A Day In The Life Of Trump (The Fifth, Israel, Russian INTEL)

Image result for trump news

Radical Islamist

Yesterday after news of the Manchester concert terror attack.

July 2016...

Trump sure didn't call the terrorists, "Radical Islamic Terrorists."
“I won't call them monsters, because they would like that term. They would think that’s a great name."
Another campaign conservative "rebel yell' which seems to have dissipated like drops of water on a sunny day sidewalk. And, no groundswell of angst for people who so loved the mantra as key to campaign Trumpism.

Trump digs himself in deeper

Have you ever heard the old joke of two criminals caught while perpetrating a burglary? Well, take a minute.

Two burglars broke into a retail store to steal items and pilferage the cash register. Police arrived, the burglars panicked and attempted to hide. One burglar was found hiding and as he and the headed out police left the retail store, the burglar said, "hold on a minute." The burglar asked to be led to a trap door to the basement of the establishment. Once at the trap door, he told the police to open the door. After the door swung open the burglar yelled: "Come on up man, we are caught."

Trump's out of no place yelping four times about not using the word "Israel"  regarding his divulging highly classified INTEL.
I believe I recall a presidential candidate mentioning a block of Trump supporters she called "deplorables."  The comment undoubted cost Hilary Clinton a few votes, yet we are seeing Trump's "D" people oozing around with their Red Trump caps.

Video only...Yes this is that speicers referrd to as "deplorable."

Pushback, pushback and ignore possible collusion with Putin

Taking The Fifth

As Trump's choice to lead the nation's highest INTEL and Security agency (the NSC) works to avoid cooperation with Congressional investigationsnto possible election collusion between Trump's campaign and Putin's international operatives, Mike Flynn's former boss (Trump) is coming unglued. Herewith is another case of Trump's carnival barking shysterism regarding Clinton's home email server as a catalyst for campaign mantra about her staffers enacting their Fifth Amendment rights against possible self-incrimination.

We await today's embarrassment, missteps and reality show intrigue.

SOLDIERS FOR PEACE INTERNATIONAL Transcends Politics Via Focus on Humnaity

Join Us On Facebook!

While it is too early to read the long term significance of the action, 5 European governments have called in Israel's Ambassadors to their nations to register protests against Israel's closing off of prospects for peace by its huge illegal expansion into Occupied Wast Bank and East Jerusalem.

Now is the time for all people of good will to call on their governments to do more than protest Israel's assault on the people of Palestine. Those nations will act when their political leaders understand that their people stand with Palestine and Israelis who want to see liberty justice for all.
5 Nations Summon Israeli Envoys to Protest Settlement Plans
The unusually sharp diplomatic step by Britain, France, Spain, Sweden and Denmark reflected the growing frustration abroad with Israel’s plans for settlement

Stevie Wonder Cancels Concert..An Ambassador of Peace in the Middle East

MSN Entertainment is reporting famed American lyricist,  singer and performer Stevie Wonder has cancelled a planned benefit concert to raise money for the Israeli Armed Forces.  Apparently, Mr. Wonder received a request from the United Nations to cancel the event with consideration of the current strife between the Israeli's and the Palestinians (Hamas). Specifically, in protest against the announcement of new Israeli settlements within hours of UN recognition of the Palestinians as an "observer" state.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer
The UN vote received this response from Israel. Yahoo News.
I often comment on a personal and troublesome dichotomy.  Israel is a strong ally of the United States and the US is in-kind Israels number #1 ally.   Jewish voters in the United States were overwhelmingly supportive of Barack Obama and the Democratic Party in 2008. Exit polls in 2008 indicated 72 percent of Jewish voters cast votes for Obama. The numbers dropped by 4 points in 2012 to 68 per cent.  Sixty-eight percent of any voting bloc denotes that bloc is solidly in the corner of the candidate.

The dominance among Jewish voters manifest even with GOP claims Obama is not a friends of Israel.  US voters saw through the rhetoric and properly filed it away as campaign mantra.  Any friend of the Democratic Party and supporters of the current president are allies as progressives in our nation.

Thus my dichotomy, my quagmire, my uncomfort.
The ongoing strife between Israel and the Palestinian people sits as a tear in my psyche that, I feel, will be mended only after the Palestinians have a land they can call home.  Until some land  (in the middle East) is designate Palestine, Arabic and Persian people will be at odds and close to war with the West.  Until Palestinians (Hamas) or whomever stops lobbing rockets indiscriminately into Israel there will be no peace.

I am reminded of the lyrics of a song from the late Bob Marley. The song is called "War" and the lyrics posted below are reported to have been influenced by Haile Selassie's speech before the League of United Nations. Haile Selassie, "Appeal to the League of Nations," June 1936.

Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia

 Speech excerpt.....
On the question of racial discrimination, the Addis Ababa Conference taught, to those who will learn, this further lesson: That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned: That until there are no longer first-class and second class citizens of any nation; That until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained; And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique and in South Africa in subhuman bondage have been toppled and destroyed; Until bigotry and prejudice and malicious and inhuman self-interest have been replaced by understanding and tolerance and good-will; Until all Africans stand and speak as free beings, equal in the eyes of all men, as they are in the eyes of Heaven; Until that day, the African continent will not know peace. We Africans will fight, if necessary, and we know that we shall win, as we are confident in the victory of good over evil.

