Allen West Typical GOP

Fundraiser/Political Strategy
As the US House prepares for John Boehner's "tea party" fundraiser (Select) Benghazi Committee, the committee members have been announced.

Boehner's "fundraisers"

Pelosi's "Guardian Monitors"

And the circus begins. The NRCC has already commenced raising money form the hearings, despite actual hearings as weeks and maybe months away. Remember, Boehners "rangers" are in no rush as fundraising and political leverage for 2014 mid-terms and 2016 general elections are the ultimate mission.

While NRCC fundraising off the deaths of heroic Americans is as despicable as it gets. Yet, another noted Tea Party demagogue has attacked a member of the Democrat committee members.

As a matter of introduction, let's meet the combatants attacked and the attacker.
American War HeroLadda Tammy Duckworth
Tammy Duckworth
Tammy Duckworth, official portrait, 113th Congress.jpg
Member of the U.S. House of Representatives
from Illinois's 8th district
Incumbent
Assumed office
January 3, 2013
An Iraq War veteran, Duckworth served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and suffered severe combat wounds, losing both of her legs and damaging her right arm. She was the first female double amputee from the war.[1] Having received a medical waiver, she continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard along with her husband, Major Bryan W. Bowlsbey, a signal officer and fellow Iraq War veteran.

American anti-hero: Allen West resigned military commission to avoid court martial and possible imprisonment: torture of an Iraq war detainee.

The Nation
West resigned from the military in 2004, following an incident involving his unit’s treatment of an Iraqi man. West himself was charged with two violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including one against assault, and agreed to retire after an Article 15 hearing in order to avoid a court martial.
Read more after break below
According to a 2004 account in The New York Times, West let the soldiers under his command beat the Iraqi man, whom West believed was involved in an attempt on his life. (No evidence was ever found implicating the man). Then, he staged a mock execution:
Soon, the soldiers began striking and shoving Mr. Hamoodi. They were not instructed to do so by Colonel West but they were not stopped, either, they said. ‘I didn’t know it was wrong to hit a detainee,” a 20-year-old soldier from Daytona Beach said at the hearing. Colonel West testified that he would have stopped the beating ”had it become too excessive.”
Eventually, the colonel and his soldiers moved Mr. Hamoodi outside, and threatened him with death. Colonel West said he fired a warning shot in the air and began counting down from five. He asked his soldiers to put Mr. Hamoodi’s head in a sand-filled barrel usually used for clearing weapons. At the end of his count, Colonel West fired a shot into the barrel, angling his gun away from the Iraqi’s head, he testified.

A bit more ......Rep. Allen West says 'about 78 to 81' House Democrats in Communist Party

I know of Allen West, you know of Allen West, the GOP knows of Allen West, and those who made the big mistake of electing West to the US Congress in 2010 felt they had grown to know West.

Allen West is nothing shy of a gutter dwelling mouthpiece who will say anything for attention. In fact, I suspect West has ambitions to re-enter US politics via convincing the majority of voters in some district someplace to elect him. It should be noted he won his 2010 seat via an election that turned the US House over to tea party politicians who cling to the Koch bothers like scrap metal against a giant magnet. They infested and sat through a congress that led to the lowest congressional approval ratings in US history and a number of the more whacked-out representatives (West and Joe Walsh) lost their seats via awaken and back-tracking constituents.

West has commented in a most disrespectful manner. The Tea party mouth-piece attacked War Hero Tammy Duckworth.  If you prefer a short version of West's comments:

Right Wing Watch
“Tammy Duckworth, you know I just don’t know where her loyalties lie, for her to have been a veteran and a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing and hopefully she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat [sic] party,” Allen West.

The following Crooks & Liars piece places West in perspective and reminds of a mind gone bad.

