"Most churches are corporate persons."; "Most corporations are corporate persons."

Clear evidence some conservative millennials
also harbor bigotry (and probably its vile cousin racism)

"Most churches are corporate persons?"  Why then are churches free of a tax burden.

"Most corporations are corporate persons."

Really, why then when a corporation produces a product or service that results in a consumer's death the management of that company doesn't go on trial for a felony murder. Rarely happens!

Watch Ed Schultz deal with a robotic misinformation laden Republican demagogue.

And, that is the only way to deal with a robot who has a mission. And, the mission he fulfills has been soiled by the very Governor who signed the repressive law.  Let, there be no mistake the Indiana law was not the same as the federal RFRA law and it was factually more potential repressive than other Red State religious freedom laws and non-Red States with such laws.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Eric Cantor From House Leader To Nascent Wall Street Functionary

He Can Now Hear members of Congress on Behalf of Wall Street !% (ers)
It should have been clear to all, especially voters in Virginia's 7th District, Eric Cantor was not working to become a leader of the House based on his "love of country." Cantor from day one appeared to approach his work as that of a self-serving Silas Marner, who's every move gave him opportunity to snuggle with Wall Street lobbyist and money-wielders. In fact, it was reported Cantor was in New York City at a "give em steak" dinner with a group of lobbyist as his primary defeat rolled across our television sets.

Cantor reacted to his primary defeat with typical GOP bravado while spewing nation killing and misguided GOP Ideology: Election night concession and resignation from House leadership.

Cantor's concession speech was full of false bravado, mis-guided ideology, and fiscal incompetence. As you read excerpts from Cantor's concession speech, consider the veracity of his remarks. Also consider

Concession comments:
Excerpts
NOW, SERVING AS THE SEVENTH DISTRICT CONGRESSMAN AND HAVING THE PRIVILEGE TO BE MAJORITY LEADER HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HIGHEST HONORS OF MY LIFE. AND, WHAT I SET OUT TO DO AND WHAT THE AGENDA I HAVE ALWAYS SAID WE ARE ABOUT IS WE WANT TO GREAT A VIRGINIA AND AMERICA THAT WORKS FOR EVERYBODY.
WE NEED TO FOCUS OUR EFFORTS AS CONSERVATIVES, AS REPUBLICANS ON PUTTING FORTH OUR CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS SO THAT THEY CAN HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEMS FOR SO MANY WORKING MIDDLE-CLASS FAMILIES THAT MAY NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY THAT WE HAVE. WE CAN ALSO PUT OUR SOLUTIONS TO WORK FOR THE MULTIPLE NORMAL --
WHAT IT SAYS AS CONSERVATIVES THAT WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU WANT TO SPEND THE TAX PAYER DOLLARS ON POLITICAL CONVENTIONS. THAT IT IS PROBABLY BETTER TO HELP CURE DISEASE BECAUSE NOT ONLY DO YOU SAVE LIVES AND HELP PEOPLE, YOU CAN ULTIMATELY SOLVE THE FEDERAL DEFICIT PROBLEM BY BRINGING DOWN HEALTH CARE COSTS.
I KNOW THERE WAS A LOT OF LONG FACES HERE TONIGHT. IT IS DISAPPOINTING, SURE. I BELIEVE IN THIS COUNTRY. I BELIEVE THERE IS OPPORTUNITY AROUND THE NEXT CORNER FOR ALL OF US. I LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING TO FIGHT WITH ALL OF YOU FOR THE THINGS THAT WE BELIEVE IN FOR THE CONSERVATIVE CAUSE BECAUSE THOSE SOLUTIONS ARE THE ANSWERS FOR THE PROBLEM SO MANY PEOPLE ARE FACING TODAY. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH.
I offer a brief sets of retorts:

"AMERICA THAT WORKS FOR EVERYBODY." The GOP has never worked for all Americans. Not only is the party track record clearly reflective of devotion to the well being of the nation's top 20% (ers). Legislative assistance to people in the middle and lower income strata is not and has never been a component of GOP federal governance.

"PUTTING FORTH OUR CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS."  I do not recall one conservative solution all the way through Richard Nixon that worked well for the nation as a whole. If Cantor was of a mind to allude to economic solutions he stepped into a GOP mirage. The graphic that follows was borrowed from a Daily Kos piece (linked here) and it excludes economic growth in 2013 and 2014.

"CAN HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEMS FOR SO MANY WORKING MIDDLE-CLASS FAMILIES." Really? When will our nation grow to understand the conservative politician finds reality in whatever they say vs what they do. While not an elected official, I offer the following meme regarding a chief conservative media operative.

"WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU WANT TO SPEND THE TAX PAYER DOLLARS ON POLITICAL CONVENTIONS." Political conventions? How about 54 repeal ACA House votes at $1.6 Million per vote ($86.4 Million)?

"I LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING TO FIGHT WITH ALL OF YOU FOR THE THINGS THAT WE BELIEVE IN FOR THE CONSERVATIVE CAUSE BECAUSE THOSE SOLUTIONS ARE THE ANSWERS FOR THE PROBLEM SO MANY PEOPLE ARE FACING TODAY. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH." Cantor made those remarks the evening of his defeat. I can only assume he was either influenced by consumption of alcohol or his suffered in a catatonic state of denial that induced severe illusion and hardcore spewing of lies. The GOP has not solutions for problems people face today. How about an increase in the Minimum Wage that would benefit millions? How about GOP refusal to  extend of unemployment benefits for over 5 million Americans. How about GOP strategy to suppress votes? And how about a $24 billion dollar government shutdown as candy for GOP) money brokers?

Eric Cantor as former House Leader is the model of GOP federal governance. As he quickly moved for, House Leader to a reported $3 million dollar sign-on bonus with salary at double his House of Representatives compensation level, any level of reflection yields "Pay for Legislation" of lack there of.

Either of the following MSNBC segments embody the essence of Eric Cantor and the fallacy of GOP governance. Of course, if you have seen each segment or are willing to spend a few minutes viewing the segments, you will leave this piece with Cantor as a picture-boy of the GOP.

Rick Perry" Ooops! The Numbers Show Perry's Penchant for Fallacy

Rick Perry still aspires an office at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.   Is this how he plans to secure the nomination as a prelude to the 2016 election?

The Truth-O-Meter Says:

Rick Perry: 'Historic record highs' of people from terrorists states being apprehended at border

Texas Gov. Rick Perry says the border needs more protection against a record-high number of illegal immigrants coming from terrorist havens, but the figures don’t match Perry’s rhetoric.
With Congress scrambling to address illegal immigration before the start of their summer recess this past Friday, it’s no surprise that the issue was a main topic on the Aug. 3, 2014, talk shows.
Perry, who is considering a 2016 presidential run, appeared on CNN’s State of the Union to talk about President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis in Israel and the situation along the U.S.-Mexico border. Perry defended his recent decision to ramp up state spending on border operations following a massive influx of children from Central American countries.
"I'm the governor of the state of Texas. My citizens' safety is what is foremost here. And it hasn't got anything to do with anything other than those numbers of individuals who are coming across the border. And when you think about the idea that some of them are from countries that have substantial terrorist ties, whether it's Pakistan or Afghanistan or Syria, we are at historic record highs with individuals being apprehended from those countries," Perry said.

Conservatives politicians and lying are synonymous. I have grown to expect comment from their mouths as material for fact-checking. My quests (to the fact-check) have been consistently validated.

From Michelle Bachmann and Louie Gohmert, Paul Ryan and of course, the King of "Misrepresentation, Mitt Romney, one should question the words and expect the words to check as "misrepresentation."

If we stick strictly with Tamba Bay Times Politifact, and the Time's more recent "Pants on Fire" rulings, a quick calculation supports my assertion of "LIAR, LIAR" from the Right. The Time's "Pants on Fire" link shows 14 rulings per page. There are three pages. The math indicates 42 rulings. Three of the 42 rulings were awards to the Left. Specifically, all three were related to MSNBC news segments, and two of the three were awarded to Ed Schultz, The Ed Show. If we take 42 rulings minus out three of the 42 that leaves us with a dire picture. A dire picture and confirmation of my earlier assertion of Right/conservative disregard for the truth and strategic use of the lie. (42-3-39; 39/42 yields 93% RD).

My math may have failed me there, but we can assume three from the 42 leaves "Pants on Fires" over the 90 percent level. I also find it ironic that 92.8 % almost mirrors the race and ethnic composition of the GOP. A simply observation with no inference beyond the ironic nature of the numbers.

Politifact of The National Memo, published:
Republicans Lie More Than Democrats, Study Finds
In 2013, Meenal Vamburkar wrote for Mediate:

Politifact's work is not based on scientific study. Nonetheless, the results seem accurate and irrefutable (based on their analysis and repeated validation of their findings over time). Often a reliable means of study in its own right. There are other studies that take a different approach to an imbalance of lies and misinformation from the Right. Studies show conservatives seem to expect the lie and some actual prefer the lie to the truth.

Huffington Post published a piece this past March with reference to evidence supporting the conservative psyche and mindset is ripe for lies. The Huffington Post piece and those linked above via Politifact explain why Fox News is such a cash cow?

