#Resistance: Jeff Flake, Democrats, And Ana Maria Archila

You know American History. You probably have heard the name, Frederick Douglass. If you recognize the name, you know Douglass escape slavery (via the help of sympathetic Americans). He was self-taught on reading and writing the English language and he became the first former slave (Black American) to achieve elected Office in Washington DC.

He was an activist.

The following minutes of a 30-minute video is currently part of a visit to what some called the Frederick Douglass House in Washington DC. The video is part of daily tours and it does a decent job of encapsulating Douglass and his life replete with tragedies of which he never recovered.

As I watched the movie during a visit to the House a few years back the following ending of the movie is forever emblazoned in my mind and psyche. Linked here.

"Agitate, Agitate, Agitate........ "

If people do not stand up to what seems growing tyranny, the nation will fold under the pressure of money, greedy and conservative "I got mine" selfishness.

Think about today's political arena and spectacles in the US Senate.  If you witnessed the spectacle you saw a Republican party wholly committed to placing a man on the SCOTUS who may, and seeming does have, issues which should preclude his consideration.  Of all the video of the day, we offer an example of Douglass's advice to the young man as the fellow considered shaping his life after Douglass.

These two women have a place in US history generally unattainable via everyday life int he nation. Their place is set via the election of Donald Trump and provided a path to archiving via Trump's obvious desire to place a "get out of jail": Justice on the Court.

Judge Kavanaugh has been accused of a past of alleged abuse of young girls while he grew through his teenage and college years. He also has a past which apparently includes "beer" well beyond the level most people consume as they grow through their mid-developmental years.

While we are hearing the US Senator, Jeff Flake R-AZ, who entered the elevator wasn't necessarily swayed in his decision to seek a delay in an early morning vote, I find it 8impiossible to ignore the level of 'Agitation and Resistance' from the two women.

What follows is a snippet of the full video.

CNN's Anderson Cooper interviewed one of the women.
Imagine life in Jim Crow America. Imagine young Emmett Till being tortured and thrown into a river after death, based on a false accusation of a white woman who has now admitted she lied on the young visitor to her hometown in Mississippi. Imagine the life of Native Original North Americans as American Manifest Destiny led to tribal genocide unparalleled in US history.  Imagine the extensive list of women who have come forth with stories of sexual abuse and raping via Bill Cosby. How about the on-going story of Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood.

Imagine no one caring no one speaking out, no one 'agitating."

Imagine.

As Trump's World Turns: Conway Attempts Military Pay Increase Lie on CNN (Foiled Again)

Related image

Watch 1:06 minutes of Trump's White House Staffer, Conway, as she occupies The Sunday Morning News shows with oral Trumpism.  While the segment lasted many minutes longer, the excerpt which follows embodies how Trump employs talking head demagogues to spew scripts seeming written with little attention to facts. What does Conway offer the CNN audience? She spews alternative facts (lies) which included insertion of their common and ever-present lie about the only and largest military pay increase in US history.

CNN host Jake Tapper quickly destroyed Conway's lie. Conway quickly accepted the actual reality of her lie and continued on her Gish Gallop effort to occupy the full scope of segment minutes.

The American Independent published the following transcript of the 30 seconds of on-air military pay increase lie. We have posted the transcript with permission.

Conway gets busted lying about military pay, then lies about it again
Tommy Christopher 09 Sep 2018
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway continued to lie about military pay raises Sunday morning, even after she was busted for it just minutes before by CNN’s Jake Tapper.
On Sunday morning’s edition of CNN’s “State of the Union,” Conway kicked off a day of desperate damage control over this week’s revelations that senior Trump administration officials routinely disobey and ignore Trump’s orders in order to keep disaster at bay.
In the middle of that effort, Conway tried to slip in an unrelated lie.
“We have had the first pay raise for the military in years,” Conway fibbed to Tapper.
“Well, not the first,” Tapper interrupted.
Conway tried to talk over him, but Tapper finished his correction: “It’s a bigger pay raise, but they’ve been going on every year.”
Indeed, as Tapper noted, military service members have gotten pay raises every year.
But Tapper’s fact check didn’t stop Conway from repeating the same lie to another reporter.
In a later interview with “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd, Conway again claimed that Trump had passed “the first military pay raise in quite a while.”
Todd didn’t catch her lie.
Tapper’s fact check also didn’t convey just how badly Trump has insulted our troops when it comes to pay.
Trump recently “joked” to troops at Fort Drum that they would give up their pay raises if they were “real patriots.” He also rewrote history by insisting that the 2.6 percent raise was the “biggest pay increase in a decade.”
It’s true, as Tapper noted, that this year’s pay raise for troops was larger than in recent years.
However, this year’s 2.6 percent increase still fell short of the 3.4 percent pay raise President Obama enacted in 2010 when he had the support of a Democratic Congress.
It was only after Republicans took control of the House that military pay raises dipped below 3 percent, and even fell to a measly 1 percent in 2014 and 2015.
It’s not surprising that Conway would lie for Trump. But it is especially galling that she would use a lie about military pay in order to defend a person who avoided military service himself during the Vietnam War, and who later described his ability to avoid contracting an STD as his own “personal Vietnam.”
Trump has also failed to visit troops in a combat zone even once during his first year and a half in office, and has practically made a second career of attacking military families and veterans.
After ignoring the sacrifice of American troops who were killed in Niger, Trump then started a feud with the grieving family of one of those troops.
And Trump recently capped off years of attacks on former prisoner of war John McCain by refusing to honor McCain’s life after he died of cancer last month.
Our troops deserve better than what Republicans and Trump have given them — and they definitely deserve better than to be blatantly lied about by one of Trump’s closest advisers.
Shouldn't a sane nation expect much more than day after day hour upon hour of dying from the Oval Office?

