservative, somewhat conservative, moderate, somewhat liberal, or very liberal?

NOTE: Margin of Sampling Error, +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence
The survey of 1,000 Adults was conducted on July 1-2, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
We are going to run with selected excerpts from the Rasmussen survey for points of reference. You may spend time reading the survey results, if you so chose. Personally, I try to spend valuable time reading information that has some degree of credibility.  Rasmussen does not make my reading list.  I have linked the Rasmussen piece, here.

Excerpts

a.) Thirty-seven percent (37%) of American Adults think most black Americans are racist, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Just 15% consider most white Americans racist, while 18% say the same of most Hispanic Americans.

b.) From a partisan perspective, 49% of Republicans see most black Americans as racist, along with 36% of unaffiliated adults and 29% of Democrats.

c.) Among black Americans, 31% think most blacks are racist, while 24% consider most whites racist and 15% view most Hispanics that way.
d.)  Among white adults, 10% think most white Americans are racist; 38% believe most blacks are racist, and 17% say most Hispanics are racist.
Items b.) and c.) above are prime examples of the level of ridiculous in Rasmussen survey results. The only fathomable way that a higher number of black respond "black people more racist" than white people (the essence of the Rasmussen headline above) would be for Rasmussen to have taped into a survey pool of the 6% of African-Americans who, for some equally unfathomable reason, subscribe to the GOP (as alleged conservatives). You have seen them sitting with (of all people) Sean Hannity slamming the black community and the Democratic Party.  You have heard them: Allen West, Herman Cain, Allen Keyes, Ben Carson, Boyce Watkins, et al.

Talking Points Memo addressed the Rasmussen survey.
49 percent of Republicans believe “most black Americans (are) racist,” according to Rasmussen.

Quick Hit: GOP Out Reach? SERIOUSLY?

I have borrowed a set of images from Think Progress. The images show clear examples of one conservative group's efforts to white wash a mailer related to voting laws.

The mailer apparently is allegedly connected to the Colorado’s Secretary of State, Scott Gessler's (R) office.

Mario Piperni Does Allen West

Cross posted from MarioPiperniDotCom

Allan West Finally Gives It Up

Allen West - http://mariopiperni.com/
The guy who once said to Democratic leaders…
Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.
…is now history. After dragging out his election loss for two weeks, West finally came to grips with reality…sort of. This is what he wrote on his Facebook page yesterday.
While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election.
I’m not sure what made me happier on election night – President Obama’s win or Allen West’s loss. It might very well have been the latter. If there was one Republican who embodied the complete tea-bagging, partisan, obstructionist, narrow-minded idiocy of the last two years, it was West.
And so, to the man who once said that he believed that 78 to 81 members of Democrats in Congress were members of the Communist Party, here is my own little farewell message to Mr. West.
Take your message of ignorance and hate, take your message of economic favoritism for the wealthy, take your message of enslaving the middle class somewhere else. You can take it to Fox, you can take it to talk radio, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, but get the hell out of Congress.

Romney Campaign Black Leadership Council, Really?

Would someone hang a sign on this that reads, "Nobody Home"!

As a matter of introduction the following is a perfect example of GOP and Romney Campaign low life strategies.

TPMLIVEWIRE

Romney Camp Announces BlackLeadership Council

Mitt Romney's campaign on Wednesday announced its Black Leadership Council, chaired by Reps. Tim Scott and Allen West. The council will "help facilitate dialogue between Mitt Romney and respected leaders who provide unique expertise, experience and knowledge on a range of issues impacting black American communities," according to the campaign.

The third chair will be Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll, who is — get this — a blackwoman. Who knew?

Excerpt
“Barack Obama spoke to the best in us when he ran for president in 2008,” said Congressman Allen West. “Today, he’s running a negative campaign that says nothing about how we will end this economic downturn and put our country back on the path to prosperity. In Mitt Romney, we have a proven leader who will not speak to America with empty platitudes and soaring rhetoric, but will restore the exceptionalism of our Republic and secure the American dream for future generations. President Obama has been, and will continue to be, a disappointment. We are truly not better off as a country than we were four years ago. This election is not just about changing Presidents. This is a moral decision speaking to our greater Angels and the blessings of liberty and freedom we pass onto our children and grandchildren.”

