The Daily GOP Ignominious: Fossil Fuel Barons Are Busy With Your GOP

A couple of days ago, we published a piece in which we reported on Paul Ryan's potential receipt of $500K (campaign contributions) from the Koch brothers.

As we watch the horror of GOP elimination and dismantling measures to protect our environment from fossil fuel barons, it is truly disgusting to witness our politicians pad their bank accounts and their campaign hoppers.

"Shithole Countries" Part IV: Mia Love Admits Trump's Remarks Were Racist

It took a few days, but the Utah Representative finally succumbed to the reality Trump's Africa, El Salvador and Haiti comments were racist (and from the mouth of a racist).

Have you heard anything for Mitch McConnell?

Watch and listen to Paul Ryan, House Speaker and third in ascendancy to the US Presidency, fold up like a guilty child a, lower his head away from the cameras and struggle through comments about Trump's racist remarks. Ryan is a full grown man, elected officials paid over $225,000 via tax dollars and he has children.

The GOP is a shameful embarrassment to the United States.

Rep. Mia Love Hesitantly Admits Trump's Africa 'Sh*thole' Slur Is 'Racist'

Republican Rep. Mia Love of Utah on Sunday accused Donald Trump of making "racist" remarks about Haiti and African countries. In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Love sidestepped the fact that Republican lawmakers had yet to forcefully condemn Trump for reportedly saying that African countries were a "shithole" and immigrants from Haiti did not deserve…

Another Mass Killing, A Party Which Feigns Astonishment , And GOP Talking Points

The Bad, The Bad and The Ugly

Image result for bump stocks

Earlier today, MSNBC's Hugh Hewitt (not in any way a regular show host at my residence) interview Paul Ryan, Majority Leader of the US House of Representatives. The interview included comment from Ryan along the lines of he was unaware of the raid fire weapon augmentation device called the Stock Bump.  How is that possible?

Wisconsin's Gary Johnson-US Senate (R) commented on the rapid-fire weapon tool.
"I have no problem in banning those," he said.

Senator Cornyn- Texas (R) took his comments a step further, but drew back shy of an en statement on banning the rapid-fire tool.  I suppose Cornyn needs to check with the NRA for its position on the issue.
"If somebody can essentially convert a semi-automatic weapon by buying one of these and utilizing it and cause the kind of mayhem and mass casualties that we saw in Las Vegas, that's something of obvious concern that we ought to explore," Cornyn told reporters.
".....concern that we ought to explore" Why not work on a full ban next week?

How about one minute of the ugliness of why many members of the US Congress pay little attention to the deep clear and present dangers inherent in the NRA and other gun lobby groups?

The New York Times just yesterday published an opinion piece about the top 10 members from both Houses of Congres.  Is there any wonder we have heard or read one iota of comment from either of those 20 elected officials?

If you are an HIV (High Information Voter), you may have interest in an Open Secrets piece regarding the NRA's financial contributions

The nation has a serious, no the nation has a grave, problem with the state of Republicanism. While we certainly have Democrats who receive donations from the NRA and another gun lobbyist, the proportion of politically focused dark dollars leans far to the Right. If the Las Vegas shooter actually, as reported, purchased 33 guns over the course of the past year, the nation has an inarguable problem, and we have a majority party in both congressional houses which may turn a discerning and critical eye from such killings.

How can we avoid more mass killings, If we are faced with a White House and GOP which handles tragedies as witnessed this past Sunday with talking points leaked and published by NBC News?

After the pathetic set of Rightwing talking points is there any real prospect our national leaders will work to avoid tragic mass killings? Is it a stretch to realize the following potential killer could have targeted you?
......and they will come for you.

Trumpcare Passes US House

Donald Trump, Mike (henchman) Pence and Paul Ryan have spent the better art of the past week lobbying or threatening GOP members of the House to support the Draconian House bill. Ryan is rushing the bill through the House much like he criticized Democrats in 2009 for their developing Affordable Care Act Bill. It should be noted the CBO hasn't scored the latest gyration of Trumpcare.  We suspect the latest bill would lead to far more uninsured than the previous CBO scoring with the revelation of coverage losses to 24 million Americans.

Paul Ryan 2009....watch the first 1:45 minutes.

Oh, how time sheds different light on life.

