CNN's Reliable Sources Criticizes Left Vs Right Ebola Coverage

.....But still fails to perform any degree of introspection

Ebola hysteria and inexcusable misinformation broadcast from the Left and the Right.

While I find the Reliable Sources segment "point-on", it is important to recognize CNN is far from the former "Balanced/Neutral" network it once claimed and moniker-ed. Past data show the network "neutral" with a Left lean.  After the hire of Fred Zucker (and probably as a result of strategy to garner or grab viewership from conservative viewers) and the release of the majority of Left leaning hosts and pundits, the network now-a-days has a guest list that its predominate conservative.

The network has moved to the right of center. If you spend a little time researching CNN's broadcast guests, you will quickly see the network books far more "conservative" guests.

A prime example of CNN's overt efforts to move moderately more Right of center manifest a recent segment from Ferguson Missouri.  If the carefully chosen conservative commentator wasn't enough to show CNN's concerted efforts to "go right," the next segment will illustrate my point.  When Fox & Friends producers reach for a black guest, rest assured it is with full confidence of the message from the talking head. (NOTE: If you wonder why not refer to the Fox News talking head as African-American, close scrutiny and attention to detail will yield, black people who cuddle with conservatives have total disdain from the African-American label. For sake of clarity, the black conservative strives to 'differentiate" from the African-American community in every way. Is is their paradigm to differentiate.)

Before making a final point-on the video that follow I remind of the power of the news producer.  The new producer has full authority and responsibility for his/her broadcast, the on-air personality, for the most, part delivers the message with all beauty and a plume. Have you ever noticed the on-air celebrity pausing and sitting quietly while taking instruction from the booth? The booking of Kevin Jackson for commentary on the summary execution of Mike Brown in Ferguson was a matter of corporate/network decision to provide a slant that appeals to conservatives. Is there any other way to view the hire and deployment of Jackson? If you have any remaining doubts about Jackson as a supreme "Differentiator", Google Kevin Jackson on Obama and Bush. Or, you can short -cut the Google search and read excerpts from a piece I published in June 2012.

The Lost Black Man Part II: The Insanity Report (March 2010)

Or try this one....

Newsone.....
Kevin Jackson: ‘America Needs A White Republican President

CNN management knows Kevin Jackson and chooses to employ the "differentiator" for coverage of a murdered black teen.

Point made!. Now, for Brian Stelter's "Red News - Blue News" segment.

http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/10......

The segment was "point-on." However, I continue to question CNN's Reliable Sources model of criticizing news from the Right vs news from the Left while clearly staking-out ground on the political right.  The network has not yet gone Fox News socially right (anti-minority anti-woman anti-LGBT), but it damned well is no longer in a position to avoid staking a color (Red Vs Blue) that shades to the moderate Right.

EBOLA Precautionary Quarantine Violated By NBC Medical Correspondent

Dr. Nancy Snyderman
As we watch US electronic media fizzle-down to the level of junior college Journalism and Broadcast Media 101, the episodes of ratings induced arrogance continues to manifest. The last sentence was an effort to be political correct. A better characterization of violation of protocol is as as follows:  "Elitist Media darling and crew ignore safeguards while placing others at EBOLA risks."

Dr. Nancy Snyderman and crew's quarantine violation after returning to the US from West Africa is a classic example of how infectious chronic diseases slip through safety and regulator cracks. While Right-wing media is actively blaming President Obama for EBOLA in America, no US based network is adequately probing or exploring callousness from the Snyderman crew. As a matter of balance,  MSNBC has also run segments that left me wondering about the newsworthiness of the broadcast.

The Snyderman crew will probably never developed even a trace of the disease. Yet, only CNN, has aired detailed broadcast related to the journalist, or her crew's callousness.

Talking Points Memo continues to explore the Snyderman 'episode' and the publication does so while others have moved on to EBOLA "blame, entertainment and fear" broadcast.

FOX, CNN and EBOLA

Fox News continues its "Tin Hat" coverage of EBOLA.

As part of a piece we published yesterday, the following survey data directly attests to both Fox News and CNN's obsession with imparting the prospect of EBOLA spreading across the United States like this year's Influenza.

Washington Post-ABC News poll

Excerpt
While 65 percent of the respondents say they are concerned about a possible “widespread” U.S. epidemic, nearly 8 in 10 with a high school diploma or less education say they are very or somewhat concerned. Among respondents with advanced degrees, about 4 in 10 say they are concerned. Just over 6 in 10 white respondents say they are concerned, compared with 74 percent of nonwhites. And while majorities of all partisan backgrounds express concern about a U.S. epidemic, Republicans express significantly more worry than Democrats.
Ratings, ratings, ratings! This past Sunday CNN's Candy Crowley relieved John McCain of his standard "drop bombs and attack" President Obama. The announcement of another diagnosis of EBOLA via a nurse in the Dallas area, McCain was allowed (if not encouraged) to attack from another realm.

McCain
"We were told there would never be a case of Ebola in the United States."
— John McCain on Sunday, October 12th, 2014 in comments on CNN's "State of the Union"
McCain

False

Within hours Tampa Bay Times's Poltifiact found McCain's comments a common lie! While we have grown to expect McCain to take position directly opposite President Obama and whine like a spoiled baby (deprived of the US Presidency), CNN and Network News over-booking the erratic Senator is a bit over-the-top. If you need an example as evidence of his penchant for armed interventions, reflect on his crying about US Obama's handling of Putin's threats to Ukraine. Putin, this very week, withdrew Russian troops from the Russian/Ukraine border. The US spent few dollars, and we lost not one troop and received the same results McCain espoused with heavy reliance on bombs and armed threats.

