Some Members Of Congress Get It (Quick Hit)

New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries at last weeks GOP propaganda show in the US Congress.

Yes, he made some mistakes, but 75 members of Congress sat in a hearing room for one purpose only: to facilitate GOP efforts to discredit the Mueller Investigation into Russian election tampering and possible Trump Administration collusion.

Now watch an MSNBC contributor and former INTEL Security officer, Malcolm Nance, speak about the desperation of the GOP and those members who carried Trump's lunch in the hearing last week.

Kleptocracy, Plutocracy And GOP Dismantling Democracy

Image may contain: text

kleptocracy
klep-tok-ruh-see
  • a government or state in which those in power exploit national resources and steal; rule by a thief or thieves.
plutocraCy
plo͞oˈtäkrəsē
  1. government by the wealthy.
    • a country or society governed by the wealthy.
      plural noun: plutocracies
    • an elite or ruling class of people whose power derives from their wealth.
      _____________

    • In either case. or either definition, we do not find indications the administration you may very well have voted to elect is showing any vestiges of old-school American Democracy.

    • Let's run through a few cases of Trumpism as potential fascism.

    • ‘The Art of the Deal,’ Tony Schwartz and MSNBC's Joy-Ann Reid discuss growing indications Trump has ambitions which mirror those of Vladimir Putin prior to his dictatorship. Schwartz asserts Trump wants absolute power; quite probably Schwartz is dead on in his assessment of a president he knows very well.

The following segment is seven and one half minutes long. but relevant to the second. While both Reid and Schwartz alternately opine throughout the segment, Schwartz's comments seem to embody and accurately depict that which we are seeing from Trump on a daily basis.

How would Trump and his cabal instill a "police state?"

      A. Mind-altering dogma from the White House, the GOP and Fox News as well as a wealth of AM Radio demagogues, Sinclair Broadcasting and the newly charged-up Trump TV).
GOP strategist for the McCain/Palin campaign commented about Fox News and its mission focused broadcast against the Special Counsel.
How about recent revelations of words prohibited from CDC use?  Why would the following words bother any rational leader?

      "Mind-altering dogma....."

Forty-Six minutes of INTEL expert Malcolm Nance and Trump's growing police state.
From the same morning show, another security expert commented on Trumpism and its move towards the dark state.
The signs are obvious.  It seems the entirety of the GOP and many US conservatives are OK with Trump's desire to lead a plutocracy.
      B. Congressional federal legislation
      C. Literal advancement of ideology and policy which supports police departments (regardless of clear evidence of far too many cases of police abuse) while taking to task the nation's most credible and effective enforcement body: the FBI.
Judicial nominees who have little too judicial experience: Politico (Talley and Maater). Talley's wife actually works in the White House; a fact which went undisclosed on a pre-nomination questionnaire.  (again the "lie" via omission).  At 36 years of age, he was also rated "not qualified by the American Bar Association. Do you see any problems with the Talley nomination?
Mateer seemed to be a Paleozoic Era regressive plant for the federal bench.  His record of utter bias and bigotry against LGBTQ Americans should have disqualified Mateer well before his name was placed in nomination. Yet, not so in the era of Trump.
Jump forward to this week's congressional hearings with five judicial nominees facing a congressional judicial committee. One of the five drew an inordinate level of questioning from a southern Republican member of Congress:

While some have expressed sorrow and sadness regarding Petersen's congressional hearing, I do not share the sentiment. Once his nomination is withdrawn (and I assumed it will be withdrawn), we must assume we will see the reality of what was to be a functionary conservative judge sitting in a lifetime appointment with daily opportunity to guide his courtroom with consideration of Trumpism and the role he would pay in US conservatism from the bench.

    • As time passes, we are seeing indications many who voted for Trump and his cabal are souring like a half ripe lemon. Actually, a better example for those who grew up in the deep South. Trumpism for some is souring like an unripe Persimmon.

    Suffolk University poll

A Suffolk University poll released this week suggests Trump’s once strong popularity among Fox News viewers like himself is plunging. While Trump plunges, according to Suffolk's December polling his base is truing of Fox News.

