Anonymous To North Korea.....

We are often intrigued by the hacktivist exploits of Anonymous. After the revelations of the Steubenville,  Ohio Rape case our intrigued quickly became a commitment to align and serve.

Anonymous communicates with North Korea.
"Threatening world peace with ICBMs and nuclear weapons/Wasting money while his people starve to death."
An Anonymous Pastebin (while part of the post excerpt below this is a must read now or later)

Anonymous claims first strikes against North Korea

Warwick AshfordFriday 05 April 2013 09:21

Members of the Anonymous hacktivist collective claim to have launched the first strikes against North Korea as part of its Operation Free Korea.
Earlier this week, the hactivist group threatened North Korea with cyber war if the country’s leader Kim Jong-un does not resign and install free democracy in the territory.

Anonymous is also demanding that North Korea abandon its nuclear ambitions and give universal and uncensored internet access to its citizens.
The threat was made in a message posted to Pastebin that also claimed that 15,000 membership records had been stolen from the Uriminzokkiri website.
Anonymous also claimed that it had access to North Korea’s local intranets, mail servers and web servers.
Now the group claims it has forced Uriminzokkiri offline and breached the state-run website’s Twitter and Flickr accounts.
The accounts have stopped sending out typical content, instead the Flickr account posted a picture of Kim Jong-un’s face with a pig-like snout, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
The paper said the accompanying text reads: "Threatening world peace with ICBMs and nuclear weapons/Wasting money while his people starve to death."
A series of postings on the Uriminzokkiri Twitter account said "Hacked" followed by a link to different North Korea-related websites.
In addition to taking down Uriminzokkiri and its social accounts, Anonymous has defaced books and music store Ryomyong and a website belonging to a North Korea-linked political group, known as AINDF.

MSNBC Video Showcase MHP to Husted of Ohio

Cross posted from MSNBC Dot Com....

This is simply classic, typical of Melissa Harris-Perry and a send away for the GOP and obvious voter suppression.

Jon Husted’s voter suppression will haunt him

Given all of the focus on Ohio this past Tuesday, and then the results, I felt like my letter this week just had to go to one particular Buckeye.
MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry had a message for Ohio Secretary of State and Katherine Harris wanna-be Jon Husted, if he thinks minority voters in Ohio are going to forget about what he did when he's up for re-election in his state -- Jon Husted’s voter suppression will haunt him:
Dear Ohio Secretary of State Husted,
It’s me, Melissa. May I call you Jon?
How are you feeling today? Still a little sore, I’d imagine. Getting beaten so forcefully with all that backlash had to sting a bit. Probably gonna leave a mark. After all, you spent the better part of this year throwing the full force of your power as secretary of state into restricting the right of some Ohioans to vote. And on Tuesday, it boomeranged back upside your head something fierce.
After Ohio governor John Kasich and state Republican legislatures tried to restrict early voting the weekend before the election, President Obama’s campaign sued to restore early voting for allOhioans. When a district judge agreed with the Obama campaign, you gave us the first indication of just how far you’d go to stop people from voting.
Not only did you appeal that decision, you also ordered county election boards to “defy” the judge’s order and “not” restore the early hours. Fortunately that judge called your bluff and ordered you into court to explain yourself.
You backed down rather than go before the judge, maybe because you thought you’d have better luck with the appeals court. Nope. They too, agreed that Ohioans should be allowed to vote the weekend before Election Day.
So what you’d do? You appealed again. This time to the Supreme Court, which promptly shut you down with a one-sentence statement from Justice Elena Kagan.
But Jon, I’ll give you this—you are nothing if not persistent. Because denied of all your attempts to limit the days, you limited the hours, and shortened the time available to vote last weekend compared to the same weekend in 2008.
You’ve been a busy guy, Jon. Between all that time spent trying to block voting on the weekend before Election Day, you somehow managed to eliminate early voting on all other weekends where it had previously been allowed and fire two Democratic election board members who tried to permit it.
And with only four days to go until Election Day, you attempted to twist the knife one last time. Last Friday, you issued a directive—in opposition to Ohio election statues—to put the burden on voters for mistakes written on provisional ballot forms—all but ensuring that some of them would get thrown out.
Once again, the courts will not be fooled by your shenanigans. In a hearing disputing your directive on Wednesday, a federal judge said that “…it was filed on a Friday night at 7 p.m. The first thought that came to mind was democracy dies in the dark. So, when you do things like that that seeks to avoid transparency, it appears, then that gives me great pause but even greater concern.”
The voters’ response to your tactics? Not only did the African-American vote not get suppressed—it turned out in historic numbers. In Ohio, African-Americans comprised 15% of the electorate, that’s up from 11% in 2008, and nearly 200,000 more votes.
Latino voters also turned out in larger numbers, and made an even stronger showing for President Obama than in 2008. That’s all despite long lines that wrapped around blocks and hours long waits in frigid temperatures to vote. Because you see, Jon, those voters you tried to suppress have a long memory. They remember when people like them faced literacy tests and poll taxes and arrests and beatings and lynchings and burnings and shootings—all in pursuit of the right to vote. So they would not be deterred by a lack of patience or uncomfortable climate. And they certainly would not be deterred by you.
And Jon, there’s something else you should know about the memory of those voters. In 2014, when you’re up for re-election? They are also going to remember what you tried to do.
Sincerely, Melissa
"BAM"

