Utah Land For Sale (Soon)

Before I go on into this let, allow me to state there is not yet any concrete our public admission the reversal of Utah land policy will lead to environmental destruction and geological raping of the land. But, allow your mind to wonder a bit. Did you find any reason to believe the land won't end deeded to the Kochs and subject to the horrors of the Kochs and their ilk?

 Image result for utah landscape

Image result for utah landscape On December 28, 2016, soon to be former President Obama signed legislation to protect western regions in Utah against the chopping at the bit hands of Wichita would be oligarchs who earn billions from drilling for oil or excavating coal. Now, why would the nation's 45th president fly off today to Utah s announced enact a reversal of the legislation? While the question is rhetorical as we consider 45's wish to metaphorically (legislation et al) wipe Obama out US History, why open sacred and some of Earth's truly beautiful vistas and lands of Utah to land KILLING greedy oligarchs. Another rhetorical question.

Yes, the Koch's visited Mar-A-Lago shortly after 45 took office. Yes, the Koch undoubtedly provided millions to elect 45. The Kochs will surely purchase the land If the Chinese don't out bind them.

The Business Insider December 2016, If the other lands depicted in this piece are free of prospective oil drilling, well we may keep them as Earth's beauties and national treasure.

While any and all questions posed by the writer (above) are rhetorical; with obvious answers, it is important to remind the nation of their election choice.  Especially despicable are those who elected Trump via their decision to not vote at all. The image above is not an oil field owned by the Koch brothers. Yet, Trump signing for opening the KXL Pipeline could lead to billions in land rights revenue for the Koch's.  Yes, they own land rights in Canada and KXL oil derivatives will come from Koch owned land.
There is absolutely no reason to offer the Utah lands for sale without considerations of the greediest of Americans and international industrialist.

Bush Wants To Do What To Medicaid And Medicare?

What issues do the Koch brothers and the GOP have against Americans who sustain life via Medicaid and Medicare?

A quick glance at the two Human Services programs.

For sake of time (our time and your time) we will not dig deeper into the demographics.

In the past few days Jeb Bush has tickled the Koch brothers with talk of eliminating Medicaid and "Phasing out" Medicare. Imagine you and me at the mercy of insurance companies and horrific hospital administration without aid for older Americans?
And this comes from a candidate who claims to be a moderate...
Posted by Salon on Friday, July 24, 2015
How about a look and read o the Koch brothers agenda for America via the Bernie Sanders (I-VT) webpage.

In 1980, David Koch ran as the Libertarian Party’s vice-presidential candidate in 1980.
Let’s take a look at the 1980 Libertarian Party platform
Here are just a few excerpts of the Libertarian Party platform that David Koch ran on in 1980:
  • “We urge the repeal of federal campaign finance laws, and the immediate abolition of the despotic Federal Election Commission.”
  • “We favor the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs.”
  • “We oppose any compulsory insurance or tax-supported plan to provide health services, including those which finance abortion services.”
  • “We also favor the deregulation of the medical insurance industry.”
  • “We favor the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system. Pending that repeal, participation in Social Security should be made voluntary.”
  • “We propose the abolition of the governmental Postal Service. The present system, in addition to being inefficient, encourages governmental surveillance of private correspondence.  Pending abolition, we call for an end to the monopoly system and for allowing free competition in all aspects of postal service.”
  • “We oppose all personal and corporate income taxation, including capital gains taxes.”
  • “We support the eventual repeal of all taxation.”
  • “As an interim measure, all criminal and civil sanctions against tax evasion should be terminated immediately.”
  • “We support repeal of all law which impede the ability of any person to find employment, such as minimum wage laws.”
  • “We advocate the complete separation of education and State.  Government schools lead to the indoctrination of children and interfere with the free choice of individuals. Government ownership, operation, regulation, and subsidy of schools and colleges should be ended.”
  • “We condemn compulsory education laws … and we call for the immediate repeal of such laws.”
  • “We support the repeal of all taxes on the income or property of private schools, whether profit or non-profit.”
  • “We support the abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency.”
  • “We support abolition of the Department of Energy.”
  • “We call for the dissolution of all government agencies concerned with transportation, including the Department of Transportation.”
  • “We demand the return of America's railroad system to private ownership. We call for the privatization of the public roads and national highway system.”
  • “We specifically oppose laws requiring an individual to buy or use so-called "self-protection" equipment such as safety belts, air bags, or crash helmets.”
  • “We advocate the abolition of the Federal Aviation Administration.”
  • “We advocate the abolition of the Food and Drug Administration.”
  • “We support an end to all subsidies for child-bearing built into our present laws, including all welfare plans and the provision of tax-supported services for children.”
  • “We oppose all government welfare, relief projects, and ‘aid to the poor’ programs. All these government programs are privacy-invading, paternalistic, demeaning, and inefficient. The proper source of help for such persons is the voluntary efforts of private groups and individuals.”
  • “We call for the privatization of the inland waterways, and of the distribution system that brings water to industry, agriculture and households.”
  • “We call for the repeal of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.”
  • “We call for the abolition of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.”
  • “We support the repeal of all state usury laws.”
In other words, the agenda of the Koch brothers is not only todefund Obamacare.  The agenda of the Koch brothers is to repeal every major piece of legislation that has been signed into law over the past 80 years that has protected the middle class, the elderly, the children, the sick, and the most vulnerable in this country.

