As Trump's World Turns: A Smorgasbord Of Ugly (VIDEO)

A Flag, A President, US Troops, And An Email Account

Image may contain: sky, tree, night, cloud and outdoor

The image above is stark, not phptoshopped, and the reality of the GOP, the administration, and American conservatism. Why ally the flag to the full scope and breadth of US conseravtism? Because we are not seeing nor reading any efforts to refute the Confederate flag with the party on the Right. While many will claim the flag as a mere case of an affinity for history and tradition, I offer the actual genesis of and meaning of the flag from the very developer of the battle field flag.

The following meme has been associated with development of the flag. While some refute William Thompson's work in development of the current versions of the flag, it should be noted the common denominator regarding the flag was racial superiority and human bondage.

An example of one of the memes described.

So, let's take the first picture above and extrapolate the visual to a nascent case of white supremacy along with comment about the current US President.

CNN is running a special series on hatred in the United States.

What would a smorgasbord be without mention of this week's Senatorial run-off in the Great state of Mississippi.

And the winner was ....the candidate who was hugged up with a local cattle rancher and a candidate who unabashed used "pubic hanging" as a campaign mantra. The US Senator elect Cindy (Hang Um High) Hyde-Smith.

Elected in a state with this history.

From GOP politics to the holiday season and the Trump version of the White House Christmas decorations.

Caution: what follows isn't a doctored image.

The image doesn't represent anything regarding subliminal messaging. The image is what it is the 20198 version of Melania Trump's perception of Christmas.

That said, I must still offer: Why?

A bit  of contrast.

On a much more serious note.  A president who hasn't yet visited a US war zone to offer support to our troops and one who hasn't yet even mentioned the deaths of three US special operations troops in Afghanistan.

The Pentagon has identified the three U.S. special operations service members killed by roadside bomb in Afghanistan:
-Army Capt. Andrew Patrick Ross, 29.
-Army Sgt. 1st Class Eric Michael Emond, 39.
-Air Force Staff Sgt. Dylan J. Elchin, 25.

Fallen heroes unrecognized by a US Presdient.

Let's end on a quick meme run through General Motors, Presidential legal entaglements and a daughter's email.

And, we end another day in Trumpland and it is only 12 Noon.

We closed prematurely......A midday update.

America! We Have A GOP Problem

Image result for confederate flagsWe don't believe the majority of the GOP is racist. Yet, we know US racist do not flock to the Democrat Party for political and social affiliation. The GOP has a core of racial bias and racism against people of color and a far more pervasive filed of acceptance of all things GOP among its denizens And that means no backlash from the parties leaders nor its core constituents and supporters.

Each week we receive reminders of the extent to which your Trump supporting neighbors and family members are part of the nation's growing cadre of white nationals (a nice moniker for white supremacist).

On election day, a conscientious citizen took a photo of this racist in the state of Mississippi.

Image result for racist mississippi voter

Image result for racist mississippi voter Notice the Confederate flag. Notice the Noose. And Notice the connection to a state in which the most lynching of black people occurred during the many years of US Jim Crow.

The exhibitionist racist lost his job at a local hospital once his brazen white supremacy was posted to social media. Imagine being an African-American or Latino (and probably also Asian) with the voter on staff with a primary job function of close contact with people seeking medical care.  Ugly, eh?

As we move away from the midterm election and various state elections. take look at two candidates for office in Mississippi.

Cindy Hyde-Smith, a white Republican VS African-American candidate and former federal official, Mike Espy, Democrat. One of the two candidates recently publicly joked about being on the front row of a public lynching. Would you care to guess which candidate went there?

Look close before you make pr pick.  OK, if you picked Epsy as the joking candidate, you should avoid appearing on a TV game show which includes picking: door number two, or dooooooooor number three.

Actually, we seriously hope the door game wasn't a challenge.  Of course, the GOP state senator went there. She joined a Mississippi state cattle rancher she ha only met that day.

