Sandra Fluke May Run For Retiring Waxman's House Seat

Do you remember Sandra Fluke. Yes, the  woman law student who sought to speak before Darrel Issa's committee on Obamacare and contraception. She was denied the privilege as Issa seated all men for his committee hearings.

Fluke spoke out about her contempt for Issa's committee decisions. Her actions and exercise of free speech drew the wrath of the GOP's ideology leader and chief "microphone" executioner: Rush Limbaugh.

If you do not remember, take a two minute viewing.

Ms. Fluke is contemplating running for a House seat soon to be vacated by retiring California Congressman Rep. Henry Waxman.

What a blessing should Ms. Fluke decide to run.

Herman Cain Is Back. Did he Say He Might Run? [ Wrong Party Herm ]

Not only Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney and George W. Bush emerged from virtual hibernation to reap the fruits of the 2014/2016 election cycles, another has burst into the sunlight: Herman Cain.

Yes, Cain has comeback to the cameras and seeking a place in our psyches as both political parties start to line-up their potential candidates for 2016. My thoughts on Cain were published here in 2011 and we need say much no more than we had hoped he would melt into the world to AM Radio.  Let's be real, he cannot stand like Sarah Palin, as "smug-faced and dense as granite", but we surely hoped his cerebral constipation and oral diarrhea was a thing of the past.

Oh , the extent to which we were wrong.

He has arisen, grabbed a camera on Fox News and reminded us of why we cringed with every inane utterance from the man.  The following segment is about 3.50 minutes longer than it should be, but we are unable to extract a sub-clip. We are posting the segment to provide you with clear evidence Cain's issue are long-term and he was not simply posturing for the cameras in 2011 and 2012.  The man is clearly missing a few critical pieces of gray matter.

Our specific interest is the portion of the clip at which he chastised the RNC for publishing a list of potential candidate for the GOP presidential ticket.  He exclaims, "....they are all white."  Let's view the clip and I will comment on the other side.

First things first, the Koch brothers, Fox News and Limbaugh (along with Beck) Are the central authorities in the Republican Party.  Without question eve member of the GOP is beholden and subservient to one of more of the aforementioned. Or, they run form any level of criticism and, or, scorn that might emanate from those who command media audiences. Thus, if they do the bidding of the demagoguery and the money-brokers, we ask why does O'Reilly not feel that is a central authority in the GOP?

More important, does Herman Cain actually not realize he is affiliated with a political movement, party and paradigm that is anti-diversity.  Surely, he has to understand the reality of a political party with a racial composition of 92% white people. Such numbers are not in an way coincidental.  Why do people like Cain and other "Black Conservatives" (since they general avoid the words "African-American") fail to realize that 96% of Africa -Americans hold the GOP in contempt for a reason?

We often show this image. And, we will continue to do so as it is a validating statement about how Cain's party feels about black people.  Is the African-American community in the eyes of the GOP as we often posit, "The Invisible Negroes?"

Is it possible Cain doesn't realize the website outreach omission of African-American was intentional? The [point should be clear.

The GOP is not about the business of tolerance, diversity and inclusions.  Any minority visibility with the party has a strategic purpose and that purpose is grounded in subterfuge.  Michael Steele is the perfect example. Within weeks of Barack Obama's inauguration for this first term as president, what did the GOP do. Party power-brokers pulled Steel from the basement and gave him a mission, "Go get us some respect in the black community." The GOP also gave the nation Sarah Plain as a tool to combat the Democrat nomination of Barack Obama to head their ticker.  All said the latter from the GOP has turned into a national embarrassment and social horror story, not a surprise from the GOP.

Did you like me wonder about Cain's judgment in even mentioning a man who was discharged from the US Army under less than honorable conditions (West)?  What about his judgment (or desperation) in reaching for the disgraced Ben Carson as a possible GOP presidential candidate?

Ultimately, how insane is Cain to even imagine the GOP will allow an African-American as presidential candidate in the 21st Century?

During the run-up to the 2008 General Election, I read a message on an AOL message board that is emblazoned in my grey matter.

"White people will never elect a nigger president."

