Anderson Cooper Ask Cortez If Trump Is A Racist

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AKA AOC) has been a sitting member of the US House of Representatives for less than one week. She has become a bit of a Nancy Pelosi Jr for rightwing demagoguery and it seems she will become a revenue cash cow for CNN (and in this case CBS's 60 Minutes). I personally would love to watch the young maverick ease more into the House seat and avoid what will certainly become a side-show carnival via Fox News, CNN and other networks for different reasons.

Before I elaborate on my point take a minute to each a portion of a 60 Minutes segment this past Sunday evening  As you watched the question from Anderson Cooper, ask yourself: What was the point or the value in asking the young Congresswoman such a question?

While I could be a bit off on my posit, I do not recall Cooper asking GOP members of Congress similar questions. He certainly has never posed such a  question to the GOP's top two well-documented racists: Steve King (R-IA) and Louis Gohmert (R-TX). for that matter, Cooper nor any of the CNN production managers have posed such a question to this CNN contributor.

racism

 noun
rac·ism | \ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi-  \

Definition of racism

1a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2aa doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles

ba political or social system founded on racism
3racial prejudice or discrimination

Here is another description of the various shades of intolerance. No photo description available. It really does seem that Trump is a racist.  The vast majority of racists do not meet on Friday night in hoods and robes for cross burnings. Racism is pervasive state of mind and it exists in many shades. One shade is the business of being a party to court settled illegal housing destination.  Another example is an inability to clearly state that growing white nationalism is abhorrent and outside the scope of American values. The salient point of this post: why was it important for Anderson Cooper to "side-eye" ask Cortez a question about her perception of Trump as a racist?  StumbleUpon

Defending Trump And A CNN Fact Check

Image result for huckabee sandersWhile hosting a rally performance in the Great State of Mississippi, Trump offered up a mega dose in unpresidential speech making.  The backdrop of his performance is noteworthy for a number of reasons: pud applause as him maligned and mocked Dr. Ford, Mississippi fact cats and dolls standing behind 45, as a noticeable absence of Trump's "Blacks Love Trump" black guy.

The arena was classic GOP from the heart of the GOP Red State territory.  And Trump performed lie a stand-up comedian and bully while under the guise of local support for a women GOP politician. Watch as Trump thrills his sycophant audience.

Watch as one of the nation's most admired women defends Trump's bullying. Oh yes, according to Snopes dot com, a survey regarding the Most Admired somehow absorbed, Huckabee Sanders. And that speaks to the pitiful state of the United States. A person who lies for a living (and highly paid for the craft of lying) is considered by a large group of fellow Americans as Most Admired.
Now watch CNN's Anderson Cooper fact check the Huckabee's remarks and Trump's attack on Dr. Ford.
Trump will get his "get out of jail card" Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS. He will, via the confirming votes for the GOP and Democrats whoa re by name only Democrats, also have placed an alleged drunk and sexual assaulter on the Court.

But, do you think the nation cares?  We can rest assured the nation's conservatives are happy with the Kavanuagh proceedings.

#Resistance: Jeff Flake, Democrats, And Ana Maria Archila

You know American History. You probably have heard the name, Frederick Douglass. If you recognize the name, you know Douglass escape slavery (via the help of sympathetic Americans). He was self-taught on reading and writing the English language and he became the first former slave (Black American) to achieve elected Office in Washington DC.

He was an activist.

The following minutes of a 30-minute video is currently part of a visit to what some called the Frederick Douglass House in Washington DC. The video is part of daily tours and it does a decent job of encapsulating Douglass and his life replete with tragedies of which he never recovered.

As I watched the movie during a visit to the House a few years back the following ending of the movie is forever emblazoned in my mind and psyche. Linked here.

"Agitate, Agitate, Agitate........ "

If people do not stand up to what seems growing tyranny, the nation will fold under the pressure of money, greedy and conservative "I got mine" selfishness.

