Federal Wildlife Refugee Invaders Update: Bundy Family Cannot Accept Their Crimes

A TV writer and producer once wrote. " If you cannot do the time, don't do the crime!"

Mike Victor

The feds are playing hard ball with these terrorists. It's about time.

" The rightwing activists ... are all accused of using “force, intimidation and threats” to conspire against and impede government officials – a federal felony offense that carries a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

"But on Wednesday, prosecutors unveiled a slew of new charges against 19 of the 25 defendants in the case – an indication that the federal government plans to aggressively target the protesters, some of whom could face more than 20 years in prison if convicted of all the offenses."

For their attempts to intimidate, harass, and embarrass the federal government, the ringleaders could spend the rest of their life in prison... a federal prison.
Oh the irony.

The rightwing activists are all accused of using ‘force, intimidation and threats’ to conspire against and impede government officials – a federal felony offense

Mike Vicor's comments are point-on. But, let';s take the matter a few steps further.

In a major coincidence, Talking Points Memo recently ran a piece regarding the elder Bundy sibling's adjustment to incarceration.
Ammon Bundy via the lessons of his father Cliven Bundy obviously was raised without attention to responsibility. The responsibility that includes acceptance of wrongs, promulgation of that which is right, compliance with the law and use of civil measures to voice grievances. Ammon feels the shooting was not justified even when faced with overwhelming evidence of Finicum's terminal miscalculations. He fled the Oregon State Police (and FBI) detention, attempted to run a road block and exited his vehicle and eventually reaching for a pocket firearm.

We published the following video segments yesterday. The video segments show irrefutable evidence of Finicum's deadly decisions. The second video segment is a full unedited segment and runs a full 29 minutes.

First,  we post an Oregon Live 30 second slow-motion version of Finicum after exiting his truck and as he clearly reached for a weapon in his left pants pocket

The full unedited (except for aircraft identifier redaction) version

We live in a society with law enforcement which will subdue detainees or suspects via any means. Our experiences are such many times their arrest measures appear as heavy-handed and, or abusive. Finicum seemed to have been a current events and media fanatic. He must surely have witnessed the almost weekly cases of cop abuse in black communities. He surely saw the video of the New Mexico cops shoot a mentally challenged man numerous times without life-threatening provocation. What offered Finiucm and his band of anarchist the opportunity to feel they would not be treated similarly? This is especially true after the Bundy's publicly backed down BLM agents within the past two years.

Before we end this piece, know there is much more regarding the US anarchists and their brushes with US law. American News X has compiled a list of charges against the wildlife refuge anarchists.

If my memory serves me, Cliven Bundy was arrested at an airport in Oregon as he journeyed to visited his sons while incarcerated.

Cliven Bundy: Tax Evasion, Anarchy, Philosopher On The African-American Experience

Do you recall Cliven Bundy's time of fame before hungry cameras and reporters charged with getting the nation's number one tax dodger (that we know of) to speak publicly? despite Bundy's document free loading and "public taking", he went here about Mexicans and African-Americans.

Yes, black people might have been better off under the oppressive life of slavery and picking cotton. Of course, Bundy's racism isn't what landed him in US custody. Let's follow a Daily Kos piece with an update on Bundy's legal battles, post his arrest.

The Daily Kos

34 page doc just slams Cliven Bundy in court; Bundy denied bail

I suppose these were peaceful campers, too.

Holy mole. I just got done reading this and all I can say is that Cliven is truly in some deep, deep poo.

2-16-16 Doc 4 - U.S.A. v CLIVEN BUNDY - USA Detention Memorandum for Cliven Bundy

2016-02-16 4 0 Memorandum in Support of Motion by USA as to Cliven D. Bundy (Styled as Memorandum in Support of Motion for Pretrial Detention) (Gorder, Charles) (Entered: 02/16/2016) 2016-02-16 14:28:44

As you may know, Cliven is in court today regarding his potential for release (on bail). After reading the entire 34 pages, all I can say is dude, congratulations. You are so incredibly screwed.