Of course, the writer had a point as evidenced by the overwhelming exhibition of racism towards the nation's 44th President since before he took office. His comments have also been validated via GOP efforts to suppress the votes of African-Americans an Latinos. Yet, the dim-witted writer underestimated the intellect and social views of the majority of Americans (albeit it a very small majority).

That said, I feel very comfortable in my thoughts the GOP will not allow a black man or woman to head their presidential ticket until the natural changes in US demographics catches up with the Jurassic Era GOP.

Beck and Limbaugh Claim JFK; Mario Piperni Is Not Buying It!

Re-Blog from Mario Piperni Dot Com

Conservatives Claim JFK As One Of Their Own

Republican politics for Dummies : http://mariopiperni.com/

Why am I not surprised by this?

As the nation mourns the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, conservative media figures have attempted to appropriate his legacy and attribute to the beloved former president their conservative ideas and positions. This effort runs counter to Kennedy’s stated positions, speeches, and other historical facts surrounding his presidency.

Is there a shortage of heroes on the right that they now have the need to appropriate liberals and claim them as their own?

What this is really about is that Americans have given JFK an 85% approval rating – the highest ranking among modern day presidents – and there is no way the right could allow that to stand without a fight. In any case, let’s allow the good citizens of Dumbfuckistan the opportunity to voice their thoughts on Kennedy and why they believe he was not really a liberal.

Glenn Beck:

“Who was John F. Kennedy? He has been co-opted by the left…if you could bring back the politician that JFK was, he wouldn’t be accepted by the Republican Party because he would be a Tea Party radical.

Limbaugh:

“[Kennedy] was not in any way a liberal as you know Liberals today…Kennedy was not a big believer in the Civil Rights Act.”

Some Boston Globe winger:

“Kennedy was no liberal. By any reasonable definition, he was a conservative” and that “Today’s Democratic Party — the home of Barack Obama, John Kerry, and Al Gore — wouldn’t give the time of day to a candidate like JFK.”

And on it goes, even though Kennedy was not shy to shout out his liberal creds…or even though a “Wanted for Treason” poster of Kennedy was circulated in and around Dallas in the days before that fateful day in November 1963.

Sorry guys, you’re going to have to be satisfied with your deluded Reagan heroship. John F. Kennedy was an intellectual who would have been repelled by the sheer ignorance of today’s Republican/Tea Party – a sorry excuse for a political party overflowing with sociopaths and clowns. I’d love to know what JFK would have thought of Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin and Louie Gohmert and Rand Paul and Rick Santorum and George W. Bush and Rick Perry and any number of crazies that have turned the Republican party into the laughing stock of the world. I’d think that Kennedy would sooner pluck out his left eye than be associated with any of these dumbasses.

Here’s a thought…any chance that in 2063, Republicans will claim Barack Obama was the country’s first black conservative president?

Limbaugh Pranked!

Posted from YouTube...

Limbaugh expects accolades from a "ditto-head" and sets himself up for a let-down.

TRANSCRIPT

Published on Nov 20, 2013
November 20, 2013 - Rush Limbaugh decided to prematurely cut off one of his radio show callers Wednesday after the man brought up some troubling stories from the host's past. The call began under the guise of advocating for Limbaugh to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, but before long the caller was talking about that time the host "exchanged shoe boxes of cash for narcotics."

In an attempt to highlight similar honors Limbaugh has received in the past, the caller brought up a bust of the host that now resides in the Hall of Famous Missourians. "That, and you can correct me if I'm wrong," the caller said, "came after you exchanged shoe boxes of cash for narcotics in Florida, something that most people go to jail for--decades for mandatory minimums. They gave you a statue! I mean, you imported drugs into America with the Viagra deal down in Florida..."

At this point, Limbaugh cut his caller off, saying, "Oh, no sir. See you are a victim of, once again, totally distorted media reporting." He commended the "first half of your call," during which the man highly praised the host, as "exactly right." But as for the accusations about drugs, that portion was "filled with the usual leftist, bigotry, hatred and gibberish. And you don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about!" And, that was the end of that call.

