The Death of Four US Soldiers (WHY?) VIDEO

When journalist and research teams hit close to home with the prospect of hitting the head of the nail.  The following segment of The Rachel Maddow Show is without question a must watch. Oh, it is a very long segment (25 minutes), but the segment touches on a few reason why Trump and his fumbling Defense Department is reticent about mentioning the deaths of four US Special Ops soldiers.

Think the African nation of Chad, Passports and Exxon Mobil along with Trump's idiotic travel ban.  Could either of those items have contributed to the deaths of the four soldiers?

The thoughts are horrific. But, so is Donald Trump. StumbleUpon

Trump Plays ISIS Games; President Obama Takes Out ISIS Leader

This piece is a re-post from Alan Colmes Liberaland site. Advertisements do not provide revenue to the TPI.

Here is a quick hit FB post to accompany a point I have stated since Trump started his Obama/Clinton ISIS "founder" rhetoric. The point is " If Obama Founded ISIS; ISIS needs a new Daddy!"

Real ISIS leader killed; Trump silent

The actual leader of ISIS in Afghanistan was killed by a U.S. drone strike, it was revealed Friday. Hafiz Saeed, leader of so-called Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan and Pakistan, died in a US drone strike last month, the US believes. Last year, the Afghan intelligence agency said it believed Saeed had died in a drone…

Bush's ISIS Is The Result Of Your GOP Vote

If you missed the following piece via If You Only News...give it a quick read and view. Of course, you may be among enlighented and non-propagandized Americans who accept ISIS is a George W. Bush and Dick Cheney creation. If you are a high-information American you can skip this piece.

 If You Only News
WATCH A RETIRED GENERAL EXPLAIN HOW BUSH’S IRAQ BLUNDER CREATED ISIS (VIDEO)
Although it has been nearly 8 years since Dubya has left the oval office to go and paint feet and make his ranch safe from brush, we’re still cleaning up the massive mess left by the Bush Administration’s abortive invasion of Iraq. Tak, for example, the rise and spread of ISIS. Prior to our invasion and toppling of Saddam Hussein, Iraq did not have religious extremists.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) brilliantly reminded us last year that it was, in fact, the Bush administration that allowed ISIS to come to power. But now a former U.S. special forces commander is saying the Bush Admin. was responsible too, which has way more sting.
General Michael Flynn is bashing the Bush administration, citing their epic failure in Iraq as the primary motivator for the creation of ISIS.
Watch Retired General Explain How Bush’s Blunder Created ISIS:

The Bush administration will forever be associated with flagrantly lying to the American public and costing thousands of lives all in the name of hubris.  Like a child at another kid’s birthday party, they knew they can make a huge mess and kick crap everywhere since somebody else would clean it up. Little did they know that the clean-up would still be going on 8 years later.

Putin Refers To ISIS As "Daesh" And Requested A What?

A MAP?

We hope Putin never asks certain Americans for a map.  It is critical to note, it seems well over 40% of US conservatives are finding Donald Trump  an acceptable prospect for the GOP nomination for 2016.

Whatever you do Vladimir, do not ask any Republican for a map of acceptable areas for Syrian bombing.

____________________________

This is truly unfathomable, yet I get an inner feeling it has a basis in the reality of Russian INTEL.

MSNBC

"He asked us to draw up a map of forces that are not terrorists and are fighting Daesh," Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on RTL, referring to ISIS by its Arab acronym. "He committed to not bombing them once we've provided that."

The West has accused Moscow of targeting mostly-Western backed rebel groups fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad, who is a key Russian ally.
If Vladamir Putin requested a map of areas not to bomb and a map that included areas where Syrians fighting ISIS hold ground, we find cause to question the wisdom of another nation bulging with military hardware. While bulging at the seams with an abundance of hardware, ordinance, and the will to use such, yet restricted like a race horse with limited view due to blinders.

France's President Hollande met with the Russian leaders this morning; the references to the map follows.

The unbelievable nature of the request and associated ease in confirming future us of the map, warrants watching. The request also leads to an area of thought and a place in the mind that seeks a bit of humor: The Three Stooges.