Here are a few excerpts:

Bundy is lawless and violent. He does not recognize federal courts – claiming they are illegitimate – does not recognize federal law, refuses to obey federal court orders, has already used force and violence against federal law enforcement officers while they were enforcing federal court orders, nearly causing catastrophic loss of life or injury to others. He has pledged to do so again in the future to keep federal law enforcement officers from enforcing the law against him. As of the date of this hearing, he continues to violate federal court orders and continues to possess the proceeds of his illegal activities.

Bundy is currently charged with crimes of violence including using and brandishing firearms in connection with crimes of violence under Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c). As such, the Bail Reform Act presumes that there areno conditions or combination of conditions that will ensure the safety of the community. 18 U.S.C. § 3142(e)(3)(B). Here, no evidence has been adduced during the investigation of the instant charges that even remotely hints at a rebuttal to that presumption. In fact, all the evidence suggests that Bundy will continue to act lawlessly, will not abide by court orders, and will use violence to ensure that federal laws are not enforced as to him.

Lawless? Violent? Gee, ya think?

Bundy, 69, is a long-time resident of Bunkerville, Nevada, living on 160 acres of land in a very rural and sparsely-populated area of the state. ...

Bundy Ranch is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of federal public lands commonly referred to as the Gold Butte area (and includes an area formerly known as the Bunkerville Allotment). Bundy uses that entire range of land to graze his cattle unlawfully. (my emphasis)

Real cattlemen probably cringe when reading this:

While Bundy claims he is a cattle rancher, his ranching operation – to the extent it can be called that – is unconventional if not bizarre. Rather than manage and control his cattle, he lets them run wild on the public lands with little, if any, human interaction until such time when he traps them and hauls them off to be sold or slaughtered for his own consumption. He does not vaccinate or treat his cattle for disease; does not employ cowboys to control and herd them; does not manage or control breeding; has no knowledge of where all the cattle are located at any given time; rarely brands them before he captures them; and has to bait the minto traps in order to gather them.

At the time of the events giving rise to the charges, Bundy’s cattle numbered over 1,000 head, straying as far as 50 miles from his ranch and into the Lake Mead National Recreation Area (“LMNRA”), getting stuck in mud, wandering onto golf courses, straying onto the freeway (causing accidents on occasion) – foraging aimlessly and wildly, roaming in small groups over hundreds of thousands of acres of federal lands that exist for the use of the general public for many other types of commercial and recreational uses such as camping, hunting, and hiking.

As for Cliven’s belief that his Second Amendment rights protect his First Amendment rights:

As the Court knows, it is a violation of federal law to use a firearm to assault, interfere with or intimidate a federal law enforcement officer. And contrary to the fiction recited by Bundy and his Followers to others, including children, there is no First or Second Amendment right or other right recognized in the law anywhere that gives anyone the right to use or carry, let alone brandish, raise or point, a firearm in order to assault, intimidate, interfere with or prevent a federal law enforcement officer from performing his or her duties – whether one thinks the officer is acting constitutionally or not. While that should be obvious to any law abiding citizen, Bundy espouses to the contrary.

Really, this is the most revealing thing I have read to date, including instances of private people being stopped and questioned on public roads, etc. by his sons or his “crew”.

It paints a picture of a wild west that probably didn’t exist even back in the days of the wild west.

Um, not your sagebrush, buddy.

For those of us in the west who so badly wanted to see Cliven charged and the lands gathered back for public use, this will be the trial of the decade. And for the ten ranchers in Utah that recently agreed to tear up their BLM contracts, the single rancher in New Mexico that did likewise, and the very recent bunch in Idaho likewise, perhaps this may put that notion on pause. What Bundy has asked them to do is, basically, endanger their livelihoods and their family’s safety under guise of faux constitutionality and greed.

Yes, we waited a while for this, grew impatient and sometimes demanded. But now we will watch the fruit of that lapse of time in terms of not only what he did in April of 2014, but subsequent.

The American people own these lands and value them. We want them back. They have been so seriously overgrazed it will take decades for them to return to a good natural state, if they can even do that.