In terms of that "distorted media reporting," here's what the caller may have been referring to. Back in 2003, Limbaugh was listed as a possible buyer in an illegal prescription drug investigation in Florida. Days later, he confessed to his listeners that he was addicted to painkillers and entered a rehab facility for 30 days. Three years later, Limbaugh was arrested for violating Florida's "doctor shopping" laws an alleged attempt to get multiple doctors to write him overlapping prescriptions. He pleaded not guilty and reached a settlement in 2009.

Also in 2006, Limbaugh was detained by DEA agents at Palm Beach International Airport after returning from the Dominican Republic with Viagra in his luggage that did not have his name on the prescription. He was ultimately released and no charges were filed.

Believing The GOP Fiscal Hype Is Killing The Middle Class And Burying The Poor

MSNBC's Ari Melber effectively refutes GOP mantra and "false fiscal" propaganda.  If you are a high information voter, this information is probably not new to you.  If you are a bit less informed, you may actually believe GOP mantra, and you may also exist as fodder for GOP election wins.  Wins, that have yet proven beneficial to the US economy and less beneficial people who live on the lower end of the following info graphic.

The following infographic illustrates the end game for people who have bought hook-line-and sinker into GOP fiscal policy  A policy labeled "trickle-down" by Ronald Reagan.  The policy is more aptly named supply-side economics.

Mother Jones...... (linger on  left chart in "Winners Take All Section" below and think back to which US President took office in 1981). We do not see a trickle.

HOW RICH ARE THE SUPERRICH?

A huge share of the nation's economic growth over the past 30 years has gone to the top one-hundredth of one percent, who now make an average of $27 million per household. The average income for the bottom 90 percent of us? $31,244.

The richest controls 2/3 of America's net worth

Note: The 2007 data (the most current) doesn't reflect the impact of the housing market crash. In 2007, the bottom 60% of Americans had 65% of their net worth tied up in their homes. The top 1%, in contrast, had just 10%. The housing crisis has no doubt further swelled the share of total net worth held by the superrich.

OUT OF BALANCE

A Harvard business prof and a behavioral economist recently asked more than 5,000 Americans how they thought wealth is distributed in the United States. Most thought that it’s more balanced than it actually is. Asked to choose their ideal distribution of wealth, 92% picked one that was even more equitable.

MSNBC The Cycle's Ari Melber address another clear case of GOP mind-induction.  Be careful, it is time to de-hypnotize yourself.

We often write about the LIVs (low information voter/people). We write as such based in what may be a misguided belief that people are unaware. There is a antipodal state that is truly tragic.  What about the prospect people who sit and watch Fox News, and, or, listen to Alex Jones, Limbaugh and Beck, do not care about the data depicted above?

Let's hope the full 47% of people who voted for Mitt Romney are in the antipodal state. That ever-present abyss called a Great Depression looms and it looms very near one major error in fiscals policy, or practice.

The Daily Kos Literally "Nails" Right-Wing Propaganda

Media matters published a meme over the weekend that sets the sage for a piece I am going to introduce from The Daily Kos. The meme exemplifies a basis for propaganda and dogma messaging that can and does influence people to a place that is not in their best interest. A place contrary to the person's normal position on issue, or a place diametrically opposite beliefs espoused throughout the person's life.

Conservative America is masterful at mind-altering messaging. As far back as Richard Nixon, the GOP has leveraged its wherewithal in mind-altering messaging wile steadfastly moving the nation Right of Center. Hence, the conservative SCOTUS. We are seeing the epitome of such messaging on a daily basis since Barack Obama took the Oval Office in January 2009.
The Daily Kos recently published a piece that is must reading, viewing  and contemplating. The piece, The-Brainwashing-Of-My-Dad-By-Limbaugh-Fox-GOP-Media, explores via Kickstart documentary a writers personal view of watching the influence of viral Right-wing media on the psyche of a former progressive mind (and family man).

If you are reading here (the TPI), you know our position related to right-wing media, and powerful people who have corralled conservative and libertarian politician into "Solyent Green-like" functionaries. Worse yet, those same mind altering entities have "done a job" on millions while introducing a phenomenon to the American political spectrum.  We now have LIVs (low information voters) who are as dangerous to our society as external military threats.

