Jon Stewart On Memoires Pizza's $800,000 Plus In Donations

Jon Stewart has come out in defense of Trevor Noah's past (failed) twits that some deemed in poor taste. Trevor Noah will never successfully replace Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. The best strategy for comedy central is to reposition the show such that there was a clear departure from the days of the irreplaceable Stewart. Trevor Noah, South African comedian, will flop on the Daily Show.
Stewart address Noah and delves into the pathetic state of religious dogma with over a quarter million dollars donated to a bigoted pizzeria owner.

The sad, sad state of America.

Fox News, Memories Pizza And "Just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it."

In November 2011, Media Matters ran a piece regarding attacks on President Obama via use of a quote from a very popular television show: Seinfeld. While I never watch even one episode of the long running show, but I ran across a bit of dialog from one segment that will serve as a lede for this screed.

George Costanza, Seinfeld show "buddy."
In a memorable episode of Seinfeld, Jerry is concerned about taking a lie detector test that he fears will reveal his love for the show Melrose Place. Seeking advice, Jerry turns to his best friend, George Costanza, for tips on how to beat the lie detector.

George's (predictably bad) advice: "Just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it."

Fox News pays hefty salaries to its on air personalities. In fact, all national news media pays similarly. Fox News on the far-right end of the news spectrum pays many of its personalities to spew unsubstantiated garbage to people who provide fertile ears and brains. The network gives its viewer what it wants.

Andrea Tantaros seems to earn her Fox News salary with the greats of well and with full carnival-like performances. While supporting Indiana's Pence (Religious Freedom) Law, the highly opinionated and mouthy personality, she consistently performs at the highest level of w"lie." I am forced to use ;"lie" as a descriptor as I cannot believe she can be as intellectually deprived as she so often speaks. The following is a classic and irrefutable example of my point. Moreover, it is hard to actually believe she believes what she broadcast on a daily basis.

Fox Host Claims Businesses Won't Refuse To Serve Gay People - Too Late

An Indiana Business Owner Has Already Pledged To Discriminate

Fox News' ;Andrea Tantaros defended Indiana's controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), asserting that businesses owners "would go out of their way not to discriminate." But a business owner in Indiana has already pledged to use the law to deny services to LGBT customers.
Indiana's "religious freedom" law -- which provides a legal defense for businesses that refuse to serve LGBT customers for religious reasons -- ignited a firestorm of criticism this week, with legal scholars and LGBT advocates raising concerns about the law's broad language.
On the April 1 edition of Fox News Outnumbered, co-host Tantaros downplayed concerns about the law, claiming, "these big businesses are going to go out of their way, of course, not to discriminate," adding that she doesn't "see Christian businesses refusing to serve eggs to anyone."
But at least one Indiana business owner has already pledged to refuse to serve LGBT people. Crystal O'Connor, an owner of Memories Pizza shop in Walkerton, told ABC 57 that she supported RFRA and would refuse service to a gay couple because "we are a Christian establishment." "If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no," she stated.

The New Civil Rights Movement also published a piece regarding Memories Pizza.