Huffington Post
Mississippi Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, a white Republican, joked about going to a “public hanging” during a campaign event this weekend, a comment her Democratic challenger, who is black, called “reprehensible” and divisive ahead of a runoff election later this month.
“If he invited me to a public hanging, I’d be on the front row,” Hyde-Smith said on Sunday morning in Tupelo, Miss. during an event with a cattle rancher. It’s unclear what context the comments were made under, although she appeared to be praising the rancher, Colin Hutchinson.
Before you simply dismiss the candidates choice of language as a joke, understand for millions in American the joke may have reached back into the lives and history of African-Americans who lost loved ones and family to racist lynchings.

And then there is this from the State of Flordia. De Santis (Trump stooge candidate for Governor) and the Mayor of the State's capital Gillum.

DeSantis openly courts and courted support from Trump. Trump has proven he is inclined to US nationalism (hint). Why wouldn't DeSantis's "monkey: comment appear as something of a Freudian slip at its lowest denominator? On a broader scale, DeSantis appealed to his supporters and potential voters with a clear dog whistle.

White supremacists support and embedded in the GOP is no surprise as the part has courted and nourished white bias since the days of the now famous "Southern Strategy".  What is a bit of a surprise is not one member of the GOP has come out and openly spoke against clear claiming the GOP by people such as David Duke, former KKK Leader.

The Chicago Tribune and other press/media have written extensively about David Duke and his public affinity for Donald Trump and Trump's GOP.

David Duke praises Trump for tweet about 'large scale killing' of white ...

(There is no large-scale killing of white farmers in South Africa)

America, we have a political party problem and it may manifest in your neighborhood, your family and probably has infested your friends. If you have read through and viewed this piece with no appreciation for a political party gone repressively rogue, you are also infected.

The Daily GOP Ignominious

The Great State of Mississippi
There are few times when commentary for The Daily GOP Ignominious needs little introduction and no summary comment.  Today we have just such a case. From that wonderful State of Mississippi, The new Governor picks-up where the illustrious Haley Barbour left off.

Governor Phil Bryant (R) Mississippi
".......... Democrats' one mission in life is to abortion children."

"Even if you believe in abortion, the hypocrisy of the left that now tried to kill this bill, that says that I should have never signed it, the true hypocrisy is that their one mission in life is to abort children, is to kill children in the womb," he said. "It doesn't really matter, they don't care if the mother's life is in jeopardy, that if something goes wrong that a doctor can't admit them to a local hospital, that he's not even board certified."

....And the Band Plays on......

A Referendum Against Republicanism Circa 2011?

After reviewing last evenings voting results, it is clear the 2010 sweep of the Tea Party and the GOP gubernatorial 2010 electoral wins has resulted in  'buyer's remorse'. I prefer the words 'cognitive dissonance:  " Psychological conflict resulting from incongruous beliefs and attitudes held simultaneously".  (Merriam-Webster)  Both phrases are one in the same. After less than one full year, it became obvious many voted without full grasp of what was to come.  The GOP agenda that swept into the elected offices just after inauguration was not inclusive of issues that were part of the  campaigns.

The GOP and the GOTP (Tea Party) with their skilled political operatives and funders, overwhelmingly applied a "shelllacking" according to President Obama.  Yes, they did just that. Let's take a look at the post 2010 election environment.

After taking office victorious state governors started their agenda based marches as surely as the Tea Party members of Congress locked the House and the Senate in gridlock. The governors started dismantling public service collective bargaining in their states. Thus, laying-off thousands of public service employees.  Some governors fought for legislation that would forbid opportunity for employees to collectively bargain in the future. State legislatures voted with the governors making their Right-Wing attack on the nation legislatively valid and  constitutionally correct.  In Congress, Tea Party House of Representatives commenced their dismantling programs they perceived as 'liberal'.  The House worked  unusually hard to      programs that  Republicans  have history viewed as too progressive. (i.e., NPR).  Another widely reported assault on Health Services Programs was the efforts to de -fund    Planned Parenthood. An assault based on the GOP 'lie' that its services were 99% 'abortion' related.  These were but a few of the GOP agenda items voters swept into office in the fall of 2010.

"Legislatively valid and  constitutionally correct", ah but they forgot the People!
