US Conservatism's Love of Dictators From A Trump. Kim Jong Un, and Russia Perspective (Video)

Image result for trump, kim and putin
It is one of those days when sitting and developing a piece for the page, just isn't going to take place.

Enjoy the social media reports and whatever you do, visit the MSNBC links towards the bottom of the age  The On Assignment segments with Richard Engel are award-winning journalism in my opinion.

First, let's visit with a couple of social media posts.
While I am enjoying a non-writing day, I cannot help but post a few additional items I viewed last night on MSNBC. If you viewed the segments from the On Assignment show you have no need to proceed.

The first segment relates to a nascent phenomenon of US conservatives literally loving the Russian society. Despite being one of the most repressive nations across the globe, US conservatives have latched onto Putin; Russia as surely as they continue to moniker Ronald Reagan as one of the nation's great presidents. Ronald Reagan was a facade of how US conservatives wish their world to exist. While the following segment doesn't touch upon Reagan's contributions to a rebirth of US racism (post the 1960s and ear 1970s.

From his overt affinity for Bob Jones University (with all known racist policies) through his part in advancing the GOP's successful Southern Strategy, and his outright disgusting handling of early AIDS cases, Reagan was the epitome of US social regression.  And, the GOP still to this day loves his being and legacy.

Alas, the following segment doesn't visit Reagan's social regression beyond touching on Russia's anti-LGBT policies. As you view what follows, think about the dangerous abyss to which Trump has us all standing on the precipice and leaning over the edge.

Shameful isn't it?

How about some dessert?

As Trump's World Turns: A United Nations Spectacle And Horrific Presser

Image may contain: 1 person
(I have)...... "very, very large brain."

Trump has exposed himself to the world, and in my opinion, the world has witnessed the depths of US politics and the extent the 45th President of the United States offers lies a matter of life.

The most obvious example of a president whose first thought is to respond with a lie manifest in Trump's claim of refusing a meeting with Canada's Prime Minister, Justine Trudeau.

Canadian government officials have indicated no such meeting was requested.

Take a quick peep at Trump's nonverbal demeanor as he sat with Trudeau at the June 2018 G7 Conference.

Donald Trump, Justin Trudeau are posing for a picture: US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau hold a meeting on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in La Malbaie, Quebec, Canada, June 8, 2018. Trump says he turned down a meeting with Trudeau at the UN. Trudeau's office says no meeting was offered.

Now take a look at Trump with the nation's number one nemesis and international dictator: Putin.

Image result for trump smiles with putin helsinki
A marked difference in demeanor. Especially when one considers Canada was the first nation to join George Bush's coalition against the Taliban in 2001. While lots have transpired since 2001, it should be noted the Pentagon has reported the US spent as much as $45 billion in 2017 supporting the war in Afghanistan. The Military Times reports.  Earlier in the year, I recall reports from US INTEL Russia is providing some degree of assistance tot he Taliban in its war against the Coalition forces.

CNN's Chris Cuomo offered a "Facts First" segment on Trump's various statements associated with his United Nations visit. The segment starts at the 17: 45-minute mark of last night's Prime Time and we seek your viewing through the 23:45 mark. Linked here.

No, Trudeau never requested a meeting with Trump. Why lie?

While I intentionally avoided all things Trump during his UN visit, reports are he took China to task for interfering in 2018 midterm elections. What follows is almost unfathomable as we consider Trump has rarely if ever committed to Russia as a key player in his winning the US Presidency in 2016.

Watch Trump throw spears at China.

As we have come to know Trump and his slight of hand ways of conducting his life, we readily admit China has a history of Internet manipulation and subterfuge regarding the United States. Thus we feel it safe ground for Trump and his handlers to salt the psyches of his supporters with the assertion. The problem, as mentioned a moment ago: why throw spears at China when it was obvious Russia had a delegation seated in the UN Assembly hall?

Lest we forget.

Image may contain: 1 person, text and outdoor

How could we end a piece regarding Trump's UN charade without mention and comment about the laughter?  We can't......

24 seconds of US History

Within mere hours Fox News (Trump's Fav news related entertainment) and Nikki Haley performed a dance on the thin ice of alternative facts and Trumpism lying.  Oh, how they so demean their viewers and supporters while embarrassing a once great nation. Any fool can see through Haley's mission on Fox & Friends.
Fox News

“They loved how honest he is,” Haley said. “It’s not diplomatic and they find it funny. ... When he goes and he is very truthful, they kind of were taken back by it.”