Allen West Doubts 'Legless' Tammy Duckworth's 'Loyalty' To America (via http://crooksandliars.com)
By John Amato May 22, 2014 11:33 am - Comments This isn't the first time she's been attacked for her military service by Tea Party Republicans. We all remember what Republicans and Saxby Chambliss did to former Senator Max Cleland, a disabled war hero…

Benghazi Chain Email, Boehner's SELECT (your contribution amount) Committee Hearing, and GOP Political Subterfuge

Know someone with Benghazi Tourettes? Make them name the four Americans killed off the top of their heads. If they can do that, make them name the 241 that died in Beirut, the 104 that died in embassy attacks during Bush's presidency, the 2977 who died on 9/11, and the 4488 who died in the Iraq War. Friend of the TPI Jeremy Huff (May 2014)
As we move through the Boehner Fundraiser Benghazi "SELECT" (your contribution) Congressional Hearing, we can expect many chain email. The Dee Dee Myers chain email (probably not authored by Myers), is the latest attempt at GOP Subterfuge. The email includes false claims Ambassador Stevens was "physically abused and his body dragged through the streets."

Quite simply neither actually took place. Stevens was found by sympathetic Libyans, carried to the safety of a non-smoke filled location (outside the consulate) and rushed to a local hospital via by his rescuers (and an absconded taxi). The rescuers are reported have exclaimed "...He is alive and God is good," as they moved the dying ambassador out of the building. Stevens died at the local hospital shortly after the rescue.

Fox News also took a run at the false email and alleged psychical abuse; a report that should't surprise you.

The real sadness.....slick GOP operatives spend much non-productive time producing political subterfuge. Even more sad and pathetic, millions who follow their subterfuge and absorb their bull manure (AKA BULLSHIT) output.

The following chain email is as despicable as the NRCC, National Republican Congressional Committee, using Boehner's Fundraising "SELECT" Hearing for political solicitation.

The Truth-O-Meter Says:

Chain email

An account of attacks in Benghazi written by former White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers shows that the body of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens was "dragged through the streets" and abused.

Chain email on Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 in a chain email

Chain email claims Dee Dee Myers says Amb. Chris Stevens and her relative were killed by mob abuse in Benghazi attack