Jeb Bush is outpacing all 2016 candidates for the presidency ad he hasn't yet officially declared as a candidate. The fact that he is avoiding a declaration to skirt campaigning financing issues is nefarious to put it mildly.

Ezra Klein's VOX published the stark reality and result of Bush's political subterfuge: Campaign Finance Visualized.

It seems the Kochs are driving the 2016 run for the presidency just as they boasted. Bush with his attacks on Medicaid and Medicare seems to be the perfect stooge Oval Office holder.

Democrats Who Are Beyond Blue Dogs!

____________________________

NINE DEMOCRATS VOTE WITH REPUBLICANS TO APPROVE KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE — Here are the traitors, DINOs (Dems in name only, or POMAs as I call them). These nine Democratic senators voted with all the Republicans present to approve the  Keystone XL Pipeline, already approved by the House. If both bills can be reconciled and passed, President Obama will veto the bill. It will take 67 senators for an override of the president's veto in the Senate and it would also require the votes of 2/3 of those present in the House to override a presidential veto. If all 435 members of the House of Representatives vote, then at least 290 must vote to override Obama's veto. This probably won't happen. Nevertheless, it's discouraging to see Democrats supporting the Fossil Fuel "nail in America's coffin" because the XL Pipeline symbolizes a doubling down on oil global warming versus a move to renewable energy. Shame on these nine senators!

The New York Times published an informative piece about KXL and its political umbrella. An umbrella with a fabric made of US dollars.

You might also link to view a list of US Congressman who receive "subsidies" from Big Oil and Gas.

Unfortunately, the list is undated and is noticeably absent Democrats who are joining the GOP in support of projects that provide no real value to the US citizens while providing copious amounts of money to uber wealth oil and industrial barons.

Despite and absence of Democrats whoa re increasing voting to support Big Oil and Gas, the list certainly carries a message. it speaks to why the GOP will introduce and pass a bill authorize full construction of the KXL, while maintaining a hands-off of any bills related to jobs and the economy.

Tracy Knauss's POMAs are a shameful group of legislators who warrant a bit of exploration regarding their contribution from Big Oil and Gas. Stay tuned for a look at the nine POMA's and how they may or may not accept dark money form industrialist or their front dark money operations.

The US Oligarchy Grows

Friend of the TPI Tracy Knauss.......