Romney Refused To Help Chrysler, Now He Lies About Chrysler

Michelle Bachmann is well known for perusing the Internet, grabbing material written by Right-wing bloggers, and going public as if she received the information from the New Times  or better yet, the WSJ.  Two major examples of her stumbling idiocy are, a. Obama trip to India and spending $200 million per day  b. US support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.  The latter lie from Bachmann led to an egging of Hilary Clinton's motorcade through the streets of Cairo. The attack could have been far more serious.  Both pieces of information emanated from the brains of  'nothing better to do' creative writers and liars on the right.

Michelle Bachmann is a one of a kind quack. She ran for the GOP nomination and was the very first to be dispatched to the "NOT INTERESTED IN YOU" drop from the race. On second thought,  maybe that honor went to Jon Huntsman. If Hunstman did not clear out fast enough  he would surely have found Bachmann all over him on the way off the 2012 GOP primary trail.

Eventually one on the 'nine stooges' won the nomination.  During the primary campaign, Santorum, Perry, and Gingrich warned the nation Romney was a (my word) pathological liar.   We really had no idea those candidates were identifying the tip of an iceberg. We had no idea of the level and scope of Romney's inclinations to "bare false witness" and extent or deaths of his deep dark lies.  Romney's psyche and character were then exercised as he developed a larger campaign team and moved towards selecting a Vice Presidential running-mate.   Little did we know the extent of the Romney Tsunami headed upon the nation.  We have learned, and some have grown to expect, the first thing from Romney's mouth will be a lie. The life of the pathological liar.  It is really sad that the millions who indicate a preference for the candidate have not recognized same.

Candidate Romney has completely exceeded any level of decency and honesty in campaigning.  During a key speech today, Romney climbed up on a stage in the Great State of Ohio. Shortly after taking the stage Romney told a blatant lie about the closure of a automobile manufacturing plant owned my Fiat: Chrysler's Jeep plant. He told the audience the plant was closing and jobs would be shipped to China.  The comment was based on an article I have posted below. The story is a lie. First, let's view a segment of Politics Nation with Al Sharpton. The segment is not a short segment and it should not be a short segment. The comments were as serious as serious gets; a short news segment would not do it justice. Romney has over-stepped any level of respectability with his statement.

As you view and listen to the segment, think of Toldeo Jeep employees and families who heard the remarks for the first time.

Jeep, an Obama favorite, looks to shift production to China

Jeep Wrangler behind the president as seen in his new second term agenda binder.