A reader recently forwarded us a chain email about the attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012. Similar emails have been circulating for months, speculating about how U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed by Islamic extremists in the attack.
But this email caught our eye because it was purportedly written by Dee Dee Myers, who once served as White House spokeswoman for President Bill Clinton. The email played up the significance of a well-known Democrat breaking with President Barack Obama over what had happened in Benghazi.
The reader wondered if it was actually written by Myers, and so did we.
Moments after we contacted Myers’ office, she emailed us back, saying she had nothing to do with the account.
"No, I didn't write it, don't have any relatives in the Benghazi Guard, didn't have any of the conversations or meetings described in the letter," she told PolitiFact. "There is no truth to it whatsoever."
What the email said
The email opens by falsely claiming that the account is directly from Myers and that one of her cousins was guarding the ambassador on the night he died. (Read the full text of the email.)
The email then purports to tell a disturbing story about what happened that night. In the email's version of events, the cousin dies as well:
"... Ambassador Stevens was brutally murdered. His genitals were cut off, he was sodomized and beaten and cut and stabbed and burned. He was dragged thru the streets and left for dead. This is eyewitness testimony of a local Dr. who found the Ambassador in a ditch and tried to save his life.  He had no idea who he was. The other 3 men, including my cousin, met similar fates.
"Death due to smoke inhalation is a 100% fabricated LIE. ... The next week I drove my aunt and uncle and 2 others to DC to receive his body. We met with Hillary, whom I remain friends with, Panetta, and Susan Rice. All apologized saying it was a protest gone bad over a video and exited the area. Next Obama entered with the same story and made no apology and offered little sympathy."
The email ends with a lament for the Clinton years:
"The leadership of our country has reduced to lies and deception.......what has happened to us? How I long for President Clinton."
Myers herself told us she was not the author of the email and that its details concerning her or supposed relatives are fabricated.
We still wondered whether there was any other evidence to support the email’s claims about how Stevens died. Was he "sodomized and beaten and cut and stabbed and burned"?
What we know about the night of the attacks
After the attacks, the administration empowered an Accountability Review Board headed by former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mike Mullen and veteran diplomat Thomas Pickering. In its unclassified final report, the board said the scene was chaotic on the night of Stevens’ death. Officials lost track of Stevens around 11:30 p.m., until he arrived at the Benghazi Medical Center around 1:15 a.m.
But the report makes no mention of any kind abuse to Stevens. Instead, it says he was brought to the emergency room by "six civilians .. but to the best knowledge of the Board these were ‘good Samaritans’ among the hordes of looters and bystanders" who arrived on the scene after the American personnel had left. The death, the report said, was due to "apparent smoke inhalation."
Another group that reviewed the attack and its aftermath, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee -- controlled by Republicans -- made no mention of abuse either. Their report concluded that "local Libyans found the remains of Ambassador Stevens in the main diplomatic building at the Benghazi Mission and transported him to the hospital. The Libyans apparently did not realize who the Ambassador was, but they alerted the State Department of his location by using the cell phone that was in the Ambassador’s pocket. Libyan doctors tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate Ambassador Stevens upon his arrival at the hospital."
These accounts also track with contemporary reporting.
An Associated Press report included an interview with Ziad Abu Zeid, a Libyan doctor who treated Stevens. Abu Zeid told the AP that Stevens was unresponsive when he arrived at the hospital, but that "we tried to revive him for an hour and a half but with no success." Abu Zeid said Stevens had bleeding in his stomach because of the asphyxiation but no other injuries.
CNN reporter was told by Libyans that they found Stevens and brought him to the hospital. That report too made no mention of any kind of abuse, and a doctor said Stevens was covered in soot when he arrived. The CNN report includes amateur video that shows rescuers pulling Stevens through a window, a detail that tracks with what the Accountability Review Board concluded.
Meanwhile, the rare published reports that supposedly back up the chain email have been the subject of strong pushback.
A Lebanese news outlet, Tayyar.org, published a report soon after the attack that cited Agence France Press reporting that Stevens was raped before being murdered.
However, the AFP subsequently released a statement saying that the Tayyar.org report "falsely quoted our news agency and has no truth whatsover to it. AFP promptly sent a strongly worded complaint to that website and they removed the report and published a denial, saying that AFP did not report such a thing."
One key piece of evidence has not yet been made public: autopsy results. The FBI was charged with investigating the attack, but it has not yet produced a final report, which would presumably include an autopsy report. A call to the FBI on Sept. 6, 2013, confirmed that no report has been released yet. We will update this report when that information is publicly released.
Our ruling
The chain email forwarded an account purportedly written by Dee Dee Myers of how her cousin and Ambassador Chris Stevens were killed in the Benghazi attack, including being "sodomized and beaten and cut and stabbed and burned."
Myers told PolitiFact that she had nothing to do with the email, and that anything it said about her was false. As for the email’s claims about Stevens’ being violently attacked and violated rather than killed by smoke inhalation, two government reports and several contemporary journalistic accounts cast strong doubt. The one Web report that supports this scenario was recanted by the website after the mainstream media source it had cited, Agence France Presse, said it had reported no such thing.
The email is a combination of fabrication and unsupported speculation. We rate it Pants on Fire.

Why aren't political operatives focusing on measurable issues that benefit America going forward? Attempting to win elections via tragedy, death and strategic maneuvering in Congress, is quite probably not winning strategy.

As stated by Jeremy Huff, "Benghazi Tourettes" is as pathetic as listening to the GOP railing about fiscal conservatism. I correct myself, actually, it is much worse!

Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi

Yes, you have seen those memes before, correct? Do they have any impact on your perception of the GOP and (some in) conservative America's dogmatic pursuit of an American tragedy: the September 11, 2012 attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The attack and its aftermath have become a literal "rebel yell" for the GOP, right-wing media and people who visit webpages and leave "troll poop."