ISIS: What, Why, How

Slow down on blaming Obama.

The origins of ISIS, explained in 3 minutes The terrorist attacks in Paris —which claimed over 120 lives — were the work of a brutal terrorist group known as ISIS. And the winners are:  Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and John Kasich will appear in the prime-time showdown.

And the B-Team bottom dwellers are:

Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, George Pataki, and Jim Gilmore.

The top ten is a smorgasbord of US conservatism and a college of candidate racism, homophobic, a libertarian chameleon, a whacked-out former brain surgeon, a failed governor who is he can kills ISIS like a teachers union, a noted exponent of phasing-out Medicare, a New Jersey bully, a young lost soul from Florida and Kasich (criticism not yet fully developed).

The bottom seven, no comment.

Lindsey Graham: US Troops In Middle East Forever!" GOP Gone Mad

If you have any recall, you should remember the Bush Administration convinced the world that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction including nuclear weapons.

The first 20 seconds of the following video captures the essence of the US invasion of Iraq and the reaming three plus minutes speak volumes about the "Big Lie."

Chris Matthews, MSNBC's Hardball,  and Former Deputy CIA Director, Mike Morrell. (historic interview)

Cheney's lie validated via the ultimate insider: a deputy Director of the US CIA.

Thus, the nation and the world followed the Bush/Cheney WMD lie and charged into Iraq. As we approached the 2016 General Elections, attention tot he wisdom or lack there of in charging into Iraq is blossoming liek a seasonal Rose bulb.

Earlier in the week and just after Lindsey Graham, US Senator (R) South Carolina, Medite reported on Graham's comment about the Iraq War.  Will Graham try to carve a nomination niche withy ultra hawkish rhetoric. He via his comments of yesterday literally admitted that the US invaded iraq for reason well beyond the fraud of "WMD." "Knowing what we know now, I'd have found other ways to kill Saddam Hussein."  Well damn!

Two plus trillion dollars against us federal expenditure, 4500 plus US troops and contracts dead, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead...and the foundation birth of what has become ISIS.

Graham's campaign moves to yet another level. He now states the US should keep troops in the Middle East forever!
Commentary (website)
In a typical year over the past half-century, 19 countries hosted more than a thousand American soldiers. Japan, Korea, and Germany are the best known hosts of American military bases, but most people are unaware that U.S. soldiers lived in Bosnia, the Philippines, and Italy (host to 10,000 U.S. troops per year for more than 60 years).
American troop deployments overseas from 1950 to 1989 (the Cold War era) averaged 610,453 per year. During the “peace dividend” decade that followed, the total force strength shrank by two-fifths, from 2.5 to 1.6 million (then shrank again in the most recent decade to 1.4 million). Boots on foreign ground declined abruptly in the decade after 1990 to only 258,709 before rising again to 357,236 between the years 2002 and 2012.
Contrary to conventional wisdom, most troop deployments were not to countries at war—the sole exception being the years from 1966 to 1970, the height of the war in Vietnam. In the 1980s, 300,000 American forces were stationed in European allied countries, 100,000 in Asian allied countries, 5,000 in Turkey (a NATO ally), and 9,000 in Panama.

Figure 2. Estimated Additional Annual Variable Cost per Person Compared with U.S. Basing

Could Lindsey Graham experience many such cognitive fits of ignorance? Maybe, he is simply campaign lying to carve-out a bit more polling points.  In any case the charts just above place his "Middle East forever" comments ion true perspective. Are you willing to spend more federal dollars stationing troops abroad, while the GOP fights to reduce taxes that disproportionately help the rich?  Didn't we go through this scenario before.

US TROOPS IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOREVER!

Pataki Declares: Longshot With a KXL and Troop On The Ground Against ISIS

Pataki announces and the clown show grows....

https://youtu.be/aw5DmSp0gtI

While some have labelled the formnr New York Governor a socially progress Republican, it should also be noted he is a proponent of the KXL Pipeline and he has recently advocated troops on the ground against ISIS.