LIVs are not people who would harm the nation angst. They are people who have subscribed to political thought and paradigm, so influence by right-wing media and 50 years of Republican dogma, they refuse to consider thought outcomes that even remotely approaches  "center of Right or Left."

You know them.  You have them as Facebook 'friends'. I formerly connected to a few; once discovered as low information conservatives the Facebook connection change to an "unfriend" status.  Life is too short to interact with people who would vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan after witnessing the horrors of the 2012 campaign. Anyone who will completely ignore empirical data showing Democrats are much better managers of the US economy is not a person with whom, I care to interact.  If a person cannot see the social implications of a political party that is 92% white (in a nation as divers as the US), the person has accepted a form on intolerance that is a core ideology/axiom of the GOP.

We are going to introduce the Daily Kos (must read) piece via embedding a video from the piece; the piece is linked after the video.

SNAP Reductions: GOP Ideology Leaders, The GOP, The Children, The Vets

When politicians follow the rhetoric of their demagogues and propagandist ideology leaders, they perform stupid and callous acts.

The Demagogue
  • Limbaugh July 2012: Linked (no video racist. "All black people want is more food stamps)
  • Limbaugh October 2012: Linked (no video. "To curb hunger you work.")
  • Limbaugh July 2013: Linked (no video, "Shuck and Jive," Obama drawing Mexicans offering Food Stamps)
  • Limbaugh September 2013: Linked (no video, Poor Kids getting free lunch is like family pets.  $400 million dollar contract demagogue said,  "When you get a new pet what is the first thing you do to try to bond with it, you want to be the one to feed it right? You don’t want anybody else feeding that new puppy or kitten because you know that that puppy and kitten will bond with you first…"
  • Limbaugh March 29, 2013: Linked (no video)
We all know that Limbaugh earns lavish amounts via feeding 'red meat' to very "low information" listeners.   He also serves as an ideology leader of the GOP, despite frequent claims to the contrary by members of Congress.

The Politician

Attacking poor Americans is as common form the GOP as incompetent fiscal and economic management.  Ronald Reagan following the political consultancy of Lee Atwater (Southern Strategy) spoke in 1980 for none other than Philadelphia Mississippi. "Welfare Queen." The party has  used dog whistles and code to ignite inertia for its sycophants since.

Modern-day ideology leaders like Limbaugh and Beck earn millions with the use of "food stamps" as code. Their rhetoric is like marching orders for GOP politicians. The same rhetoric is like an evangelical hymnal for the Limbaugh and Beck audiences.

And, there-in lies the foundation of the House of OZ SNAP reduction vote this week.

The Underprivileged

Of course, we know the reductions will lead to hunger for children in the millions. They will go hungry while the GOP ideology leaders and wealthy members of Congress live the lavish life.  We know the impact of the cuts on poor children; obviously it does not bother us to the level of anger.

What about people who volunteered to serve the nation and who are fortunate enough to have avoided the ultimate sacrifice?

sds
By Jay Kirell
My name is Jason. I turned 35 less than a week ago. My first job was maintenance work at a public pool when I was 17. I worked 40-hours a week while I was in college. I’ve never gone longer than six months without employment in my life and I just spent the last three years in the military, one of which consisted of a combat tour of Afghanistan.

Oh, and I’m now on food stamps. Since June, as a matter of fact.

Why am I on food stamps?

The same reason everyone on food stamps is on food stamps: because I would very much enjoy not starving.

I mean, if that’s okay with you:

…Mr. or Mrs. Republican congressman.

…Mr. or Mrs. Conservative commentator.

…Mr. or Mrs. “welfare queen” letter-to-the-editor author.

…Mr. or Mrs. “fiscal conservative, reason-based” libertarian.

I do apologize for burdening you on the checkout line with real-life images of American-style poverty. I know you probably believe the only true starving people in the world have flies buzzing around their eyes while they wallow away, near-lifeless in gutters.