Think about today's political arena and spectacles in the US Senate.  If you witnessed the spectacle you saw a Republican party wholly committed to placing a man on the SCOTUS who may, and seeming does have, issues which should preclude his consideration.  Of all the video of the day, we offer an example of Douglass's advice to the young man as the fellow considered shaping his life after Douglass.

These two women have a place in US history generally unattainable via everyday life int he nation. Their place is set via the election of Donald Trump and provided a path to archiving via Trump's obvious desire to place a "get out of jail": Justice on the Court.

Judge Kavanaugh has been accused of a past of alleged abuse of young girls while he grew through his teenage and college years. He also has a past which apparently includes "beer" well beyond the level most people consume as they grow through their mid-developmental years.

While we are hearing the US Senator, Jeff Flake R-AZ, who entered the elevator wasn't necessarily swayed in his decision to seek a delay in an early morning vote, I find it 8impiossible to ignore the level of 'Agitation and Resistance' from the two women.

What follows is a snippet of the full video.

CNN's Anderson Cooper interviewed one of the women.
Imagine life in Jim Crow America. Imagine young Emmett Till being tortured and thrown into a river after death, based on a false accusation of a white woman who has now admitted she lied on the young visitor to her hometown in Mississippi. Imagine the life of Native Original North Americans as American Manifest Destiny led to tribal genocide unparalleled in US history.  Imagine the extensive list of women who have come forth with stories of sexual abuse and raping via Bill Cosby. How about the on-going story of Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood.

Imagine no one caring no one speaking out, no one 'agitating."

Imagine.

As Trump's World Turns: The Corrupt, The Felons, The News Makers, And The Swamp

A  Culture of Corruption

Image may contain: 6 people, text

First 30-seconds of Fox News, Hannity, and GOP Operative Newt Gingrich. Yes, Manafort (the felon) helped get Trump elected.

Alas.....

If you were raised without ever hearing the following you certainly were not raised in the United States:

" Birds of a feather flock together."

Allow me to apply that old adage to Trumpism.  I will do so with a couple of questions.

Do you believe it is possible for Trump to literally have surrounded himself with sleazy, fraudulent, deceitful and deplorable characters without also having an inner core which touches into an underbelly of life in the US?
Does it in any way surprise you the first two members of the GOP House to openly support Trump for president face charges from the strong arm of US Law?

If the questions don't point to a sebaceous cyst Trump voters and the nation's approximately 90 too 100 million nonvoters failed to consider, think what follows.

All of that said, let's visit with Trump's record-breaking and historic August 21, 2018.

CNN Cohen Pleads Guilty.  Note the 50-second mark of the following video.

......'his co-conspirator and/or his aider and abetter' was the President. Actually, the co-conspirator was the candidate for President on the Republican ticket; Cohen's one of three clients: Donald J. Trump.

All The President's Men

With the hour in a court in Virginia, Trump's former campaign chair, Paul Manafort, was receiving the verdicts of his 18 count court case.

The following CNN video is our choice to encapsulate the essence of Trump's day int eh swamp. The video again touches on Cohen' plea while offering a noteworthy report of the Manafort guilty verdicts. We also find the video a good choice as we consider Trump's August 21, day in the swamp and ...All The President's Men (to date).

Our intent was to quickly with video deal with yesterday's historic day in Trump's world. A complete review of yesterday should also include touching on yet another Republicans caught up in felonious acts regarding campaign funds.

The second Congressman to openly support Trump for president has been charged along with his wife.  The SWAMP......

Felonious members of Congress aside, it is literally unfathomable the number and scope of Trump's political apparatus who are being scrutinized or charged with crimes.  In addition, we have members of his cabinet who have been or are under investigation for misuse and abuse of their cabinet positions. And we have a literal cadre of Trump talking heads all over cable news (especially CNN and Fox News) spewing Trump propaganda which could rival that of Hitler's Joseph Goebbels.

Watch as CNN's Anderson Copper challenges the talking-point spewing Rick "BLAH PeopleSantorum, linked here.

Let's close with a view worthy segment from Don Lemon's CNN Tonight.

One more. I know you have to get back to work, but consider Lemon's "All The President's Lies

"......Only the best."