As soon as I hear the court decision I will update the story.

UPDATE: Cliven Bundy denied bail. I am looking for a good story. Hat tip to PJEvans.
UPDATE 2: Here is an OPB article on the court decision to hold Bundy over to trial.

UPDATE 3: Oregon Live also has a story up on this, here.

Paul and Bundy: Tax Evasion, Sedition Or Tales Of The Negro?

Re Post from Addicting Info

Before the AddictingInfo piece with quotes from Cliven Bundy regarding his visit with Rand Paul, we will restate a couple of non-negotiable points about Paul.

Rand Paul is a Chameleon...and he knows it.

He speaks to his audience without regard for
veracity and honesty, thus he changes his colors to suit the moment.
Next, Paul is an admitted liar and manipulator who did not hesitate in 2013 to speak of mis-information as a use utility.

Paul's visit to Nevada earlier in the week was marked with a well noted 45 minute meeting with the nation's number one tax evader.  Well, let's say number one evader who doesn't employ high priced overseas tax shelters.  Paul's visit with the man who will not hesitate to "tell you about the Negro," was perplexing until Bundy started to talk.  It is important to recallv Rand Paul traipsed through a series of phony visits in the black community a couple of years ago.  He has also spoken false prophecy about the need for his part to become more "concerned" about the African-American Community.

The Chameleon in Paul is ever-present and only disguised by media that refuse to acknowledge Paul's erratic inconsistencies.  Why would Paul speak with a man who is obviously devoid of any intellect and commons sense, other than to leverage the notoriety of Bundy among people who hate the US government and people who probably harbor copious levels of bias against people of color? Did Paul not care that Bundy would reveal the essence of their meeting? Along that line, it isn't outside the realm of possibility Paul left the message with the verbose Bundy to garner the very revelation Bundy is now sharing: a message to those who harbor thought of sedition, militia and yes racist who support Bundy.

Cliven Bundy Claims Rand Paul Promised Him As President He’d Make Nevada A ‘Sovereign State’