As Trump's World Turns; "Zero" Increase For Federal Employees; Trump's Disapproval At 60%

 Image may contain: 1 person
"I have determined that for 2019, both across the board pay increases and locality pay increases will be set at zero."
Imagine an almost billionaire along with a Congress of predominant millionaires with the prospect of an anvil of a pay increase for federal workers at their whim. Now consider that same set of US politicians not long ago passed and signed a major tax cut for the nations most wealthy taxpayers while using the same legislation to sneak middle class and lower income tax hits on other Americans.

MarketWatch

Millionaires on average will get an extra $69,660 boost. Those with less than $10,000 will get an extra $10 to play with.
The percentage change also skews upward, with the best benefits accruing to the $500,000 to $1 million bracket. The $50,000-to-$75,000 bracket sees a 1.6% benefit.
Things change however once 2025 rolls around. If no change is made, what were tax cuts will become tax hikes, even relative to current law.
Another look via Time

Image result for who benefited from the trump tax cuts

While the charts and the reality of Trump's "zero," remark are now folded into US History, the sad reality isn't mitigated in any manner.

And last night Trump laid another lie-egg on his audience.

I distinctly recall reading Paul Ryan's comments regarding "entitlement" programs as he defended the Trump/Ryan tax cuts.

"Zero!" for federal employees, unless the GOP Congress passes legislation to offset Trump's elitist disregard form middle America.

How did Senator Ben Cardin respond  when asked about Trump's  budget letter including the word "Zero?"

CNN
"Zero. This seems to be how much respect President Trump has for federal workers," wrote Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Maryland, in a statement. "It is outrageous and hypocritical that after spending billions of taxpayer dollars on unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations -- and as the President boasts about the 'great' state of the American economy, that suddenly the White House finds that there is zero money left to pay a minimal cost-of-living adjustment to the patriotic, dedicated public servants."
Is there any wonder a recent ABC/ Washington Post Poll shows Trump's approval rating is slipping into the darkness. Of course, Republicans nationwide support Trump at the 90% level, rational Americans continue to find the nation's 45th president a manner close to abhorrent.

Poll linked.

As Trump's World Turns: State Charges, CFO Plea Agreement, And A Spineless Congressman In California

And, The GOP Legal Saga(s) Continue

As I called-it a night last evening, the following video crossed my television.  The Trump organization is under state and local legal actions, I assume for felonious endeavors. Of course, rational and caring Americans won't be surprised by the news, but one item stood out as I closed m eyes last night.

Why haven't we or why aren't we hearing anything about the Trump Inc.s CFO? You know, the officer named by Michael Cohen in the now famous: "we gotta pay her off," audio via Cohen's attorney. The answer follows after the following CNN segment.

Well, it appears CFO Weisselberg was busy speaking with authorities on a plea agreement.

While Trump seeks lifeboats from his sinking ship, I wonder if he will allow his offspring to climb in the lifeboats before him.

Also while Trump wallows in what now seems tsunami legal entanglements, it appears another Republican is looking to save his legal skin via throwing his wife under the bus.
One last point. Didn't Donald Trump refer to Don Lemon as "dumb?"

As Trump's world Turns: Paris Dennard Suspended From CNN?

A few days ago Donald Trump apparently watched a CNN segment in which one of his more visible CNN presstitutes dueled with noted former CIA official Phil Mudd. The segment was staged by CNN producers around Trump's summary withdrawal of the Security Clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan. Trump's reason some yanking Brenan's clearance? The reason is nothing shy of the acts of a totalitarian dictator angry because an underlining defied his wishes.  Brenan has been a longstanding critic of Trump, and Brenan's recent criticism pushed the US version of "V" Putin over the edge.  Clearance yanked.

