Trumpism: Kids In Fenced Cages?

Imagine your reaction if you saw a 2-year-old white or black kid being taken from the kid's parents with some supposed law enforcement trooper wearing rubber gloves? Let's be frank, imagine your reaction if you saw a little white kid being taken as such. We have come to the stark an ugly reality that in the United States, treatment of minorities doe not garner the same level of disdain from the majority population as seeing inappropriate treatment of white kids (and people in general).  We just keep it real.

Take a few minutes (very few) and watch and listen. Reports of ICE agents taking children under the guise of giving them a bath? Sound familiar?

And how does the administration react when in front of the White House Press Corps?  We won't show video of Jeff Sessions based on our utter contempt for Sessions as a proven racist with Paleozoic social views.
Did she say the reporter didn't have the ability to understand short sentences?  Don't you wonder if she wasn't equipped with that remark from you know who?

If you need a nail in the coffin of the extent of disgust associated with the kid incarceration policy, checkout your Attorney General citing the Bible.  Before the one minute long clip remember Sessions is the person spoke as such in the past.

The Root dot com
When Trump was just an aspiring charlatan, still living off his daddy’s money, Sessions was busy warning a fellow black attorney to be careful how he talked to white people. Thirty-five years before the Senate confirmed him to lead the part of the government that enforces civil rights, Sessions told a white civil rights attorney that he was a “traitor to his race.”
Hardly the mindset of a person who should serve as the US Attorney General. The godfather of a policy which has placed the US squarely on a mantel with other autocratic and dehumanizing regimes.

Now view sessions today, using the Bible in justification of incarcerating immigrant children.

Utter disgust....... StumbleUpon

As Trump's World Turns: America...Kids In Cages

Related image

The United States is a nation of immigrants back as far as the late 1400s. White immigrants invaded the land of native non-white people, eventually practiced a policy of Manifest Destiny (literal genocide accompanied by land grabbing for East to West), forced slave immigration of Africans, and all while promulgating a policy of modern-day colonialism through-out its history.

During World War II the Federal government interned Japanese citizens who lived on the West Coast in internment camps.

Approximately one month ago Jeff Sessions and Trump's chief Whtie House enforcer appeared publicly to speak about a new policy of separating refugee (immigrant if you prefer) Children for their parents. The practice is active and disgusting even as refugees present themselves on the southern border in accordance with current guidelines.

Kelly on NPR

When asked about the policy and practice as cruel, Kelly responded well outside the realm of past American psyche and policy.
Excerpt (Business Insider)

"I wouldn't put it quite that way," Kelly said. "The children will be taken care of — put into foster care or whatever. But the big point is they elected to come illegally into the United States and this is a technique that no one hopes will be used extensively or for very long."

In the interview, Kelly also acknowledged that most immigrants who cross the border illegally are neither criminals nor members of the MS-13 street gang. He added that he sympathized with their reasons for attempting to come to the US but that he believed they wouldn't "easily assimilate into the United States."
"They're overwhelmingly rural people," Kelly said. "In the countries they come from, fourth-, fifth-, sixth-grade educations are kind of the norm. They don't speak English — obviously that's a big thing. They don't speak English. They don't integrate well. They don't have skills."
When Trump chose John Keely, former four-star Marine General, as Chief of Staff, did you deceived yourself in it believing he would usher-in even modicum of decency to the White House. If you believed such, you was naive to the point of dagerous. Kelly would have to pass a litmus test (quite a few) and his inner core seems to well fit Trump's Paleozoic Era regressivism (and other associated "isms"). I will also suggest you have never served in the US military.

And that leads to this....

Waiting to be taken from their parents or take and caged like an animal.

If you were aware of such images from a country in Europe which practices caging immgrants from a white nation, do you think you might find the practice abhorrent? I serioulsy hope your first thought was "yes, it is disguting". As I frequently state, if you do not find the pracitce abhrorrent and well outside waht we once knew as Americana consider clinking off this page.

Here is more from last night's MSNBC, ALL- IN With Chris Hayes.

Trump ad Trumpism is a major problem for humankind. we as a nation are already on a path to irreversible horrors (socially, economically and internationally), Humankind suffers when America suffers.

America is suffering like never before in US History.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Session And Trump's Hillary Clinton "Chasing The Dragon"

Related image

NBC News is exclusively reporting US Attorney General Jeff (I do what I am told) Sessions has ordered Justice Department Prosecutors to question FBI agents about a uranium deal years ago which happened to be an issue involving Hillary Clinton. While the Clinton campaign received some financial benefit from stakeholders in the deal, the deal was approved by the US State Department.