What follows is an excerpt from a 2012 TPI piece posted just before the November General elections. George "Keystone XL Pipeline" Pataki, offered a camera and microphone by MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell to spew "consulting fee" rhetoric about KXL.

As the principle consultant spoke, he knew of the Cornell University study which directly refuted his "jobs' claims.

Excerpt

The Associated Press is reporting the US is experiencing record oil production, and the climb the top was not started in a Republican administration.

Driven by high prices and new drilling methods, U.S. production of crude and other liquid hydrocarbons is on track to rise 7 percent this year to an average of 10.9 million barrels per day. This will be the fourth straight year of crude increases and the biggest single-year gain since 1951.
It is a shame many voters are 'information deprived". People who are uninformed are fertile ground for GOP mantra and rhetoric. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell recently interviewed former New York State Governor Pataki during a post debate wrap-up from the debate floor. Pataki actually threw a major lie across the broadcast airways and went unchallenged by O'Donnell. Pataki stated he could not understand why Obama did not approve the Keystone Pipeline. He stated, the project would create 60,000 jobs. The one thing I notice about "attack dog" Pataki, he is a liar comparable to Mitt Romney. Pataki and GOP campaign handlers know credible studies have analyzed the project. As a comprehensive project, It will generate many more very temporary jobs than sustainable jobs, and the figure falls way she off Pataki's 60,000 lie. As a Principal in the lobbying firm Pataki and Cahill Group, Pataki knows the industry and all details related to the pipeline. His bold lie causes a bit of contemplation about the prospects he could gain from approval of the Pipeline.

A Cornell University study placed the jobs number at a fraction of the number stated by Pataki after the debate. O'Donnell also knows Pataki was lying for affect, why not challenge the lie?

Is there no end to GOP Lies and misrepresentations? The following niece from AOL's Daily Finance, might help in educating a few voters. he US is a world leader in oil production and that strides have come about under the Obama watch.

AOL Linked here.

It really is pathetic when  1% (er) like Pataki is invited on camera and allowed to spew a lie related to energy when he earns income form the industry.   In addition to his status as a high level surrogate for the GOP, how facilitation would it be for his firm to have Romney in the White House?

GOP mantra and self-serving greed is possible only via the minds of people who are veritable sycophants.  They feel conservative America can do no wrong when, in actuality,  the GOP doing nothing for the nation beyond enriching its upper crust 1 % (ers).

While the Obama administration quietly moves the nation away from dependence on foreign oil, the GOP can only practice inaccurate rhetoric for sake of winning elections.

A far back as 2012, Pataki also knew this: Trans Canada CEO concedes permanent jobs at KXL well less than 60 total.  Pataki stated 60,000 jobs to O'Donnell in 2012.

KXLH Dot Com

By Jeremy Diamond CNN
(CNN) -- Former Gov. George Pataki, who is expected to launch a presidential bid next week, said Wednesday the U.S. should deploy troops to Iraq to fight ISIS.
Pataki, a New York Republican, insisted that a deployment of U.S. combat troops would be a limited mission unlike the 2003 American invasion of Iraq -- a war then-President George W. Bush had insisted would be short-lived.
"I don't want to see us putting in a million soldiers, spend 10 years, a trillion dollars, trying to create a democracy where one hasn't existed," Pataki said Wednesday on CNN's "New Day. "But send in troops, destroy their training centers, destroy their recruitment centers, destroy the area where they are looking to plan to attack us here and then get out."
Pataki added that while Americans may be wary of sending troops back into combat the fight against ISIS "is our war."

It is also important to note, Pataki started his declaration to run with proud menton of Ronald Reagan.

ISIS: A Result of "Direct Action"; Not Obama "Inaction"

Let there be no mistake, ISIS is not the manifestation of an evolution of Middle East Terrorism.

Of course, ISIS practices the most heinous of terror (predominately against Muslims and Middle Eastern Christian, Arabic people et el). But, it is not a living entity of terror base don President Obama's careful and cautious approach to intervention in Syria. The Republicans would have you believe such, and facilitating US media will join the GOP in falsely laying ISIS to the feet of the current administration. The responsibility for the cancer of the Middle East should be laid to "direct action" from the Bush Administration. Not "inaction" from the Obama Administration.