AUTHOR JULY 3, 2015 1:44 PM
In politics, your reputation is often about the company you keep, and for Sen. Rand Paul, that company is noxious enough to leave any reputation in tatters.
As part of his desperate bid to lift his sagging poll numbers and get recognition as a “legitimate” Republican candidate, Paul seems to have gambled on the power of the fringe far-right to bring him the votes. Who better to help appeal to that fringe than the king himself: defiantly criminal rancher Cliven Bundy.
As you may recall, Bundy kickstarted a media circus last year when he boldly refused to pay the over $1 million he owes the United States government for illegally using public lands for grazing over the course of decades and turned the issue into something about “freedom.” (He never could quite articulate what that issue might be.)
Conservatives loved him. Fox News sang his praises. They remained giddy about Bundy even after he began assembling a veritable right-wing militia at his ranch, which could be seen pointing their AR-15s at federal employees sent in to speak with Bundy and enforce the law. They labeled him a hero… right up until he started giving interviews that revealed him to be a virulently racist, possibly mentally unstable, old man who was standing less for “freedom” and more for “personal profit.”
And Bundy hasn’t really changed in the ensuing months. He doubled down on the idea that he knows a thing or two about black people. He’s quoted in The Guardian as saying:
“He said he had not personally heard any complaints from ethnic minority groups. ‘I’ve never had a black person or a brown person ever say anything bad about me.’
“Then he proceeded to make fresh contentious comments, first by repeating the comparison between slavery and welfare dependence: ‘Receiving welfare and housing – is that a sense of slavery when you get caught up in that and can’t get out of it for generations? They don’t have freedom.’”
Apparently, this is the guy Paul wants to be associated with. And according to Bundy, he was even willing to secretly make the rancher certain promises about how great things would be for, say, criminal ranchers, if he were elected president. Bundy told reporters that Paul had personally promised to make Nevada a “sovereign state” that wouldn’t be beholden to federal laws.
“Bundy said Paul told him: ‘If I was president of the United States, Nevada would have their sovereignty,’ Bundy told KNPR’s State of Nevada program.
“He said, ‘One of your biggest problems is getting Nevada to recognize its sovereignty and to stand up for its sovereignty,’ Bundy also said. ‘He said he would turn over the jurisdiction authority and allow the state of Nevada to act like a sovereign state. He said it would be up to we the people to govern ourselves.'”
Presumably he meant the state could ignore things like federal enforcement of gay marriage, Roe v. Wade, and of course, grazing fees on federally protected lands.
The problem with this promise, if Paul indeed made it, is that it is absolutely unconstitutional and doesn’t just skirt the line of insurrection, it jumps right over it. Perhaps Paul doesn’t remember, but the United States fought a Civil War when a few states tried to say the exact same thing a while ago. Part of being a member of the United States means you don’t get to choose which federal laws your state has to abide by, even if you personally disagree with them.
Paul knows all this. He’s not stupid. So why would he have such a friendly meeting with a man who seems to want to overturn some of the very bedrock of the country’s system of governance so he can graze his cattle for free?
The answer is simple: pandering.
Paul’s spokesperson claimed he hadn’t spoken to anyone for as long as Bundy claimed to have talked to him, although they also didn’t deny that the two met, either. It’s likely that Paul was hoping his meeting with Bundy would go unnoticed in the press and his comments or nods of agreement with Bundy would slip through the cracks. Instead, Paul looks like at best a candidate who openly admits to not understanding the job he’s running for and at worst sympathetic to a wacko like Cliven Bundy, a racist criminal with dangerous ties to radical right-wing militia groups. Neither is a great look for a man who thinks he’ll be president one day.
Editor’s note: At some point, Paul’s campaign will almost certainly try to claim that he didn’t understand what “sovereignty” means to Sovereign Citizens. Since the SC movement is quite taken with Paul’s father, Ron, and is closely associated with the Libertarian movement Rand claims to represent, this would be absolute 100% bullshit

Rand Paul Meets With Cliven Bundy....WHY? Motive Revealed

Freak Out Nation explores the Paul and Bundy meeting. Did Paul meet with the tax evader Bundy as an emissary of the Kochs?

In any case, Paul took his "state's rights" Libertarian gibberish to the point of cognitive constipation. According to Paul, states should have final say on land issues, animal issues and other Bundy related items. Is it possible someone in the audience would have asked Paul about a scenario where one state legalizes the killing of the Bald Eagle and a neighboring states adheres to strict laws prohibiting such killing?

Rand Paul is an apple that did not fall far from the DNA of his father's tree.
Rand Paul, one of the eleventy thousand GOP presidential candidates, is reaching out for the white moocher vote. The Kentucky Senator met with Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher whose refusal to pay his bills resulted in a a heavily-armed standoff against federal agents. Bundy is also known for making racist remarks, so there's that reaching out…

Rand Paul Shared A Stage With Cliven Bundy

So you recall Cliven Bundy? Did he make you proud as am American regarding his tax evasion defiance of federal officials? Probably so. Did he endear pride as he spoke of black people and "Mexicans?" We hope not, but for some of you we unfortunately know you relished his comments and may share his racism and bigotry neatly bundled as "White Supremacy and Privilege."

Bundy remarks as report by of all media: The Blaze. I believe the Blaze is Glenn Becks internet conservative rag.

The New York Times first reported the controversial comments.
“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” Bundy said Saturday, according to the Times, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.”
“And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he continued. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”
While a bit hard to hear and discern at the 59 second mark of the following video Bundy's self-professed knowledge of "the Negro" ensues. via @YouTube

We will make short work of this screed.

Rand Paul supporters should address their candidate very visible stage sharing with Cliven Bundy. It is also reported that Paul met privately with the tax evading racist after the stage performance.

Rand Paul aspires to be president of the United States. Yet, he follows a path previously traveled by his father, who is by all measures a closet racist with a history of publication of a newsletter that was one of the most vile of racists documents in US History.

