Sanders And How He Pays For His Vision of the Presidency

Over the course of his campaign, Senators has stated how he would fund his campaign promises.

The following graphic covers it all.  It should be noted, as with all presidential candidates, once they move into the Oval Office, many of their campaign promises move to the back burner. Even President Obama hasn't fulfilled each and every campaign promise, but he has come close. As the old adage goes, "Close is only good in horseshoes."

If he wins the nomination, I will gleefully vote for the man in November. After that, I will await fruition of his vision for the nation. StumbleUpon

An Ugly Democrat Party Conference In Las Vegas

As the Democrat 2016 political process joins the GOP process in outright shameful exhibits of disgusting behavior, this past weekend's fights and scuffles in Las Vegas has to take top prize for *king of shame.*

Let's start with a video of Sanders addressing a crowd of supporters. If the Nascent Democrat party candidate is not careful could turn the Democrat convention into a total exhibition of WWE like matches.

Excitement or exciting?

Sanders; remarks may not have contributed to the weekend vulgarity, Fist fights, floor shuffles, and shouts of "boo", but in aggregate his supporters remind of a past of Libertarian events.
I recall Ron Paul supporters who exhibited behavior comparable to that you are about to see. The victim of the Sander's supporter's profanity and disgust is the honored and very professional Barbara Boxer (D) CA.

Calif Sen Barbara Boxer: If you boo me you're booing Bernie Sanders

The Daily Kos reported on the weekend shame, and while the social media site is not a news source it is known for credible progressive reporting. I should state there are certain writers in the Kos network who are Clinton supporters, and on the opposite side Sanders supporters.

From (the) Las Vegas Sun,
According to state party representatives, six of those were eventually allowed as delegates, and the rest were denied delegate or alternate status because either they or their records could not be located or they were not registered Democrats by the May 1 deadline.
Meanwhile, 8 Clinton supporters were denied delegate status for similar reasons.
Yes, that’s right: a process that is easy and completely free was skipped over by a few dozen people, who are now kicking up a fuss because they are not democrats but want to participate in selecting the democratic nominee. Such as this gem: So, I waited 2 hours in the Credentials Committee line (10 people in front of me) to be told I was ineligible to be seated today because I changed my registration from Democrat about three weeks ago when I went on a spur of disgust for the party. This may sound incompetent on my end, and maybe it's common knowledge, but I didn't know I had to maintain my Democrat registration through this process past the caucuses. Can someone verify if this is an old rule or something they just made up? They said I had to be registered Democrat by May 1st. After that point, they 'vet' each state delegate on the list to verify they are Democrats. Rules are rules, but I'd be less disappointed if hadn't wasted 4 (total) hours attempting to fight for Bernie today, when I could have spent an hour or less finding out the same information if the party had their shit together.
You had to be a Democrat to participate in a Democratic Convention? The horror! Liberty has fallen! America is an oligarchy!
To his credit, and as much good as that did, Sanders had urged his supporters the night before to remain respectful.
For further news, check out Kristin Orthman (Harry Reid’s spokesperson’s) twitter feed.
Considering the disgusting behavior of the protestors here, and the resorting to getting physical, don’t paint them as the victims. We mock the Republicans whenever they stoop to these levels. Remember those Trump rallies we were sneering at?
Finally, as to the guys wanted Democracy, right? The new delegate total more accurately reflects what had gone down in the February caucus. Consider your wish granted. Consider the will of the voters served.

If the Sanders supporters are not registered as democrats, I wonder why the Sanders campaign did not anticipate issues related to his nascent claim of running as a Democrats. Maybe, the campaign should have suggested his supporters register as Democrats, as he launched his campaign.

US Media And Its Shameful Role In Shaping Politics (Not Fox News)

If you continue to believe that the US, as a nation, has great and informative news coverage, you should place a bet WWE wrestling is not fake.  The WWE entertains people in a manner similar to that of current cable news managers. producers, and hosts.

How many times have you heard CNN's over-the-top, "Go after?" When did US politics become the domain of the "bully metaphor?" When did the words "debate performance" or debate strategy die-off and morph into war-like figurative prose aimed at garnering ratings? Within the contents of my point which network leads the pack in wide-eyed host scripts focused on alarming its viewers; by far CNN. From Carol Costello's frowning early morning stumbling through daily segments to Smerconish's (weekend) overt nudging for the GOP. From Wolf Blitzer's outright "The sky is falling" mealy eyed deliver through Brooke Baldwins ever-present leg shots and battle analogies, the network has osmosed into a daily town-caller of freight, fear and "Oh my God" reporting.