The website Active Post recently ran a 12 plus minute video that takes ISIS to its basic and lowers denominator.

In this episode of Truth in Media, Ben Swann explores the origin of ISIS that has already been long forgotten by American media. Swann takes on the central issue of whether or not ISIS was created by  "inaction"  by the United States government or by "direct" action.

US Lust For War Has Evolved! Remember 2003? (Video Update)

The 62% who are now lusting fore war against ISIS (Boots on the ground)...let their kids go via a Draft. Brilliant colonel Wilkerson, brilliant.

See MSNBC video below
The Bush Administration and its incompetent foreign policy decisions continue to haunt a nation.

ISIS has focused strategy in drawing the United States into a killing field slaughter of thousands of young Arab fighters.  US sentiment is foolishly falling for all the Right-wing hype and our young en and women become pawns for those who shield their kids from the trenches.

Last fall American sentiment for inserting "boots on the ground" in the Middle East was darned near minuscule. Well, ISIS, US conservatives and American war mongers are winning the battle of the insanity of war.

Quinnipiac (a left leaning polling authority) has published a comprehensive poll that has US interests in a ground war at the forefront of the poll summary.

We have posted survey results related to ISIS below. Before, we go there, let's do what I insist is critical to any review of survey data: view the methodology. If you run across a survey that does not include methodology and demographics, you might become the victim of propaganda.

US sentiment has devolved into a "danger zone."

U.S. VOTERS BACK 2-1 SENDING TROOPS TO FIGHT ISIS
American voters support 62 – 30 percent sending U.S. ground troops to fight ISIS in Iraq and
Syria, with strong support across all party, gender and age groups
Men back U.S. troop deployment 68 – 28 percent, while women support it 57 – 33
percent
A total of 69 percent of American voters are “very confident” or “somewhat confident”
that the U.S. and its allies will defeat ISIS. Only 39 percent of voters are concerned that U.S.
military action will go “too far” in getting involved in the situation, while 53 percent are more
concerned the U.S. military “will not go far enough in stopping ISIS.”
Voters say 64 – 23 percent Congress should grant the authorization requested by
President Barack Obama to use military force against ISIS
Voters say 72 – 19 percent that the U.S. should never pay ransom to terrorists who
are holding American hostages

Since, this piece is a TPI quick hit, we will hold-off on additional comment...for now.

CBS News Offers McCain A Bash Obama Platform!

McCain: Egyptian Coup Example Of Failed American Leadership
....  Seriously McCain?
Earlier today I published this piece......

While I was unaware of specific booking and McCain, I was confident he had a perch on ether a cable news network (Fox New), CBS (Face The Nation) or NBC's (Meet The Press) with the ever critical Andrea Mitchell blowing her elderly horn of anti-Obama rhetoric.

CBS won the prize and continued McCain's his every Sabbath opportunity to deliver personal contempt for a president who has kept the nation out of wars. The irascible and singularly focused senior citizen speaks to conservative who flock to the Sunday Morning shows while the majority in the nation have only fleeting interest in US involvement in conflict that even remotely resembles boots on the ground. Yet, CBS offers McCain an opportunity to vent, rant ad literally make a fool of himself.

We must never forget CBS executives reached to a former Fox News executive in 2011 to head its news division. Now, can you tell me why CBS executives would reach to a network that actually doesn't deliver news?  Fox is a tool of American conservatism and a media outlet for the GOP. Yet CBS found cause to hire David Rhodes as president of its news division. Before we move on, be aware that Rhodes joined Fox in 1996 immediately after college and has grown to full-fledged propagandist under one media umbrella. An umbrella owned by Ruppert Murdoch and run by Roger (I hired Palin because she was hot) Ailes. Alas a commitment to journalism only surpassed by managers at the Playboy Network.