As the House moves to pass an ACA repeal bill, one aspect of their anti-ACA rhetoric is the business of "only one insurance carrier in some states". What comes next will not surprise the highly informed, it should alarm low information people who soak-up GOP bullcrap like a dry sponge on a 100 degree Fahrenheit day.
Early morning hate feeding from Fox to its sycophant minions. I will wager some of the show's viewers will lose their healthcare coverage.
I actually heard a GOP member of Congress say to CNN's Dana Bash within the hour: "This bill will help employers reduce costs." Of course, it will. Employee medical coverage for large employers is the single most large and burdensome expense. Exhibit A. Legal Zoom  B. Your Busienss.Azcentral
Lest we forget "corporations are people, my friend!" Mitt Romney 2012.

"Hysterical"... Imagine the reaction of people who will be thrown off the registers of the medically insured. Now that will be a moment of hysteria.
While Republicans in Congress were moving towards repeal the ACA, Trump waddled to the Rose Garden to sign a religious Executive Order which will eventually lead to forms of federal sanctioned discrimination.
Your GOP at work. Remember, we may these people $175.000 plus expenses to hold their seats in the US Congress.

If you prefer not to view the video, we offer a CNN Money summary of what is In and what is Out of current ACA coverage. Link.
Here are the key measures in the House bill (MSNBC):
  • Mandates: It guts the IRS requirement in Obamacare that people with purchase health insurance or face a fine.
  • Tax credits: The bill replaces subsidies for people to purchase insurance in the individual market in the Affordable Care Act based on income with refundable tax credits based on age. The impact is that it will provide more people with assistance but with fewer dollars, especially for the older Americans.
  • Medicaid: The Medicaid expansion is frozen immediately and in two years the states can start to adopt either a block grant for the program or a new formula based on population instead of need. In an attempt to make the bill more conservative, work requirements have been added for most able-bodied recipients who aren't pregnant or caring for a child under 6.
  • High risk pools: The bill provides $130 billion to states over ten years for high risk insurance pools to cover the most expensive to insure. A new amendment by Rep. Fred Upton of Michigan adds an additional $8 billion to assist people with pre-existing conditions.
  • State waivers: States can obtain waivers so insurers don't have to offer robust benefits packages that include maternity care and mental health coverage. Waivers can also be obtained to charge sicker people and people with pre-existing conditions more. Those people would most likely then go into the high risk insurance pools.
  • Taxes: It repeals every Obamacare tax including the .9 percent tax on couples making more than $250,000 and a 3.8 percent tax on investment income.
  • Health Savings Accounts: The measure increases the allowable contribution limits of Health Savings Accounts
  • Other: It keeps the Obamacare provision that people under the age of 26 can stay on their parents' insurance.

Trump Lying: A Prelude To The Future

Image result for joseph goebbels quotesA few days ago we published a piece about Trump's utter lack of veracity and a growing disdain for facts from the GOP.

Facts? Who wants facts anymore when we elected a candidate with a proven record of lying over 90% of the time.
A noted Trump surrogate and 'presstitute' proclaims life under Trump.
“One thing that’s been interesting this entire campaign season to watch is that people that say facts are facts. They’re not really facts,” Trump surrogate Scottie Nell Hughes said on “The Diane Rehm Show” on NPR. “It’s kind of like looking at ratings or looking at a glass of half-full water. Everybody has a way of interpreting them to be the truth or not true. There’s no such thing, unfortunately, anymore as facts.”
Hughes at work...

It seems the memo regarding Trump and his pathological lying is to simply dismiss it as an idiosyncrasy not worthy of consideration. Moreover, GOP leadership and Trump "presstitues" (Including Pence) are suggesting the US public simply ignore Trump's twitter malady.
Paul Ryan spoke oa segment of 60 Minutes about his lack of regard from Trump's serial lying and twitter addiction. I believe I read or heard the third person in ascendancy to the US Presidency used the phrase "who cares" regarding Trump's lies.
When Pelley continued to press him, Ryan said that the fact that the president-elect of the United States circulates false information on social media is not a concern to him
“It doesn’t matter to me. He won the election,” he said. “The way I see the tweets you’re talking about, he’s basically giving voice to a lot of people who have felt that they were voiceless. He’s communicating with people in this country who’ve felt like they have not been listened to. He’s going to be an unconventional president.”
“Who cares what he tweeted, you know, on some Thursday night, if we fix this country’s big problems?” he added. “That’s just the way I look at this.”
Ryan's Party leader started the Sunday news cycle with the most astronomical lie, since he lost the popular vote on November 8, 2016. The NYC carnival barker actually continues to claim that millions upon millions of votes were fraudulently cast.

