Operation American Spring: DUD! People Just Do Not Like Sedition

As we report on the newly formed and developing Operation American Spring (OSA) movement, our intent is not to ridicule. We are Americans and we can do what we wish as long as it doesn't endanger others and is within the confines of the law. Our time spent on OSA, is equal to the effort expended on the 2009 Tea Party, so we are not beating-up on what has started as an oasis.

Deep scrutiny of OAS should become a law enforcement operational mission.  No matter the icing, open sedition against the US government should be considered without regard for constitutional rights. Our government is up for grabs every four years with opportunity to affect changer in the US House every two years. People who espouse revolt against a duly elected government are dangerous people. They are not so dangerous in relation to their collective ideology. They are dangerous regarding the potential actions of even one movement zealot or sycophant. Such movements provide fertile growth potential for people who strive for and spending lavishly to move towards oligarchy.

As I viewed the following march related items, I notice not one person of color among the protesters. If I am correct we didn't see any people of color in the 2009 birth of the Tea Party.

April 9th 2014, the birth of a movement.  Do you recall the 2009 Tea party Movement; the Koch brother brainchild born out of the election of Barack H, Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America.

The Kochs and their highly compensated operatives developed a movement that literally "shellacked' the Democrats in 2010. A shellacking that handed the GOP an opportunity that will shape the nation for many years. In fact, the Tea Party House of Oz may retain a solid hold on the House of Representatives until 2021. After the next US Census and a Democratic win in the House, DEM party leaders may have opportunity to re-district representative districts currently proliferating for the GOP like a front yard full of Dandelions in early May.

The Tea Party has fizzled as a viable social movement. Yet, angry white Americans, older angry white Americans, Fox News hosts and Koch operatives delivered a US Congress that the nation this and not much more.

Congressional Job Approval: Recent Trend

In essence, millions followed the Kochs down a path to a lowered national credit rating, deep and severe cuts in public sector employment, partisan politics unparalleled in US History, denied payments to the unemployed, and deep cuts in food programs that also benefit the elderly and low ranking military families.

The Tea Party fizzled. Far-right malcontent with the loss of the 2008 election has metastasized post-2012 to full-blown sedition. Circa 2012 and forward we have witnessed a major cable network with at least one host who espouses open sedition against the US government. A host who literally rallied behind tax evading/racist Cliven Bundy until Bundy revealed his inner core.   We find weekly exhibition of overt racism, often aimed directly to our president.  And we are seeing new anti-government efforts to stoke anti-US fervor, Fervor that as of this April saw the birth of a seditious movement that should draw attention from the same authorities that so effectively infiltrated Occupy Wall Street.

Operation American Spring (OAS) is upon us.  A quick peep at  OAS will clearly show the extent to which its organizers espouses sedition.
The goal, according to retired Col Harry Riley, is the removal of President Obama, Vice President Biden, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio and California Democrat Nancy Pelosi, the House Minority Leader.

If you want to see the extent to which Riley and his backers envision their movement to "Take My Country Back," you may want to check the OAS website. Linked

The following image had to have been the ( future perfect progressivevision of the OAS. The language tense reference has nothing to do with progressive thought; you can rest assured of that fact.

Today's event apparently started with a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

Operation American Spring....A Metastasized Tea Party

Operation American Spring
“It grew legs and now we feel the wind of God is behind us,” Riley said in describing the DC rally he first envisioned last December and has promoted through social media and the Internet. Harry G. Riley

Harry G. Riley tells Hatewatch his “Operation American Spring” is attracting widespread militia support and will be the sequel to last month’s Cliven Bundy standoff in Nevada, “forcing the government thugs to back down in the face of ‘We the People.’” Harry G. Riley
Alas, yet another sedition movement with a leader who reaches to Cliven Bundy as a model of resisting "federal government thugs." Harry Riley has no reservation about connecting with this......