Hate to burst the bubble, but those people don’t live in this country.

I do. And millions like me. Millions of people in poverty who fall into three categories.

Let’s call them the “lucky” category, since conservatives seem to think people on welfare have hit some sort of jackpot:

Those living paycheck to paycheck? They’re a little lucky.

Those living unemployment check to unemployment check? They’re a little luckier.

Those living 2nd of the month to 2nd of the month? *ding* We’ve hit the jackpot!

The 2nd of the month being the time when funds gets electronically deposited onto the EBT card, [at least in NY] for those who’ve never been fortunate enough to hit that $175/month Powerball.

I fall into the latter two categories. But I’ve known people recently - soldiers in the Army – who were in the first and third. They were off fighting in Afghanistan while their wives were at home, buying food at the on-post commissary with food stamps.

And nobody bats an eye there, because it’s not uncommon in the military.

It’s not uncommon – nor is it shameful. It might be shameful how little service-members are paid, but that’s a separate issue.

The fact remains anyone at a certain income level can find it difficult from time to time to pay for everything. And when you’re poor you learn to make sacrifices. Food shouldn’t be one of them.

The whole concept is un-American. People living here, in the greatest country on Earth, with the most abundant resources, should be forced to go hungry because of the intellectual notion of fiscal conservatism and the ideological notion of self-reliance.

Are you fucking kidding me?

I didn’t risk my life in Afghanistan so I could come back and watch people go hungry in America. I certainly didn’t risk it so *I* could come back and go hungry.

Anyone who genuinely supports cutting food stamps is not an intellectual or an ideologue – they’re a bully.

And nobody likes a bully. Except other bullies.

It’s time for regular Americans to stand up to these bullies. Not cower in the corner, ashamed of needing help. Because if there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that you never know when you’ll be the one in need.

The better part of valor would be to end this piece here.  We have a bit more for "high information" people.

If you listened to all of the Limbaugh rhetoric above, you may wish to pass on the following embeds. The embed offers perspective on the GOP SNAP reductions you as an American should watch and listen. If you feel the GOP cuts will help the nation, you should certainly pass on the embeds. We do not suggest you waste time on an issue to which  you have already assimilated via your ideology leaders and your political party.

Laura Ingraham Out Paces Limbaugh With A Gunshot Audio Effect! Gun Shot!

Queen of the Right-wing demagogues plays gunshot sound over audio tape! A shooting sound!

OK, we are not into the daily ravings of right-wing talk radio. In fact, all AM radio hosted shows have converted to conservative dogma, as it sells.  Liberals and progressives plus "high information" Independents do not need daily doses of dogma filled hatred of the Obama Administration. When we have concerns we do not hesitate to air the concerns in forums known for a much higher use of cognitive process, backed with data and without over-the-top angst and Draconian exhibitions.   If you look close, you might find the AM radio demographics are perfect for GOP and conservative income streams (revenue and host contracts).  "High information" people get information from other sources and they do not have that 'clinging need' to reinforce horrid paradigms on a daily basis.

Horrid paradigms? As is the case with most Right-wing demagogues a good portion of their programs this week have been devoted to disparaging remarks about the 50th Anniversary March on Washington DC (over this past weekend.)

"Oh, do we have fodder for our sycophants on Monday."  Laura Ingraham was classic in delivery of her "red meat." She actually go out ahead of the king Right-wing demagogue: Limbaugh.

Ingraham not only took cheap shots at the gathering, she used march speaker topics for 'dog whistles' to her festering throngs.  It took her about one minute into the embedded video below to take the killing of Trayvon Martin to right-wing dogma about killings in the black community. She mentioned statistics. Statistics exist that show the murder rates are not much different from murder in white communities. Let's face the bottom-line issue. We interact within our own ethnic groups far more than other ethnic groups. If there are going to be murders, it will take place predominantly intra-ethnic group. "Black-on-black Crime!"

Twenty-three (23) seconds of pure truism on "black on black" from someone not of the black community: Tim Wise, diversity consultant, author, educator and "One who GETS IT."