Congressman Has Never Heard Trump Lie (Video)

Image result for jim jordanYesterday CNN's Anderson Cooper sat in-studio for a remote segment with the GOP's Number One pit bull,  all-things conservative facilitator, and lunatic, Jim Jordan, R-OH.

The segment was actually unremarkable and proceeded as one would expect with Jordan standing in the Capitol Building.  Yet, one thing Jordan said stood out; and it speaks to his personal credibility.

As the segment progressed through discussion of former FBI Director James Comey, while touching on the Russian collusion probe, Cooper point-black asked Jordan if he had ever heard the president lie. The following video segment was cut at the point of Cooper's specific question. Linked, here. The full segment is posted below if you have an interest in listening to Jordan for seven minutes.

Full version

Jim Jordan hesitated ever so slightly and lied.

The Tampa Bay Times (Politifact)

The Washington Post

It is statistically impossible for Jim Jordan to have never heard a lie from Donald Trump. The Ohio representative's willingness to state his own lie on international television speaks volumes about his veracity and credibility.

"Shithole Countries" Part II (VIDEO)

Image result for shithole countries

Before you start this piece, recognize a couple of important items. First, it is a piece developed via the use of many videos from CNN and MSNBC. If you are averse to our choice of construction on the piece, avoid the piece. We also offer a talking point alert: You will see an hearing consistent rationalizing of Trump's racist remarks shrouded in a pathetic "economic" argument. The very same argument offered up by some in media during the 2016 primaries and General Election campaign as Trump entertained millions across the nation who swelter in racism and hatred from the moment they awake through their late-night-viewing of Sean Hannity.

Africa, Haiti and other “shithole countries.” Donald J. Trump, January 11, 2018

Africa, Haiti and other “shithole countries.”
“Why do we want all these people from ‘shithole countries’ coming here?” Trump told a bipartisan group of senators in the Oval Office, according to CNN.
The president’s comment was made during a meeting with six senators hoping to come to a compromise on immigration.

After Sen. Dick Durbin proposed to end the visa lottery in exchange for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for countries like El Salvador, Trump reportedly interrupted him when Durbin got to Haiti.
Trump went on to ask why the US would want more people from Haiti and African countries, rather than countries like Norway. The president also asked if Haiti could be left out of the plan, reports the New York Times, “Why do we want people from Haiti here?”

An all-out racist!

The segment of the night: Don Lemon's CNN Tonight, panel. Of course, we know the segments on CNN run a little long based on network management's broadcast model (panel point-counterpoint scraps), we simply must show the ridiculousness of Trump surrogates using talking points apparently developed in anticipation of reaction to Trump's racism and vulgar language. The comments from the surrogate were echoed on each cable network which ran minutes regarding Trump's racism.

CNN's Don Lemon devoted a full five-minutes addressing people who voted for Trump.  Video via the Raw Story.

Crooks & Liars published a piece regarding the mother of all panels from last night's cable news.

Before the Crooks & Liars piece take one minute of this ten-minute segment to view how racists promulgate their messaging. The first minute led to Don Lemon cutting the racist Trump surrogate out of the segment. He was brought back later in the segment. And, therein lies where Crooks & Liars picked up the video.

CNN 2; The "Presstitute" Zero (Fails)

Image result for janet porter roy moore If you have been on the International Space Station for a couple of years; if you have no access to electricity which facilitates viewing television, or if you are a deep and chronic Trump supporter who also cares nothing about political decency, you may never have been exposed to what we call the hired presstitute.

"A person or media entity that misleadingly tailors news to fit a particular partisan, financial or business agenda". For more explanation refer to the following link.

The presstitute is a hired word-slinger (as was gunslinger of the old West) who receives a paycheck based on spewing totally biased or inaccurate oratory in favor of their employer. While Trump and the GOP have many such demagogues, Alabama's Ray Moore managed to find the ultimate presstitute (a top-level word-slinger with a terrible TV effect). Janet Porter is a prime example of the reality of GOP politics and a reminder of past demagogues who supported despots, the deranged national leader or dictators.

