American Racism Growing and Sreading

As hate exist how about the reports of the cancellation of Laura Ingraham's radio show due to advertiser boycotts. The Daily Kos published about the cancellation; linked, here. Ingraham has long espoused views which verged on what seemed to be white nationalism. After joining Fox News, a case can be made her vitriol became exponential. While the American public spoke as boycotts of her radio show advertisers seems to have lead to enough is enough

If reading this piece to this point hasn't upset your psyche regarding growing hate in the United States, The Raw Story offers the penultimate case. Black family attacked while exiting a Wal Mart parking lot resulting in the wounding of the driver and the death of her 7-year-old daughter.

Do you ever wonder why Fox News and other conservative media avoid such reports? Of course, if Right-wing media is your viewing and listening preference, reports of overt racism simply doesn't appeal to you.

"Shithole Countries" Part IV: Mia Love Admits Trump's Remarks Were Racist

It took a few days, but the Utah Representative finally succumbed to the reality Trump's Africa, El Salvador and Haiti comments were racist (and from the mouth of a racist).

Have you heard anything for Mitch McConnell?

Watch and listen to Paul Ryan, House Speaker and third in ascendancy to the US Presidency, fold up like a guilty child a, lower his head away from the cameras and struggle through comments about Trump's racist remarks. Ryan is a full grown man, elected officials paid over $225,000 via tax dollars and he has children.

The GOP is a shameful embarrassment to the United States.

Rep. Mia Love Hesitantly Admits Trump's Africa 'Sh*thole' Slur Is 'Racist'

Republican Rep. Mia Love of Utah on Sunday accused Donald Trump of making "racist" remarks about Haiti and African countries. In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Love sidestepped the fact that Republican lawmakers had yet to forcefully condemn Trump for reportedly saying that African countries were a "shithole" and immigrants from Haiti did not deserve…

America The Beautiful (UPDATE)

That growing national threat.

UPDATE: We published the following piece a few days ago. While tooling around on Twitter this morning I ran across yet another reminder of Racism's growing grip on the US (and internationally).

If you have read this far into this piece, you may by now wonder why I chose the to title the piece as I have. The sad truth is when we post pieces with the words "race", "white supremacy", "African-American" or "Latino" in the title, the piece receives reads to a far lesser degree. While the fewer readers dynamic isn't; racist by any means, it is hard to avoid the conclusion many potential readers do not care about issues of race, ethnicity, and frankly, have a lesser concern about white supremacy.

Alas, I digress.

How about a look and listen to the killer of the type white men above? As you consider the human garbage who speaks English and carries a history of white supremacy, think in terms of the word "deplorables."

Many new sources have published pieces regarding growing US white supremacy. While the list of publishers and agencies is long, I have linked to two pieces which read as detailed as one needs to understand the growing danger. Link I, Link II

Did you know the US has a new national museum in Washington DC? The African-American Museum opened a few years ago and reports have the museum attendance at the museum is brisk. You have to know such an opportunity to lay filth on yet another national museum was too irresistible for an American rascist to resist.
Do you know anyone who loves the sport of Basketball? Professional basketball or college basketball; it really doesn't matter. Yes, many love the sport and an equal number have strong preferences for their NBA heroes. The last I check LeBron James was one of the top performers in the NBA and one of the most revered (and loved) among its predominantly black team players.

Well, it seems someone int he Los Angeles area felt compelled to show the extent to which US racism manifests and proliferates.

Another day, another exhibition of American Racism.
Desert Vista High School seniors

This photo, taken by a student and widely available on social media on Friday, shows Desert Vista High School seniors after class photo day. KJZZ has obscured the faces of the students.

Well, let's show white privilege for what it is worth and with full disclosure. We have un-"obscured" the faces and added the names of what amounts to the embodiment of American racism; in a state well noted for its anti-Civil Rights aura.

Oh, I can hear it now. "They are young, they are joshing around, they aren't racists." Of course, not; they are the overt manifestation of white privilege and the obvious offspring of parents who probably raised them with complete indifference to tolerance of people of color; in some cases possibly raised by parents who practice open bigotry and racism.
Now for more detail from the source that first draw my attention to the exhibition.

