The Daily GOP Ignominious: Trump, TrumpCare, Repal ObamaCare And Your GOP

ObamaCare Facts dot com

Have you followed the developing story of US Senate efforts to ramrod an ObamaCare repeal through the chamber prior to a September 30th, procedural deadline? If you have followed the story, you know a preponderance of US Senators are ready to cast a vote to effectively turn national medical coverage legislation over to the states. If you haven't followed the story, follow it below.

We start with an MSNBC segment via the network's Ali Velshi.
The details from a liberal network perspective.

Take a minute and watch what happens when GOP elected operatives appear on camera while totally ill-equipped to  speak intelligently (without lying) about a bill the party wants to rush through to a vote. Wisconsin's Ron Johnson should have declined the interview.

If you have a few more (video) minutes take time to watch "Mr. Quip" Vice President Pence avoid questions about pre-existing conditions guarantees with a false statement about a Thomas Jefferson quote.
False
Pence"Thomas Jefferson said, ‘Government that governs least governs best.’ "
— Mike Pence on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 in comments on 'Fox & Friends'

Is there anyone in the Trump cabal who can wear a collar called credible? Maybe Pence should also avoid on camera interviews. A decent thought, but how can one campaign to replace Trump if he doesn't show on Fox & Friends with misinformation to feed the shows absorbent audience.

If you are a news geek or a person who enjoys Jimmy Kimmel, late night ABC, you are following his point-counterpoint with Senator Cassidy (R-LA) and the aggregate GOP talking heads who support TrumpCare. The current kerfuffle started after Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue about the post-birth health of his second child (born with a serious/chronic heart disease).

As Mitch McConnell moved his Senate GOP Majority towards an ObamaCare "kill bill," Cassidy appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and stuck his naive foot in his mouth all the way through the heel of the foot. As you watch an excerpt from the Kimmel show (from May of this year) think about what is currently transpiring with the Senate efforts to kill medical care for millions while offering significant tax cuts to the nation's Top .01% (many of which financially supported Trump's election).

It is also important to note Kimmel's is catching the wrath of conservatives who are obviously following tightly transcribed talking points which include one rotund New Jersey governor referring to Kimmel as "not a serious person...on this matter."

Kimmel vs the GOP is one item and a sure loss for the GOP. Kimmel's personal experience with chronic ailments didn't relegate his family to financial ruin. Think of families in the hundreds of thousands who receive similarly dire health diagnosis without the comfort of millions to secure the best healthcare.

What does the bill actually take away from current ObamaCare recipients (and the recipients of medical coverage under ObamaCare)? The nation's (and possibly the world's) most credible news sources, NPR sums-up the Cassidy-Graham bill as such.

"The Graham-Cassidy plan would take health insurance coverage away from millions of people, eliminate critical public health funding, devastate the Medicaid program, increase out-of-pocket costs and weaken or eliminate protections for people living with pre-existing conditions," says Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, in a statement.
Here's what it does:
Graham-Cassidy essentially deconstructs all of the major programs created by the Affordable Care Act, gathers up the money and hands it over to states to run their own health care programs.
It gets rid of both the subsidies that help people buy individual health insurance policies and the reimbursements to insurance companies for offering price breaks on copayments and deductibles to the lowest-income customers.
It rolls back the Obamacare Medicaid expansion that was adopted by 31 states and Washington, D.C., and it eliminates the Basic Health Program that was created under the ACA and implemented in New York and Minnesota.
All the money that currently goes to those initiatives would instead be distributed to the states as block grants that would particularly benefit those states that did not expand Medicaid earlier and those states with lower health care costs.
And, what do some in the White House think about the developing bill and possible vote?  Politico reports at last one White House officials has stated they 'don't know what to think" the developing bill.  (Talking Points Memo)

Under normal condition's I would adjoin the Politico report with a question like: "Can you believe that?"  As I consider Trump and his GOP, the need for such a rhetorical question doesn't present a real need.