Suffolk posted a 58% favorable rating among Fox News viewers. Impressive, right? Well, consider past surveys showed Trump's support among Fox News viewers at 90 percent. The polling numbers hit the 90% level as recently as six months ago with a drop to 74% this past October. Now that is a problem and evidence of pure erosion among those who voted to put Trump in the White House.

AOL.com also published a piece with polling data indicating a not so rosy path for Trup and his GOP going forward.

Public sentiment is key. No one should forget how human beings can turn their backs on other human beings as well as the health of their nation.

Russian Hacker Arrested In Spain (VIDEO)

After Trump's remarks and now we know well before his remarks, US INTEL was monitoring and investigating potential Russian interference in the 2016 General Election. Donald Trump as the eventual winner over Hillary Clinton would again assist in raising Russia from the doldrums of a regional power to possible influence in Washington DC at the highest level. If we only knew as Trump exhorted Putin to enact levels of espionage against the US election process, what we now know. Better yet, if we could possibly have known what will eventually come from the possible Russian/Trump campaign collusion.

As the weeks and months have passed since the first Trump official (Manafort) left his campaign through the firing of former Army General Mike Flynn (Trump's questionable National Security Council Head chose). We all watched as Director of the FBI Comey admitted at a Senate Hearing, his counter INTEL agents and teams have been investigating possible cooperation between the Trump campaign and Russia operatives since early 2016.

Read through the following excerpts from a piece just published.
[ ]
Authorities in Spain have arrested a Russian computer programmer thought to be one of the world’s most notorious spam kingpins.
Spanish police arrested Pyotr Levashov under an international warrant executed in the city of Barcelona, according to Reuters. Russian state-run television station RT (formerly Russia Today) reported that Levashov was arrested while vacationing in Spain with his family.
[ ]
“A U.S. Department of Justice official said it was a criminal matter without an apparent national security connection,” Reuters added in an update to an earlier version of its story.
The New York Times reports that Russian news media did not say if Levashov was suspected of being involved in that activity. However, The Times piece observes that the Kelihos botnet does have a historic association with election meddling, noting the botnet was used during the Russian election in 2012 to send political messages to email accounts on computers with Russian Internet addresses. According to The Times, those emails linked to fake news stories saying that Mikhail D. Prokhorov, a businessman who was running for president against Vladimir V. Putin, had come out as gay.
If you didn't follow the link to the Krebs on Security piece, view the "A" Block piece from last night's Rachel Maddow show.  Suffice it to say, the FBI Web is closing in on Russian interference in the 2016 General Election.

Maddow: the apprehended Russian Hacker

Lawrence O'Donnell also offered a two-minute segment with guest Malcolm Nance. Security and INTEL expert.

Media Offers Trump A Path To War

What you are about to see and hear is shameful and indicative of the jingoist nature of our nation.

After Donald trump's slap on the wrist waste of 59 Tomahawk Missiles at an approximate value of $500,000 plus per missile (a gift to Raytheon Corp), certain male well-known conservative and semi-progressive cable news pundits and show hosts earned their paychecks via gushing over the attack.
They gushed over the simple act of firing off the ordinance without any level of contemplation of the outcome of the launch. Syrian flew modern aircraft from the site within hours of the attack. The pundits should consider the deeper outcome of the attack over the next few weeks.
They should also have a deep concern with the reality Trump and his Secretary of State signaled to Assad (and Putin) the US would not stand in their way (as did Barack Obama).  the Administration may very well have directly contributed to the gas attack via Assad against his citizens.
Another couple of points stand for scrutiny.

It should be noted Trump did not bother with any consultation with the US Congress as ordained via the US Constitution. Barack Obama followed the law regardless of military need or requirement to act. Imagine the reaction for conservative American and the GOP had Obama so blatantly usurped the Constitution of the United States. Trump literally performed an illegal act.

Also think about what next should Trump's approval ratings rise as a result of the attack. It is important to recall Trump at this seems as childlike as any preteen. He and his cabal may very well accept the accolades from certain segments of media as lauding worthy of repeating.

Watch a YouTube rerun of a Media Matters segment.

The measure of a US President is how inclined he is to fire off ordinance!

Each person int he video who commented as if urging on a petulant child should come to the reality of their jingoism.