If the networks so relish Obama Derangement John McCain on television every Sunday is a must. Sadly, McCain hasn't been right about one issues since well before is ill-fated 2008 presidential run...with Sarah Palin (a judgement issue in ad of itself).

I digress. Do you ever believe John McCain will get over his humiliating loss to Obama in 2008? End Digress.

MSNBC broadcast certain hosts who occupy moderate amounts of show time on EBOLA, but the network falls well shy of incessant piston-like questioning of guest after guest on "Can it go airborne?"

CNN and Fox at their finest and most frightening and well before Halloween.

CNN  "ESIN" (Excitement Single Issues News) fans the flames in a close race with Fox News.  In fact, Fox May lead with guest insanity. CNN actually wins with EBOLA saturation "Excitement News." Why "ESIN"? Do you recall coverage of Malaysia Airlines MH370 and MH17 airline tragedies? How about CNN on Bergdhal's release? And when such tragedies quiet down or the public moves away for CNN's incessant coverage, the network has its ready-at-the-draw Obama Derangement.

Just before the midterms election a Tea party talking-head opens mouth and utters the "neo-midterm election strategy: EBOLA!

Let's revisit Fox News. It is statistically impossible to have so many Fox News show hosts display complete and utter derangement regarding EBOLA without corporate commitment to "FEAR." Of course, the disease is as dangerous as they come, but Fox News (and the "ESIN" GIANT, CNN) are promulgating a level of fear that boarders on "The sky is falling."

What we offer next is pure racist. But, racism become fashionable in the US.

EBOLA: Fear And Loathing New GOP Shtick

fear

We start with the Neo-American King of Racism, Larry Klayman.  Klayman so hates an African-American in the White House he doesn't bother to even cloak his racism.

Klayman: Obama Must Be 'Taken Alive' For Bringing Ebola To America To Afflict White People

SUBMITTED BY Brian Tashman on Tuesday, 10/14/2014 10:40 am
Conservative legal activist Larry Klayman has filed a lawsuit against President Obama for “providing material support and aid to international terrorism and facilitating terrorism” by not implementing a travel ban on people from countries facing an Ebola outbreak.
Health experts have advised against enacting a travel ban, explaining that such a move might actually increase the risk of an outbreak, but Klayman has his own idea as to why the Obama administration hasn’t enacted a ban: anti-white racism.
Klayman writes in his weekly column that “Obama has favored his African brothers over the rest of us by allowing them free entry into this country” and “relegating whites and others who are not black or Muslim to the back of the bus has become an invidious form of reverse discrimination. This was not right when blacks were subjected to this treatment, and it is not right now – particularly given its deadly implications.”

Does Klayman have a scientific explanation of how Oabma's strategy to infest white people with Ebola will be deployed without real prospect of infesting African- Americans, Latinos, Asians and Original First Nation native Americans?

Would you like to see the impetus behind the recent surge in conservative media oozing over Ebola.

EBOLA AND THE GOP. A History Of Budget Cuts And Social Indifference

Republicans Kill

While laying it on Obama!

Do you recall the early days of Aids in America?  SF Gate reminds of a time of conservative bigotry and callousness we are seeing repeated today.

After many years of disparaging remarks about his lack of action in fighting Aids and well after his friend Rock Hudson succumbed to the disease, Reagan again proved the fallacy of GOP leadership. He validated he "was wrong" in a 31 second video spot.

As the GOP continues to throw Reagan's legacy in our faces as the "model" of modern conservatism, I am reminded of the veracity and accuracy of their Reagan worship. He administered one of the most inept, corrupt times in DC and damaging administrations in the 21st Century.

The Republican Party  continues to reach the minds and cognitive decision making process of millions. Despite overwhelming evidence of GOP inability to effectively lead a nation, they win elections.

They Kill!

Republican Cuts Kill

‘Republican Cuts Kill,’ which was produced by the Agenda Project Action Fund, mixes disturbing footage of the Ebola outbreak—including images of body bags, hazmat suits, and corpses—with clips of Mitch McConnell, Pat Roberts, Rand Paul, and Republicans in some of the most competitive races around the country demanding more spending cuts. The demand for cuts is juxtaposed against testimony from top CDC and NIH officials detailing how budget cuts substantially hampered their ability to address the crisis.

Benghazi

CNN's former host Soledad O'Brien on Benghazi security cuts. CNN no longer develops and broadcast such cutting interviews. It should is also important to point out O'Brien was one of the first host to lose a contract with the network after Fred Zucker took over network leadership and decidedly move the network far right of center.

Joe Biden hit Pay Ryan with similar disdain during the 2012 VP debate. Also note the standard GOP drink of water when the going gets tough.

Ebola: "It's Here."

"It's Here!"

"Witch Doctor"

"Traditional Medical Care"

Fox News draws the attention of CNN's Reliable Sources, Brian Steltar's and production team.

Fear, loathing and racism, the hallmark of Fox News and a testament its viewers. Viewers who not only tune-in for daily does of various concoctions of derangement, viewers who tolerate and possible relish the undercurrents of racism that permeates and infiltrates Fox News as a media or entertainment center.

Brain Steltar and guest Miles O'Brien explore the dark passages of Fox News as network "Fear Bringer."

For expediency and out of respect for our many screeds on Fox News, I will simply end the piece here.

When your resume includes this, should we really expect more?

Not a Fox News set image
Competent minds and purveyors of media (even opines) do not have to go there. But, ultimately the lowest level of denominator is the viewer who seeks or tolerates such mindless libido enticement laced propaganda.
