Trump's Border Wall (Santorum Reaches Back To Obama)

Do you recall Santorum going there in the midst of his fail 2012 Presidential primary run? After terminating a few right-wing talking heads CNN came around to hiring the far less than credible former US Senator to provide comment from the Right even when such comment verges on out-of-this-world demagoguery.

CNN efforts to milk coverage of Trump's false issues regarding the US southern border for another visit with "BLAH" People Santorum. When asked about support for Trump's border wall or lack thereof, Santorum launched into a tirade and factless set of commentary as icing (on the cake) via the charge against the Obama Administration.

While we recognize Santorum fills a role of conservative punching bag for CNN's viewers, we often fail to recognize Santorum also fills a role for Trump. He is a non-credible right-wing (far right) taking head who serves his dual role very well. Santorum peppers CNN conservative viewers with inane and ridiculous orator while sitting as a punching bag for rational arguments from CNN hosts and Left-wing guests.

Watch what follows.
'
If you are not a conservative who refuses to accept the reality of Obama fiscal and economic policy, you might believe Santorum's demagoguery. Santorum knows better; in fact, he knows this...

Days before the nation's 44th President left office Business Insider published 10 charts which captured the reality of eight years of Obama economic policy.

January 2017

01 obama economy unemployment update
Unemployment

Job Growth 75 Months
02 obama economy jobs
Stock Market
05 obama economy stock market
Seven additional charts are linked via the Business Insider link above.
The Business Insider charts also offer visual proof any claims by the Trump White House of total responsibility for the US economy post the fourth quarter of this year is a "win" for Trump Policy is both shameful and ridiculous. Shameful in its utter disregard for people who actually listen to Trump and his cabal. Ridiculous regarding the level such claims are filled with outright lies and easily refutable.
Santorum is what he is: a right-wing talking head who garners hundreds of thousand dollars spewing oratory and comment for America's right.  While we understand the CNN business model; we do not see the value in one-sided social and political comment (Left or Right), we wonder about the usefulness and quietly of CNN's staging right-wing hacks to fill airtime.
Let's close on a revealing note. What about this?

As Trump's World Turns: An Economy Teetering On The Brink

...of repeating economic history and the death of the Obama Economy

Related image

Two months ago Donald Trump posted a tweet which seemed to have been crafted by the likes of Steve Miller or one of his White House economic advisers. The tweet stated numbers related to the US economy and a claim of a 100 record performance As is always the case with Trump & Company the figures were a lie.

Here is a one minute YouTube video of a Trump spox backing out the lie via a question from a White House reporter.

If you revisit the image in the lead portion of this post, you will find at least one glaring example of why Trump's economy will join others of GOP past presidents.

In July 2014, The Kansas City star made the grievous error of publishing an OP-ED from noted right-wing economic talking head: Stephen Moore.  The Star should have known better as Moore has been a long-standing conservative economic postulator who was undoubtedly has served in GOP economic policy for decades.  It takes nothing more than a quick Google search to determine the effectiveness of GOP economic performance compared to Democrat Party performance.  First, let's run through a quick set of charts and that promised perspective on GOP economic policy.

What about Moore?

If you haven't followed US economic news you may not be aware of Trump's impact on the US Deficit. Herewith are two articles (Forbes, The Washington Post ) with frankly and honestly credible information of how Trump is following GOP economic policy which can only yield another Great Recession. We should hope the GOP doesn't drive the nation to a second Great Depression.  Lest we forget Trump's Trade Deficit.

Now, that was a lot of charts supported information regarding GOP economic policy and its failed results.  Key data as we consider the current economic team with Stephen Moore as an adviser and frequent talking head on CNN.

Following an LA Times piece about how Tea Party tax cuts have turned Kansas into a state of economic ruin, Moore went to work while wearing his "GOP economic savior while wearing his tea party superhero suit) wrote the aforementioned OP-ED.  LA Times posted, here.

Excerpt
...So when his piece asserted that "over the last five years," the no-income-tax states of Texas and Florida gained jobs while the high-tax states of New York and California lost jobs, the editors waved it through.
Moore punctuated his statistical victory over Brownback's critics with the ironic refrain "Oops."
Read the facts via the LA Times link above.

Moore is not only the most visible of Heritage Foundation conservatives who consistently speak of the virtues of GOP economic policy, but he has also been around for quite some time. Thus Moore's impact on the continuation of economic performance delineated various charts above is undeniable and very much unreliable. Trump's current Deficit run-up is proof positive of the failures of the Trump economy. The current spending validated the myth the GOP is the party of the fiscal conservative.