US News Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy was all over the national media this past week when federal Bureau of Land Management agents seized his cattle to settle the more than $1 million in unpaid fines he’d racked up since 1993. Armed militants flocked to Bundy’s side, prompting the bureau to back off for fear of human safety. The fines are a result of Bundy grazing his 900 cattle on 600,000 acres of bureau-managed public lands since 1993 without a permit. He’s ignored his fees, fines, permits and multiple court orders.  Read More

Operation American Spring

A demonstration and March to remove the entirety US federal leadership.

Removal with one very obvious exception. The seditious former military colonel has no interest in removing the current House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor (R) VA.

I find the target list (embed below) particularly intriguing. As is always the case the seditious leader has no published plan to replace the US government. Or, I should say he has no publishable plan as any such plan might prove conspicuous and revealing. Any "replace the US government" plan couldn't help but reveal the ugly underbelly of noted US oligarchs who are salivating for open and unfettered industrialism, social regression (including re-segregating school systems, and who funnel millions (maybe a billion) into all things anti-Obama.

We should wonder if the totally fizzled Tea party fell shy of its mission, and if former tea party funding is the financial fuel for civil action as the coming march and protest. While we make no direct accusations of Koch brothers funding of the coming  March, Koch funding aid to Bundy's tax evasion is readily available. MSNBC's Steve Benen published an exemplary piece of how post Bundy's "Let me tell what I know about the Negro" the Koch's American for Prosperity busily went about scrubbing its funding trial.

Yet, the Operation American Spring leader affectionately connects to Bundy, the now quiet fox News hero.

Retired Army Colonel Plans Militia-Backed ‘Operation American Spring’ to Force Obama Out of Office

A 76-year-old retired U.S. Army colonel is planning an event in Washington, D.C., on May 16, that he hopes will attract millions of antigovernment patriots voicing a “simple demand” – the resignations of President Obama and ranking members of Congress.
Harry G. Riley tells Hatewatch his “Operation American Spring” is attracting widespread militia support and will be the sequel to last month’s Cliven Bundy standoff in Nevada, “forcing the government thugs to back down in the face of ‘We the People.’”
“It does embolden me and gives me courage,” Riley said of the Bundy standoff, that ended with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management calling off its roundup of the rancher’s cattle for non-payment of grazing fees. Much of Bundy’s support evaporated when he made racist comments.
“The militia groups and the others stood up for Bundy and the government thugs stood down,” Riley said.  “I hope people feel the same way about Operation American Spring.”
In fact, Riley said he hopes members of Congress will “come to their senses,” leave their offices and join in the demonstration set to begin in two weeks.
“It’s a sacrificial effort by patriots who believe our nation is in jeopardy,” Riley told Hatewatch today from his home in Crestview, Fla.   “Our government at the federal level is totally lawless.  Our nation is in grave danger right now of internal implosion.”
While the event is attracting interest from various antigovernment and militia groups, those who join Riley will have to leave their guns behind or face arrest in the District of Columbia.
The group will not apply for a U.S. Park Service demonstration permit “because we are just a bunch of individual patriots who plan on visiting Washington, D.C., exercising our constitutional rights, all at the same time,” Riley told Hatewatch.
Operation American Spring already has delivered its “declaration of revision” demand packets to all 535 members of Congress, Riley said.  The packets call for the impeachment or resignations of President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., the Senate majority leader; Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the Senate minority leader; House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., the House minority leader, and Attorney General Eric Holder.Operation-American-Spring“These are individuals who are violating their oaths of office and not following their responsibilities under the Constitution,” Riley said.
Those resignation or impeachment demands, Riley said, will be backed by the forthcoming demonstration – “the only simple way to express the collective voice of ‘We the People.’”
“It grew legs and now we feel the wind of God is behind us,” Riley said in describing the DC rally he first envisioned last December and has promoted through social media and the Internet.

As elements of the population openly espouse sedition against the US government, a relevant question comes to mind. How could these people have sat through eight years of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney with no overt expression of malcontent as our nation devolved into an economically unstable and internationally embarrassing shell of it former greatness?

Yes, you know the question was a rhetorical question!