Phoenix Students Spell Out Racial Slur On T-Shirts, Leading To Social Media Outrage

By  Will Stone

(Photo via Twitter)
This photo, taken by a student and widely available on social media on Friday, shows Desert Vista High School seniors after class photo day. KJZZ has obscured the faces of the students.
A photo of Ahwatukee high school seniors spelling out a racial slur on T-shirts has triggered outrage across social media.
Every year, the more than 700 seniors at Desert Vista High School participate in a panoramic class photo shoot. Students sport shirts with letters spelling out various phrases, all pre-approved by the school. But this year that tradition took a bad turn.
After the class photo — and unbeknownst to administrators — half a dozen female students gathered in a corner and with smiles, lined up next to each other to spell out a racial slur, commonly referred to as the “N-word.” The middle two letters of the word are asterisks, instead of gs.
The picture quickly went viral on Twitter, with some calling for the students to be suspended or expelled. Many users also called for names and details about the students.
“I cannot stress enough how upset and absolutely outraged the principal is, the administration is at Desert Vista," said Jill Hanks, a spokesperson for Tempe Union High School District, which runs Desert Vista.
Of course, you know what is next.  "I'm not racist!"
Sc the second from the left exhibitionist decided to respond to criticism via "proof" she has black friends; thus not a racist.  What does she do? She appears to have reached back to what seems a grade school picture as a tool (proof).  The "N" word image shows a much taller and more mature exhibitionist than the very obvious pre-pubic offender.
Another "What's next" item is, as predicted, "they are just kids.
Herewith is a typical dismissive response, and it is from an African-American.
......these are just kids, I don't care about their year book. in fact, let them have the photo. As an adult, people-matters are far more interesting than school yard politics. Take the presidential nomination, for example. Who will lead public policy for the next 4 years? Who will you elect? Doesn't that sound more interesting than a high school argument about racial language?
"..as an adult, people matters are far more interesting than schoolyard politics." If the young African-American commenter wasn't so accepting of public use of the "N": word VAI WHITEs, he would think more carefully and intelligently about his comments. He states "kids" with anticipation of more relevancy regarding adults (and the coming elections). If such behavior isn't checked and placed in a box of close scrutiny and scorn, said behavior repeats and proliferates and supports levels of such exhibition that have increased exponentially since President Obama took office in 2009.  The young rationalizer fails to move his acceptance of the "language" and inherent harm the language does to people who are easily influenced, the very young and the level of offense to those who lived the word "Nigger": during a time when it carried additional potential baggage: lynching, land grabs, rapes and Jim Crow. Possibly the young rationalizer has grown to buy the hype of a musical genre (Hip HOP and Rap) that has so promulgated the use of indecent language the "N" word has become part of his paradigm.  The scenario beckons a question. "What happens if the young rationalizer stands face to face with one fo the six young racist or all of the six and the word "nigger" is level to his sense of hearing and into his brain?" I doubt he would lecture the students in the merits of voting in the fall (Of course, the kids are too young to vote).
The young who grow unfettered or unchallenged for use of such an exhibition run the real risk of growing into what follows.  It is a very familiar exhibition based on the reality of a guy headed to work, stopping at Family dollar to purchase a toothbrush, and the noise of his truck (as he started it) must have frightened the women's unattended kids.  Notice the free and open use of the word "Nigger", and the reality her children while developing similarly.
A day later and after a visit from local police with word the truck driver could press charges, the woman went here.
In the video, the woman tells the man that her husband is on his way to confront him, and upon realizing that the conversation is being recorded on camera, she taunts that the video wouldn’t get her in any legal trouble, quoted as saying:
“He knows the cops? How many cops have I stripped for?”
The same day the video was uploaded, Redditor crunchy_noodles submitted the video to the /r/videos[2] subreddit, where comments were disabled shortly after Redditors began posting the woman’s personally identifiable information, but not before they identified her as Janelle Ambrosia and uncovered her Facebook account. In less than 48 hours, the video gained over 4.2 million views.
Notable DevelopmentsIn the following days, the video was highlighted by several news sites including The Daily Mail,[7] The Daily Dot[8] and The Huffington Post.[9] On June 4th, a Facebook page[13] titled “Janelle Ambrosia is racist” was created, gaining over 14,000 likes in less than 48 hours.
Radio Interview with the Woman
On June 4th, Buffalo, New York radio station WBLK[3] uploaded a video to their YouTube channel[4] featuring a phone interview they had conducted with the women from the video, who identified herself as Janelle Ambrosia. The interview was arranged after she contacted the station with a desire to share “her side of the story.” During the interview Ambrosia alleges the man videotaping the incident had almost hit her son with his car and had called her a “Crackheaded cracker.” She went on to say that her ex was trying to use the video as means to gain custody of their children, and insisted several times that she is not a racist.