The recent release of a White House email from White House staffer, Ben Rhodes, has provided a life-line for the GOP and their hopes to dissuade Hillary Clinton from seeking the democratic nomination in 2016.  The GOP has lost its $86 million dollar Boehner, Cantor, Tea Party, Koch brothers, campaign to repeal that Affordable Care Act. The so-called IRS scandal is not yielding election winning dynamics or impetus for the GOP. Leave it to the White House to blunder in releasing communication regarding efforts to manage Susan Rice's appearances on a serious of Sunday Morning news shows. A White House mistake, granted; a serious abuse of power cover-up, not at all.

"Benghazi" has the GOP as excited about the prospect of harming the Obama Administration and the leveling a mortal political wound to the former Secretary of State. A few days ago we also found some in the GOP have even less scruples than, we previously thought. The NRCC has offered a side of the GOP one can only compare to the well know fabled, "The Scorpion and the Frog."  The NRCC is using the Boehner Benghzai hearings for fundraising.

If you are one who follows the GOP and its various surreptitious strategies for campaign solicitation and campaigns strategy, you may have run across this earlier in the week.

“You Can Become a Benghazi Watchdog Right Now.”

After you complete the form and hit submit, you are taken here.

Intriguing and as we think of the former Ambassador Stevens and three CIA employees, beyond shame even for the GOP.

When asked to comment on the NRCC fundraising off the spirits of people who gave their lives for the United States, Boehner effectively "took the fifth." Boehner not only evaded the question, he used the families of those lost in Benghazi as cloaking cover for his "lock-step," support the NRCC's crass recruiting efforts. Boehner is third in ascendancy to the US Presidency!

http://bcove.me/aqicneqm

Former campaign manger and White House staffer, David Plouffe, tweeted.

ACA working. Benghazi! Running a surplus. Benghazi! Unemp down to 6.3. Benghazi! Planet threatened. Benghazi! NFL Draft. Benghazi!
Plouffe's tweet sums-up the 2014 - 2016 GOP in a fish bowl. Boehner's choice to serve as chair of the GOP "Benghazi" Committee is South Carolina Republican Representative Trey Godwy, former prosecutor and tea party member of the House. As the congressman stood for an early morning interview with Joe Scarborough and crew, he released a Freudian Slip that sets the stage for the Boehner committee.

We have embed the end portion of the segment. Watch and listen as the imminent committee chair uses the word "trial."

If you are interested in the full interview, it is linked here.  Over the course of the week, Media matters has continues its closely monitoring of Fox News as the GOP "communications department" goes about is feeding derangement to its viewers.

Steve Benen of the Rachel Maddow Blog published a quick read piece regarding the NRCC and the GOP's Benghazi attacks fundraising.

As I contemplate becoming a $250.00 or a $500.00 "Benghazi Watchdog," I also wonder if the higher figure garners a heightened quality of "watchdog" equipment." As is often the case, we sprinkle a bit of validation with our pieces. If you really believe Gowdy will deliver fair and balanced hearing regarding Benghazi, check this out.

We have linked a few pieces.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: NRCC Busted and Given A "Phishing Warning!"

LOGO-Alex_Sink_for_Congress

Alas, the political season is upon us. It is becoming as ever-present and visible as the nations polar vortex weather and blankets of snow that sit on the ground for weeks. I read today that Pensacola, Florida had a temperature reading of 17 degrees with rain and sleet. I will admit that the report went unconfirmed, so I am not sure it it was true. Nonetheless, three quarters of the nation is suffering the coldest winter in decades.

We are also seeing GOP operatives and dirty tricksters practicing their  craft and spider-web like tricks across the internet.  Ethics doesn't seem to be a concern pf GOP operatives as some of their 'handy-work' has led to reimbursement of donations to a more than sneaky website campaign.  In fact, Google has pasted the website with this 'patented" phishing warning.

Google warning that Republican site mimicking Alex Sink website is a