Photo - Jeep Wrangler behind the president as seen in his new second term agenda binder. In another potential blow for the president's Ohio reelection campaign, Jeep, the rugged brand President Obama once said symbolized American freedom, is considering giving up on the United States and shifting production to China.
Such a move would crash the economy in towns like Toledo, Ohio, where Jeeps are made and supplied, and rob the community of the economic security they thought Obama's auto bailout assured them.
Obama is such a fan of Jeep that he included a picture of himself speaking at the Toledo plant  in his newly released second term agenda binder. In his address to the plant in 2011 , Obama said, "I just took a short tour of the plant and watched some of you putting the finishing touches on the Wrangler. Now, as somebody reminded, I need to call it the 'iconic' Wrangler. And that's appropriate because when you think about what Wrangler has always symbolized. It symbolized freedom, adventure, hitting the open road, never looking back."
You will notice 815 comments listed under the article title.  I thought it might be worthwhile to list a few of the comments without name attribution  My point here is to show just how gullible and easily led is Right leaning America.
Comment I
Romney needs to start his campaign speeches in Ohio with this marvelous news.  "Obama is outsourcing Jeep production to China."  That will open a few eyes.
Comment II
Aren't You guy's at Jeep Glad You Voted For Obama !!!!!
Comment III
Obama's support for UNIONS is sending the JEEP to China!! UNIONS were great years ago when information was not available .  Now they are just bullies taking advantage of the American people and sending our costs to the moon.
Comment IV (This comment is typical of wing-nut web pages.  Notice documented cases of voter registration fraud in Colorado, Florida, and Ohio,  an arrest out east of a Registration worker burning registration forms...and all this person can type, is his desire to hang around and watch to make sure nothing illegal goes down. How sickeningly pathetic!)
I believe Obama will have lawyers at polling places so when his fake people are there trying to prove who they are the Obama lawyers will tell the Election workers if the person is legal or not and the election worker will allow the voter who may or may not be legally eligible. I am speaking about people getting a utility bill of a perosn they know isnt voting and going to vote under someone elses name. Never know. anything is possible. I almost want to vote and then hang around to make sure there is no nonsense going on. I believe Romney is so far ahead of Obama and I fear(not believe)that the NWO may be pushing for Obama to win so he can keep running this ecnomy into the ground.  There is just too many strange things Like Obama not using Yard Signs this year. Obama make Phone calls to people instead of yard signs. The fact that Obamas turn out has been very low in comparison to 08 like an event which 100,000 showed in 08 only had 16,000 show this year. Too many things seem strange and I am worried. I hope Conservatives make sure to see what is going on in their towns and make sure everything is fair.
Listen people, If Obama wins again something needs to be done(and who knows what that could even be). This man is way off base for what we stand for as a Country. I dont know how he has messmerized so many. But he isnt what America stands for.
The callous and wrong remarks are so serious, I am going to post a segment from the Ed Show. Ed 's segment includes a statement from Fiat/Chrysler and Ed also references a Bloomberg News article. The Bloomberg News article includes the success story of Chrysler's growth and expansion worldwide.  Factually, the company is planning to add jobs in the Detroit Michigan Area.  There is no plan to shut-down the Toledo Ohio plant.

Another MSNBC segment The Ed Show

Lest we forget, the issues goes much deeper.  Romney said he read a story in the early morning. It is a shame Sununu and whomever else feeds the candidate, do not feed him in a much more presidential manner.  The campaign has failed at ever turn when it comes to equipping Romney with key information that might help to give a false aura of being 'presidential'.  The seriousness of the campaign short-coming is exaggerated when one realizes these are the same people who will be feeding Romney information in the White House.

George W. Bush is the perfect example of cabinet, staff, aides, and VP gone mad.   We as a nation are still suffering from the elections of 2000 and 2004.

VOTE! National Registration Day 9/25

Home

Voting is a Constitutional and an American Right!

It is one of the most cherished freedoms and rights in any society.  Only human beings have the mental ability and behavioral opportunity to cast an individual preference for people who will serve as political leaders.  As many as a billion people across the globe may have not official or formal opportunity to cast a legitimate vote.  Millions may have opportunity to vote, but they vote in elections that are not tamper free and, or, often fixed.   You have an opportunity; and it is truly your responsibility to your country and your community to exercise that right and opportunity.

Do you think voting isn't all that serious? Do you think, "my vote don't count"? If you are one who feels you would rather entertain your brain with momentary activities vs. educate to the point of an educated vote, you should speak with the spirits of people such as:
  • literacy laws,
  • poll taxes and
  • outright threats against exercising one's right to vote.
If those thoughts do not help, think about people who are literally passing Voter ID Laws and restricting voting processes to eliminate you from the ranks of people who might vote Democratic in the upcoming elections.   Do you think they purse such unconstitutional and unAmerican acts because they do not like the Democratic Party Donkey?   They do so for pursuit of policy that allows the Right to regress our nation back to a time when equal rights were not discussed publicly and women were 'bare foot-kitchen dwelling-baby machines'.  All said, that alone should anger yo to the point of taking a few basic  steps to get registered and show-up for voting this November.

The privilege of the vote starts with registration.  The following is a critical announcement for people who are not registered to vote. For that matter is is critical date even if you are registered to vote; help someone else get registered!