Finally, how does the healthcare industry rate the GOP "kill ObamaCare" bill. Huffington Post link.

It seems health care isn't buying the GOP tax cut bill.

Jimmy Kimmel's Heartfelt Story Riled GOP Heart Throb

Image result for kimmelJimmy Kimmel gave the world a glimpse at the value of life when a person or a family has medical coverage. Conversely, his message was stark and poignant: what is like like for people who have no such coverage and no way to afford care critical to saving or sustaining life.
Kimmel performed a full 13-minute monologue. We have elected to post a condensed 2-minute version.

From the heart to the psyche of most Americans. Actually, to the heart of most people worldwide.

Alas, with an exception. an exception which probably embodies the heart and soul of the majority of Americans who consider themselves Republican. Joe Walsh one term US Congressman spoke via Twitter as I am certain millions feel. How disgusting and ideology, how disgusting a political party, how disgusting a wish of death mindset?

Sorry Jimmy Kimmel: your sad story doesn't obligate me or anybody else to pay for somebody else's health care.

Jimmy Kimmel: Medical Care, ACA Remote Access Medical (RAM)

Image result for Jimmy Kimmel reveals newborn son's open-heart surgery
As a person who never watches the 10:30 or 11:30 PM (depending on time zones) network TV talk shows, I had an experience this morning worthy of sharing.

You may have seen the Jimmy Kimmel monologue from last night;s show. If you didn't see the opening minutes of the show, we offer it now. Kimmel spoke about his son;s immediate after birth heart surgery. During the course of the monologue Kimmel, unabashedly spoke to the total ignorance and insensitivity of the business of "Pre-existing conditions."

Think for a second about the horrors of an insurance company verdict of pain or death, if the suffer or their parents have no opportunity to pay for an illness or disease deemed "pre-existing" by some pre-care insurance clerk or underwriter.

Americans fail to appreciate and understand the full measure of compassion and humanity derived from the Affordable Care Act, by people who need some form of medical care.  We often seem to forget without Barack Obama and nancy Pelosi's heart numbing fit for passing the bill, all insurance companies wrote policies which prohibited coverage for pre-existing conditions.  People who applied for insurance coverage did so with full knowledge the carrier would reject them, or full knowledge the carrier would deem their condition "pre-existing."
Conditions can be broken down into two further categories, according to Lisa Smith of Investopedia:[3]
Most insurance companies use one of two definitions to identify such conditions. Under the "objective standard" definition, a pre-existing condition is any condition for which the patient has already received medical advice or treatment prior to enrollment in a new medical insurance plan. Under the broader, "prudent person" definition, a pre-existing condition is anything for which symptoms were present and a prudent person would have sought treatment.
Imagine decades upon decades of such politics from an industry which for sake of Profit & Loss dynamics promulgated literal death panel decision. If you see the insensitive and ridiculousness of such politics and restrictions, you really can not avoid the reality of GOP acceptance of the insurance company death panels.  The ACA stop the proliferation of such policies.

We now find Congress immersed in seeking votes to repeal the ACA and replace it possibly with watered-down versions of pre-existing condition guidelines or move back to no pre-existing conditions.

And to think over half of Americans who bothered to vote voted to repeal (and maybe) replace the ACA. We have grown to be an unfeeling and insensitive nation replete with much Ayn Randism fostered by the Republican Party. No matter the kerfuffles and intra-party fighting of the current struggle to repeal the ACA, We remind without the election of Barack Obama, 20 million Americans would have suffered needlessly to the point in some cases of death.

The following 60 Minutes piece serves as a bit of an anthem as I consider the need for medical coverage.

United Airlines: Serious Management Problems (Video)

"Corporations are people, my friend!" Mitt Romney

A bad system will beat a good person every time. - W. Edwards Deming
A bad system will beat a good person every time. W. Edwards Deming

You're Not Mad at United Airlines; You're Mad at America

Before we re-visit the United Airlines "re-accommodate debacle, how about a quick run through a couple of additional cases of chronically poor management. Poor management trickles down to poor customer service. In many cases, poor customers service leads to revenues losses and litigation. Ultimately, the organization will reach to recoup its loss in a manner with which we are all too familiar: Employee reductions or layoffs.