All said let's watch Moore along with the most verbose of Trump economic supporters (via television): Stuart Varney.  The backdrop of the following video is the current deep drops in stock market indicators. You will notice the show host's attempts to dismiss or make less critical matters related to economic indicators.

Will America ever learn?

The GOP is a party of social regression with a deep aversion to societal change. It is not a party imbued with an aversion to spending and it is a party which will forever advance policies which favor the rich And. those policies will always fail..and guess who suffers most? It is worth noting Moore nor Varney and by no means, any of the men pictured in the led photograph, are some of the nation's most wealthy.

And then there is this.

The stock market on the day Trump signed the tax bill: 24,754 The stock market today, nearly a year later: 24,480. That's a decrease of 1.1% since the tax bill was signed. And in the meantime, the US debt is exploding at an even more unsustainable rate.
Wake Up America!

Bob Woodward's Book: Fear And Trump's Reaction

How presidential is this?

 Trump in the Oval Office.
______________

The presidential bully doesn't hold his scorn for only those removed from his cabal. He has been documented via the new Bob Woodard book as an insulter par excellence. Is there actually a surprise?

A CNN Chris Cillizza review of the book. Another CNN segment as Trump's has ordered a search and destroy team to find out who spoke with woodward.

Since we posted a few alleged comments from the upcoming Bob Woodward from Bob Woodward we think it is fair to capture and show how Trump has, to date, reacted to the book.

Isn’t it a shame that someone can write an article or book, totally make up stories and form a picture of a person that is literally the exact opposite of the fact, and get away with it without retribution or cost. Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t change libel laws?

Oh, the shame. Trump does care for the book to the point of mentioning the word "libel." Trump in 2013 commented on another Woodward book focused on then-President Barack Obama's administration.

Well, how time changes perspective.  As we peeped at Trumps Twitter page for the post above, we ran across a reminder of the full measure and scope of Trump's delusion.

Almost everyone agrees that my Administration has done more in less than two years than any other Administration in the history of our Country. I’m tough as hell on people & if I weren’t, nothing would get done. Also, I question everybody & everything-which is why I got elected!

"...my Administration has done more in less than two years than any other Administration in the history of our Country."

Seriously?   We know Trump 's first thought is to always speak a lie,  but, we have to take a quick look at the statement above.  We need to look no further than President Obama.

The Guardian UK published a detailed accounting of Obama first two years int he Oval Office.  Granted Trump hasn't reached the two-year point in the Oval Office but he used the two-year barometer.

The Guardian UK linked here.

Let's sprinkle a few charts related to Trump's lie.

Image result for obama economy first two years

As Obama took office, the nation was saddled with its most serious threat since WWII. GOP policy of de-regulation and crony policy administration coupled with American greed (via US banks) placed the nation on a precipice of an abyss with the potential to kill world economies. In fact, the Great US Subprime Bubble burst threw virtually all world economies into a state of deep recession.

Trump inherited the vibrant Obama economy and now he and his minions brag about the great Trump economy.

Huffington Post also posted a report to Trump's reaction to the Woodward book. Linked here.

Finally this......  (Trump has major mental issues the lest of which is delusional.)

The Obama Economy Churns On

We should expect better from the White House.

Trump also has a tendency to brandish a false reality regarding the US economy on a comprehensive basis. He frequently speaks about and has his presstitutes speak out the "great economy". Well the "great US economy" did not commence on January 20, 2017.  Politifact, as well as most credible media, don't share Trump's I am the only one: communications regarding the US economy.  Politifact linked here.

As we frequently state:  Maybe Trump and company should celebrate not crashing the US economy...to date.

One last look.

Regarding black unemployment or "black jobs". The numbers will aswys correlate to unemployment as the neumebr are unseprable. Differentiating the numbers for politcal advantage is an exercise in the ridiculous.   It employment numbers go up black unemployment will go down just as white unemployment would go down.

Trump's Economy?

Image may contain: 1 person, text

All that Steve Schmidt stated or states hit the nail squarely in the center. We have witnessed three very notable and historic GOPers leave the party (albeit it temporary) with the ascension of Trump to party leaders. The GOP is Trump's party and serves as a facilitating platform for Trump's obvious desire to be king.

Would it surprise you to know there is a Tea Party movement to move additional states to the point of falling-in in support of a US Constitutional Convention? If you have grown to recognize the anti-US Government core of the Tea Party, it shouldn't surprise you that with a retention both House of Congress this fall there could be a movement to fast-track a convention.  All things considered, would it surprise you if one significant conservative deliverable form such a convention would be to remove the current term-limits on serving in the White House?