The Ingraham Show.  The  following audio tape is eight (8) plus minutes long. I skipped through the Ingraham 'ditto head' remarks.  I have too much respect for my psyche, my grey matter and I have contempt for 'low information' people who rail about positions each day. The audio segment is eight minutes long. Can you imagine sitting listening to AM radio for the full run-time of shows like Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, Savage, Beck and others? Ingraham's gunshot antics hit at approximately the 4:40 minute mark as Lewis's comments are cut short.

Now. for a bit of background as to how propagandist like Ingraham gather their sustenance as feed for their throngs of ravenous listeners.
The linked Politifacts piece is a bit long, but full of relevant information for people who consider themselves "high information."  We will not use any article text to save your reading time and space in this piece. You have to check out the Truth-O-Meter on this one.
The Truth-O-Meter Says:

We do not in any way challenging there is far too much killing in communities, the black community in particular. We take major exception to right-wing fear mongering and pro George Zimmermannism via use of flawed or skewered statistics.   If we are not a fully-integrated society, the relevance of the references to killings in the black community seem to accompany 'motive based messaging."
Your Black World Dot Net published a piece this morning that encapsulates the many aspects of the truth related to "Black on Black" Crime. Chenelle A. Jones, Ph.D., Ohio Dominican University, wrote the piece. (NOTE: We realize many have disdain for long reads, but 'high information" people will read such works on an intermittent basis until done. So, we take the risk of thoroughness and delving deep)
Article excerpts
Excerpt One. There is no question that crime within the Black community is an issue.  However, there is a need to discuss and deconstruct this notion of “Black-on-Black Crime”.  The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) notes that most crime is intra-racial.  Statistics show that 84% of White victims are killed by Whites and 93% of Black victims are killed by Blacks (BJS, 2011).
Excerpt Two. So to argue that the intra-racial phenomenon of crime victimization is unique to the Black community is to demonstrate an inaccurate assessment of historical and contemporary crime and victimization trends.  Furthermore, to acknowledge the existence of “Black-on-Black” crime without equally acknowledging the existence of “White-on-White” crime is to perpetuate a myth of inherent black criminality, and Blacks are not inherently criminal.
Excerpt Three. The final issue with the “Black-on-Black Crime” argument involves the disparate treatment of Black and White offenders in the criminal justice system.  Whites represent a majority of the American population and are responsible for 54% of murders involving an intimate partner, 59% of murders involving a family member, 55% of murders involving infants, 56% of murders involving elders, 54% of s*x related murders, 53% of gang related murders, 70% of workplace related murders, 55% of arson related murders, 80% of poison related murders, and 53% of murders involving multiple victims (BJS, 2011).  Blacks comprise 13% of the population and are responsible for 59% of felony murders, 65% of drug murders, 50% of murders involving an argument, 56% of gun homicides, and 54% of murders with multiple offenders (BJS, 2011).
We will not comment additionally about the Ingraham cheap shot for her listeners. The gunshot sound effect speaks volumes about the GOP and its propagandist. they know how to play to GOP supporters. Ingraham piece linked.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Republican Racism On Front Street and Overt!

Bobby Jindal within the past year. Stand by for Bobby Jindal today!

How can we expect different from the sycophants who support these people and who go to the polls and vote them to public office? Of course, George Will is not a politician. He is however, a most esteemed and supposedly learned conservative. His comments in the following clip places my use of the word "esteem" in question. His comments are comparable to looking up to a street gutter. George Will stands along side the far less intellectual yet equally guttural Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Coulter, and Maulkin.

MSNBC's The Ed Show is BACK..and hitting on all Cylinders.  Watch conservative racism and propaganda and analysis that places it all in perspective.

  Ed's "Pretenders."

If the overwhelmingly racist Colorado legislator possessed a modicum of intellect and knowledge, she would recognize the danger in laying "Sickle Cell anemia" and other disease endemic to the black community of diet influenced DNA.

She might recognize that far more white people eat fried chicken and Bar-B-Que then her mind comprehends.

She might also recognize that she speaks as the classic " white supremacist" and one who exercises white privilege without batting an eye.

Racism is alive and very healthy in the GOP!