West mentioned "negative" campaigning?

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Allen West ninnyhammer!

"Social Security is a form of "slavery'.
according to West
Allen West represents what district the Great State of Florida?  Is he the best that the electorate from that district can send to Washington DC?

The more West speaks the more one realizes, just how far down the path to insanity has the GOP traveled.  After his isane accusations that 81 members of the US House were communist, he has further dissolved into a talking-head who is functioning without the benefit of a brain.   "Communist"?

Of late he is consumend and fixated on "Slavery".

I have written on numerous occasion, since 2009, "...why the GOP affinity and incessant statements that related to slavery".  Michelle Bachmann was the 'queen' of slavery orator during the run-up to the nomination (and before she quickly found out no on in the GOP had any interest in her as a presidential candidate). Bachmann actually sated that the institution of human bondage (human ownership)  was preferable to modern day African-American familes because the father was always in the home.  The fool, did not even stop to think about how enslaved mothers and fathers often had no control over their children beign sold. Factually, they had not control over being separated via the auction block themselves. But, then that w Bachmann; no surprise to the informed.
West has forayed into the 'triangle trade' as some have attempted to rename slavery, twice within the past week.  First, he indicated tha President Obama has (my words) enslaved the nation.  Now, his second 'salvo of the insane', posted above.
West has serious mental issues.  He must have felt some degree of success with his "Obama enslaves" comments, so he doubles down with even more insanity. I noticed while channel surfing last night he appeared on the Huckabee show. No surprise there for Huckabee as intimated an affinity for colonialism across the globe (in particular in Africa).  West's appearance on a show with the likes of Huckabee is but another example of why West feels compelled to reach to such levels of disgust.
Rience Prebus has indicated he , "..is not the police of the party". Well, Prebus, you are in fact the leader of the RNC. You should have some influence on the inane, insane and at times criminal comments from your more challenged representatives; West is the worst.

The Daily GOP Ignominious

Allen West (R) Florida, has joined others in the GOP in using what he may have thought was a private (no cameras) venue to practice "GOP" speak.  Of course, most members of the GOP would not dare speak as he spoke (about communist in the US Congress), but you have to recognize the extent to which conservatives manipulate their supporters with "FEAR".  I call it FEAR politics.  If you need another example think in terms of Fox News.

It does  not matter to the politician that the Cold War evaporated many years ago with a solid victory for countries allied against communist bloc nations.   When speaking before certain audiences, the 'communist' freight still works. Let me frankly state, I do not believe for one second his entire audience bought into his oral diarrhea.

Audio is not enhanced

In the following video, he defends his comments. Now, take a close look at his face as he is receiving a question about his past comments. There seems to be signs of resignation he spoke inappropriately, but he dare not say such. Also notice he has had time to take his 'campaign contributions comments', to another realm. He chose typical GOP mantra as his safe ground.

In hindsight, two things stand out. I am not certain any GOP leader spoke out about the inappropriateness of this remarks. Second, he actually used his initial remarks for purpose of fundraising as he indicated on his web page he was under attack from the LEFT, SEND MONEY.

Allen West (R) Fla. ...Sarah Palin's choice of US VP!

Huffington Post is reporting.... (This man is insane)

Allen West: I've 'Heard' 80 House Democrats Are Communist Party Members (UPDATE)

WASHINGTON -- As many as 80 House Democrats are communists, according to Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.).
West warned constituents at a Tuesday town hall event that he's "heard" that dozens of his Democratic colleagues in the House are members of the Communist Party, thePalm Beach Post reported. There are currently 190 House Democrats.
West spokeswoman Angela Melvin later defended West's comments -- and clarified to whom West was referring.
"The Congressman was referring to the 76 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. The Communist Party has publicly referred to the Progressive Caucus as its allies. The Progressive Caucus speaks for itself. These individuals certainly aren't proponents of free markets or individual economic freedom," Melvin said in a statement to The Huffington Post.