If you need more perspective on what seems a stooge Attorney General chasing the dragon for Donald Trump, check out a perspective from a recent segment of AM Joy.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Jeff Sessions, Roy Moore And Mo Brooks (YOUR GOP)

A Day In The Life

Today is video day. While the majority of our pieces include video segments, we are asking fr a opportunity to occupy a bit of your time and gray matter with what is turning into penultimate examples of a GOP which is fizzling into an abyss of shame and disgust.  While we are posting about this week's House hearing with Jeff Sessions as well as the horrors of Alabama's Ray Moore, we must remained steadfast that what we are seeing must be defeated at every turn. And that defeat starts with your votes.

One US member of Congress dealt with Sessions' attempts to occupy the congressman's allotted five minutes with pure Alabama drivel.  It should be noted the first Democrat member of congress to question Sessions was Michigan's Conyers.  Sessions effectively neutralized Conyers with Gish Gallop drivel common to conservative politicians when they have the advantage of time constraints.
New York Congressman Jeffries also used his five minutes both judiciously and effectively. Linked, here. Think Progress transcript here.

California's Rep. Bass five minutes revealed Session;s utter uneasiness in matters of race and white supremacy. Sessions actually mentioned "skinheads." When is the last time you heard of saw  or heard a person referred to as a "skin head?" Linked, here. CSPAN

California's Rep. Ted Lieu may have exposed sessions as an Attorney General indicative of  a trump appointee. Linked here (18 seconds mark) CSPAN

Texas Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee, moved into the current case against Alabama's GOP Senatorial candidate. Linked, here. CSPAN

Let's segue into the next set of video we offer: Roy Moore accused Predator.

Of course, you know Alabama is about to open an election to replace Trump's Attorney General Jeff ("I don't recall") Sessions.  One candidate-the Republican-, Roy Moore, has been accused by five women now over forty year of age of inappropriate sexual behavior when they were in their teens. One accuser was 14 years of age and a nascent accuser claims potential sexual misconduct at a similar age.  What is the issue? Since the accused was an Alabama District Attorney in the in his late 20s and ealry 30s, his efforts to sexually consort with a 14 year old and what seemed to be case to rape of another young woman, is a problem for most rational people.

Since you have without question heard or read of the issues associated with Moore's potential election to the US Senate, Let's shorten this piece by moving to Moore's horrific defense on Fox News Radio.

On November 9th, Fox News Radio host Sean Hannity: linked here.

The interview was as sad as the reality of Fox New offering Moore an opportunity to lie to its viewers. of course, nothing new for Fox News, right?

Moore has been on a "recoup" and "reframe" campaign since the first woman spoke of her abuse. As days have passed and Moore has lawyered-up. we are getting glimpses of a potential defense (or in-artful retorts).  Moore' Lawyer sat for an interview with MSNBC's Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruehl earlier today.

Short version:  recall Moore indicated in the Hannity interview he would not date an 18 year old (as a 30 something man) without approval of the young girl's mother (or parent).

The full morning segment (10:06 minutes)

If you watched the video, you should feel totally squeamish about Moore and his lawyer. If you do to have any feelings of uncomfort with the Moore accusation and his lawyer' appearance on MSNBC, you should consider counseling.

Here is another perspective on Moore and the Great State of Alabama, a congressional representative and the GOP. Mo Brooks, AL-R, runs down a set of tapes while answering about his support for Moore.

Another archive for Republican history.

VIDEO Quick Hit: Shusssh Senator Kamala Harris; Don't Make Sessions "Nervous"

The Senate may question Sessions and other Trump stooges, but Kamala Harris had best mind her manners.

For the second consecutive hearing John McCain has interrupted questioning from California Democrat Senator Kamala Harris. While Harris questioning was direct and focused on avoiding another case of a rambling witness (with consideration of strict time limits), it is more than coincidental that McCain takes the junior member of the committee to task. Notice I avoided reference to Harris's gender and race with regard to McCain holding his interruptions as Senators from Connecticut and New Mexico also directly challenged an evasive witness.

Let's start with McCain's interruption of Harris during questioning of the acting director of the Justice Department.

As to yesterday's hearing?

We offer the full six plus minutes of Senator Harris's opportunity to question Jeff ("I do not recall") Sessions.