Bob Marley

"War"  Lyrics

Songwriters: Valentin, Mats / Green, Marti Lynn Dodson
Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
And another
Is finally
And permanently
And abandoned -
Everywhere is war -
Me say war.

That until there no longer
First class and second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes -
Me say war.

That until the basic human rights
Are equally guaranteed to all,
Without regard to race -
Dis a war.

Complete lyrics linked above

Of course, Salassie's speech and Marley's adaptation to song, related to oppression against the Ethiopian people perpetrated by Italy and oppression of black Africans by white minority citizens of the same nations.  Yet, their messages still resonate as relevant universally wherever oppression manifest.

Until a time when the combatants between Israel and Palestine recognize and work to alleviate strife between the two people, "Dis a War".

Reuters Reports UN Implicit Approval of Palestinian State

The Progressive Influence has no direct preference in the ever-present turmoil between Israel and Hamas. On a larger scale, we have avoided siding one way or the other.   Despite, our neutral position in the region, we have long felt the Palestinian people should have a homeland. There should be a Palestinian State!

There appears to be serious movement in the United Nations in support of a Palestinian State. Reuters is reporting as follows.....

A Palestinian boy in traditional clothes waves a Palestinain flag during a rally in the West Bank city of Ramallah November 29, 2012. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas appealed to the U.N. General Assembly to recognize Palestinian statehood by supporting a resolution to upgrade the U.N. observer status of the Palestinian Authority from 'entity' to 'non-member state.' UNITED NATIONS | Thu Nov 29, 2012 6:03pm EST

(Reuters) - The 193-nation U.N. General Assembly on Thursday overwhelmingly approved the de facto recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on the world body to issue its long overdue "birth certificate."
There were 138 votes in favor, nine against and 41 abstentions. Three countries did not take part in the vote to upgrade the Palestinian Authority's observer status at the United Nations to "non-member state" from "entity."

We want to explicitly state, "We have no interest in national flag waving nor aligning with either side of the Israeli /Palestinian strife and struggles. We are on the side of peace and fairness.  A "people" should have a homeland.

Benjamin T Moore Jr: The Problem In a Nutshell

Enjoy while the caffeine kicks-in!!!!!

A morning screed to go along with your Sumatra, Kenya AA, Tanzanian, Kona Coast, Jamaica Blue Mountain, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Costa Rican, Espresso,  Moyobama Peruvian Organic , Indonesian Blend, Coffee Latte, Kauai Blend (often bitter), Colombian Red Lips, or your Folgers 100% Colombian.

 Benjamin T Moore Jr

We helped create the nation of Israel. We give billions of dollars - 25% of our entire foreign aid budget - to Israel each year. We supply them with hardware, technology, nuclear devices - nobody is supposed to know about that - satellite intelligence and they quite routinely thumb their noses at the United States. Benjamin Netanyahu was literally caught on tape bragging about how easy it is to lead America around by its nose.

Romney Sabre Rattles and Continues Tirades That Appear as Race-Baiting

Over this past weekend Mitt Romney's made clear jingoist comments while visiting Israel. He also made other remarks that have drawn scorn form the Palestinian leaders; remarks that appear as racist.  Let's explore Romney' war-hawking' comments first.

Republican jingoism is well documented in recent US history.  You may recall George W. Bush's comments about Saddam Hussein "being a bad guy after all he tried to kill my dad" in  2002.

CNN reported in 2002
And, in discussing the threat posed by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Bush said: "After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad."
An early first-term indication of what was to come?  When presidents speak in such terms, they often have their minds set on a future course of action. Isn't it amazing a US presidential candidate would go on an international stage, virtually promise to follow Israel to war, and simultaneously while campaigning in the US speak about cutting taxes.  Where have we heard that 'song' in the past?

Romney's comments were obviously spoken to chip away Obama Jewish support in the coming elections and to facilitate fund raising as he whines down his, not-so-presidential' trip overseas. Survey sources reported massive Exit Poll support for Obama in the 2008 General Elections: 78% voted for Obama according to the European Jewish Press.

The following remarks serve no real purpose in international diplomacy. Factually, the remarks are no different than remarks from our current president.  President Obama would stop short of the promise of a war, as would be the expectation from most Democratic presidents. The act of guaranteeing an Israeli lead war against Iran, is foolish and dangerous.  Needless to say, such remarks are also virtually meaningless if the recipients of Romney's message consider his 'record' of lies, falsehoods, and tendencies towards out-right manipulation. Romney is without doubt the most unscrupulous presidential candidate in modern US History. From the Vanity Fair article reports of former Bain employees about Romney's recommendations to stretch the truth,  or lie to his serial lies that helped him win the 'presumptive' GOP nomination, his legacy is being written.

Any observer can see how Romney and his campaign have handled their advertisements against President Obama.  If the candidate "lives by the lie" (via his ads and his past record), "his campaign will die by the lie". Surely Israeli leaders must understand his possible use of jingoism against Iran as a leverage in the Jewish Community.

Take a look and listen of how Romney spent part of his weekend.

Jingoism is unnecessary as President Obama has voiced the very same words in more than one setting. The president has also proven he will take action when and where action is the last resort.  Israel's Prime Minister poured fuel on Romney's jingoism via his statements that sanctions have not work on Iran.   The Prime Minister did not address apparent omission from the Obama Administration of US  successful  cyber attacks against the Iranian nuclear program. I have read those attacks did, in fact, setback the Iranian nuclear program.
