Maddow Does "The 47" Like No Other

If you regularly visit the TPI, you probably spend your evening with Rachel Maddow. Therefore, the video segment embed below was at the top of your MSNBC viewing last night. If you for some reason either missed the segment, do not watch MSNBC, or are not a TRMS viewer, you should strongly consider expending 17 minutes viewing the video.

A central theme of the video: the nation's voters are electing (or re-electing) conservatives who are obviously misplaced and ill-equipped to hold seats in the US Congress. The problem is well beyond a minor consideration if you consider Senate seats are occupied for a full six year period. Now, let's compound the problem with senior  Senators following suit.

An unintended pun comes to mind.  The 47 GOP members of the US Senate showed a "bush league" GOP Lock-step ideology and  dangerous modus operandi. The penultimate reality of the Iranian open letter is the lack of cognitive fortitude from Senators who wish to campaign for the GOP nomination in 2016.

Have the Senators who would be president shown a level of simpleminded and absence of thought that could shield America from manipulative corporatist and power wielding oligarchs? Is there a way to view the 47 letter signers in any manner other than group think or practitioners of a circular firing squad?

Group think has led our nation to unnecessary wars, horrid social practices and the mistaken perception of America as an "exceptional nation."