In less than 48 hours the video gained over 500,000 views, and was been featured on several websites including Gawker[5] and Mediate.[6]
Radio Interview with the Driver
On the next day, the station uploaded a video of an on air interview with the man behind the camera, Narvell Benning, which had aired the previous night during a show called Brian’s World. During the interview Benning refutes Ambrosia’s claims he had called her names, and claimed he had only scared her children by starting his car, but did not nearly hit them. He also expressed disappointment that her children had witnessed her tirade.
No, dismissing the racist students off as kids is not a viable option.
As an after thought, it is worth noting the students live in a state in which the acceptance of national holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. was only enacted to accommodate securing the Super Bowl.  It was the last state to sign-on in recognition of a national Civil right leader.
Yet, we are finding exhibitions (in various forms) of heinous racism in every state of the union.

Irving Texas Kid Arrested For Presenting His Digital Clock! Yes, He is Not A White Kid

Would you like to know the back story? The story is pure American racism and paranoia at its worst. It is exemplifies why our nation is falling behind other industrialized nations regarding ingenuity and techno advancement.  Notice the kid was wearing a NASA Tee-shirt.

I would be seriously remiss if I did not also frankly state what you are about to read is pure American bigotry.

The black story....

Jon S. Randal

Jon S. Randal's photo.

A 14-year-old boy proudly brings a digital clock to school to show to his teacher, and he is suspended and arrested, accused of being a terrorist - because his skin is brown, because his faith is different, because his name is Ahmed.
He loves building things, and he just wanted to show his engineering teacher one of his inventions, a digital alarm clock. Any other youth probably would have received praise, but this was a school in Texas and the boy's name was Ahmed Mohamed.
Mohamed, wearing his NASA t-shirt, was called out of class and brought into a room with four police officers, one of whom said, "Yup. That's who I thought it was."
Looking confused and upset, he would be led out of his school in handcuffs. The police claimed he was not "forthcoming" by going beyond the description that what he made was a clock. The officers tried to get him to say that he made a bomb. Ahmed, A middle school robotics club member, who has won awards for his inventions. would repeat that that's all it was - a clock.
The news story has now become viral, with most people showing outrage. The police would later release Ahmed to his parents and admit "There’s no evidence to support the perception he intended to create alarm,” which is what Ahmed said all along.
"I think this wouldn't even be a question if his name wasn't Ahmed Mohamed," said Alia Salem of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "He is an excited kid who is very bright and wants to share it with his teachers."
Ahmed has now received support from President Obama, from Hillary Clinton, and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, who stated, "Having the skill and ambition to build something cool should lead to applause, not arrest."
Ahmed has never been in trouble before, his father said, "people just think Muslims are terrorists but we are peaceful, we are not that way."
"He just wants to invent good things for mankind," Ahmed's father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, said.

American Racism: ‘We do not need another black president’

I am even reading supposed friends who are taking exception to the slap on the wrist of the Duck Dynasty bigot and his remarks homophobic remarks.

Yes, "Freedom of Speech", say what you want no matter the impact on others, "Freedom of Speech"  Isn't it amazing how white people find so much sanctuary in our society!