I may have actually caught the tail-end of a segment in which Smerconish stated he had registered as a Republican: Linked here. The CNN and talk radio host's reason for the public declaration of his political loyalty isn't a relevant point. The fact he clearly did so on international television is the salient point. If the life-long conservative (republican) moved to his self-proclaimed Independent status for a few years and has now oozed back to the GOP, his status as a news host should be questioned. Of course, all networks have hosts who are so obvious in their ideology it wrecks; but most do not perform on-air declarations. All MSNBC evening host are expected to vote Democrat, but I will wager you will not hear either say they are a registered Democrat.  Fox News...? Well, no need to comment on the GOP's communication division.

Let's stay focused on CNN amidst its nascent, yet clear, mission to move Right. Do you recall when CNN actually ran commercials about its "neutral" Or "balanced" positions regarding news reporting? What you are about to read and she from Mediaite lays bare the level to which CNN has gone right-wing rogue.

Watch CNN Reporter Feed Bernie Sanders Attack Lines Against Hillary
by Tommy Christopher | 1:41 pm, April 15th, 2016

One of the standout moments at Thursday night’s Democratic presidential debate was when independent Vermont Senator and Democratic presidential candidateBernie Sanders was unable to name a single decision that Hillary Clinton has made that was influenced by campaign contributions. The exchange cut against the Sanders campaign’s central argument against Hillary, that she can’t be trusted to take on corporate interests because she takes large campaign contributions.
In a most unusual move, right after Thursday night’s debate, CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny literally fed Bernie Sanders an attack line to use against Hillary in case the subject ever comes up again:

Zeleny: Did you forget to mention the bankruptcy bill tonight, when you were asked by Dana Bash to point out some examples of things where she voted, was that intentional, or was that…
Sanders: That’s a point that Elizabeth Warren made.
Zeleny: But you didn’t make it tonight, you made it before..
Sanders: Well, I made a few other points, you can’t make ’em all.
Watch Cnn Reporter Feed Bernie Sanders Attack Lines Against Hillary
Zeleny is referring to a 2004 video in which Elizabeth Warren seems to accuse Hillary of switching her vote on a bankruptcy bill because of campaign contributions. Bernie circulated the attack in a campaign memo a few months ago, but then walked back from it in subsequent interviews. Maybe Bernie forgot, or maybe he knew that Hillary Clinton had a ready answer for that charge. I haven’t heard him repeat it since.
What’s unusual, though, is Zeleny weighing in here with an attack line, because he’s a reporter, not a commentator. If he thinks the bankruptcy bill is something that Hillary has to answer for, he should be asking Hillary about it, not feeding it to Bernie without any journalistic pretext. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reporter chew a candidate’s talking point into a paste and then regurgitate it back into their mouths like a mother sparrow.
Interestingly, it was also Jeff Zeleny who wrote the characterization of the Clinton campaign’s strategy as “disqualify and defeat,” which the Sanders campaign then used as their excuse for Bernie lying and saying Hillary called him unqualified to be president. It seems Zeleny is a handy guy for the Sanders campaign to have around.
Zeleny is new to CNN, His employment came in close proximity to the hiring of former Meet The Press (conservative dance with Karl Rove) Gregory.
If seems CNN is going fullbore in stealing ratings from Fox News. Wonder if the network will pursue a contract with Pat Buchanan should Donald Trump walk wit hthe GOP nomination. Trump will need a solid what nationalist to serve on CNN and CNN would surely benefit with Trumps supporters turning end for doses of Buchanan racism.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: GOP 2016: Debate Fade, Trump Racism and Bigotry, Ann Coulter's Utter Disgust

We will start with piece with a couple of short visits on matters emanating from the recent GOP Debate. Bernie Sanders responded to question about his perception of parts of the debate  and we visit with debate stage lies about the Iran Nuclear Deal.

"It was and is all about Obama!"