Wouldn't you know during subsequent discussion of the interruptions would garner what seemed to be a sexist remark from a noted Trump talking head/presstitute.

It was refreshing to see Ms. Powers address the remarks.

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski felt compelled to also address the issues.  It is a Baby Boomer male issue without question. It also seems via McCain to be an issue with an undercurrent of one staying in it's place.

Jeff Sessions: Anti-Pot Fiend To Revisit Obama Drug Prosecution And Incarceration

Occupy Democrats
According to the U.S. wastes $51,000,000,000 annually waging the War on Drugs. In 2015 alone, 574,641 people were arrested for possession of marijuana. 1 in 11 Americans is locked up, the highest rate in the world.
Trump's Attorney General spoke today with orders for prosecutors to pursue the harshest of penalty for drug-related crimes.  Does that mean if caught with a small quantity of Pot, the offender can look forward to many years in prison?

How about all of the non-voters and third party voters who so longed to add relaxed pot laws to the federal register?

Most Wanted? Trump's Russia Facilitators

Why does it seem Trump affiliates don't last very long in service to the nation?  We wager, Jeff Sessions isn't long for his role as US Attorney General.

The following list of Americans who seemingly worked to satisfy the wishes of Donald Trump are looking like a US Most Wanted poster.

Image may contain: 5 people, people smiling, meme and text

As revelations of the most untimely of meetings between a future candidate for US Attorney general and a well known Russian ambassador (and known Putin stooge and often referred to as a spy) comes to the light of day, rational Americans should take note.  CNN published a great segment regarding Trump's Atty General and his involvement with the well known operative.

Image may contain: 1 person, text

An even more intriguing broadcast segmetn ran this past Wednesday night via MSNBC's Chris Hayes. What follows is an interview with former Trump adviser Carter Page. Ity is seriously a must watch.
Of course, the world knows former army General Mike Flynn has fallen into US history via his association with Trump. Flynn was Trump's first "You're Fired" for his meetings with Russian Officials and subsequent lying to Trump VP (Mike Pence) about the meetings.
Who is next JD Gordon?

Obviously Kushner isn't going to meet the You're Fired guy as he is connected to Trump via marriage.

Elizabeth Warren Censored From Speaking On The Senate Floor; Male Democrats Pickup Her Message

I am certain you know Donald Trump has nominated Alabama Senator Jeff B. Sessions to head the Department of Justice.  Sessions has a legislative and legal background which without debate should disqualifying any consideration for leading the nation's law enforcement from the federal level.

Sessions's record in his home state of Alabama is so socially deplorable and overtly biased against African-Americans, he was previously denied a seat on the Federal bench.  None other than the widower of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Coretta Scott King, crafted a letter to then Senator Strum Thurmond. The letter is posted below via a friend of The Progressive Influence, Jon S. Randal.

The letter is front and center in the news based on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's virtual censorship of Fellow Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren. Senator Warren attempted to read the letter.

I offered a bit of background via NPR (2016).

A perspective on warren's Censorship from speaking on the Senate floor.

Jon S. Randal

Here is some background on the Coretta Scott King letter that is in the news today.
As you may have heard, Senator Elizabeth Warren was censured by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans last night for daring to read a letter written 30 years ago by Coretta Scott King, the widow of Martin Luther King Jr.
The letter was opposing the nomination of Jeff Sessions for a federal judgeship. Sessions, now an Alabama senator, has been nominated for attorney general. The attorney general is responsible for leading the United States Department of Justice regarding legal affairs and is the chief law enforcement officer and chief lawyer of the United States government.
This letter by Coretta Scott King, questioning Session's ability to be fair when he had a record of intimidating elderly, black voters, was sent to the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Strom Thurmond. King asked that the letter be part of the hearing record.
It never happened. The letter never made it into the congressional record three decades ago. Thurmond, who has been accused of racism himself, never made the letter public. It just simply disappeared in 1986, and it only surfaced again when an unidentified person leaked the letter to the Washington Post before Sessions’ January confirmation hearings.
According to the president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, “We should remember that this letter was somehow never made part of the official Senate Judiciary Committee record in 1986, was reportedly kept from public release by the chair of the Committee in 2017, and now has been blocked from being read aloud in prime time by the Senate Majority Leader."
"The deliberate silencing of Mrs. King’s voice for 30 years is a story of astonishing magnitude.”