Keystone XL And A Senate Energy Bill Killed By The GOP

Senate Republicans (select Democrats) kill an energy bill passed expeditiously through the US House. THE TEA PARTY LADEN US HOUSE PASSED THE BILL!  It is important to know the GOP attempted to attach approval of the Keystone Pipeline to the bill.
_________________________

If you are not aware of the nuances of the Keystone Pipeline, you are relegating yourself to the world of the LIV: the Low Information Voter.

I will spare the wealth of information previously posted on the site.  Instead, I offer a couple of cogent and very relevant MSNBC segments. It is important to say the Keystone Pipeline is a tool to transport oil derivatives to international markets. Is not a project that will assist in energy independence for the United states. The US has moved to one of the world's most prolific developers of oil derivatives and with the horrific advent of Hydraulic FRACKING, is a world leader in energy development.

Moreover, the Keystone XL Pipeline has a long-term jobs impact that the level of 35 jobs!

One last point.  The Koch Brothers one significant land holdings in Alberta Canada. The land is each with oil deviates that will transport via the Keystone XL Pipeline. The following Washington Post headlines tells the story on GOP drive to build the XL Pipeline:

"The biggest foreign lease holder in Canada’s oil sands isn’t Exxon Mobil or Chevron. It’s the Koch brothers."
If you have any degree of deductive reasoning, you are well equipped to follow the logic.  If the Koch's own 1/1 million acres in tar sand laden Alberta Canada and the Kochs are staunch Libertarian conservatives (with $80 billion collectively), is it a leap to recognize the potential for anyone (politician or greedy pundit) willing and able to assist in development of the pipeline?

Why give the Kochs and Canada opportunity to make more billions, while you and me take the risks? Remember, BP has declared no more money to revitalize the Gulf of Mexico and that is within five years of killing an eco-system.

Fox News Incites Armed Conflict!

....by God we will make it...!

Bundy's militia adjures to God, in defiance of US law and in contrast to the commonly accepted (by other ranchers) expectation Bundy would comply with US Grazing tax law. Since, Bundy's militia guy went there, maybe we should remind of how Scripture relates issues of taxes.

Mark 12:17

16 They brought one. And He said to them, "Whose likeness and inscription is this?" And they said to Him, "Caesar's." 17 And Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at Him.
Cross References
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, "Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.
"Caesar's," they replied. Then he said to them, "So give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
They brought the coin, and he asked them, "Whose image is this? And whose inscription?" "Caesar's," they replied.
He said to them, "Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Earlier in the week we published this piece as the day's GOP Ignominious: Hannity's stoking sedition in support of Cliven Bundy (and his band of "anarcho" militia).

A few days prior to that post, we "went here:" women and children as shields?  Anarcho video (12 seconds)

You saw the Hannity's "revolution" survey, posted within days of President Obama's first inauguration. The timing of his work needs neither probing nor explanation, as his motive was obvious. Problem is, when conservatives cloak themselves in their "We are the Americans who have freedom of speech" defense, people seem not to challenge.  It was completely within the law to post such a survey; it was also a clear example of a form of sedition. The survey content should have been challenged by the Department of Justice, even if only from a platform and microphone of Atty. General Eric Holder. There are ways for high level official to simply ask a strategic question which could have served to send a message to Hannity and Fox News management. A message that would have been heard by many millions more than those followers of news who knew of Hannity's survey. The survey was taken down after social media policed the matter.

Yet, here we are again with an energized and facilitating network with hosts oozing over their libidos for one government official to fire a shot. The network nor its mouthpieces gives less than a damn if that shot strikes a child or a shielding wife, as was threaten by the courageous militia

Perspective (perception) is reality. It appears Fox News and people on the right who manipulate Fox News's "strings," have interest in a shooting akin to Ruby Ridge or Waco.

The following segments just about nailed the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vs Bundy militia incident. The last segment has Joy-Ann Reid delivering an appropriate icing on the cake 2 minute piece about how media in the past was not an active instigator of such incidents.

If by chance you feel we are off base in our assessment of Fox News and its obvious mission, Media Matters has provide data to support the premise.