CBS News August 16, 2018
Excerpt

"I call it the rigged witch hunt, (it) is a sham," Mr. Mr. Trump told the Journal, which posted its story on its website Wednesday night. "And these people led it!"

He added: "So I think it's something that had to be done."

That connection was not in a statement issued earlier Wednesday in which Mr. Trump denounced Brennan's criticism of him and spoke anxiously of "the risks posed by his erratic conduct and behavior." The president said he was fulfilling his "constitutional responsibility to protect the nation's classified information."

Mr. Trump also threatened to yank the clearances of a handful of individuals, including former top intelligence and law enforcement officials, as well as a current member of the Justice Department. All are critics of the president or are people he appears to believe are against him.
WASHINGTON -- President Trump abruptly revoked the security clearance of ex-CIA Director John Brennan, an unprecedented act of retribution against a heavily critical former top U.S. official. Later, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Trump drew a direct connection between his decision and the Russia investigation, citing Brennan as among those he held responsible for the probe.

"I call it the rigged witch hunt, (it) is a sham," Mr. Mr. Trump told the Journal, which posted its story on its website Wednesday night. "And these people led it!"

The shortened version of Dennard Vs. Mudd. The gall of a paid presstitute who probably has no record of service to the defense of the United States dared insinuate security clearances should be taken from inactive patriots who earn money via public appearances.

Typically Trump.

If the two had been in the same room, I suspect Dennard would have suffered an eyeglass misplacement accompanied by significant bruising and body realignment.

Trump apparently felt the interchange was a right for an opportunity to tickle the psyches of his Twitter supporters.

Just watched former Intelligence Official Phillip Mudd become totally unglued and weird while debating wonderful @PARISDENNARD over Brennan’s Security Clearance. Dennard destroyed him but Mudd is in no mental condition to have such a Clearance. Should be REVOKED?
Everything from Trump is a kiss of death. As of today, Dennard has been suspended from his CNN contributor role based on allegations of sexual harassment. Reports are Dennard was fired from the university staff based on his inappropriate acts towards a former student.

As Trump's World Turns: The Corrupt, The Felons, The News Makers, And The Swamp

A  Culture of Corruption

Image may contain: 6 people, text

First 30-seconds of Fox News, Hannity, and GOP Operative Newt Gingrich. Yes, Manafort (the felon) helped get Trump elected.

Alas.....

If you were raised without ever hearing the following you certainly were not raised in the United States:

" Birds of a feather flock together."

Allow me to apply that old adage to Trumpism.  I will do so with a couple of questions.

Do you believe it is possible for Trump to literally have surrounded himself with sleazy, fraudulent, deceitful and deplorable characters without also having an inner core which touches into an underbelly of life in the US?
Does it in any way surprise you the first two members of the GOP House to openly support Trump for president face charges from the strong arm of US Law?

If the questions don't point to a sebaceous cyst Trump voters and the nation's approximately 90 too 100 million nonvoters failed to consider, think what follows.

All of that said, let's visit with Trump's record-breaking and historic August 21, 2018.

CNN Cohen Pleads Guilty.  Note the 50-second mark of the following video.

......'his co-conspirator and/or his aider and abetter' was the President. Actually, the co-conspirator was the candidate for President on the Republican ticket; Cohen's one of three clients: Donald J. Trump.

All The President's Men

With the hour in a court in Virginia, Trump's former campaign chair, Paul Manafort, was receiving the verdicts of his 18 count court case.

The following CNN video is our choice to encapsulate the essence of Trump's day int eh swamp. The video again touches on Cohen' plea while offering a noteworthy report of the Manafort guilty verdicts. We also find the video a good choice as we consider Trump's August 21, day in the swamp and ...All The President's Men (to date).

Our intent was to quickly with video deal with yesterday's historic day in Trump's world. A complete review of yesterday should also include touching on yet another Republicans caught up in felonious acts regarding campaign funds.

The second Congressman to openly support Trump for president has been charged along with his wife.  The SWAMP......

Felonious members of Congress aside, it is literally unfathomable the number and scope of Trump's political apparatus who are being scrutinized or charged with crimes.  In addition, we have members of his cabinet who have been or are under investigation for misuse and abuse of their cabinet positions. And we have a literal cadre of Trump talking heads all over cable news (especially CNN and Fox News) spewing Trump propaganda which could rival that of Hitler's Joseph Goebbels.

Watch as CNN's Anderson Copper challenges the talking-point spewing Rick "BLAH PeopleSantorum, linked here.