She continued: “All day yesterday, they were falling over themselves to get a picture with him, to talk about how great his speech was. ... They love that he’s honest with them and they’ve never seen anything like it, so there’s respect there. I saw that the media was trying to make it something disrespectful. That’s not what it was ― they love to be with him.”

Why then did Trump run with his retort comment: "... didn't expect that reaction..." It is amazing what a few hours and a backroom huddling strategy session yields. Especially when the lie will so easily settle comfortably in the minds of the nation's conservatives and all Fox & Friends viewers.

If you wish to waste any minutes on Trump's carnivalism, we offer a link to the 80-minute horror.  Believe us, it is a true horror.

As Trump's World Turns: The Art of the Lie And Defense Of Two Allies

Is there any wonder Trump would draw four Pinocchios from the Washinton Post fact-finders?  If you are thinking, "yes" quite a surprise, take a few minutes to see how 45 manages his life as President of the United States.

The world awakened to the daily diarrhea of Trump Tweets.  From comment about Asad to an FBI Probe to an example of banana republic justice system tampering akin to that of Putin's Russia.  Take a read of pure and unadulterated defense of the indefensible.  In one case, a US congressman's charged with insider trading (of which there are audio tape and video documentation). Another case involces a California congressman who has practically pleaded guilty via shifting total blame for campaign funds abuse to his wife.

Two long running, Obama era, investigations of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department. Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff......
Trump offers-up a defense which includes the reality the two potential felons were early su[p[prters, as well as bemoaning the potential loss of two safe Congressional seats. Actually, there is no way the New York state seat will be lost, and I personally doubt Duncan's seat, if left vacant, will be won by a Democrat. Nonetheless, the sleepless and frightened Trump places politics well beyond the law.  The nation's 45th President opts for attacking Jeff Sessions, via the use of two blatantly shameful Republicans for sake of tickling his base.
Aol via Reuters offers a quick read summary of the charges against the two members of Congress Trump has used as a tool against his Attorney General.

Trump accuses Sessions of hurting U.S. Republican congressional races

In Aug. 8, Congressman Christopher Collins, a Republican who was candidate Trump's first supporter in the House, was charged with participating in an insider trading scheme involving an Australian biotechnology company on whose board he served. Collins has denied wrongdoing but will not seek re-election.
Despite Trump's claim that both investigations began under Democratic President Barack Obama, Collins was charged over trades in June 2017 - nearly six months after Trump took office.
On Aug. 23, Republican Representative Duncan Hunter was indicted on charges that he and his wife used hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds to pay for vacations, video games and other personal expenses and filed false campaign finance reports, federal officials said.
End AOL excerpt

There once was a time in the US when actions such as the defense of potential felons from a sitting US President was unheard of.

Oh, times they are a changing.

Trump's GOP And Ryan Super PAC Malfeasance

Image may contain: one or more people and text

As polling goes, you might recall a few weeks ago Trump's White House Press Secretary openly commented about Trump's support in the black community at 36 percent. It is important to note, the data shows African-American respondents yielded approval at the level of over one-third supporting Trump. My suspicion of the comment was validated when I found which pollster Sanders referenced. Also, note (hypothetically and for sake of making a point) a 36 approval percent response could also mean of the black respondents 2.16 out of 6 approval; if the data is even accurate and honest.

It took less than ten minutes to locate the poll Huckabee Sanders quoted. She quoted Rassmussen. well, that answered that.  Take a look at how Nate Silver's 538 Blog rates Rassmussen on a biased scale

A much more reliable shows Trump approval in the Black community an utter modicum of Rasmussen's results.  The ABC/ Washington Post Poll.  The Week Magzine published a piece with links tot he poll:  poll by The Washington Post and ABC News.

Rassmussen (heavy Red lean) or ABC/Washington Post (Slight Blue lean)?

But let's move away from polling for a bit. another political dynamic has manifest, and it is utterly disgusting and pathetic.

With polling numbers as shown above, is there any wonder the GOP is resorting to what can only be called underhanded tactics to win elections? The GOP has a history of dirty tricks politics, it has a history of voter suppression, and possibly regarding cases of voter ID fraud on election day than Democrats, but the current news regarding a Paul Ryan linked Super-PAC and the 2018 mid-terms is unbelievable.

What follows is six-plus minutes of a new phenomenon in GOP politics.

DC Tribune dot org and The Super-Pac malfeasance.