Fox News Carnival Barkers Gin Up A Range War

Network's Top Shows Spend More Than 4 Hours Hyping Lawless Nevada Rancher
 JEREMY HOLDEN
Led by Sean Hannity, Fox News has devoted 4 hours and 40 minutes of its prime-time programming tocheerleading for a Nevada range war.
Coverage by show
Fox News began agitating for a range war on April 9, sympathetically portraying Cliven Bundy as a folk hero based on the Nevada rancher's refusal for two decades to pay the required fees for grazing his cattle on public land. While Nevada reporters have made clear that Bundy is "clearly wrong" and "breaking the law," Fox has waged a PR campaign romanticizing Bundy and the armed militia groups that fled to his ranch and forced a standoff with federal agents who were executing a court order that allowed them to impound his cattle.
Fox Radio hostTodd Starnes fanned the flames by implying that federal agents could be "strung up" for confiscating Bundy's cattle, regardless of a court order. Even after the Bureau of Land Management announced that it would return the cattle to Bundy, Hannity asked Bundy whether he was worried that government agents might kill him.
Hannity has effectively turned his Fox News show into a public-relations firm for Bundy and the militias backing him, dedicating more than 1 1/2 hours of coverage since April 9 to effectively agitating for armed conflict with the federal government.

Ohio As A Battle Ground Against GOP Voter Suppression

Wiki Images
Wiki Images
Norman Rockwell's rendition of the struggle!

The following video segment is critical.  Ed Schultz ran the segment last night, and it should reverberate across the nation. Of course, it won't reverberate because so many have grown nonchalant about grow GOP strategy and efforts to deny the Constitutional right to vote to African-American, Latino, certain of the elderly and college students the right to vote. Did you notice anything commonly share among the stated demographics? They are historic Democratic voting blacks. When you add collective bargaining (and public service workers) you find the full measure of Americans who are targets of GOP efforts to stifle the vote.

THE UGLY Facts
Regardless of your politics, regardless of your social views, and regardless of your position in life, you have to recognize the unfairness and indecency of restricting the votes as such. Regardless of how you feel about people depicted in the video, you cannot deny, efforts to deprive of a Constitutional right is disgusting.  Do you really want a party running the nation that would resort to such underhanded and UN-American tactics?

Chris Christie: Back As The "Bully"(Video)

Chris Christie cannot actually expect to live his entire life as a bully and expect good things to repose at the end of the path.

As Christie draws his friendly town-hall crowds, he is also now drawing New Jersey residents who are concerned about gubernatorial criminal activity malfeasance.

Scott Walker: An Exhibition In Republicanism!

“This is an old news story,” he told the Post. “Many of the ones that have been highlighted of late have actually been in the [Milwaukee] Journal-Sentinel and other places several years ago.” Scott Walker (R), Governor Wisconsin.

AP Photo / Jacquelyn Martin

Scott Walker has been the center of negative news since he won his gubernatorial seat in 2010 (inaugurated in January 2011. Almost immediately after this inauguration, Walker embarked on a strategy to reduce the number and influence of public service workers (Democratic voting collective bargaining ) via major statewide cutbacks.

Within the month (February 2011) Scott was phone punked by a radio personality pretending to be David Koch (American uber wealthy libertarian - tea party money-backer - plutocrat).

MSNBC, Ed Schultz, The Ed Show....
http://youtu.be/xPKc2Gn9P7E

The perfect example of how politicians cuddling-up to and massage the egos of their money backers. I doubt there is a better historic example of politician-power money broker "phone carnal groveling." Walker is the perfect functionary and political tool.

And, his name is bring tossed around as the GOP presidential candidate in 2016!

As Walker worked to win the Wisconsin gubernatorial seat in 2010, he left this trail of felony acts from his Milwaukee  County Executive Office.

  • Wisconsin appointee Kevin Kavanaugh (R) was arrested for embezzling $42,000 from a veterans benefit organization called Operation Freedom. Kavanaugh had been appointed to run the organization by Republican Scott Walker (R) who was Milwaukee County Executive at the time. Four others were arrested and sentenced as well.
  1. Tim Russell, appointed by Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker (R) as Deputy Chief of Staff and Housing Director pled guilty during Operation Freedom to diverting more than $21,000 to his personal bank account.[203]
  2. Kelly Rindfleisch, appointed by Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker (R) pled guilty to felony Misconduct in Public Office and was sentenced to six months in jail after admitting to campaigning for Republicans while working in Walker's Milwaukee County office.[203]
  3. Darlene Wink appointed by Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker (R) as Coordinator of Constituent Services, pled guilty to fundraising for Walker’s gubernatorial campaign while working in a County building.[204]

Walker may not have been culpable in moving money around, but it is really hard to fathom total innocence regarding campaign work while serving in county government. Walker validated he will play the game during his extended schmoozing and cowering to the fake punk caller.

It seems Walker cannot escape a trail of ooze comparable to that of a nocturnal snail and the critters slimy silver trial.

2010 staff convictions passed into neatly wrapped prison terms. Walker barely escaped a state recall vote, and successfully won re-election. His anti-union campaign continued  through the 2012 campaign. Let's face it, one has to make the Koch brothers happy.