While Paul "the Younger" has not shown a propensity to meet publicly with white supremacist who affiliate with the Ku Klux Klan and other hate groups, Paul "the Elder" has done so and is reported to continue such associations.

Rand Paul would be president, yet he hob nobs and cohorts with a known and very public tax evader who is by all measures a racist.

Monday, April 13, 2015

Rand Paul told New Hampshire audience the following: ..."fight for your right to be left alone." Wonder if he feels the same about Cliven Bundy's refusal to pay land taxes and his defiant stand against efforts to collect said taxes?

GOP Problem alert!

As CNN's Dana Bash interviews GOP presidential aspirant, Rand Paul, a response to a question about gay marriage drew a conspicuously troublesome response. Paul used that favored GOP word: "states."

States Rights is mere code for government differentiation the leads to discrimination. Recall the "States" during the Civil Rights Era of the 60s. Imagine states with legislatures ruled by Koch Brothers dark money with politicians subservient to the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).

"Well, no, the states will end up making the decisions on these things," Paul replied. "I think there's a religious connotation to this. I also believe people ought to be treated fairly under the law. I see why if the marriage contract conveys certain things, that if you want to marry another woman, you can do that and have a contract. But the thing is that the religious connotation of marriage that has been going on for thousands of years, I still want to preserve that."

Paul has gone on record in the past with his views that private business owners should not be forced to serve or provide accommodation to all who wish to patron the establishment.

GOP Problem alert!

If the US (and voters) allows states to call the shots on fair and balanced life in the nation, our quality of life will deteriorate like a fizzled-out Alka Seltzer (Tm). We are seeing state legislatures reversing voters election preferences regarding LGBT Rights. We are seeing cases in a couple of states where legislators are forbid from using the words "Climate change." How about the reality of GOP governed states that are refusing life sustaining medical care via the ACA based in pure political obstruction?

Paul's continued affinity for states rights and the ironclad GOP lock-step commitment to state's rights spells doom for a comprehensive fair, balanced and equal nation under the law.

The Lady Who Would Call You A "Nigger"

...Yet she feigns "Not a racist!"

The Raw Story has published a more detailed story about the NY State "Nasty Nigger" barker!

As with Donald Sterling (who did not use the "N" Word with his concubine) and Cliven Bundy (who also avoided the word) the NY shopper declares that she really is not a racist.

Well, we are finding more and more whites who self-perceive as non-racist. Yet they openly use the most vile words to image their (THEIR) thoughts.

Modern Day "Slavery By Another Name" Captured on Cell Phone! (Racism, Servitude, And White Privilege)

I share for all who think our nation has moved well away from Jim Crow. For those who are naive enough to not recognize "white privilege" is prevalent in our society, think much more and much deeper. It is a close as any boss raised to hate and disrespect based on skin color and power over the powerless.

Do you recall this?

“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.

“And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”

Yes, of course, Fox News hero, racist and tax evader, Cliven Bundy.
While people such as Bundy and the example you are about to hear are scorned by the majority of Americans, those same Americans should recognize ours is not a world cleared of racism. In fact, the boss in the following video should have charges filed against him for violation of Civil Rights "accommodation" Law, Yet, he will escape such scrutiny and fall in that real of "states rights" and libertarian dogma so prevalent on the polio/social Right

Bundy Declares Himself Even Farther To The Right!

Wonder if he still has an eye on "The Negro?"

Cliven Bundy leaves GOP to join fringe party that wants to reverse laws that offend God (via Raw Story )
After his GOP backers largely abandoned him, scofflaw rancher Cliven Bundy has left the Republican Party. Bundy, who remains embroiled in a dispute federal government over grazing rights on federal land, signed forms Friday night with his wife, Carol…

Trevor LaFuci's Open Letter To Bill O'Reilly (And To Millions Who Quietly Share His Ideology)

White Privilege....."Who Da Cap Fit, Let Dem Wear it."  Robert Nesta (Bob) Marley