THE MID TERM ELECTION: A GREEN WAVE — Americans would be shocked to know that we are now an oligarchy run as a fascist state. Sounds like some Third World nation. But that's where we are. Big business and our federal government are becoming inseparable. Government now lives to do the will of the capitalists, who have no conscience when it comes to social, economic and environmental rights. The Supreme Court has opened the flood gates to unlimited campaign money, equating money with free speech. Accordingly, as the record now shows, the GOP far outspent the Democrats in these midterms. And this money buys access. It determines which laws are passed or blocked. Call it legalized bribery. Thank you Supremes. Now we must try to educate the electorate about this dire threat to the stability of what was an American democracy. Social scientists from Princeton and Northwestern universities proved we the people have ZERO chance of having legislation passed. But the richest Americans and largest corporations can buy legislators and their allegiance. This will become apparent to most everyone over the next two years as history's worst "do nothing" Congress fails to legislate meaningful laws for the American people. Hopefully this will enlighten the electorate to the error of their voting decisions and will bring about real change in 2016. Stay tuned for additional insight as the exit poll data is analyzed over the coming days. And people wake up to realize the bad dream wasn't a nightmare, it was real. Too real.

Kochs Bristle In Response To Real Media

This past September, Rolling Stone published a piece regarding the horrors of the Koch brothers empire.

On September 24th, Tom Dickinson published the pieceInside the Koch Brothers' Toxic Empire, with the following by-line.
Together, Charles and David Koch control one of the world's largest fortunes, which they are using to buy up our political system. But what they don't want you to know is how they made all that money.

By now you should know the Kochs well enough to know they are not only two of the wealthiest men in the world, they also have a desire to reign in US government. They are Libertarian and occupy the far-right hemisphere of Libertarianism. "Libertarianism," an ideology that I strongly feel is conservative with little remaining vestiges of liberalism and individual freedoms. I have yet to meet or read about a Libertarian who manifest actual liberal views. In fact, I more often than not find staunch conservatives, bigots, racist and quick moniker-ed as "libertarian." The Kochs, the Pauls, and Jesse Ventura are classic and without question examples of my contempt for the ideology. But, I digress.

Needless to say, the Kochs took great exception to the Rolling Stone's piece and fired off a response. There is one thing about the Kochs they will dig and manipulate (social and political) dirt by the tons, but do not like having their labor exposed in any manner. They are especially averse to attribution back to their marionette strings lined with shadowy money.

The Kochs responded to Rolling Stone with an obvious post legal brief/public relations diatribe. The diatribe included a direct attack on Tom Dickinson. On September 29th, the surly industrial oligarch's response was addressed by Tom Dickinson: Koch Industries Responds to Rolling Stone – And We Answer Back
"Koch Facts" calls our story "dishonest and misleading." A point-by-point rebuttal.
Read more  (Including this: "The salient feature of Koch's response is that the company does not argue the core facts of our 9,000-word expose. Instead, Koch targets the messenger. Koch's top target here is not even Rolling Stone, but me, Tim Dickinson."
If you are an American who has a deep quest for accurate information and are concerned about growing US oligarchy with the Koch on leading white horses, the "We Answer Back" is classic first class journalism and a refreshing treatise regarding the Wichita oligarchs. Dickinson's 14 point retort to the Koch public relations response is  a must read.

Isn't it amazing the uber wealthy Kochs have continue a US government power grab since David Koch provided money and a body for the 1980 Libertarian party as the vice presidential candidate. An image of the 1980 platform (in brief).

I posit the Kochs have added a few anti-US government items to their List of Oligarchy. If you review the 1980 libertarian Party platform excerpt above, you will easily discern an aversion to any regulatory agencies, polices and monitoring. Haven't we seen and felt enough from laissez-faire GOP: "FREE MARKETS: No regulation." The moniker even wore thin for US conservatives as it was changed post Bush to "FREE MARKETS." When did you last hear or read a Republican speak of "no regulation?"

The Kochs are uncharacteristic in their attention to any article, comment or sentence leveled against them. They are of such privilege, they seem to have never learned that even the filthy rich and obscenely opulent cannot have it "all things Koch."

In 2013, the Koch's public relations squad apparently requested a story correction form MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. Well, the effort did not end as desired with yet another Koch trophy on their PR mantel. Pay particular attention to the segment start and its end starting at the 7:00 minute mark.