Image may contain: text

McConnell and his Republican colleagues used a parliamentary procedure to censor Senator Warren, but it is worth noting other Democrats used the same letter as a prop for their podium opposition to the Session's confirmation. Senator Jeff Merkley, D-OR, tweeted his concern with McConnell's censorship of "the woman" while allowing letter derivative reading from men in the US Senate.
.@SenatorTomUdall @SenSherrodBrown @SenSanders and I read  w/o censure. Why silence only the woman @SenWarren

Think Progress reports.

If there is a rational person in America who feel women get the same treatment and consideration from Republicans and Democrats, the person isn't current events nor news savvy.

The Whirling Wind And Party Ideology That Reminds Of 9/11

Re-blog from The Whirlingwind Dot Com......

We have to comment. The images chosen and depicted by Benjamin T. Moore, Jr. have a common thread. With an exception for Mike Lee (of whom I know nothing) the pictured Senators have a past or current background that reaches into Civil Rights. Their reach has been (Sessions) and is (Paula and Cruz) very much anti-Civil rights. Their common bound speaks volumes about their mindsets, their social paradigms and how they legislate. I am stopping just shy of calling each Paul and Cruz are not in the Senate to legislate. ~ The Pardu

Radical Republicans Carry On Osama’s Legacy

radical republicans carry on osamas legacy header Radical Republicans Carry On Osamas Legacy
by Benjamin T. Moore, Jr.
If you believe the official account of the events on September 11, 2001, Osama Bin Laden masterminded a plan to bring this nation to its knees. We lost 2,978 innocent civilians on that day by conservative estimates. Because of this, we launched two wars, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. We’ve spent trillions of dollars, ruined our economy and sacrificed 10′s of thousands of the treasure of this nation. Thanks to certain Radical Republicans, it turns out, Osama could have been more effective by simply donating to one of several Republican “Super-PACs.”

Radical Republicans

I am old enough to remember the political parties before the Republicans lost their damn minds. No, I’m not going to play the false equivalence game and pretend to be “fair and balanced” like FAUX News. Sometimes, one of the two sides in a dispute is clearly and unequivocally wrong! I can recall when the Republicansbelieved in fiscal responsibility. Now they merely pay lip service to it. Republicans used to believe in smaller government. Now, they’re fascist.
“Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.”
Benito Mussolini
They care more about the wishes of the corporations who own them than they do about the actual constituents they purport to represent. The Republicans I remember growing up, tended to be against wars and if anything leaned towardsisolationism.” The radical Republicans of today, haven’t seen a seen a war they’re not in favor of.
The only things they’re not in favor of are the very things that would make this nation stronger, energy independent and would boost the standard of living and quality of life for United States citizens.
Radical Republicans were against bailing out our automotive industry. Think about this for a moment. During WWII, it was our automotive industry that tooled up to produce tanks, firearms and many of the necessities that made it possible for us to prevail. Were it not for the manufacturing base provided by our automotive industries, we all might well be speaking German today. That is, those of us left alive to live under a totalitarian dictatorship.
radical republicans detroit Radical Republicans Carry On Osamas Legacy
Not the Detroit I remember.
Even if we ignore the national security implications, think of all the jobs that would have been lost. Not just the direct jobs lost because of factory closings, but all the additional downstream jobs in the companies that produce the products the automotive industries require. Think of the small businesses that depend on the people in communities who are employed by the automotive industry. Mitt Romney’s Op-Ed entitled, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt,” should be instructional. Detroit has indeed gone bankrupt. Look at Detroit. It is rapidly spiralling down into a “3rd World” experience. This began when the automotive industries began pulling out and relocating. Trouble is, many of these manufacturing plants are now in communities all around the nation. Possibly there are a few employing people in your community. Had we taken the advice of the radical Republicans, you might have been surprised to find your own community looking like Detroit.

Radical Republicans Or Closet Terrorists?

radical republicans pearl harbor attack Radical Republicans Carry On Osamas LegacyWhat if a foreign power attacked the United States and killed 45,000 of our citizens? Men, women and children? I want you to actually consider this for a moment. What would you think ought to be done? When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 killing 2,402 of our sailors and wounding 1,247, we dove into WWII which resulted in nuclear weapons being used for the first – and hopefully the last – time in recorded history. When we were attacked on September 11, 2001, we counted 2,978 fatalities. We went to war with two nations – one of which had absolutely nothing to do with the attack – and spent trillions of dollars.
Yet, each year, 45,000 of our brother and sister American citizens die because they have no health insurance. That’s over 15 times the number of people we lost in the September 11 attacks… each year! Do you think we ought to do something about it? How can anyone claim to be a patriot and profess a love for this nation, be against a law that will potentially save 45,000 American lives? Radical Republicans are.
Radical Republicans make Osama Bin Laden look like a piker! He only murdered 2,978 of our citizens. The policy the Radical Republicans are doggedly pursuing will murder 45,000 of our citizens each year. We sent Seal Team 6 to get Osama. Who are we sending after these terrorists?