The Evolving Uncloaking of the Underbelly of Racism and Bigotry that affixes with Trump

Do you recall after the resounding congressional defeats of the 2012 mid-term elections RNC Chair, Reince Priebus, proclaiming a need to perform an autopsy of what went wrong? The autopsy (more aptly referred to as a lobotomy, since an autopsy denotes after death medical examiner procedures) was completed in 2013 with much fanfare from the RNC chair. ABC News reported in march 2013 as follows: (Highlights via The Pardu)

The report, called the "Growth and Opportunity Project," lays out an extensive plan the RNC believes will lead the party to victory with an extensive outreach to women, African-American, Asian, Hispanic and gay voters. Among the plans: hiring paid outreach staffers across the country in a $10 million push that begins right away; backing "comprehensive immigration reform"; abbreviating the presidential primary process with fewer debates, specifically saying the party would like at least half the 20 there were during the 2012 cycle; and moving the convention to June or July, as well as improving the data and digital effort.
Priebus noted that the party's policies are fundamentally sound but require a softer tone and broader outreach, include a stronger push for African-American, Latino, Asian, women and gay voters.
"To be clear, our principles our sound, our principles are not old rusty thoughts in some book," Priebus said, but the "report notes the way we communicate our principles isn't resonating widely enough."
Priebus added: "I think our policies are sound, but I think in many ways the way we communicate can be a real problem."
The report also specifically states that there needs to be more inclusion. "We need to campaign among Hispanic, black, Asian, and gay Americans and demonstrate we care about them, too. We must recruit more candidates who come from minority communities. But it is not just tone that counts. Policy always matters."

In just a little of two years post the Growth and Opportunity Project the GOP and conservative American have flushed Priebus naivety and false promise down the proverbial drain.  In Mid-June now front running candidate for the GOP 2016 nomination went here (The epitome of the time warn GOP southern strategy):  Trump went full racist.

From his June staking of his turf on behalf of the GOP in August we find this (eight seconds): Dallas rally with "White Power."

As David Duke has indicate support for Trump, we now move to this shameful act at Trumps afternoon rally. It should be noted Trump exemplified the level of class, I personal expect from a  GOP candidate and that level is nil.

Trump Townhall seething with conspiracy nuts, racists and Trump agrees with each vile remark.

Take a minute sixteen seconds and listen to complete and total validation of the GOP as the party of American racism and bigotry.

The session with a bit of opining from MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Hardball, and guests.

If you want to see a typical conservative racism, level it to Ann Coulter to deliver.

Berine Sanders Tweet Seems To Carry A Message

What follows shows the extent to which alleged progressive politics has taken on an air of "politics GOP." The following tweet shows there are people who support US progressivism who are willing to accept and share just about any post which either favors their potential candidate or disparages their candidate's opponent.

More important the following illustrates the value of expending a few moments in seeking information which accurately and properly feeds the brain. Also significant, the fact such "stuff" could be the direct result of Right-wing operatives funneling mis-information and lies across social media to divide the progressive mindset via candidate assassination.

If you think the GOP is beyond the dirty trick, you should do some reading regarding Richard Nixon and George W. Bush political operatives. The following an example of mis-information with a purpose. Our reason for posting has nothing to do with the person who tweeted the message. Our concern is the outright lie at the core of the message.
It is possible to have misread the headline above, but numerous sources have Bernie Sanders in the US Congress (House and Senate) a total of 18 years. He won his Senate Seat in 2006.  Maybe, the following information is inaccurate.

Below is an abbreviated outline of Sanders' academic, professional and political career:[7]

GovTrak offers a much more detailed picture of the Senator from Vermont, including a scatter graph that shows his complete liberal lean.

"Sanders legislative record for 26 years in Congress!"

We call the headline as it is pure bunco and seemingly developed for people who read and assimilate without thought or questioning the illogical. The headline doesn't stand as possible to the rational mind. The rational person only has to watch Sanders for a few minutes to know the headline is a case of political subterfuge.

The Political Guide has a spread of Sander's prolific legislative work during the 112th Congress alone.

It seems the person who alleged enacted the  search approached the task with a clear motive.

Emil Mella Open Letter To The American People (Bernie Sanders)

Embed original version
(Original frank version minus "off color" verbiage linked below(my prefered version)- The Pardu)

Bernie Sanders speaks at the kickoff event for his 2016 presidential campaign, held in Burlington, Vermont.