Uber wealthy "nation shapers" and "thin-skin (itis)" comes across as a bit of an oxymoron. The Kochs have no worries about scrutiny and criticism from Fox News, CNN, nor either of the major network news shows.

The brothers escape any probing from Sunday Morning news shows as those shows are over-booked with conservatives with the singular focus of Obama Derangement.

First Quarter 2013

Yet, their antennas raise like an angry Cobra with any level of criticism from MSNBC or "unbought' print/online media.

US Media is owned (and directed) by six (6) corporate families. Since 1983, US media have collapsed into corporate families with conservative "overseers." If you think the last statement is a leap, think of any major US corporation that has a documented liberal executive management team. Since, corporations are "not" people and are run by uber wealthy boards of directors and CEOs, the "thought conservatives" run these entities are well within the purview of reality. Additional evidence of Us Media gone Right. Cases in point....

CBS news executives hired David Rhodes, former Fox News exec, to run its news division. Rhodes started his news career out of college at Fox News. I think it safe to assume an anti-progressive paradigm permeates his leadership vision. Hence, Lara Logan's over-the-top lie filled 60 Minutes Benghazi broadcast.

CNN's executive management change to Fred Zucker resulted in an immediate dispatch of all things progressive (Soledad O'Brien, Roland Martin and Ali Velshi as examples) and its "balance" moniker. Have you heard any CNN host speak of "balanced" broadcasting in the past two years? Have you noticed the overwhelming slant towards conservative guest on CNN? The network has full control over who appears on its broadcast segments. Watch to see the extent to which CNN books conservative guest in far greater numbers than progressive guest.

I repeat.
"Yet, their antennas raise like an angry Cobra with any level of criticism from MSNBC or "unbought' print/online media."
Rolling Stone and Dickinson are outside the Octopus grasp of the Kochs. To date, Comcast has not reeled all MSNBC hosts into conservative talking heads (such as Scarborough, Todd, Mitchell). Maddow and Rolling Stone's Dickinson stand as progressive journalist who have not succumbed to growing current event and political entertainment media.

It is delightful to find a couple of real journalist stand against the oligarchs, in a desert of growing subservience to the Kochs and tumbleweed media and politicians rolling around like insect collecting dollars strewn-out for performance,

Kochs And Scrutiny They Detest

Well....stop working to serve as un-elected influencers of the nation. and stop paving a path for a return to GOP administration of a government and a nation.

Thursday afternoon, POLITICO reported that billionaire industrialist David Koch, the oft-vilified bankroller of groups aimed at electingMitt Romney and many Republican congressman, supports many libertarian positions that are antithetical to the Republican Party.

While this may come as a surprise to many, it’s actually quite well-known that the Kochs are socially liberal and fiscally conservative — a.k.a., “libertarian”. Koch was the 1980 vice presidential nominee of the Libertarian Party who campaigned on things like drug legalization and a non-interventionist foreign policy.

“I believe in gay marriage,” Koch told POLITICO. When reminded that Romney and the GOP oppose gay marriage, Koch said, “Well, I disagree with that.

The Washington Post

Fox recently published a piece regarding Koch funding of 44,000 ads in support of conservative political candidates. I do not recall any social liberal ideology that coincides with exclusively running ads for conservative politicians.
The 2012 Mediaite piece states the Koch's are socially liberal and fiscally conservative. The writer had the gall to imply that meant "Libertarian." Let's quickly dispense of the notion Libertarians are socially liberal by simply posting the names two well known Libertarians: Ron Paul and his apple under the tree Rand Paul. Libertarians, like American conservatives are pretty much socially liberal until we think of property rights to deny service to people or it we think about public schools. Also note Ron Paul's white supremacist and white nationalist supporters may not care for characterization of the Libertarian Paul as associated with a social movement identified by the Mediate writer as "socially liberal."

Now, that we have placed the 2012 piece in true perspective lets dig a little into the Kochs.