Obama the "N" Word!Robert Copeland, New Hampshire Police Commissioner (Resigned)
"I'm a Jew. Jews help each other. Black People don't do that."Donald Sterling, LA Clipper's Owner, Delusional Jewish Real Estate Mogul, "Light Skinned Black Woman Lust Machine/Sugar Daddy"
"...let me tell you what I know about the Negro."Cliven Bundy, Tax Evader, Millionaire cattle rancher, Feels Negores did not learn to pick cotton, anarcho-terrorist leader
"White Santa; White Jesus," privilege denier, Muslims on an airplaneFox News,
Conservative Media Network, GOP Communication Department, Right-Wing social Leader, and purveyor of racial intolerance

All the men in this piece, with an exception for one who is obviously different, have three things in common. Maybe four things, but certainly three things are shared like brothers of the cloth.

Each is without about deep conservative republicans. Each is a high-end baby boomer. Each has some degree of heritage that may have provided an upper hand as a platform to catapulting to their millionaire status. Each is a white male with all requisite privilege, often referred to as "white privilege."

Some celebrate their privilege: Tal Fortgang, Princeton University freshman. Yes, a few months beyond high school!

Pat Buchanan the day after President Obama won his second term as the 44th President of the United States of America:

The Daily Currant
"...the former Nixon advisor was more explicit on the G. Gordon Liddy Show this morning. When asked for his reaction to Obama's victory, Buchanan replied brazenly:
"White America died last night. Obama's reelection killed it. Our 200 plus year history as a Western nation is over. We're a Socialist Latin American country now. Venezuela without the oil."
Stunned by his clear racisim, Liddy tried to walk his guest back from the ledge:
"With what you just said right there...You seem to imply that white people are better than other people. That's not really what you're saying is it?"
"Of course that's what I'm saying," Buchanan replied "Isn't it obvious? Anything worth doing on this Earth was done first by white people."
Deep down Americans either.....
...know white privilege and abhor it,
...know white privilege and are indifferent,
...or know white privilege and relish its benefits to the person with the "conferred privilege" (while most will never speak as boldly as those depicted in this piece).

There are no other options.  Well, you might ask, as if you are not aware: "What is white privilege?"

White privilege (or white skin privilege) refers to the set of societal privileges that white people benefit from beyond those commonly experienced by people of color in the same social, political, or economic spaces (nation, community, workplace, income, etc.).[note 1][neutrality is disputed] The term denotes both obvious and less obvious unspoken advantages that white persons may not recognize they have, which distinguishes it from overt bias or prejudice.[1] These include cultural affirmations of one's own worth; presumed greater social status; and freedom to move, buy, work, play, and speak freely.[2] The concept of white privilege also implies the right to assume the universality of one's own experiences, marking others as different or exceptional while perceiving oneself as normal.[3][4] It can be compared to and/or combined with the concept of male privilege.
And, there exist a select group of Americans who is highly compensated for service to their political community, and who will argue in denial of "privilege" until their faces turn red. A reality exhibited by each man imaged in the gallery above.

Since this screed has a core nucleus that evolves around an Open Letter to Bill O'Reilly lets move forward after a short video segment. The segment clears identifies O'Reilly and the accommodation McCain as believers of and benefactor of "White Privilege." O'Reilly and John McCain "white privilege" with a slant toward outright bigotry and elitism. Warning: The video quality is far less than high definition.

O'Reilly, Chief Fox News Stooge Stewart Varney, and a Fox News employee frequently called upon to provide "straight guy" fodder for Fox News entertainment of its predominately white viewing audience. No Fox News stooge does it better than Varney. Megyn Kelly serves well as the Fox number two position, but Varney has no equal.

For sake of clarity, I define "Stooge" as, one who appears with top Fox News hosts to provide an accommodating tennis-partner like back and forth dialogue and affirmation in support of Fox News entertainment and propaganda.

O'Reilly, Varney and guest and our screed entree.  You will notice total contempt for the guest's point-of-view via Varney and O'Reilly's in studio snickering and contemptuous glee. We can only assume their audience simply loved their comment, glee and insensitivity.