Take a look at the Alabama vote via the New York Times.

CANDIDATEPARTYVOTESPCT.
Doug JonesDemocrat671,15149.9%
Roy MooreRepublican650,43648.4
Total Write-Ins22,8191.7
100% reporting (2,220 of 2,220 precincts)

Note Moore lost the election by close to 21,000 votes.  Moore requested the vote not certify based on allegations of voter fraud in Jefferson County Alabama.  We should state, Jefferson County has the highest number of African-American voters in the state. Wonder why Moore would pick-on the votes in Jefferson County? If we consider a 21,000 vote loss, imagine the number of the 21,000 who would have to be counted as votes for Moore to reverse the reality of the vote.  Now, imagine a count in which not one of the 21,000 switched over to vote for Moore's opponent. Outside the realm of reality, correct?  Not in Roy Moore's world.

Watch sit for on-camera duty with two CNN show hosts.  The segment is a bit long bit relevant.

Another long segment later in the day with John Berman. Notice voter fraud was at the forefront of the Berman segment.

Are there any words beyond "shameful?" People like Porter are integral to politicians like Ray Moore. Trump has KellyAnne (Alternative Facts) Conway and Sarah (lie machine) Huckabee Sanders at the front line of his Cadre of Demagoguery. So, the presstitute will take their pay and serve well. The critical issue is are there actually so many Americans who subscribe to their zany lies and misrepresentations they presstitute will thrive and manifest as we move towards the middle of the 21 Century.

The Trump (Less Visible) Talking Head Who Fails In Interviews

Image result for GorkaAs part of this week's Trump reality TV show and following the Emmy Award Winning performance by Trump's elder son, Junior, we are watching a tidal wave of Trump presstitutes struggle through interviews with credible media. The following episode of Trumpism starts one Sebastian Gorka vs. CNN host Anderson Cooper. If you want to real about a character who totally befits what the US elected to the White House, google Sebastian Gorka and do a bit of reading.

The segment is slightly over nine minutes long, but recognize Gorka is Trump's twist em up expert.  You will notice when Gorka fails to twist the wily Anderson Cooper, he resorted to classic deflection.

"I stand by what the president and his son said," Gorka stated. "We are impressed by Don Jr.'s transparency and the fact that he published these emails."
Junior's so-called transparency was accomplished within mere minutes of a New York Times stated intention to release. A notification given to the White House was alerted two hours earlier.

"Transparency?" As transparent as Donald Trump the elder is honest.

He makes Kelly Anne Conway seem amateurish.

Trumps Tweets: Insight Into The Mind Of A Sexist

Image may contain: meme and text

Morning Joe's Mika and Joe response to Trump's Twitter attack. For the record, the Morning Joe Show is not on my news viewing roster watch the show as it, over the years, positioned itself as a morning dose of conservative fodder for moderate conservatives while Fox and Friends garner the zany and whacked out conservative morning news viewers. I also placed the show on my absolutely do not watch list as we found the two hosts cuddling with Trump as the 2016 campaign neared the November vote.  Thoughts of a personal affinity for the two MSNBC hosts are thoughts wasted in time.

After a few weeks of watching Trump and company worked into the Oval Office with a Santa Claus bag of lies, misinformation, and deceit, the show's producers and hosts became critical. Criticism vs flattery is problematic for cable news networks. If the network isn't a trump co-signer or propaganda outlet (eg., Fox News), the network becomes a target for the ego driven narcissist in the Oval Office.  Well, the two MSNBC hosts must have spoken one too many criticisms earlier in the week.

I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came..

...to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!

Another perspective from this morning's show: Donny Deutsch.

How about a dose of unabashed efforts to control the media topped with icing which appears as pure fascism.  Threats via the Nation Enquirer!

Scarborough alleges he alerted NBC executives of the blackmail attempts.

Comment from a person who embed with the Trump campaign and who was literally attacked at a Trump rally.
CNN's Anderson Copper honed in on "Its not normal."

Another CNN Perspective.