Florida's Rick Scott: Lie to Win

Says Sen. Bill Nelson "voted for higher taxes" 349 times.
— Rick Scott on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 in an ad

Rick Scott, soon to be former governor of Florida and candidate for the US Senate, is little more than a state level Donald Trump.  Granted Scott may not have a cabal of apparent criminals and perpetrators of fraud at his side or on call, but his use of the lie for politicking tracks right along with Trump.

Scott published via Tweet a lie about Bill Nelson's voting record via the common use of taxes by the GOP to win elections. the tweet is an over-the-top lie according to Politifacts.

You may follow Scott's latest campaign lie via the Politifact link, here.

A Liberal's Perspective On Trump's Inauguration Pledges

Obama Vs  Trump Inauguration

Image result for trump inauguration vs obama inauguration

Is it necessary to identify which image associates with Obama or Trump's inauguration?

Once passed the comparisons, let's take a (Liberal) peep at inauguration pledge amounts. Trump's FEC filing (pdf) shows total pledges just shy of $107 million. Obamas 2009 filing reflected a record $53 million which was double the previous record Of George W. Bush at $42 million.

Pledge Digression:Trump's Inaugural Committee Paid $26 Million to Firm of First Lady's

Days after the inauguration political observers and television news show hosts (other than hosts employed by Fox News) questioned the historic pledge amount. Some TV hosts even questioned inauguration expenditures in light of the scarcity of Trump's inauguration festivities (entertainers, events et al). Questions of expenditures faded like Trump campaign promises, but concerns about the historic pledge amount have lingered for almost two years.

Is it possible we have answers about the $107 million pledges coming to the light of public scrutiny? Last nights The Rachel Maddow Show offered an MSNBC and Maddow perspective based on information oozing out of Trump's News periphery. Linked here.

If you visited the Maddow (four-minute) link regarding Trump's inauguration pledges, you might find the following link even more intriguing. Apparently, Special Counsel Mueller has yet another plea agreement conviction in the winds.

And, a bit more on Patten: linked here.  Crooks and fraud's et al.

All things considered and with the reality of conservative Americans indifference to caring, more rational Americans should stand firmly behind the Mueller Investigations. Trump is as guilty as his actions seem to indicate Have you ever seen a person act as guilty as Trump?

Think long and hard, but recognize you will not find a US President in your recall if you find anyone who acts as guilty.

As Trump's World Turns; "Zero" Increase For Federal Employees; Trump's Disapproval At 60%

 Image may contain: 1 person
"I have determined that for 2019, both across the board pay increases and locality pay increases will be set at zero."
Imagine an almost billionaire along with a Congress of predominant millionaires with the prospect of an anvil of a pay increase for federal workers at their whim. Now consider that same set of US politicians not long ago passed and signed a major tax cut for the nations most wealthy taxpayers while using the same legislation to sneak middle class and lower income tax hits on other Americans.

Millionaires on average will get an extra $69,660 boost. Those with less than $10,000 will get an extra $10 to play with.
The percentage change also skews upward, with the best benefits accruing to the $500,000 to $1 million bracket. The $50,000-to-$75,000 bracket sees a 1.6% benefit.
Things change however once 2025 rolls around. If no change is made, what were tax cuts will become tax hikes, even relative to current law.
Another look via Time

Image result for who benefited from the trump tax cuts

While the charts and the reality of Trump's "zero," remark are now folded into US History, the sad reality isn't mitigated in any manner.

And last night Trump laid another lie-egg on his audience.

I distinctly recall reading Paul Ryan's comments regarding "entitlement" programs as he defended the Trump/Ryan tax cuts.

"Zero!" for federal employees, unless the GOP Congress passes legislation to offset Trump's elitist disregard form middle America.

How did Senator Ben Cardin respond  when asked about Trump's  budget letter including the word "Zero?"

"Zero. This seems to be how much respect President Trump has for federal workers," wrote Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Maryland, in a statement. "It is outrageous and hypocritical that after spending billions of taxpayer dollars on unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations -- and as the President boasts about the 'great' state of the American economy, that suddenly the White House finds that there is zero money left to pay a minimal cost-of-living adjustment to the patriotic, dedicated public servants."
Is there any wonder a recent ABC/ Washington Post Poll shows Trump's approval rating is slipping into the darkness. Of course, Republicans nationwide support Trump at the 90% level, rational Americans continue to find the nation's 45th president a manner close to abhorrent.

Poll linked.

Texas Senatorial Race: Beto O'Rourke

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has an opponent, Beto O'Rourke, in the coming fall elections who is polling within striking distance of the GOP's number one zany man in the Senate. The Senator who almost single-handedly facilitated a short shutdown of the federal government a few years back and a Senator who has warmed Trump despite candidate Trump's disparaging both his wife and father in the 2016 GOP Primaries.