Seem far-fetched?

For anyone who finds the prospect far-fetched, I posit there are enough supporters across the US to offer those who love and support Trump an opportunity to serve in a way no other president has served. How does such a path become cleared and paved? Answer: Trump carnival barking lying and competent propaganda outlets akin to what follows.

Image may contain: text

The US has many citizens which I call LIVS (Low Information Voters). People who vote on a whim and people who vote based on information from sources which deal in "alternative facts" (as per Kelly Anne Conway).

Image may contain: 4 people, text

The people pictured above aren't people who have any interest in facts.

While Trump offers daily opportunity to run accuracy analysis via fact-checking organizations, today's fact-check comes from PBS via the Associated Press. The article is narrowly focused on Trumps lies regarding the US economy.

PBS recently joined virtually all credible media in offering a fact check of Trump's claims regarding the US economy and Jobs. The PBS article is based on an Associated Press Fact-check. Linked here.

A few images which point to the real fix for the US economy and the reality of Trump's lies.  I do agree

If the "Y" Axis and the "X" Axis of the chart don't work for discerning the essence of the chart, here's another version.

While it should be necessary, I find it important to remind readers what provided the stimulus for the current economy. Did I use the word "Stimulus?" Stimulus as in the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, nicknamed the Recovery Act and commonly referred to as the "Stimulus."

The following are old charts, but each shows the impetus for the US recovery while making a point which I will state after the charts.

Trump should be asking for celebration that he, to date, has not reversed the gains from a Post-Bush Obama economic team.  The public should remind Trump and his team, economic ups and downs take time; accepting not crashing the Obama economy is nothing more than Trumpism propaganda.

As Trump's World Turns: June Jobs Report, Tariffs, Obama Economy

Imagine Our Lives When We Are Done With Trump; Decades of Economic Hell

First, some great economic news.

If there is a worthwhile and true-perspective on Jobs, we need to look well beyond Trump and his advisers.

Image result for 2009 stimulus

Now drill down a bit.

While each and every Trump supporting network contributor has diligently worked to include mention of the June Jobs Report as they face questions about Trump's Tariffs, the following charts seem to indicate a sustaining economy. An economy born in early 2009, mere months after Obama took office.

Of course, we wouldn't expect Trump, his economic, team, talking heads employed by networks nor any American conservative to contemplate the images above. If there was consideration of the graphics coupled with a degree of honesty the talking heads would have to admit Trump's inherited economic hasn't been killed via Trump's election.  Ah, but give it time.

On the very day of the June Jobs Report, the good news is overshadowed by news of Trump's tariffs and retaliatory tariffs from export nations. Administration measure some experts predict will have a deleterious effect on the economic health of the US.

GOP States suffering under Trump/s Tariffs

At midnight last night, Trump's insane tariffs went into effect.  As the clock approached midnight, I have read reports of at least one US cargo ship raced towards China with orders to beat the midnight hour if possible. The ship failed to reach it the destination in time.

Trump's Tariff brainchild reads like a chapter of the Three Stooges Gazette.

Related image I believe Ichan left the Trump team.

While Trump's Tariffs are hitting well beyond China, it appears China is the big fish target. And, the target strikes back with devastating impact across the full breadth of the nation.

Trump and company hit China with tariffs totaling $34billion (25% levy) imposed on 800 Chinese products. How could a group of so-called experts work to impose tariffs which would have a retaliatory impact which will lead to job losses, rotted field crops, and company closures?  In March of this year, CNN published a list of major US corporations which will feel the pinch of the tariffs. The list includes Fortune 250 corporations as well as other large employers. CNN Money linked, here. The Financial Times joined other media in offering perspectives on the tariffs. The Times piece also validates the insanity of words from Trump to former trading partners.  Five-hundred billion?

Let's visit with a couple of states which went for Trump in the 2016 elections.

Missouri to lose company which produces nails.

At the beginning of June, the Mid Continent Nail Corporation in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, had more than 500 employees. But Donald Trump’s recent updates to tariffs on steel goods caused the company to lose 50 percent of its business in two weeks and forced the factory to lay off 60 temporary workers. Newsweek reports that the business may be forced to cut 200 additional jobs by the end of next month.
Nails?  Wonder how many of the 500 employees voted for Trump.

Texas can’t escape Trump’s trade war

Texas and Missouri are prime examples of the pervasive breadth of Trump's economic FUBAR. How about a few linked articles with the additional cases of disaster from the middle class and others employers?

EU stares down Trump, releases $3B list of tit-for-tat tariffs

Yes, the June Jobs Report was excellent.