Of course, Ryan's Sunday comment resulted from yet another of Trump's insane tweets:

In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally
2:30 PM - 27 Nov 2016

Ryan' lack of veracity and common decency is well documented from at least one escapade during the 2012 Romney/Ryan presidential run.

Ryan, family, campaign stooges and a camera crew invaded a Washington, DC soup pantry and feign washing pots. Pots which we actually clean. We should also note Ryan was not invited to the pantry.

CBS News
October 15, 2012, 3:19 PM

GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan on Saturday stopped at a soup kitchen in Youngstown, Ohio, where he and members of his family washed dishes for several minutes. The head of the charity has since come out saying Ryan's visit violated the organization's political status, and that Ryan "just came in here to get his picture taken."
What we saw and heard was nothing more than a Trump-like photo and video shoot. The ultimate of pathetic? Ryan's deployed his wife and children as part of the lie.

It is absolutely fascinating US media offers Trump's sick mind an opportunity to spew outright lies across the globe.

Excerpts from the Huffington Post piece linked above also show Pence, Priebus and other 'presstitues' are carrying the also message.

Despite the GOP strategy aside, what message are we delivering to foreign leaders and citizens of other lands? How can any rational foreign leader (outside of Putin and North Korea's Jong Un) place any faith in Trump's meandering psychologically deprived oral manifestations (AKA lies)? Of course, Putin sits in anticipation of a bumbling international idiot who would probably sell a kid to make a buck. Also, rest assured Putin's $250 billion stashed across the globe and his uber billionaire Russian oligarchs will handle Trump like a chess pawn.

After assisting in providing many platforms for Trump's successful campaign, CNN producers have unleashed their media reporter with a challenge to Trump's cable news conduit to the American people. Brian Stelter's segment is newsworthy, but it pales against the reality of CNN's so over-the-top Trump "oozing" and flawed reporting form the first Trump phone calls into CNN hosts.

The Daily GOP Ignominious: Trumpism (Taco Salad, Rick Perry, Refusal To Denounce)

The level and scope of Trump unfavorable are astounding  The rational person has to ask, "how can so many Americans fall for the child-like demeanor and rhetoric of Donald Trump?"  The answer to the question lies in Trump's celebrity, oratory (albeit ridiculous and often shameful), and opportunity. Let's take a quick look and read about political opportunity from one very disingenuous Republican.

Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House, stated he is not yet ready to endorse Trump.  No worries, Ryan will follow lock-step along with others in his party, but for now, let's consider Ryan.

He obviously has gotten the Memo from the RNC regarding referring to the GOP as the party of Lincoln.  Really?

Watch what you can of the following interview. After you can watch no more consider visiting the link that follows the video.

Rest assured Ryan will cuddle under to Trump immediately after the meeting schedule with the RNC Chair on Thursday of this week.

Trump refuses to denounce his neo-nazi followers and supporters. It is important to recognize Wolf Blitzer is Jewish.  Trump doesn't even have the inner core to even slightly modify his paradigm during an international interview.  He clearly is counting on the white male vote to take him to the White House.

If you need more validation of Trumps appeal to white supremacists, white nationalists, and simple-minded racists, try Pat Buchanan on for size.

Pat Buchanan joins David Duke in supporting Trump while continuing to work towards whitewashing America.

Some do not fall far from the tree.

Happy ! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics! https://www.facebook.com/DonaldTrump/posts/10157008375200725:0

Trump's special form of bigotry and racism regarding an American dish as a tool to offer carnival barker messages to Latinos was both revealing and horrific. If you want to see and hear worse, watch as the RNC Chair, Reince Priebus, avoids criticizing his racist nascent party leader.

Politico’s Mike Allen asked Priebus about Trump'sexhibition. Believe it or not, Priebus started his remarks with an: "uh."
“Uh, he’s trying,” Priebus says to audience laughter. “Honestly, he’s trying and I’ll tell you what, and I honestly think he understands that building and unifying and growing the party is the only way we’re gonna win.”
"He's trying."  "Trying!"
Priebus's remarks provide validation of Trump's over the top flawed social views ad elitism?
Trump and Priebus and their part in this latest example of true racism are only surpassed by the reality Trumps tea allowed him to develop such an exhibition. It would be interesting to know who in Trump's corral actually came up with the idea? After that, it would be even more interesting to know Trump's top advisors didn't reject the exhibition. The answer is obvious, elitism and bigotry are rampant in all things Trump.