It seems Cruz could move from "warm to Trump" to snuggling with Trump as we move closer to the November mid-terms.

While I realize for some of you, civil rights isn't a voting impetus (for the lack of a better word) issue. However, It is important to recognize Civil Rights issues are but a marble roll away from human rights issues and let's be frank the GOP is not about the business of Human Rights and the party is darned near averse to Civil Rights.

In the context not Trump's diverse strategy regarding NFL Players and the National Anthem.

He is a long shot against Cruz but a refreshing thought.  Actually, it is a shame I cannot vote for Beto.

As Trump's World Turns: The Corrupt, The Felons, The News Makers, And The Swamp

A  Culture of Corruption

Image may contain: 6 people, text

First 30-seconds of Fox News, Hannity, and GOP Operative Newt Gingrich. Yes, Manafort (the felon) helped get Trump elected.

If you were raised without ever hearing the following you certainly were not raised in the United States:

" Birds of a feather flock together."

Allow me to apply that old adage to Trumpism.  I will do so with a couple of questions.

Do you believe it is possible for Trump to literally have surrounded himself with sleazy, fraudulent, deceitful and deplorable characters without also having an inner core which touches into an underbelly of life in the US?
Does it in any way surprise you the first two members of the GOP House to openly support Trump for president face charges from the strong arm of US Law?

If the questions don't point to a sebaceous cyst Trump voters and the nation's approximately 90 too 100 million nonvoters failed to consider, think what follows.

All of that said, let's visit with Trump's record-breaking and historic August 21, 2018.

CNN Cohen Pleads Guilty.  Note the 50-second mark of the following video.

......'his co-conspirator and/or his aider and abetter' was the President. Actually, the co-conspirator was the candidate for President on the Republican ticket; Cohen's one of three clients: Donald J. Trump.

All The President's Men

With the hour in a court in Virginia, Trump's former campaign chair, Paul Manafort, was receiving the verdicts of his 18 count court case.

The following CNN video is our choice to encapsulate the essence of Trump's day int eh swamp. The video again touches on Cohen' plea while offering a noteworthy report of the Manafort guilty verdicts. We also find the video a good choice as we consider Trump's August 21, day in the swamp and ...All The President's Men (to date).

Our intent was to quickly with video deal with yesterday's historic day in Trump's world. A complete review of yesterday should also include touching on yet another Republicans caught up in felonious acts regarding campaign funds.

The second Congressman to openly support Trump for president has been charged along with his wife.  The SWAMP......

Felonious members of Congress aside, it is literally unfathomable the number and scope of Trump's political apparatus who are being scrutinized or charged with crimes.  In addition, we have members of his cabinet who have been or are under investigation for misuse and abuse of their cabinet positions. And we have a literal cadre of Trump talking heads all over cable news (especially CNN and Fox News) spewing Trump propaganda which could rival that of Hitler's Joseph Goebbels.

Watch as CNN's Anderson Copper challenges the talking-point spewing Rick "BLAH PeopleSantorum, linked here.

Let's close with a view worthy segment from Don Lemon's CNN Tonight.

One more. I know you have to get back to work, but consider Lemon's "All The President's Lies

"......Only the best."

Trumpism: A Den Of Lies

While not exactly in sync with the theme of this post I am compelled to remind all of the electoral fallacy of a candidate winning 2.8 million votes than her opponent all the while losing an election. Yes, there is a major problem with US elections, as to process. The remainder of the post stands as evidence of a flawed electoral process coupled with rabid voters and an even larger group of non-voters.

The remainder of this piece relates to the growing reality of Trump as a shepherd of the dishonesty. the lie and the insane promulgation of a carnival at the highest level of federal governance.

Image may contain: 3 people, meme and text

Yesterday Trump's media lawyer appeared on Meet The Press. The way beyond rational. logical, and long past effective Giuliani again seemed far beyond a cogent level of rational. While defending Trump is more often than not a bridge too far regarding doable Giuliani's performances are showing yet another side of Trumpism. A side which exists far beyond the comprehension of Americans with rational minds unencumbered by Trump's aura.

Watch the utter insanity!

The insanity is beyond the realm of well mental health.

There is a key consideration of an irrational administration.  I posit the consideration is administration turnover.

If we remind ourselves of the level of turnover in Trump's Administration, we don't have to fall into deep contemplation of a leader who is disjointed, incompetent and guided by self-indulgence while making poor decision after poor decision.