Backstabbing Our Troops The Radical Republican Forte`

radical republicans wounded veterans Radical Republicans Carry On Osamas Legacy
What about them? Can they stand a Government shut down?
If you’re old enough, you will remember when the Republican Party didn’t merely pay lip service to being pro-military. They actually respected and honored those who had served out country in uniform. Being a veteran put you at the head of the line for a job when you returned to civilian life. During the Vietnam war when there was a draft, many times employers would hold your job for you upon your return. Not so now. The families of many active duty soldiers depend on “food stamps” to feed their families during their loved one’s absence.
Radical Republicans in their zeal to stomp on minorities and people of color, are doing all they can to defund and under fund our food stamp safety net. Because of their policies, according to the Department of Defense, some 5,000 families of active duty servicemen will have their food stamps cut. Imagine what that does to the man or woman fighting in the field. How can he or she concentrate on their job while worrying about whether or not their children are going to bed hungry.
While we’re on the subject of hunger in America, 52.32 million people – 1 in 6 – many of them children, are struggling with hunger right here in this country which likes to boast of its “exceptionalism.” When Russian President, Vladimir Putin said that America was not exceptional, many of these same Radical Republicans took offense. Well damnit! The truth hurts doesn’t it?  How the Hell are we exceptional when 52.32 million of our citizens are going to bed hungry just like people in 3rd World Nations?
radical republicans bridge collapse minneapolis Radical Republicans Carry On Osamas Legacy
The entire span of the Interstate 35W bridge collapsed in Minneapolis.
Our infrastructure is collapsing around our ears. We’ve got bridges all across this nation that have been marked as unsafe and closed. Some have even fallen down costing lives. We’ve got thousands of veterans, both men and women returning from war in need of jobs. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives under the leadership(?) of John Boehner have refused to pass a single jobs bill. They’ve refused to pass a single bill that would help our returning troops. Oh, by the way, they have voted to repeal Obama Care 41 times. They have caused the United States credit rating to be downgraded. At the time of my writing this, we’re headed for another Government shut down. Did I mention we have troops who are currently fighting a war? Might be nice if we paid them.
Who needs terrorist when you’ve got Radical Republicans doing everything in their power to destroy America. I’m sure Osama Bin Laden is spinning at the bottom of the sea saying, “Damn! If I’d only known!”

Ted Cruz, Jesse Helms, GOP And Rachel Maddow

We posted a few hours ago an Al Sharpton segment related to Ted Cruz's "stake-out" as the chief and supreme racist of the US Senate. In one stage performance,  Cruz has carved a niche in the US Senate from which most tend to hide and others may find abhorrent. Cruz placed an identity on the GOP via his male Metro-sexual proclamations regarding former Senator Jesse Helms.

One can only speculate Jeff Sessions is happy to have one who is younger and almost as brazen as a younger Sessions.  Years ago Sessions lost-out on a US District Court Judge appointment due to his track record of public comment that were Jeff Sessions racist (ABC News linked). It has been reported Sessions was turned down as a prospect for nomination to the SCOTUS in a previous administration. Cruz has been elected to the US Senate and is paradigmed with some of the most oppressive social views in modern times.

Mediaite also reported on Cruz's "confession."

Maddow could barely contain how unbelievably stunned and just a little pissed off she was at Cruz suggesting that the Senate could use a hundred more people like a man who was whistling Dixie just to make his black colleague cry.
Watch the video below, via MSNBC:

More on Ted Cruz's Senate Hero: Jeff Sessions linked.

We at the TPI are ecstatic Ted Cruz has branded his political party.  The Texas Senator often has the words "rising star" of the GOP.  A few months ago the rising star was Marco Rubio.  We might have observed Cruz as a model of a party that has for decades attempted to mask its true grit with lies and mind altering demagoguery.  What better model could Reince  Priebus's party have than the eight-month Senator from the Great State of Texas?