If you are not certain of your voter registration, you should check here. Simply enter a few very basic pieces of information after indicating your state of residence.

NOTE: Provisional Ballots...worth exploring if all else fails!

PLEASE READ THIS VOTING INFORMATION PEOPLE........

If you should have any problems voting, you can still vote. You must ask for a provisional ballot at the polling place. Federal law states they must have them there in case a person has a problem voting. You still cast a vote but that vote goes to the board of registrars, and you must submit proof to them you are and was eligible to vote at that time they turned you away because you didnt have the proper credentials on election day. Once you submit proof your vote will then be counted. Even after election day the count isnt official until all provisional votes are counted...so thats very important if you should get turned away for any reason. DO NOT walk away until they provide you with a provisional ballot...its a Law, Federal Law......so this applies to anyone and everyone no matter where you live

Nation of Change: ALEC, Fracking, Ohio, Loophole, Exxon, Ohio

The Progressive Influence has consumed moderate amounts of cyber space with screeds about the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).  It shouldn't take a mind-altering capriole to understand all associated with The Progressive Influence are ecstatic about the approximate 20 corporations that have dropped from the ALEC membership roster. While we remain agonizingly perplexed as to why so many major US corporations (many of which produce and sell consumer products)  would consider ALEC a cost-of-doing-business, thus a Profit and Loss item.

The following piece from Nations of Change.org exemplifies the extent to which the conservative organization works to ensure 'corporate profits' without any regard for "good for the people". Yes, Mitt Romney says  "....corporations are people, my friend." Mitt Romney's true friend are corporations who funnel money to legislators and model legislation for hand-off to "money-sopping" legislators, not people. Also of critical importance, is the "Loophole" referred to throughout the article.  If you pay close attention to the loophole, you will see why some, or many, on the Left have nothing but contempt for ALEC, and privilege afforded via legislation signed by George W. Bush.

Nations of Change.org: ALEC Slips EXXON Fracking Loophole Into New Ohio Law

Article image

Published: Friday 1 June 2012

With direct financial support from Exxon, API, TransCanada and others, the Council of State Governments (CSG) drafted a similar fracking chemical “disclosure” bill two months before ALEC’s was internally approved, although they both appear to be modeled off of a Texas law.king an Exxon trojan horse on hydrofracking into state law, and it appears that the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) connected Exxon’s lawyers with co-sponsors of Ohio Senate Bill 315: at least 33 of the 45 Ohio legislators who co-sponsored SB 315 are ALEC members, and language from portions of the state Senate bill is similar to ALEC’s “Disclosure of Hydraulic Fracturing Fluid Composition Act.”
disclosure of fracking fluids? On behalf of ExxonMobil?
_____________________________________

Wake up and smell the frack fluid. But don’t ask what’s in it, at least not in Ohio, cause it’s still not your right to know.
Ohio is in the final stages of making an Exxon trojan horse on hydrofracking into state law, and it appears that the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) connected Exxon’s lawyers with co-sponsors of Ohio Senate Bill 315: at least 33 of the 45 Ohio legislators who co-sponsored SB 315 are ALEC members, and language from portions of the state Senate bill is similar to ALEC’s “Disclosure of Hydraulic Fracturing Fluid Composition Act.”
disclosure of fracking fluids? On behalf of ExxonMobil?
Frack fluids include unknown chemicals that gas drillers mix with sand and large amounts of water. The mixture is pumped underground at high pressure in order to retrieve gas and oil by fracturing shale formations. These are the chemicals that have caused widespread concern among residents near gas fracking operations; concerns echoed by doctors who don’t know how to treat patients harmed by exposure to chemicals that oil companies keep secret. Oil companies like XTO Energy, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, the first company lined up to drill in Ohio’s Utica shale.
Concern over unconventional energy like gas fracking may be the reason by Ohio SB 315 also addresses clean energy standards and drilling regulations. While the new law will allow doctors to obtain disclosure of fracking chemicals, it places a gag order on them…meaning some chemicals aren’t disclosed to the public at all (Cleveland Plain Dealer). Instead, chemicals that subsidiaries of Big Oil use during fracking can remain exempt from public disclosure as “trade secrets,” mirroring language of ALEC’s model law.

The New York Times reaches into an American closet!....