The Kochs of late have been complaining of getting a "bad rap" from progressive media. The brothers would have you view their empire as indicated via the advertisement below with implied empathy and desire for affinity for each brother and their empire

I posit a veritable Trojan Horse advertisement campaign developed and promulgated to snare the Achilles Hell of US pubic with deeper ambitions towards the US government. These men are classic oligarchs who remind of Vladimir Putin.
From the 2012 Mediaite piece, I offer a much more real and frank view of the Kochs.
Rolling Stone's Tom Dickinson published a piece this past Monday, that is worth any time spent reading and assimilating the Kochs.
Rolling Stone

Together, Charles and David Koch control one of the world's largest fortunes, which they are using to buy up our political system. But what they don't want you to know is how they made all that money
By Tim Dickinson | September 24, 2014

The enormity of the Koch fortune is no mystery. Brothers Charles and David are each worth more than $40 billion. The electoral influence of the Koch brothers is similarly well-chronicled. The Kochs are our homegrown oligarchs; they've cornered the market on Republican politics and are nakedly attempting to buy Congress and the White House. Their political network helped finance the Tea Party and powers today's GOP. Koch-affiliated organizations raised some $400 million during the 2012 election, and aim to spend another $290 million to elect Republicans in this year's midterms. So far in this cycle, Koch-backed entities have bought 44,000 political ads to boost Republican efforts to take back the Senate.                                                                                                                           What is less clear is where all that money comes from. Koch Industries is headquartered in a squat, smoked-glass building that rises above the prairie on the outskirts of Wichita, Kansas. The building, like the brothers' fiercely private firm, is literally and figuratively a black box. Koch touts only one top-line financial figure: $115 billion in annual revenue, as estimated by Forbes. By that metric, it is larger than IBM, Honda or Hewlett-Packard and is America's second-largest private company after agribusiness colossus Cargill. The company's stock response to inquiries from reporters: "We are privately held and don't disclose this information."

But Koch Industries is not entirely opaque. The company's troubled legal history – including a trail of congressional investigations, Department of Justice consent decrees, civil lawsuits and felony convictions – augmented by internal company documents, leaked State Department cables, Freedom of Information disclosures and company whistle-blowers, combine to cast an unwelcome spotlight on the toxic empire whose profits finance the modern GOP.

Under the nearly five-decade reign of CEO Charles Koch, the company has paid out record civil and criminal environmental penalties. And in 1999, a jury handed down to Koch's pipeline company what was then the largest wrongful-death judgment of its type in U.S. history, resulting from the explosion of a defective pipeline that incinerated a pair of Texas teenagers.
Read more: http://www.rollingstone.....
The Koch dream for America spans well back past the 1980 Libertarian presidential campaign of Ed Clark and David Koch (as VP).   In 2011 The Center For American Progress published an extensive report on the "brothers who would be kings.

[quote phraseology via The Pardu] The brief summary of the report findings. (See report pages 1 and 2).
While the Mediaite piece is almost three years old, it is a testament to Koch power and efforts to cleanse their reputations as oligarch industrialist who are:
The TPI
I will add, the Kochs are very much, anti-abortion, work to re-segregate certain school systems (North Carolina in particular), are anti-environmentalist, stand to gain millions from the Keystone XL Pipeline completion and the brothers remain fiercely anti-government regulation. Must I remind of corporate america with little to no attention to federal oversight and monitoring.

  Bernie Madoff

And, from the unfettered sub-prime "Bubble" from Clinton (Glass–Steagalland Bush the US economy looked like this:

The St. Louis Federal Reserve

Yet, the Koch's who can withstand the losses of economic collapse ten times over want no federal regulation as protection against American greed.

The 2011 Mediaite piece seemed to have Koch money all over it. The Kochs are industrialist oligarchs who obviously view government as a tool of the uber wealthy and a hindrance to their ability to run roughshod over a nation and the world.

In closing:

A date chart that does not reflect current Koch net worth at over $80 billion between the two oligarchs.

