As Trump's World Turns: El Paso And The Lie Machine

Image may contain: 1 person, text
The lies started with a false claim about special permission from the El Paso Fire Department.

Trump's rally in El Paso, TC sets the stage for his apparent interest in running for a second term/ We can only hope legal entanglements via investigation will stifle Trump's taste for the limelight (and the US Presidency) with a resultant decision to not run again. The nation needs much better and I offer can do much better...even from the Republican party.

But let's take a few minutes and follow yet another Aaron Rupar Twitter thread of Trump's Rally.
CNN's Chris Cuomo offered a rebuttal to Trump's continuing lies about the past and present crime rate in El Paso, TX.

And let there be no rally without a reach-back lie about the Obama Administration.

Herewith is a link to Aaron's Twitter page:

And here is how it often ends with Trump.  A member of the BBC media team was literally attacked by a MAGA cap wearing dink.

Another perspective.

I don't recall reports of Hitler nor Joseph Goebbels enticing such attacks during a rally.

Texas Senatorial Race: Beto O'Rourke

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has an opponent, Beto O'Rourke, in the coming fall elections who is polling within striking distance of the GOP's number one zany man in the Senate. The Senator who almost single-handedly facilitated a short shutdown of the federal government a few years back and a Senator who has warmed Trump despite candidate Trump's disparaging both his wife and father in the 2016 GOP Primaries.

It seems Cruz could move from "warm to Trump" to snuggling with Trump as we move closer to the November mid-terms.

While I realize for some of you, civil rights isn't a voting impetus (for the lack of a better word) issue. However, It is important to recognize Civil Rights issues are but a marble roll away from human rights issues and let's be frank the GOP is not about the business of Human Rights and the party is darned near averse to Civil Rights.

In the context not Trump's diverse strategy regarding NFL Players and the National Anthem.

He is a long shot against Cruz but a refreshing thought.  Actually, it is a shame I cannot vote for Beto.