Less frank version!
This is an open letter to the American people. I wrote another, nearly identical open letter to the American people, but that one was apparently a tad vulgar for a lot of people’s tastes, and, like all the great rappers, I hereby present to you the clean version.
In the race to decide the next President of your arguably great nation, there is one candidate who has been drawing the largest crowds of any candidate visiting the key primary state of Iowa (including the Republican primary candidates, who probably estimate about 1% of the American population at this point). A candidate who out-fundraised Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul in any of their first 24 hours as candidates. A candidate whose policies align with the majority of Americans on everything from income inequality to money’s role in politics to the minimum wage to federally financed political campaigning to abortion to overturning Citizens United to global warming and government taking action to combat it to the affordability of a college degree to gun control to government surveillance to passing a law legalizing gay marriage in all 50 statesA candidate who was one of the thousands of Americans who marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. in his historic March on Washington in 1963. A candidate who has served as a mayor (being one of the earliest proponents of a lot of the policies that are nowadays commonplace in municipal government), a congressman and a senator, with deep knowledge of the American political system and equally deep, authentic convictions that he has held onto for his entire political career.
There is also only one candidate who so far has been either ignored or ridiculed by the massive majority of the American media during his entire campaign. A candidate whose campaign kickoff had the most attendees of that of any candidate so far, and yet was mostly ignored by most media outlets, or relegated to a side-note about a general story on the race, while candidates like ex-Governor and current-who-are-you-supposed-to-be George Pataki got major coverage. A candidate whose disproportionately tiny actual coverage includes headlines such as Bernie Sanders for President? Why Not? and flattering subtitles like Why Sanders draws the crowds, excites the base, polls relatively well — and still won’t make much of an impact in 2016.” A candidate who straight-up got asked by Katie Couric whether he’d like to be Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential candidate and who is constantly reminded that success” would be pulling Clinton’scampaign farther to theleft on certain policies. I mean, come on.

That candidate’s name is Bernie Sanders, and he could, and
should, be the 45th President of the United States of America.

Sanders at a packed town hall meeting in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Saying what I’ve just said shouldn’t be a controversial thing. If anything, it’s by all means a perfectly sound thing to say when writing about a political candidate.
So, I will now address the groups of people that somehow remarkably make saying “this old white heterosexual American man whose platform is entirely in touch with most of mainstream American politics should be President” a weird, taboo thing to say.
First off, the general news media. Apart from what I said above, there is really something genuinely worrying about the concept of a news media largely owned by millionaires (and in some cases billionaires) who employ millionaire anchors and writers shunning the one candidate in favor of major redistribution of wealth away from America’s top earners and into the middle class. The media can make or break a candidate, and, unlike ever before, the current 2016 presidential race coverage seems determined to break Bernie Sanders, with some exceptions currently applying the ol’ “oh would you look at that he’s actually doing well maybe we should stop blatantly dismissing his campaign” approach to reporting. Looking at you, New York Times.
This is not a matter of bias. It is a matter of math.

Social Security...Recall FDRs Remarks

Friend of the TPI...Jeff Carlson

The Party of Scrooge - History of American Politics's photo.

We have been talking about who owns the Media. Six Corporations, all of them lean Right Wing, so we the people need to challenge the Lies about Social Security and it’s Future.

What Republicans are seeking is to steal the Funds Owed the  and hand them to Wall Street. Of Course Wall Street will legally lose your funds but all the Trust Money Funds will be paid to Wall Street making it the largest heist of funds ever in the History of this Planet.

It would mean the Death to millions of Americans that rely on the funds they worked all their lives for. Sad thing the Republicans who have no morals and are true Charlatans just do not care, it is about Winning and Greed.

People need to wake up to what this current GOP is doing because they have no Morals with Greed being the God they worship. America and the American people are just pawns for them to exploit!

From Bernie:

“Social Security can pay out every benefit to every eligible American for the next 18 years,” said Sanders. “But listen to this - if income inequality had stayed at the same level as it was in 1983, Social Security would have $1.1 trillion dollars more than it does today, and it would not just be solvent for the next 18 years, but for the next 38 years. In other words, it’s not just that income inequality is wrong onto itself, it has significantly hurt the lifetime of Social Security.