George Will's Validated As A Koch Stooge!

George Will
The hired demagogue has ethics issues

Anyone who follows politics knows Right and Left wing punditry and paid obiter dictum is big business. The talent for drawing an audience or Pied Pipering readers (or listeners) is a lucrative gift. A gift that harbors danger for those who are not intellectually inclined to question nor enact deep thinking. As I consider that last statement, a gift most dangerous for the 50% of US voters who vote from conservative their socially nourished and regressive paradigm. Unfortunately, the social and political Right has a dominate share of opinion mongers and a equally dominate position of social and mind-altering influence over segments of the nation.

We all know of the more zany and over-the-top Right wing talking-heads: Beck, Limbaugh, Coulter, Ingraham. If you are one who skips church (if church service is an inclination) to view Sunday morning news shows, you are familiar with the McCain, Graham, Krauthammer, Kristol, and Noonan. Yet, there is another conservative demagogue who stands as a deliverer of sophism and conservative dogma without equal. Along with his recent employment at Fox News, George Will has elevated his rhetoric to that caliber common to talking-heads on Murdoch's flagship network.

Media Matters has again scored a major exposition related to Will's pandering with far-right conservative Americans for Prosperity and its money-brokers: Charles and David Koch. The Media Matters piece is partially embed and linked below. But, as I often compliment embed screeds with a bit of historical flavor, I will follow my model with George Will.
Will on President Obama and Atty. General Holder as "Race Baiters."

While no surprise for those of us who follow and know right-wing demagoguery, George Will's nascent appearance at a Koch brothers sponsored event is validation of the fallacy of his punditry. His appearance also speaks volumes about his marketability as a purveyor of anti-progressive, anti-Obama Derangement and mind-shaping, or reinforcing far-right dogma.
________________________________

Washington Post columnist George Will deepened his ethically challenged connections to big-money conservative groups by participating in an Americans for Prosperity summit where prominent Republican presidential hopefuls made their pitch to major donors.
Will's attendance at the Koch-backed group's annual convention comes after he spent months promoting Koch-backed candidates for public offices and advancing Koch-backed policy issues in his syndicated column.
On August 31, Politico reported that Will was part of an "exclusive group of major donors and VIPs" who "dined privately" at AFP's eighth annual Defending the American Dream summit. According toPolitico, the summit "has become an increasingly important stop for aspiring GOP presidential candidates." In previous years, Will has also spoken at the summit and been given AFP's highest honor, the George Washington Award.
Will's cozy relationship with AFP has not been disclosed in any of his recent columns promoting key Republican candidates for Congress or governorships, who have benefited from AFP's ad spending. Using his platform at The Washington Post, Will has promoted Michigan Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land, suggesting that she is "the GOP's best answer to the so-called war on women" and contrasting her with Sandra Fluke, whom he smeared as "a professional victim and virtuoso whiner." Will argued that by electing Land, Michigan voters would be able "to show what they think of 'war on women' hysterics as a substitute for thought." Like Will, AFP supports Land and, as Will noted, has already spent $5 million on her behalf. Will did not note his connections to the group.
Will has similarly promoted North Carolina Republican Thom Tillis' candidacy for the Senate, parroting his anti-Obamacare campaign advertisements in a May 30 column. Will defended Tillis against charges that he is an "establishment" moderate by praising his conservative credentials: "Tillis has been an enthusiastic enactor and implementer of the conservatism that North Carolinians voted for." Will noted that AFP has spent $8 million on advertising attacking Tillis' opponent, Democrat Kay Hagan. Charles Koch and his family have also maxed out their contributions to Tillis, and he received a $5,000 donation from the Koch Industries PAC.
Will has profiled Republican Bruce Rauner, who is running to be governor of Illinois, framing the election as a choice between Rauner's push for term limits and his "vows to change the state's fundamental affliction --its political culture" and "the acceleration of stagnation" under the Democratic incumbent, Pat Quinn. AFP has spent at least $120,000 attacking Quinn.