Any management consultant will advise turnover above 30 percent in any employment period is an indicator of poor leadership. In reality turnover at the 30 plus level is far beyond an indicator of any single work environment factor. When we apply the reality of Trump turnover to any norms corporate we cannot help but avoid a work environment replete with poor hires in positions in which they shouldn't have been placed. It is an unavoidable reality which points a diagnostic finger directly at Trump.

What do you think about the following video?

Here is another take on trump turnover from the Rachel Maddow Show this past May. Linked here.

Alas, the horror isn't close to an end.

We can add another "swamp critter" to the Trump Administration departure list. Apparently, a White House speechwriter, Darren Beattie, exercised his rights to attend a meeting attended by well-known white supremacists. The following CNN segment includes a headline and use of the phrase "white nationalist"; rest assured the terminated Staffer attended a white supremacists event.

If you wish to read a detailed piece regarding the fired staffer, we have linked to the  Washington Post here.

I actually wonder if the Trump Team can continue to deny its obvious affinity for all things white nationalist?  When a speechwriter gets fired for attending a meeting at which well-known white supremacists attended, we know we have a problem with white nationalism.

By the way, some will not care for this next video, but I suggest it is a must view as we consider the utter hypocrisy and shamefulness from the White House Trump's wife grabs a platform and a microphone with the 1960s over the shoulder jacket look and spews verbiage her husband doesn't consider on a daily basis.

You may have noticed I avoided any deep criticism of Trump's wife while directing the comment on hypocrisy and her husband.

Trumpism Smorgasbord: Parade, Tax Cut, US Economy

Image may contain: text
Ninety-Two million USD? Really conservative American and Congress?

President Trump’s military parade now estimated to cost $92 million from CNBC.

The US Economy After the Wealthy Tax Cut

Last night I witnessed and heard a CNN contributor sit on camera with a sot ad a Left-leaning contributor and rail about how Trump's economy running wildly to the positive and how wages are up. The host didn't challenge the hyperbolic "alternative facts" talking head, but someone should challenge.

New York Times opinion piece regarding a major component of "Trump's Economy", the wealthy tax cuts.

If you didn't visit the NYT link, think about doing so and at least view the Real Wages chart.

The Hill recently published a piece with a compelling case of suspicion regarding continued economic growth. while we are certain Trump and his team as well as conservative Americans can locate pieces with an opposite view, we feel the Hill piece is a worthy read. We have the recent history of the GOP washing or economy into a crevasse, we can ill afford another such collapse, there may be no wiggle room for another economic stimulus as with Obama post-Bush.  The Hill linked here.

Trump Smorgasbord: Russian Asbestos, Fox News Racism, Suppress The Media

Image may contain: text

Yes, the meme is based on fact.  Check Snopes dot com.

Now for a less popular topic which reaches across the full spectrum of US society. The far-reaching issue of race in the United States cannot be avoided and it can not escape its growing home on the social and political Right.

As you view what follows, notice the insertion of new phraseology from the caverns of Trumpism: "Legal immigration." A phrase introduced by Donald Trump over the past couple of weeks.

Alas, what does it take for lowlife white supremacist like David Duke to come to the same level of Ingraham?

Now watch as an MSNBC host, Nicole Wallace, addressed Fox New's growing support for the racist fissures of Trumpism. Of particular note is her unabashed unwillingness to accept fellow conservatives, Charley Sikes', characterization of Ingraham's remarks as "nativism." Nativism? How often we forget white people are not US natives and any attempt to gaslight or whitewash, or, less inflammatory use of the word racism is ridiculous.

A Media Matters take on Ingraham's Fox News segment.

If you are thinking the matter is isolated and unworthy of your time. CNN offers a stark example of what Hillary Clinton characterized as a "deplorable".

CNN ran the segment on the Erin Burnett Out Front show. (linked here) on the Right and may on the Left work at avoiding the reality of growing Nazis in the US, take a look at what follows.

Image may contain: 1 person, meme and text I posted that meme, but I know and you know Trump is carnival barking about what he called "Fake News."

While real media is reporting matters critical to our lives of Trumpism, wouldn't you know Trump's mission (along with his closest advisers) don't relish the scrutiny? In fact, Trump's daily rant against the media is leading to increasing numbers of US conservatives who accept the prospect Trump could shut down all media which views him unfavorably. Imagine Fox News, Alex Jones and various A radio host as your only source of information. Actually, information isn't the correct word; it is more aptly called propaganda