..and how the closet has ghost of years past...and not just in the South!

avernise  and Jeff Zeleny (contributing writer) of the New York Times published a screed that many will be shunned, others will read with disgust, and still others will read with recognition of reality accompanied by "just don't mention it" like Americana.  The headline reads as follows.

"4 Years Later, Race Is Still Issue for Some Voters"

If you read our op-eds and comment from time to time, you know our thoughts on the headline.  There is little need to dwell there, but there is relevance in the New York Times article.  Relevance in the irrefutable reality of America as a nation very much still suffering from deep-rooted racism. Rather than editorialize on the Tavernise article, allow me to post specific passages for your edification.

First allow a qualifier.  The demographics of the piece is small town Ohio (a critical re-election State for President Obama).  Another demographic is the heavily mining, blue-collar and saturated labor supportive denizens of Steubenville, Ohio.

Excerpts....

A president's previously stated perspective on race and his election.

“I never bought into the notion that by electing me, somehow we were entering into a post-racial period,” Mr. Obama said in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“I’ve seen in my own lifetime how racial attitudes have changed and improved, and anybody who suggests that they haven’t isn’t paying attention or is trying to make a rhetorical point,” he said. “Because we all see it every day, and me being in this Oval Office is a testimony to changes that have been taking place.”

This is the land of die-hard Democrats — mill workers, coal miners and union members. They have voted party line for generations, forming a reliable constituency for just about any Democrat who decides to run for office.

Public Swimming Pool.... Whites Only (State's Rights Anyone?)

1955? (NO) 1960?(NO) 1965?(NO) 2011 (YES)!!!

The 24/7 cable news channels (with a possible exception for one such network) are running a story about a Cincinnati, Ohio 'landlord'.  The building owner may have violated federal  Fair Housing Laws and possibly violated other Civil Liberties laws.  The landlord was found on the wrong side of equal opportunity laws for hanging a sign near a swimming pool that read "Whites Only". Apparently, Ms. Jamie Hein feels that the equal rights commission's ruling of 'guilt' was wrong; she is appealing the ruling.

Details about the case 'so' remind of days long past.  Even more tragic is how anyone in the nation could feel our world has changed such that it is acceptable to so blatantly practice racism and overt 'PROPERTY OWNER" right to segregate people. (Caps for Congressmen Ron and Rand Paul).  Regardless of your perception of the  following details or my perception of the details, Hein is a racist.  Her actions are no different from the 'in-your-face' (state's rights) racism and discrimination of segregationist like Lester Maddox (Georgia) George Wallace (Alabama), J. P. Coleman (Mississippi), Luther Hodges (North Carolina), and Leroy Collins (Florida). She made the decision to restrict the interaction among people based solely on race or related issues that separate people based on race.

A Referendum Against Republicanism Circa 2011?

After reviewing last evenings voting results, it is clear the 2010 sweep of the Tea Party and the GOP gubernatorial 2010 electoral wins has resulted in  'buyer's remorse'. I prefer the words 'cognitive dissonance:  " Psychological conflict resulting from incongruous beliefs and attitudes held simultaneously".  (Merriam-Webster)  Both phrases are one in the same. After less than one full year, it became obvious many voted without full grasp of what was to come.  The GOP agenda that swept into the elected offices just after inauguration was not inclusive of issues that were part of the  campaigns.

The GOP and the GOTP (Tea Party) with their skilled political operatives and funders, overwhelmingly applied a "shelllacking" according to President Obama.  Yes, they did just that. Let's take a look at the post 2010 election environment.

After taking office victorious state governors started their agenda based marches as surely as the Tea Party members of Congress locked the House and the Senate in gridlock. The governors started dismantling public service collective bargaining in their states. Thus, laying-off thousands of public service employees.  Some governors fought for legislation that would forbid opportunity for employees to collectively bargain in the future. State legislatures voted with the governors making their Right-Wing attack on the nation legislatively valid and  constitutionally correct.  In Congress, Tea Party House of Representatives commenced their dismantling programs they perceived as 'liberal'.  The House worked  unusually hard to      programs that  Republicans  have history viewed as too progressive. (i.e., NPR).  Another widely reported assault on Health Services Programs was the efforts to de -fund    Planned Parenthood. An assault based on the GOP 'lie' that its services were 99% 'abortion' related.  These were but a few of the GOP agenda items voters swept into office in the fall of 2010.

"Legislatively valid and  constitutionally correct", ah but they forgot the People!
