Trump Swamp Watch: Pruitt Circling Around The Quicksand

The Mashable has just published a list of Trump's number one swamp critter, Scott Pruitt-EPA Head. As we watch daily manifestations of Pruitt's over-the-top abuse of office and appointed privilege, recall Trump promised to rid DC of the swamp.

You should have known Trump is an acquirer and expander; he has expanded abuse of office without equal and his cabinet seems rotten with people who appear to feel the nation owes them a lavish and swamp laden lifestyle.

Last night's Rachel Maddow Show includes a segment worthy of the time it takes to view the segment. Scott Pruitt is an unequal crook who Trump seems to still hold in high regard. The EPA Head is a mantelpiece example of the "swamp" Trump campaigned on flushing out of Washington DC.

The portion of Maddow's segment starts at the 31: 33-minute mark and specific viewing can be stopped at the 25:40-minute mark.  It starts with Pruitt shabbily addressing his sweet $50 per night DC residence.

While we often used video from MSNBC, the in-line with our existential liberalism, it is important to note NBC. MSNBC management broadcast a once per week show which seems out of place with the newsworthy foundation of the network. watch Hugh Hewitt in his glorious ignominious reality.

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle hosted the segment with Hewitt and former George W. Bush Ethics Czar, Richard Painter

Trump was forced to replace HHS Head, Tom Price, due to issues related to Executive Branch abuse of charter flights. It is impossible to imagine the scope and depth of Pruitt's scandalous abuse has a long life in Trump's swamp.

Politicking: Clinton Foundation, Mitt Romney, And Journalistic Credibility

On April 24th, Politico opened a web site posting with this headline:

“I mean, there is every appearance that Hillary Clinton was bribed to grease the sale of, what, 20 percent of America’s uranium production to Russia, and then it was covered up by lying about a meeting at her home with the principals, and by erasing emails,” the former Republican nominee and governor of Massachusetts told radio show host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday. “And you know, I presume we might know for sure whether there was or was not bribery if she hadn’t wiped out thousands of emails. But this is a very, very serious series of facts, and it looks like bribery.”

Why is Hugh Hewitt often at the center of commentary and false posit form high level GOP politicians? Has he become the "go to guy" on the conservative AM radio once politicians eliminate speaking with the toxic likes of Limbaugh, the Boortz and Mark Levin?

We have previously reported on GOP politicians and radio interview with Hewitt. One of the following TPI links relates to Paul Ryan's now famous claim of a record-time marathon.
Mar 29, 2015 ... When asked by conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt about serving as Commander-In-Chief Scott dug deep and he really dug deep.
Sep 4, 2012 ... Last week, in an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Paul Ryan said that he had run a marathon in under three hours, or, more precisely, “I had a two ...
While Hewitt cannot force total veracity from his guest, there is something a bit helter-skelter regarding a repository with genesis of false mantra and over-the-top political attacks.

Hewitt aside, is US media so desperate for "copy" one of the nations most storied newspapers follows down a path that leads to journalistic malfeasance? A path strewn with Fox News, The Drudge Report and Breitbart. The New York Times simply could not pass on a flawed report regarding Hillary Clinton's State Department, and the paper followed that path to a place of utter darkness. When a publication with an audience the size of the New York Times succumbs to political maneuvering that later proves to be false, it remains of an old ancestor's tale.
"When you wallow with a pig, the pig loves you You are wallowing in it pen...and now you STINK?"
The Times piece regarding the sale of a Canadian Uranium company (with operations in the US) to the Russian atomic energy agency leaves but one aftermath: the publication "STINKS!" The Times story included false innuendo regarding donations to The Clinton Foundation

If you did not visit the Politico link above, following video will show in many ways the fallacy of the story. The video's star booking was none other than Mitt Romney.

Mind you, a person with the absolute most to gain (via sour grapes) from sitting on a set based on a false premise and aced with misinformation false premise oozing out at the seems.

How about a quick glimpse at Mitt Romney as Mr. Credible? An apparent Drudge Report story reached the Mitt Romney 2012 presidential campaign team and voila!

Jeep to close Plant in Ohio ad.

The story did not stop with the campaign ad.

Romney inserted the "lie" in a Ohio campaign   trail speech

Excuse the 1990s vernacular, but "at the end of the day"  Four Pinocchios from the Washington Post.

Despite Romney's penchant for immersing in stories without and iota of fact, the Right continues to parade the two time GOP nomination loser around like a flag or better yet a "red badge of courage." Flag or political wars hero, Romney is a major political loser with a tendency to promulgate false reality. Unfortunately, The New York Times stood with yet another case of "Romneysia" and has to suffer the consequences of jumping on the very popular wave of rightwing reporting.

A note before moving to a relevant piece, when will the Right stop rolling Mitt Romney across the airways in support of near fabrication and exaggerations.

Oliver Willis, Media Matters, published a piece that captures and reports the political controversy as well as any (source) and better than most.
