CNN Money: November Jobs Report

The November Jobs Report is out. The numbers indicate a strong economy with wages showing signs of growth in some sectors.

Employers added 228,000 jobs in November, while the unemployment rate remained at a 17-year low of 4.1%, the government reported Friday.

US Jobs (Revisited): November 2016 (Trumpugs)

A day after so-called president-elect Trump spoke with the Taiwanese leader while simultaneous setting the leadership of China ablaze, US job numbers and unemployment rate reports show continued success in Democratic job creation.

Eighty-One (81) consecutive months of job creation under Democratic Party leadership.  The US unemployment rate also dipped to pre-Bush Great Recession levels.  Oh, the world without trickle-down supply-side economics.

Your Trump "security" and social vote means we have a rough economic road to trod over the next few years. 

I introduce the archetypal Trump supporters. From the totally whacked out New England trump official with the curly hair to the lady in gold who CNN should have told no bare skin allowed o camera.  These people are truly frightening, and to think we have handed our nation over to their likeness.  Yes, "deplorables" is a correct characterization.

Trump's lies do not even matter!

You might ask, what do segments of whacked-out trump supporters have to do the what US economy. If you are wondering in that realm, you might want to keep it to yourself; your intellect is showing.

November Jobs Report and Unemployment Rate.

As we move out of the Obama Administration, let's place a mark here with the November Jobs report and unemployment rate.

We will wager these numbers won't get any better under the Trump Administration.

Steve Benen for MSNBC wrote:

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this morning that the U.S. economy added 178,000 jobs in November. The unemployment rate, meanwhile, continues to improve, dropping from 4.9% to 4.6%. It’s the 14th consecutive month the rate has been at 5% or lower – and the lowest jobless rate Americans have seen since August 2007. 

As for the revisions: September’s job totals were revised up, from 191,000 to 208,000, while October’s were revised down, from 161,000 to 142,000. Combined, that’s a net loss of 2,000. 

Over the last 12 months, the overall economy has created 2.25 million new jobs, which is a pretty healthy number. And with one month remaining in 2016, the U.S. remains on track to create over 2 million new jobs this calendar year. What’s more, November was the 74th consecutive month of positive job growth, which is the longest on record.

A few days ago, I published a piece related to the November Jobs Report. The piece included the latest evidence of economy mending from years of Trickle-down economics, the deleterious effect of Republican "Free Markets; No Regulation," and mending from being "Bush'd."

While most progressive news viewers have seen the following two minute segment from the Rachel Maddow Show, I think it worthy of posting for others to view. The segment is only 2:02 minutes in duration, but thoroughly nails the common thinking on the improving US economy.

I will again remind you..the GOP has done absolutely nothing to help improve the US economy. In fact, GOP members Congress (to the elected official) have over the past six years worked against the Obama Administrations efforts to improve our economy.

Yet, many of your handed the GOP the US Congress along with pathetic Progressives, Liberals an Independents who simply did not vote'

During the month of November, the US economy performed at a level comparable  to the latter years of the Clinton Era. The November jobs report continued shining negative light on GOP economic policy while figuratively placing GOP obstruction to Obama policies on trial for sedition. Unemployment remains just below six percent and job grow exceeded 300,000. And one cable news network managed to avoid coverage of the economic news beyond a quick news report. We know which network down-played the good news via avoiding the story, If for some reason you are puzzled as to which network, look-over the following list and take a guess: A. MSNBC, B. CNN, C. Fox News.  

Since the 3rd Quarter of 2010 US job growth has shown positive numbers with unemployment as charted below....

The charts literally mock GOP economic policy, while pointing a finger at GOP obstruction while exclaiming "History will tell the story."

When President Obama stated the mid-term elections would in part involve votes on his policies he was correct. It is sad progressives, liberals and certain voting blocks did not visit the voting booths. Millennials voted at 13% of eligible voters. I also suspect the African-American vote fell shy of expectation.