Apparently, the airline has other skeletons in the proverbial socially inhuman and poor management closet.

Watch a few video, Some sadly serious and others humor for sake of delivering social and corporate critical messages.

The proper way to handle clear cases of sexism, racism and other "isms."

Alas, United Airlines experienced similar problems a couple of weeks ago with two youngsters and issues related to attire.

Here is what happens when corporations fail to act with any of humanity and professionalism.

Morning Java: Fox News Deflects on Government Shutdown And Reports A Satirist Story As Fact

Enjoy while the caffeine kicks-in!!!!

How about some GOP insanity and low information video to go along with your Sumatra,  Kopi Luwak IndonesianKenya AA, Tanzanian, French Roast, Kona Coast, 'Black Ivory' [Thai Elephant Dong],  Jamaica Blue Mountain, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Costa Rican, Espresso,  Moyobama Peruvian Organic, Indonesian Blend, Coffee Latte, Kauai Blend (often bitter), Colombian Red Lips, or your Folgers 100% Colombian?
                                         Coffees of the World

We start with a 30 second political commercial set to air during Sunday afternoon football games. Do you know anything about the BMW?  No, we are not speaking about a well crafted and marketed automobile. We are writing about people who "Bitch, Moan, and Whine" (BMW) the point of obnoxious.

We will start with a bit of Obama Derangement Syndrome.   Fox News continues to manipulate its viewers with information straight from the mind of satirist. We have embed a short clip below The clip is classic low information lies and manipulation fro Fox News. Before, the network unleashed an insane low information clip segment, producers consumed approximately one minute of air-time laying the groundwork with GOP and conservative deflection regarding the government shutdown.

Watch as three Fox News entertainers, including the patented leggy one on the couch, herd viewers towards an outright lie. Remember,  the GOP has sought a government shutdown since just after Barack Obama was inaugurated 44th President of the United States.

The art of propaganda. via Fox News

It really doesn't take much cognitive acuity to realize a President of the United States would be completely insane to even think about making a personal donation as stated in the clip. Any competent propagandist knows his/her target group and they know what lights a fire in the target group. The propagandist will in most cases focus on delivery and reinforcement of their message to sycophants vs. expending significant energy working to capture converts.  Thus we have the Fox News retention model; retain those who are in the corral while feeding the sycophants copious doses of red meat.

Fox News producers and managers know full well the GOP has railed about shutting down the government to the point of strategy and mantra.  Anyone with an IQ over 40 knows no President of the United States would force a shutdown of the very government she/he leads as president an Commander-in-Chief. Fox News producers also know that President Obama would not dare propose, nor consider personally paying members of any religious organization.  If you want to add Ketchup to the mix, how insane would it be for President Obama to allow the thought of personal support for a Muslim Museum?

The segment was an example of pure insanity, correct?  Your sanity, intellect and rational thought is taking you to a wrong place.  Let's consider the Fox News clip in the following context.

Bill Maher and Alexander Pelosi seeks out low information people.  Pelosi evens finds an Obama hater!

Jimmy Kimmel and the now viral low information video. I can watch this at least twice per day, and derive significant satisfaction that I am neither low information nor a pawn for uber wealthy plutocrats.

You should now share two psychic states, One, the euphoria deceived from that mug of caffeinated Java. Second, you have seen the horror of low information people. People who will undoubtedly vote for the GOP in the 2013 and 2016 elections. People who would turn our nation over to the insanity to the GOP. A political party that has become nothing more than a legislative front for uber wealthy plutocrats like the Koch brothers.

Can someone help me understand why President Obama and the Democrats would want to shutdown the federal government? Are over compensated so-called journalists failing to ask the GOP mouth-pieces who book on television shows, why the president would want shutdown and improving economy?