McCain on David Rhodes's Face The Nation

http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/john-mccain-obama-either-in-denial-or-overwhelmed-about-isis-threat/

On Wednesday of this week, Kathy Frankovic, Today.YouGov, published a piece with poll results indicating a specific group of survey respondents feel ISIS is a greater threat that Al Qaeda. If that statement surprised you, you ave been travelling around the earth in a space capsule over the past two months. Strategically released video of mass killings, wanton blood letting, be-headings, and direct threats against the US, have placed ISIS as an international threat beyond discussion. The YouGov survey also yielded results President Obama has slipped regarding perception of foreign policy.  Yet, the Economist/YouGov Poll survey respondents mixed results for direct US involvement in Syria.

YouGov is an internet survey tool. Such surveys do not fare well relative to accuracy and veracity. However, over the past few elections YouGov has polled well. I ordinarily to do not refer to pools if I cannot review methodology and demographics related to survey respondents.  The referenced survey is missing methodology linkage. However, it seems ISIS has propagandized into the US psyche.

Personally, I find it both refreshing and reassuring President Obama is not charging into a war in the Middle East without careful deliberation and thorough planning.  We only have to look back over the last half of the 20th Century to see how careless jingoism and wanton attacks in foreign lands backfire on the US. If you need a more myopic view of the careless of American policy from the Right, think of how the Bush/Cheney wars damned near led to the literal death of the United States.

John McCain is a war-hawk who would attack New Jersey if he felt a threat from more residents than controllable by the states governor. As stated in the piece linked above m McCain has never witnessed an international conflict without espousing US involvement. Well, I stand corrected, I do not recall McCain preaching about the genocide in Rwanda and I do not recall his aggravating to free the 250 plus schools girls kidnapped a few months ago.  Wonder why?

I may have missed this point as I viewed the David Rhodes/Major Garrett/ McCain interview, but why no question about McCain's personal meeting with the leaders of ISIS?

I realize the Sunday Morning News shows are an extension of the American conservative psyche, but network executives should attempt to portray some modicum of journalistic integrity. Integrity that would include the posing of questions to a man who could have been ISIS first American victim. Of course, we know McCain was safe with the terrorist as their mission was to secure bugger and more powerful arms from the US to allegedly fight against Assad.  How gullible is McCain and how facilitating is CBS News?

"Sunday Morning McCain" Never Challenged About Meeting With ISIS (Jon Stewart VIDEO)

Anonymous on ISIS

http://youtu.be/_kJtvFUMELM

John McCain a misguided WAR HAWK unable to get any satisfaction from Obama's lack of interest in war. McCain is on Sunday morning news broadcast just about each Sunday. Why hasn't McCain received one question about the images below and his past ranting about US providing "big weapons" to what he called Syrian rebels (eventually referred to as ISIS or ISIL)?
When will the American public recognize, McCain is a danger to our national interest? If you do not recognize the number and extent of war a President McCain would have perpetrated you are guilty of living in a vacuum. It should stand to rational discernment, if he so favors "bombing" with any international conflict, how can we begin to trust is rhetoric. McCain as president..... the horror and a dreadful thought accompanied by the disgusting thought of Palin in the White House.

McCain with ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi

Jon Fulton (friend of the TPI)
This picture shows John McCain meeting with Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi and Shakir Wahyibi the number one and two leaders of ISIS , and two other ISIS leaders Mohammad Nour and Abu Ibrihim. Why has the right wing owned media chosen to ignore this picture and all questions about McCain meeting with them in this May 29th 2013 Picture ? Why isn't Shakir Wahyibi's picture on this FBI wanted poster for the Benghazi raid not newsworthy when its the main talking point against Secretary Clinton ? Why is the only talk about Obama's "lack of strategy" and none about McCain's complicity in founding ISIS?
A bit piece from Jon Stewart.

McCain is the ultimate example of tip of the iceberg indicators of how the GOP will administer foreign policy. He shows the extent to which he and his party are gullible and susceptible to their fetish for "bombing" and ordering troops into war zones. It is remarkable McCain's GOP is infested with elected officials who have shown utter disregard for legislation to assistance veterans and failed to support measures with benefit to active duty troops and their families.