Let's close with a view worthy segment from Don Lemon's CNN Tonight.

One more. I know you have to get back to work, but consider Lemon's "All The President's Lies

"......Only the best."

As Trump's World Turns: Black Monthly Jobs Numbers ("Fake News")

Defending Against Alleged Use Of "N" World Leads To Press Sec'y SNAFU

Watch and listen as the White House Communications department either shows its level of utter incompetence, or the communications operatives sought to pepper its supporters and uninformed independents with false jobs numbers. The numbers feed to the Press Corp via Press Secretary Sanders were on first hearing farcically inaccurate while defying logic.

The numbers Sanders spewed were offered to offset allegations Trump is on tape using the "N" Word. Why would a denial of use of a guttural disparaging word require staking the platform with comments to assuage (allay or palliate) the psyches of listeners? The effort failed miserably and in accordance with other serious Trump Administration communications SNAFU.

We offer the full segment (question and response) from the CNN reporter, as well as a shortened version for additional clarity.  What follows adds to the reality of Trump's talking heads reaching back to the previous administration for punching bag comparisons.

Within mere hours Sanders appeared on Twitter to apologize for issuing "fake news."

Correction from today’s briefing: Jobs numbers for Pres Trump and Pres Obama were correct, but the time frame for Pres Obama wasn’t. I’m sorry for the mistake, but no apologies for the 700,000 jobs for African Americans created under President Trump

As we fold yet another episode of Trump "fake news" into US History it is important to recall and remember a key point. Trump recently hired a former Fox News executive, Bill Shine, to run his communications Department and serve as an adviser. As a Fox News top executive, we posit information from the White House will take on edges which fuzzy reality so much, we can expect more such apologies. While the Trump team disdains the apology, the words are unavoidable when issued to address failures in Communications 101 (check and recheck reportable data when possible). If the data is unverifiable, do not use the data.

But, in the Fox News world, it is much more easy and effective to as for forgiveness then pass on an opportunity to pepper viewers with false reports.

Market Watch published a piece this past April which effectively shows Shine's former network has issues with bias and reliable reporting.  Excellent read but includes one chart which requires a bit of discernment (the word use triangle).

Fox News is less trusted than CNN and MSNBC, Fox News graphic shows

Shouldn't the nation expect better from the White House?

As Trump's World Turns: 45's Lies Snares Junior (Fake News?)

We introduce the most recent example of a Trump landmine which has tripped his meandering, facilitating and information-deprived eldest son.

On Augst 5th, Trump The Elder went here with a Tweet.

Presidential Approval numbers are very good - strong economy, military and just about everything else. Better numbers than Obama at this point, by far. We are winning on just about every front and for that reason there will not be a Blue Wave, but there might be a Red Wave!
On Monday of this week (August 7th), CNN ran a segment about presidential approval ratings during the same period of the Trump and Obama Presdiencies.

For those who didn't view the CNN segment, here is a screenshot image of the original video clip. Note the first line of the image: Job Approval. The screenshot clearly shows Trump’s most recent 40% approval rating, Vs. former president Barack Obama’s 45 percent approval.

Notice the screenshot also shows a comparison of Trump Vs Obama's unemployment rate at the same time in their administrators.  Question for you.

How could Trump have an unemployment rate at below four percent if Obama's diligent efforts to reduce the rate down from a high of close to 11% hadn't transpired?  Take a look.

Image result for unemployment rate under obama

The intelligent reader can see the chart shows a continuation of the Obama Era stimulus economic inoculation.

Earlier today The Hill ran a 33-second video regarding Donald Trump Jr.'s Keystone Cop post of a photoshopped CNN poll image: linked here.

Now take a closer look or two looks.  It appears Junior is a nut which fell directly under the tree considering all things Donald Trump including his total ridiculous use of the social media outlet.

Oh, I digress..... and, momentarily forgot, Trump told the Kansas City VFW chapter what they are seeing in the news is not what is happening

Let's get back to Trump Jr.'s bush league ad crass social media post. We visit with a Twitter account which captures Junior's kindergarten efforts to feed Trump's base.

Donald Trump Jr shared a laughably obvious photo shopped picture showing his dad at 50% approval.
Here we have yet another case of Donald Trump's mouth leading his prime administration and family supporters and staffers into a slaughterhouse called "credible media" and a place with breakout rooms called accurate and responsible reporting. A place with an exit door labeled: No "Fake News".  Just outside that exit door?

Image result for fox news toilet heads

Along with anything or any information from Trump and company.

How can people who support Trump or people who tolerate Trump buy into his "fake news" mantra?

Update: speaking of Junior. ow about the reality of his new lady friend and her shared lack of veracity.