If Robertson's remark were OK, then this racists remarks are just American peachy.

“Niggers in the White House” is a poem that was published in newspapers in the United States between 1901 and 1903. The poem was written in reaction to a White House dinner hosted by President Theodore Roosevelt, who had invited Booker T. Washington, an dark as spades coon, as a guest. The poem reappeared in 1929 after First Lady Lou Hoover, wife of President Herbert Hoover, invited the sheboon of nigger congresscoon, Oscar DePriest, to a tea for congressmen’s wives at the White House.
Both visits triggered widespread condemnation by many throughout the United States, and particularly throughout the South. Elected representatives in Congress and state legislatures from southern states voiced objections to the presence of niggers as guests of the First Family. Things have really changed for the worse since then.

Quick Hit: Racist At The Tennis Championship! (Racist Email)

There are times when people want to question or challenge assertions of bias, and discrimination regarding employment.

If you are a minority, regardless on ethnicity or nationality, you have been discriminated against, and there is a strong prospect you will face it again. If you are a woman, rest assured you have been discriminated against, especially in the workplace.

We posted a piece this week about the disgusting racism that manifest as Tweets when Miss New York, (East Indian ancestry born in Syracuse, NY.) won the 2014 Miss America Contest. Well, despite one's thoughts about the 'beefcake" nature of the contest, it is an established annual event. While African-American women have won the event, the 'air' has changed in social America. In 2013, racism and bigotry have devolved to the point total intolerance of all things non-white. A change from years past solely attributable to American conservatism and A moderate number of GOP politicians. Linked piece.

Miss America aside, how about the prospects of getting a job with this guys organization regardless of one's experience and equipped with a fully matriculated PhD in Mathematics? Experience plus education, a ticket to success and very employable (in most cases). Well, not if you are an African-American.

“No African Americans please only limited quantities that have brains and can actually do a day’s work,” Dennison wrote on Oct. 1, 2009, in reference to recruiting potential employees for the prestigious tennis tourney, whose women’s title was won by top-ranked Serena Williams this month.

The Ugly, The Bad and The Reality: And Chris Matthews Calls It As It Is!

Chris Matthews has said this before.

My respect for Matthews is immense for going there, when the vast majority of news show host will not. Included in the "not" crew are news hosts who should feel free to speak frankly, but have avoided the obvious. Maybe they are stifled by their managers and producers.

While on a network that will never allow speaking frankly about the topic Chris Matthews is about to speak,  Don Lemon, CNN, was allowed to speak out from his hyper-critical and misguided social perspective. I doubt Lemon has views contrary to Matthews. Yet, CNN management will not allow the "inappropriately critical" Lemon to dare venture where Matthews ventured.
Often such screeds on the TPI receive far few positive indicators.   It seems the election of Barack Obama to the highest office in the nation, precludes the reality millions despise his ever-day existence.

It is reality and it proves America is "Not and exceptional nation!"
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.

“Race prejudice has unfortunately become an American tradition which is uncritically handed down from one generation to the next. The only remedies are enlightenment and education”
Dr. Albert Einstein
"Racism is America’s greatest disease”, Racism is a disease of the white man.” Albert Einstein
As for the Negroes this country still has a heavy debt to discharge for all the troubles and disabilities it has laid on the Negro's shoulders; for all that his fellow-citizens have done and to some extent are still doing to him. To the Negro and his wonderful songs and choirs we owe the finest contribution in the realm of art which America has so far given to the world. And this great gift we owe, not to those whose names are engraved on this ‘Wall of Fame’ but to children of the people, blossoming namelessly as the lilies of the field.” [5]

“There is ... a somber point in the social outlook of Americans ... Their sense of equality and human dignity is mainly limited to men of white skins. Even among these there are prejudices of which I as a Jew am dearly conscious; but they are unimportant in comparison with the attitude of ‘Whites’ toward their fellow-citizens of darker complexion, particularly toward Negroes. ... The more I feel an American, the more this situation pains me. I can escape the feeling of complicity in it only by speaking out.”

It is so obvious. It is ugly, it is bad and it is reality!
